You’ll have a bedroom, ensuite shower room and your own private separate kitchenette in our colourful Californian style bungalow. Both rooms lead off the front door which we don’t use so you don’t have to enter the main part of the house unless you wish to. We are in a convenient & quiet location for visiting Mumbles, Gower and Swansea; it’s 5 min walk from beach & coast path, 10 min from shops, cafes & bars of Mumbles & 10 min drive to the Uni. Free Parking next to house.
You’ll be staying in a cosy bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and a private ensuite shower room concealed behind a mirrored door. The chairs and headboard are upholstered in Caroline’s own textile designs and one wall of the room is taken up by fitted wardrobes which you can use to store your luggage and clothes in during your stay. We have recently installed a separate private kitchenette with a sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery opposite the bedroom. It’s fully functional but it’s a work in progress as I take the time in between hosting to hand decorate the walls! Both the bedroom and kitchenette are at the front of the house next to the front door. We don’t use the front door and to give you more privacy we keep the inner door to the main house closed. As some guests have commented its like having your own private suite! You’ll have your own set of keys and you don’t need to enter the main house unless you wish to sit in the garden. Our property was built by an architect as his own home in the 1960's. He’d spent some time in California and the design and layout is inspired by a Californian bungalow, the type you see in a David Hockney painting! It is built around an outdoor swimming pool which takes up most of the garden and the south facing verandah gets so hot in the summer sun that we grow our own grapes. You’re welcome to sit in the garden. Please note that the pool is not fenced off so the property is not suitable for very young children. The house has been featured in many publications - as a progressive project during and shortly after it's construction and more recently for it's beautiful setting and unusual and colourful interior. If you want a few days to relax, walk, eat, drink and leave your car, the beaches, coastal path, castle and village of Mumbles are all close by. We are in a convenient location on a very quiet road road with easy access to the amenities of the area. Turn left out of the front door and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to Rotherslade Beach which is sandy and pebbly with a cafe serving breakfast, lunch and coffee all day. 5 minutes walk round the corner to the right is Langland Bay which is a larger sandy beach, popular with surfers and paddle boarders. It is renowned for it's beach huts, palm trees and Surfside cafe on the beach. There is also a good restaurant, Langland Brasserie, at the far end which has an outside deck and is great to sit outside on a warm summers evening. If you continue on the coastal path, it'll take you about 40 mins to walk from Langland to Caswell beach where there is another cafe on the beach. If you're lucky you may see some seals on the way! Turn right out of the front door and within 10 minutes you'll be in Mumbles with a good selection of shops, cafes, bars, Oystermouth Castle, and Joes Ice Cream. The closest access to the coastal path is at Rotherslade Beach from where you can walk around the Gower Peninsula, taking in Caswell, Oxwich, Rhossili and Llangennith. If you have less time you can walk the cliff path in the opposite direction and head towards Mumbles, taking in the Lighthouse, pier and lifeboat house on the way. There is a list of restaurants, cafes and bars in your room along with plenty of maps and information on the area and suggestions of where to visit. If you fancy surfing we can recommend the Progress Surf School in LLangennith which provides all the equipment and lessons for groups and individuals. If you are staying to visit Swansea University or Singleton Hospital the walk along the prom will take about 40 mins or 10 mins in the car.
  • Caroline and Brian's place is so lovely. I felt safe and at home and the house is so beautifully and uniquely decorated. They were so hospitable and welcoming, truly lovely people. We stayed in March for only 1 night and the only negative is that we couldn't stay longer! Rotherslade beach is gorgeous and a short walk from the house, there is a direct bus into Swansea just outside of the house and you can walk easily into Mumbles - the location is perfect!! Thank you so much Caroline and Brian, we hope to be back soon!

