The "Highlands" is an excellent location for beach access (Popamora Point), bike trails, cute breakfast joints (Bay Ave Bakery & Cafe and Zoe's Vintage Kitchen), fun hangouts like The Seafarer and Proving Ground with fun outdoor beach vibes that often have live music, seafood restaurants (Bahrs Landing and Moby's Lobster Deck), and high end restaurants (on First Ave. in Atlantic Highlands).

One of the only beach parks in the Monmouth County park system. Views of NYC and Navy Weapons Station Earl (sometimes you can catch a Navy ship docked in the port). Enjoy a day on the beach tanning, swimming, and fishing from the pier.
