Visit La Jolla Cove to see the sea lions and to access the Coast Trail to the north along the top of the cliffs. The nearby Children’s Pool to the south has harbor seals (baby seals from winter to spring). Nice walk between the two.

At Torrey Pines Glider Port, you can sit on top of the cliffs and watch the paragliders. In the winter you can sometimes spot whales offshore. There’s a good sandwich shop and if you’re feeling brave you can go on a tandem glide. There is a trail leading down to Blacks Beach, a clothing optional beach and a killer surf break.