    Lovely, light and airy room on the second floor of our Victorian town house. The accommodation provides total privacy for guests with en-suite shower room, fridge, microwave, dishes, cutlery and tea/coffee making facilities. (Drinking water from bathroom tap). The price shown is for the room with either one or two guests. Breakfast is not included but there are several breakfast cafes within 2 minutes walk plus grocery shops, restaurants and takeaways. Beach 4 minutes walk.
    Huge double bedroom with en-suite We have a very attractive, light and airy bedroom in the attic of our Victorian House in Swansea, Wales. The room has lots of character, with wooden floors and exposed beams. It is a self-contained floor. Guests enter through the front door and go straight up the stairs to the room, which gives a considerable degree of privacy, peace and comfort. The room is for one or two adults only and we have no facilities for babies or children. The room has a kingsize bed, sofa, TV, microwave, kettle, fridge and tea and coffee. There are four, inexpensive breakfast cafes within 2 minutes walk. (Sorry I don't do breakfast) There is an ensuite shower room and excellent Wifi. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Central heating. On road parking if you have a car, or public transport two minutes away if you don't. As this is a city centre location there are some parking restrictions on St. Helens Avenue. There is, however, also plenty of unrestricted parking in our street so you will not have a problem finding a space. Location We are in a great location within walking distance of all Swansea's amenities, including the University. The area is home to many students in term time. It is a young, vibrant and very safe and friendly part of Swansea but don't expect posh or swanky! It is 4 minute walk to the beautiful, sandy beach and 10 minutes to the town centre. It's a 10 minute drive or bus ride to the Gower peninsula and some of the UK's best surfing beaches. It is a 2 minute walk to bars and restaurants: where you can get everything from a full Welsh breakfast to a Chinese, Indian, French or Middle Eastern dinner. There is a really good theatre 10 minutes walk. There is a water sports centre on the beach where you can learn kite surfing and paddle boarding. We are 1 minute from Wales's best ice cream parlour - Joe's - and fish and chips and pizza take aways. We are about 15 minutes walk from Swansea Leisure Centre and the Marina and this is another area where there are plenty of cafes and bars and also the Dylan Thomas Theatre. This is also the site of the National Waterfront Museum.. There is a Boating Lake on the seafront and Crazy Golf. There are cycle paths along the seafront (National Cycle Path 43 on the seafront is a 5 minute walk) and you can hire a bike 2 minutes walk from our front door. We are also on the Wales coastal path, which now goes right around the country. There is also the lovely Singleton Park with it's ornamental gardens. We are 3 miles from the seaside resort of Mumbles - a bus ride away, but it's also possible to walk there, along the sea front. There is a bus stop just round the corner with buses to Gower peninsula, the hospital and the university.
    Young, vibrant, multi-cultural neighbourhood with lots of student accommodation, pubs, restaurants and things to do and see. There are some wonderful Asian shops selling food from all over the world. It is very safe and friendly but not what most people would call smart!

