Spyglass is a private villa located in Booby Hill within walking distance of Windwardside. Spyglass Villa is a haven of tranquility and beauty and features a walkout panoramic veranda with extraordinary views of nearby islands, sea and mountains.
“Expect a prefect experience at "Spyglass" Even if you only visited the outside, you would be treated with a truly amazing 270 degree view unfolded over the ocean, islands and mountain before you displaying magnificent views in every direction. Powerful binoculars are provided to see even more! Beautifully and naturally landscaped lot. Excellent outdoor seating options to accommodate whatever you goal would be for partaking in outdoor enjoyment. The construction and architecture, with it the trims and attention to detail was exceptional. (Would love to see pictures of what it looked like when Barney and associates started the reconstruction project). Inside is a real treat too. Sleek and functional cabinetry and furnishings. Two high end bathrooms, each with two sinks and one had two shower heads in a very large shower space. The Beautifully Designed Kitchen has everything you need to cook both indoors or out, on the gas grill. A variety of wine glasses available that are suitably designed for any type of wine you choose. So nice that leftover supplies remain available for the next guest. Lots of spices, some wines and spirits and mixers, coffee, , and random things like tune fish, mayo, vinegar, oils, etc. There is a large supply of paper and cleaning products. Virtually limitless availability of high quality towels and linens. Really great bedding. The house is spotless when you get there and cleaning is provided whenever you want it, be it daily or, like us, only on the days when you are out diving or whatever. When Jovie finishes, the place is sparkling clean with a wonderful clean smell. Technology conveniently available at no charge for wireless, phone, Dish TV, high quality TV (My husband, who watched the Superbowl and the morning market shows, said the "picture was excellent"). Interesting art tastefully adorns the walls and shelves. A selection of books and games for future entertainment. The only problem with giving "Spyglass" the highest or the high rating it deserves is that it may become so popular that we have difficulty booking it for future winter trips. Looking forward to future visits, Jackie and Chuck”
The apartment is downstairs from our house above. We are at the end of the road so it is usually quiet. At night the only sounds are nature and when cars come to turn at the end of the road. There are 180 degree views of the ocean. It's a great place to watch birds catching the updrafts. You will need a car to get around Saba from here or use the various taxis. There is access to some great hiking trails right from our driveway.
“I stayed at a studio behind the ridge at Zion's Hill and I must admit it was amazing. Other than the place is so beautiful and very peaceful which is what we were looking for our hosts Jacqui and Menno were super. Very accommodating to all our needs and if for whatever reason they personally weren't able to help us, they made sure to point us in the right direction where we were assisted. Definitely hope to return soon.”
Welcome to "House on The Path". Nestled 1500 feet above sea level, "House on The Path" is a charming restored, original Saban style cottage with an intimate setting. It is secluded by a five minute hike isolated from neighbors and traffic. The house is a perfect romantic vacation cottage for honeymoon couples and an exciting adventure for those interested in an Eco Experience.
“Cottage on the path is very unique in its location and its vibe. It is a very private space on the trail to Mt. Scenery ( you have to take at least 30 steep steps in order to get to the house) The set up of the cottage is very rustic and beautiful . You feel like you are in the middle of rainforest. The house has everything that you need - bathroom, 2 bedrooms, front and back porch with beautiful views. We took the taxi from the Airport to the house and it seemed like everybody on the island knows where Cottage on the Path is. You do not need a car to get around the island. Hiking, snorkeling and eating out are the main activities. We absolutely fell in love with the island and its people. We would stay at the cottage again once we come back to Saba. Thank you for your hospitality.”
