Willow Cottage is a quaint old cottage in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Inverness which has been carefully renovated to provide bright, welcoming accommodation for up to 4 guests. The Scandi style open plan living room/kitchen has a white oiled wooden floor and wood burning stove. There is a shower room downstairs and a bathroom upstairs, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. In the small garden there is a patio for outside dining and a parking space for one car in the shared courtyard.

Original features include a huge 18th century stone fireplace and slate floors, alongside modern comforts such as a wood burning stove, open plan kitchen, shower room and king size bed (+travel cot on request). The location offers the best of both worlds, it has many historical attractions located within walking distance such as Culloden Battlefield, Cumberland stone and Clava Cairns, whilst only a short drive from the city centre where you can find Inverness castle, the river ness and a wide range of shops and restaurants. Inverness is a vibrant area perfect for the beginning of the NC500.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families (with kids). Easy access to all transport links. We welcome everybody.