    My place is great value, spacious and well equipped - perfect for families and groups. This listing is for the entire seven bedroom property with gorgeous sea-facing balcony. The beach is at the bottom of the road (150m away) and we are on the edge of the Gower Peninsula (AONB). Mumbles Village with seaside restaurants and family-friendly activities is just 10-mins walk. You'll love our boutique bedrooms, spotless ensuites, stylish kitchen, cozy lounge, private courtyard and the sunny terrace!
    A stylish seven-bedroom Victorian home in Mumbles, Gower Peninsular, Wales, with a fantastic sun terrace. The top floor has 3-bedrooms, lounge plus a terrace whilst the first floor has 4 ensuite bedrooms, leaving the ground floor given over to a dining room, lounge and professional kitchen). It can sleep 15 adults comfortably on a mixture of double, king, single and sofabeds... with if needed an additional air bed and cots. All our furnishings are hotel-standard and top quality, and you'll find our place well-equipped, thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated. Our home was fully refurbished in 2015, with the help of Interior Designer Tamsin Leech-Griffiths (Number 8 Project). It's a beautiful, warm, comfortable house just two minutes from the sandy beaches of Rotherslade and Langland (with first-class surfing year round). Popular Mumbles Village is a 10-minute walk in the opposite direction with its seaside restaurants, independent shops and plenty of amenities (supermarkets, pharmacies, post office, etc). All the en-suite bathrooms are pristine and the four boutique bedrooms on the first floor are thoughtfully furnished to hotel standards with tea stations, flatscreen TVs and luxury bedlinen. You'll also enjoy our brilliantly equipped kitchen, cosy drawing room with open fires, flatscreen Smart TV plus velvet and leather sofas to lounge in, plus the bright dining room with plenty of seating for the whole party. The top floor has a further three bedrooms, a family bathroom and a spacious airy lounge which opens on to the large sun terrace with sea views. The sun terrace is sea-facing, with loungers. We also have plenty of children's toys and safety equipment, plus highchairs, toddler seats, potties, bathmats, etc. It's a great space for families, couples or groups. Each of the four bedrooms have either a double of king-sized beds (two of these rooms can be made up as TWIN instead - i.e. the four bedrooms can be two double beds plus four single beds). There is also a sofa bed in one of the rooms, plus we have a double air mattress and two cots which can we added . The top-floor has two double bedrooms, a kids bedroom with two single beds plus a large lounge. We don't charge for extra people :-) There is free Wifi throughout the house, and we don't charge cleaning fees. If you are flexible with dates, just message us and we can let you know which dates are available (and answer any other questions!) Guests will have access to all areas of the house, garden and terrace, as well as private parking spaces for three vehicles - plus there is plenty of unrestricted parking directly outside the house on Rotherslade Road and Langland Bay Road. Check In is 4pm and Check Out is 10am. We are flexible on this when we can be, it depends on what other booking we have that day to prepare for. You probably won't see us other than check-in and check-out, but we will be available by text, phone or email if you need us for anything. We provide a large display full of Tourist Information in our hall, along with plenty of walking maps, guidebooks and recommendations for local restaurants in Mumbles and Gower. The house is two minutes on foot from Rotherslade and Langland beaches which are great for swimming, surfing and paddle boarding in the summer and windy walks in the winter. There is access to the coast path and is a great walking spot. The fishing village of Mumbles is 10 minutes on foot in the opposite direction with a choice of bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours, plus all the amenities that you are likely to need - from pharmacies and Post Office, to supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers, etc. The Mumbles seafront is a 2km-long flat promenade with fantastic views back across Swansea Bay - great for easy walking and cycling. Our house is also a great base for exploring the Gower Peninsula and West Wales by car. There are two bus stops 400 meters from the house, at the end of the lane. Buses going up the hill serve Caswell beach; buses going down hill serve Mumbles and most continue onwards to Swansea. They are fairly frequent - not usually more than 20 minutes. To access the Gower Peninsula by bus, you need to catch a Swansea-bound service, then change to a North or South Gower service ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) depending on your final destination). If you'd like to have a go at surfing you can hire boards for about £10 locally at a number of surf places. . If you'd like to get a supermarket delivery, the address is Langland Cove Guesthouse, 4 Rotherslade Road, SA3 4QN.

  • We have booked Carwyn’s place for New Years getaway with kids and friends (15 of us all together) and we had fantastic time. Location, facilities and communication with the host was excellent. We were looking for somewhere where we can all fit and be comfortable with all the toddlers and babies and Carwyn’s place was just perfect for that. There is a beautiful beach near by and you can walk to town in 10 minutes. All in all we would highly recommend.

  • I booked the house for 2 nights for a surprise party with friends in November. The house is very spacious and comfortable and within minutes of the beach. We all wanted to stay more, it is very comfortable inside and there is plenty to explore outside. It is obvious that much attention has gone in creating a place of such high standard and with a small living area upstairs a large group of 15 can stay for longer without being on top of each other. I have contacted the host to highlight a few things that needed attention in the kitchen as it is probably the most used room in the house and was told that all will be addressed shortly. I highly recommend Langland place.

Only downside was lack of twin beds for the kids on the top floor - it just gets a bit awkward with teenagers, but we managed. Other than that, the house is great, hosts are good. They suggested Chai Deli for catering, who did a great job for us. Overall, highly recommend

    Top floor beach front apartment overlooking picturesque Limeslade Bay with uninterupted panoramic views to Swansea and Devon. On the start of the coastal path to the local beaches of Rotherslade and Langland and the spectacular Gower Peninsula. A short walk along the promenade to Mumbles with its boutique shops, art galleries and picturesque sea front restaurants. Dog friendly.
    Large panoramic bay windows open to allow you to hear the sound of sea and feel the breeze. Beach style furnishings with artwork from local artist in all rooms. New modern kitchen with breakfast bar. Flat screen wall mounted TV. Bathroom with walk in shower and heated towel rail. Bedroom with full length mirrored built in wardrobe offering plenty of hanging and storage.
    Fortes ice cream parlour is situated next door where you can mix with locals to enjoy a coffee, breakfast, lunch or an ice cream whilst sitting outside taking in the beach view. 200 yards to the left is Castelmarre Restaurant overlooking the lighthouse where you can enjoy a drink or choose from the full Italian menu including pizza from the stone ovens. The views are spectacular overlooking the lighthouse and there's plenty of outdoor seating.

