It is open-space with a bedroom area with a double bed and a living room area with a single sofa-bed, a dining table, and a kitchen, it’s fully equipped, the Cellar also has a beautiful garden overlooking the forest that covers the Sintra Mountains where you can find a BBQ area with a large table and sitting spaces, ideal for eating, entertaining, and relaxing surrounded by nature.

Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

The container unit is private only for you. Its entrance is via the the subroom. This sunroom, as well as laundry space, garden and backoffice / storage space is shared with the other unit (2pax) Our local community also offers a small local beach bar, a pizza place and a micro brewery & hamburger restaurant.
