Ulafossene is a 5-minute walk from the cabin and you can hear the roar of Ulafossene from the porch. The cabin is a perfect starting point for mountain trips in Rondane National Park, and several of Rondane's 2000 meter peaks. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. Water must be carried in and there is an outhouse. The cabin has electricity, and there is a road all year round.

And if you want to enjoy yourself indoors with a fire in the oven, something hot to drink, a good book or a game, or if you want to go skiing, go for a walk on snowshoes, a snowshoe hike, ice fishing, burn a fire, make a snow cave and snow lantern, or just look at the stars, then this can be the place. There are miles of prepared ski slopes. The trails start right outside the farm, or you can drive a short distance to start the trip on the high mountain.

The local village Skåbu (Skaabu) with a church, school, restaurant and supermarket is the highest altitude inhabited village in northern Europe.

Dette skjedde under kristninga av Norge. På gården finnes den hellige brønnen "Olavskilden". Kjøreavstand til Oslo er 250 km og det samme til Trondheim. Her kan du dra på ski i Hafjell, Kvitfjell, Gålå, nasjonalparken Jotunheimen eller Rondane. Om sommer kan du se Peer Gynt, moskus-safari eller dagstur til Geiranger.