  • This is an amazing apartment in a fantastic location. The flat is modern, clean and has everything you need. Ian the host was excellent and we enjoyed the welcoming treats. We spent hours just people watching from the large picture window with views of the bay. We had a brilliant day walking along the coastal path to Pennard Cliff and returning by bus. This was a perfect location and we will definitely be returning.

Close to Swansea FC & home to the Ospreys RFC Close to Afan Argoed one of the largest mountain bike tracks in the world. Near swansea city centre and ideal location for exploring the Gower beaches and mumbles. And great shopping facilities. From this location you can also explore the Brecon Beacons and Dan-Yr-Ogof caves, And just an hour's drive is Oakwood theme park, folly farm and lots more.

    The Shack - a renovated hundred year old chalet on a quiet lane close to Mumbles cricket club, 100 m away from the cliff top path that goes from Limeslade beach to Langland Bay. It is a lovely, beachy, quirky, coastal space that is perfect on the inside and work-in-progress on the outside!! A great base for Mumbles and The Gower. With a kingsize bed covered in base price we can also sleep two others - in the second bedroom -on a comfy pull-out daybed (an extra charge of £ 10 guest/night).
    The Shack is a chalet that was originally built post WW1 and , we think, extended in the 1950,s to include an indoor bathroom ( Thank Goodness!!) It has two bedrooms: Bedroom 1 houses a kingsize super-comfy bed for two guests- this is included in the base price and we can also accommodate 2 extra guests in bedroom 2- on a single day bed that converts to kingsize (at an additional charge of £10 per guest/per night....) House trained and well behaved dogs are welcome, we have a Pooch Policy available on request and we ask that dogs are booked in as an extra guest ( £10 per night). The bathroom has a walk in shower and the kitchen is fully equipped , including a dishwasher. There are no clothes washing facilities within The Shack but we live next door for emergencies!! We are hands-on hosts ( gosh, that sounds a bit sinister, doesn't it?!!) - we are never away when we are hosting so we can be around ( next door) to ensure you have everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Anything you would like to ask- please do!! *****Due to the Shack having lots of freestanding furniture we can't accommodate children 5yrs and under.
    Mumbles is a lovely place. The village itself is busy with lots of independent shops cafes and restaurants. The local beaches are lovely and Mumbles is the ideal place to use as a base for further exploration of The Gower. The Shack is on a quiet lane near Mumbles Cricket Club and 100m away, at the end of the lane, is the cliff-top path that takes you to beaches in either direction... Dogs are not allowed on some beaches between 1st May and 30th September.
  • The Shack is much better than the name would have you believe. It’s finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Helen is a wonderful host with a very warm welcome and is on hand for anything you may need. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and would love to spend more time there to follow the many suggestions Helen offered for places to eat and visit. Mark particularly enjoyed the wood-burner and accompanying marshmallows!

    Swansea (SA2) house, built in 1923. Very close to Swansea city centre, Singleton Hospital, Wales National Pool and Swansea University. A short walk away from super bars, restaurants, cafes, parks, the Dylan Thomas House and the sea front. The house is also convenient for the Bay TV Studios and the Liberty Stadium, home of Swansea City Football Club and the Ospreys. Ample parking. Sunny garden. The double room has period features including the original fireplace, door and floorboards.
    This is a lovely sunny bedroom, with a super window (and window blinds should it get too sunny!). Some original features including the fireplace. Guests come in through the front door and can then go straight upstairs to the room where you can relax in peace and comfort. Please leave your shoes in the hallway.
    Swansea is a great place to be. Uplands is even better, and still very close to the centre of Swansea. So much happens close by: lovely restaurants, parks (Singleton, Brynmill and Cwmdonkin), the Dylan Thomas House, the sea front, university, Singleton Hospital, Mumbles, the Marina at SA1 etc. Also close to great breakfast cafes - Brewstone, Uplands Diner and Crumbs.

