Our Cabin in the Trees

Rural location in Tappen. Our 400 sq ft one bedroom suite is equipped with a full kitchen, living space and a bathroom with a shower. Whether you are looking for a weekend escape, attending a local event, or in transit between Vancouver and Calgary, you will enjoy the peace and quiet of our surroundings. We have a second unit on the ground floor of our house called The Sunset Studio. If you are traveling with someone else and they would like their own space, check its availability calendar.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, glasses, mugs, coffee maker, kettle and other amenities that will allow you to have a meal on the deck or at the dining table in the suite. The suite is air conditioned and the living area has a cozy natural gas fireplace for those cooler days and nights.

We are a 2 minute drive from the Trans Canada highway, making it convenient as an overnight stop between Vancouver and Calgary. FREE off-road parking for 2 vehicles! There is a queen size bed in bedrooms, with comfortable duvet. The sitting room has a queen sized Murphy bed, with the couch folding out to a double bed. Kitchenette (with no sink) WIFI, and lots of TV channels for your viewing pleasure. 15 min walk to local pub, and a 5 minute drive to downtown amenities.

Beautifully appointed upper floor of a downtown home. On a secluded treed street, walk to downtown or the hospital. Panoramic view of the lake, Mt Ida and Salmon Arm Wharf from your private covered deck. Stainless steel appliances, W/D, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, custom tiled shower, Smart TV flat screen TV with cable, high speed wifi, air conditioning in the bedroom. Strictly non-smoking. Blinds and blackout curtains in the bedroom.

Cosy studio cabin/ yard with easy highway access

Whether it’s your home on the way or a longer stay, you will enjoy your time here. Our little cabin has been recently fully renovated and is very clean. It is situated just 5 minute drive to Sunnybrae beach, 10 minutes to Blind Bay and Salmon Arm is just 15 minutes away. The yard shares a fence with horses, sheep and entertaining goats. We welcome well behaved dogs in the cabin, please let us know if you will be bringing one.