  • If you're going to an event in Singleton Park, this place is in the perfect location. Easily walking distance. Just factor in that the walk back is all uphill! The ONLY little niggle was that the TV didn't have the WiFi enabled so we couldn't watch Netflix when we got back. Not a huge deal, a tiny point to note if you're staying in to relax. The host was excellent at replying promptly and we managed to check in a bit earlier to get to our event. Would definitely use again.

    Fantastic location, great for Swansea and gower. Self contained (own toilet, shower, fridge freezer and table top cooking facilities). There is also a washing machine which may be occasionally used by me if you're staying longer term (on request)
    Dylan Thomas grew up in this area and his house is very close. There are 3 beautiful parks in close walking distance (Singleton, Brynmill and Cwmdonkin) . I'm 10min walk from the beach, 10mins from city centre and 2min walk to the gower bus top. Great location with a wide range of restaurants, takeaways and pubs all within a 5 min walk at Uplands. Also this area is safe. In2017 the area made the top 20 of Travelsupermarkets ‘Hip hang-out’ neighbourhood index.
  • Michelle place is just what you need for short AND long-term stay. Comfy sofa and bed, fridge, small kitchen, shower and toilet. Big plus is the washing machine (Michelle use it also), so if you are staying longer, buy some washing supplies. I can really recommend it :-) Dog and cat lovers will be pleased with Milo and Bailey visits when you leave open door to the house.

    Stylish Swansea (SA2) house built in 1923 very close to the great restaurants and bars of Uplands. You will find chairs hanging on the wall outside your door.
    Guests come in through the front door and can then go straight upstairs to the room where you can relax in peace and comfort. Please leave your shoes in the hallway. This twin room has a single bed and a cabin bed (the latter requires a ladder for access.) There is a surface in the room suitable for working on - writing or using a lap top. The electric plugs all have USB ports for charging your devices.
    Swansea is a great place to be, you can walk in to the city centre from our home or catch a bus (the number 10 is very convenient). I live in Uplands which is also a great place to "be"...there are lots of interesting restaurants, bars and cafes about five minutes on foot from our home. Swansea seafront is very close by as is the Dylan Thomas House, lovely parks, regular buses pass outside the house and go straight to Mumbles and the Gower peninsula. Uplands has a great vibe and often has live music and poetry. Also lots of take aways selling food from all over the world. Uplands Market happens on the last Saturday of every month, worth a visit. Uplands is a very safe and friendly area.

    Our flat is a traditional ground floor flat just a block from the trendy centre of Uplands and backing onto Cwmdonkin Park, the haunt of Dylan Thomas. We have painted floorboards, stenciled kitchen floors, lots of rugs, original bath and lots of space! We also have gas central heating which helps keep you cosy during your stay, you can access the controls and vary it up as you wish. There is a double bed in the bedroom along with a bed settee in the living room which makes up a small double
    Our quirky flat is a large one bedroom flat with easily enough space for two couples (if one couple uses the sofa bed in the lounge). The flat has traditional painted tile and wood floor throughout with plenty of rugs, the living room has a large bay window looking out to the front of the house. If you are looking for a modern build, this is a traditional house with a lot of character. We are very close to the thriving amenities in the trendy Uplands area (without the noise!) of Swansea, which is walking distance to the city centre and offering a good base from which to explore mumbles and the Gower peninsula.
    Uplands has a lively centre which has become really popular with trendy cafes, including vegan, pubs, small clubs and music venues and is also the home of the Upands Diner! If you can eat the Beast you can have it for free!!!! Glanmor Crescent is a stones throw from all this activity but we are in a quiet location so a good nights sleep should be had by all! Cwmdonkin Park is located just a street from the flat where you can find tennis courts and lots of lovely flowers and greenery. Dylan Thomas, the Welsh poet, used to live around the corner, you can visit his house and have a cream tea in his living room! If you are lucky enough to stay when the Uplands Market is in full swing we would recommend a visit as they sell lots of Welsh produce including jams, chutneys, Welsh Cakes, blankets and much more! Great for the little souvenirs to take home!

It was the ideal base for us visiting my sister at uni, we walked in to town and to The Mumbles. Both beds (in bedroom and sofa bed) were comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Shower pressure and temperature in bathroom was good. We were unable to work out how to turn on the heating (which was totally down to us!) and required additional bedding, but Paul was immediately on the phone to help resolve our issues, and was round asap to sort this out. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

    Stylish Bright and Airy Ground Floor 1 bedroom apartment in the Bustling area of Uplands, Swansea. A superb location just 200 yards from the main road with its popular Restaurants, Cafes, Trendy Bars, shops and supermarkets. Everything you need on your doorstep. The House is setback off the road with beautiful sloped gardens and is very quiet. There is free on road parking but no private parking. There are frequent busses from uplands with ideal travel links.
    The apartment is all on one level and is accessed from the road up some steps. On entering the house there is a communal hallway which leads to two apartments. I live upstairs with a separate front door. When inside to the right is a very spacious light and airy front room. There is a large L shaped sofa and 50” Television with Virgin tv and WiFi. There is also the added extra of Netflix and Sky Movies...Next to this is the bedroom with a Double bed,2 wardrobes 2 large chest of draws and side tables with lamps. There is a hallway that leads to the middle room with a dining table to seat 4 people. There is a sofa bed should you need extra space. The Kitchen and bathroom are both accessed through this room so it is not a private space if anyone chooses to sleep in it. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer/Kettle/Toaster/Microwave/ Oven and hob. All other kitchen utensils crockery and cutlery you need for cooking. The Bathroom is at the back of the property and has a bath with overhead shower a sink and toilet. There is a washing machine available upon request and for people on long stays. All rooms are decorated in stylish and neutral colours with laminate or tiled floors throughout.
    Uplands is only a short walk away from Singleton park which hosts many major events throughout the year and also has a beautiful botanical garden. Aside this is Brynmill park which has a playground and a large pond with many birds and swans. Both parks lead to Swansea university and Singleton hospital. Swansea beach and the city centre are both easily accessible to walk cycle or drive. The Liberty stadium is about 20 minutes away. The Uplands was home to famous poet Dylan Thomas and I am situated 5 minutes away from his former home and cwmdonkin park where he spent his youth. Uplands is the gateway to the Gower peninsula the first designated area of outstanding natural beauty in the country. The Gower is surrounded by beautiful green flag beaches and Rhossili Bay was voted one of the top ten beaches. The picturesque village of mumbles Is a short drive or cycle away with its new waterfront development Oyster Wharf and is home to the Famous Mumbles Pier. There is a market held in uplands once a month with people selling local produce crafts and the like.     Static caravan located in large private wildlife garden in a rural part of Swansea. Great base to explore the Gower Peninsula (30 mins to Llangennith Beach) and close enough to the city centre for business visitors (10 minute drive). Caravan is 30m from the house and accessed via a path from off road parking space. I will leave you in peace but will be available to help whenever needed. Including info on beaches, waterfalls, walking, surfing, mountain biking, climbing, wild swimming, eating out.
    Located only 10 minutes from the M4 and 10 minutes to the centre of Swansea in a unique rural area. Here you get the best of both worlds, easy access to the Gower Peninsula Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, whilst close to the city, shops, pubs and other amenities. 5 minutes walk to local shop, or 5 minute drive to a Tesco Extra. My garden is a beautiful wild space with large oaks trees, a pond, a stream, wild birds, wild flowers, beehives and chickens. I am also next to a Local Nature Reserve which offers a beautiful walk in an oak woodland. Smart TV - including Netflix DAB radio Secure bike storage
    Waunarlwydd is on the edge of the Gower Peninsula. The area in which I live is a unique rural valley with farms, wild spaces and a local nature reserve. Only 30 minutes drive to Llangennith, and easy to access to motorway if you wanted to explore the Brecon Beacons or Pembrokeshire National Park.

Despite this the caravan was located in a good position to explore this beautiful area and was comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Access was easy and parking off the narrow road. Cooking facilities totally adequate. Good internet access. Convenient for supermarkets and other shops. The weather was chilly, windy and torrential rain showers but we can imagine it would be good to sit on the decking enjoying the birds and chickens activities. Ollie was friendly and on hand for advice. It is extremely good value for the money and we certainly recommend.

The private loo is within your room behind doors concealing it and beneath a low beam, please note. There are two other loos in the house that you can use on a respectful basis. Please enjoy our lovely sitting room and small south-facing garden at the front. Occasional use of the kitchen is possible by prior arrangement.
    Its an attractive Victorian house in a colourful street. You have the top floor to your selves. The rear garden isn't shared (except when joining us, for example, for your welcome cuppa!!), or, unless required for an event that you'd like to arrange or if you'd like to harvest any fruit for yourselves to eat. Please enjoy the shared living room which provides access to the front garden overlooking the street (it has a sliver of a sea view... your front attic is the place to enjoy the view) and you can use this modest garden space exclusively if you would like to sit outside on your own - or to be joined by our lovely cats. If you have an allergy to cats this is absolutely no problem as we can prevent their access to any and all areas you would be using. This has operated successfully in the past. We are also a gluten-free household. We welcome vegans and vegetarians too.

The rooms are freshly decorated and have new comfy mattresses. We welcome solo travellers, business persons, couples or even a family looking for a friendly and welcoming base. The rooms are next to each other so suitable for a family group for a holiday as you will have your own two double bedrooms, private bathroom and separate wc for your own private use. Uplands houses a nice vegetarian/vegan cafe, a breakfast Diner for the hearty appetite and a Costa. There is plenty of choice for evening dining ranging from a chippie and pizzeria to stylish small restaurants and a brilliant noodle bar. 10 minute easy walk to the City Centre and Bus Station.

The shower was incredible too! I would 100% recommend to anybody looking for a BnB as it doesn’t get much better than this for this price.     Our flat is on the first floor of a terraced house just a stones throw away from the Uplands. Glamour Rd in Uplands is now a trendy residential area close to all the Uplands has to offer, the City centre, the Beach & Parks, The Gower and The Mumbles are all easily accessed Our flat has is just a short walk away from pubs, small clubs, music venues, cafes whilst having a quiet area to sleep at night The heating is all electric so you can switch it on or off as you wish!
    You will be on the first floor of the house, there are stairs up from the ground floor leading you into the kitchen at the rear of the house with a washing machine, electric cooker and fridge freezer.. The bathroom has a shower along with shower gel and shampoo. has a spacious lounge with two sofas and includes a four seat dining table and chairs, a double bedroom which is made up with fresh sheets and of course a hot water bottle for those with cold feet!
    The Uplands is a very popular residential zone which has become quite trendy over the last few years as it is also very close to the City centre. There are lots of local cafes including vegetarian and vegan, pubs, music venues and also supermarkets etc. There is also a Saturday morning market every month selling typical Welsh produce including jams, Welsh cakes and local paintings. We also recommend going to the historical indoor Swansea Market for a taste of Cockles, locally caught and Welsh cakes and a lovely roast dinner! Swansea Castle ruins are also in the City Centre just at the top of Wind Street with all the night life and clubs you could wish for!

    This is a wonderful Home from Home. Stylish and cosy, great location, being close to the centre of Swansea, the Marina and beach. The apartment is on the 12th floor giving amazing views from the lounge. Don't worry though there are 2 lifts/elevators!
    If you're staying on a budget, the kitchen is fully equiped with everything required for home cooking. If you're on holiday and have no intention of cooking, there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways in Swansea. There is a restaurant opposite the entrance and one on the top floor of the tower with amazing panoramic views! The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed, with full length glass-door wardrobe and chest of drawers. The spacious lounge has comfortable sofas (including a double sofa-bed), flat-screen TV with Sky, Freeview and Netflix, and a dining area. The fully equipped kitchen has an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, washing-machine and is well stocked with cooking essentials. The Bathroom has a bath with shower over-the-bath. The apartment is convenient for the City Centre, Grand Theatre, University campuses, Swansea College of Art, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Singleton Hospital, Liberty Stadium, marina and beaches. The local restaurants include the Grape & Olive with panoramic views, the Pescador and many others in the Marina. The City Centre is a 10-minute walk. There you will find more restaurants and extensive shopping facilities. We would love to host you and hope to see you soon!!
    The apartment is nicely situated between the Marina (outside the tower) and the beach (one minute away). In the marina there are plenty of restaurants and bars. On the top-floor of the tower there is the Grape & Olive restaurant with panoramic views! It is around a 10-minute walk into the City Centre where you will find plenty of the shops and more restaurants and bars and of course Swansea market.

    The pet friendly ‘Chalet at Cow Corner’ is an eclectic, book lovers retreat. Small, but perfectly formed, this 2 bedroomed chalet bungalow is tucked between Limeslade Bay and the Mumbles Cricket Club with easy access to the Gower Peninsula and a minutes walk to the world renowned Wales Coastal Path. Ideal for those wishing to be near the village of Mumbles and the beautiful bays of Langland and Caswell, this bungalow comes equipped with everything you might need for a perfect getaway.
    The chalet consists of entrance porch, with toys and puzzles, the perfect place to dry your wet weather gear and discard your walking boots. The porch is also where you will also find a cold bag, freezer packs, thermos flask, plastic food containers, beach shelters, picnic rugs, umbrellas, walking sticks, hot water bottles, dog bowl, shopping bags and other beach paraphernalia. Basically, if you can't find it, it's probably in the porch! Please remove excessively muddy boots before entering the cosy sitting room with television, DVD player, CDs, books and maps. Designed for sprawling and relaxing, there is also a Nintendo Wii console with various games for the family to enjoy. I’m told that it may be of interest to point out that we have now upgraded to a SMART TV. The fully equipped galley kitchen is situated between the sitting and dining areas - well placed so that the cook is never excluded from whatever is going on in either area. There is a washing machine, slimline dish washer, full sized cooker, with ceramic hob and fridge freezer, not to mention a slow cooker and all the various pots and pans you may need. The double bedroom although small, contains a full size double bed and a generous amount of storage space, you will also find additional blankets in the upper cupboards should they be needed. The bunk room has a toy chest with more books and toys for rainy days, there may also be some dressing up stuff, depending on what's been left by visiting grandchildren. The bathroom consists of WC and full sized shower. The combi boiler provides instant hot water and the central heating is linked to the thermostat in the sitting room. Outside patio with table, chairs and sun umbrella are also available for your exclusive use. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Iceland and Waitrose all deliver (admittedly I have never actually used Waitrose, but I’ve seen the vans 😊)
    There are no cows at the Pet Friendly ‘Chalet at Cow Corner’ the name is derived from its position relative to the local cricket ground. This is a quiet cul de sac with a mixture of residential and holiday homes. The Mumbles Cricket Club (MCC) hosts many social events throughout the Cricket Season, and visitors are always welcome to make use of the facilities. The nearby Village of Mumbles is well within walking distance with its many pubs, restaurants and boutique shops, although some guests might prefer to take the more scenic route back via the bays of Bracelet and Limeslade in order to avoid the steep ‘short cut’ back home. The Gower Peninsula is a short drive away, in fact the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty starts right opposite the front door of the Chalet at the boundary of the field across the road and when the breeze is lively you can hear the Mixen Bell clanging it’s warning from the Mixen Sands off the Cherrystones Reef out in the Bay. At the top of the cul de sac you reach the cliff top path, this is a perfect spot to sit and watch the seals at low tide, the memorial benches are there for all to enjoy. From here turn right for the famous surfing beach of Langland and the lesser known Rotherslade and Crab Reef, or left for Limeslade, Bracelet and the Mumbles Pier and Lifeboat Station. The Gower Peninsula is now a ‘Dark Skies’ destination and as there is no street lighting here, it’s the perfect place from which to view the constellations - better still, on starry nights, take yourself up onto the cliff with a drink of your choice and gaze out across the bay. Watch out for badgers though!
  • Comfortable and well equipped, Vivienne’s place was great for our short stay. Ideally situated close to the cliff path it is a perfect setting off point for walks along the coast and trips into Mumbles.

  • This place is a true little gem! Tucked away in a fantastic location on one of the most stunning coastlines in Wales. Sparkling clean, super warm and welcoming and some lovely finishing and thoughtful touches and so very well equipped. This truly felt like a home from home for my family and I. Thanks, Vivienne. We will be back to make more magical memories in The Mumbles ❤️

  • Vivienne was a perfect host, lots of helpful advice and tips, plus excellent recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The chalet had everything we needed and more, loved the book collection, didn't enjoy the GCHQ puzzle book but only because I was rubbish and struggled to do even the easy puzzles, even with the clues :) The chalet is at the top of a hill, not a problem for us as this was a walking holiday and we had a drink at Castellamare before heading up to the chalet. We found the locals super friendly, helpful and love a chat, which I enjoyed.
