Places to stay in Truro
Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know. We don't charge a cleaning fee either. So come and share our view with us. We guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please also see our other Airbnb listing for four people: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19563456. This apartment is located on the opposite side of Bay Court's main hallway
We have travelled fairly extensively over the years and we both think that the beach here at Perranporth has got to be one of the very best beaches in the world. Come and experience it for yourself.
  • Our stays at Beth's apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. The apartment was clean and tidy. Beth was welcoming and on the phone if needed. Will definitely return one day.

    Alice2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the deck are spectacular. Even in wintery blustery weather it was a stunning place to be. Everything we needed had been thought of. It was great.

    Natalie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time. Beth had thought of everything we needed and more.

  • We stayed at Beth's place for one night for my boyfriends birthday, on arrival their were thoughtful touches of confetti and napkins saying happy birthday and even a card. The apartment was very clean and homely it felt like we had been there forever! Lovely area and lovely hosts, we plan to go back in the future probably in the summer for a few days as it was so nice this time.

    Jemma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy communication, thoughtful touches such as flowers, birthday confetti and biscuits to enjoy. Well stocked cupboards, ideal for self catering. Within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and beach. Perhaps the best feature is the view. Endless hours could be lost gazing out to sea.

    Samantha2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location. Really nice place with lots of lovely touches. The host was extremely kind and helpful.

Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.
  • A fantastic Airbnb space. Really well thought through layout which is very practical and clean. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Rory is a great host. He was easy to communicate with before we arrived and had provided some nice personal touches to the space. There are sea views from the lounge down the side of the main house and we wrapped up warm to enjoy local Rattler Cyder on the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, beach and town. We visited Perranporth when it was stormy with sunny spells and still found plenty to do locally! A really lovely place to visit.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little flat in perfect surroundings. The perfect get away. Rory was super helpful with tips and made us feel at home. We will 100% be back again. Thanks again!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, only a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful space with everything you need for a get away. The shower is ten out of ten! Rory and Sarah both very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

    Dominic2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very well equipped, elegantly designed comfortable modern flat. Immaculately presented with many additional features such, streaming TV (Netflix, iPlayer etc) Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional shower, high tech insulation & ventilation that keeps one cosy in winter. (we stayed in Feb 2020 during storm Dennis!) and pleasant in summer. Beautiful view from the shared balcony a short walk outside from the flat entrance door down the side of the house & up some stairs. We were sad to leave.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can not fault Rory’s place, it’s beautiful, clean, open, and comfortable! Great value for price, and Rory was so lovely and helpful to us! Location was great too, with amazing views.

    Megan2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cool and clean, and the area was much better than we expected with plenty to do. The pub tips were brilliant and we enjoyed the food. When the storm hit we had an amazing night in with plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back!

    Mike2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little apartment which had everything we required! Rory was very helpful and he gave us some nice tips about where to go for food and some nice walks! Check in was super easy, and we really enjoyed our stay! We will be coming back!!!

  • Thank you so much for the pleasent stay. Your house is amazing and we really enjoyed the apartment. Also amazing is the nice view from the roof and the 5 minutes distance to the beach. The apartment has everything you need and is very clean. Especially the comfortable shower gives you an amazing feeling after a walk in the windy beachside. Thanks again. Will come back

This stunning, three double-bedroom Finnish Lodge, nestles into the side of Carn Marth Hill, a World Heritage Site. From the huge triple glazed Cathedral windows there are far reaching views across the rural landscape of mid-Cornwall. Enjoy relaxing by the pool during the day and soaking in the hot tub by night!
The living room is flooded with light from the double height windows as is the mezzanine double bedroom. The wood burning stove creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings or for winter visits. You will enjoy the hot tub looking out over the rural landscape. The property is well equipped for 6 people to enjoy a very comfortable stay.
We live on the side of Carn Marth Hill and you can walk directly from the house to the top of the hill where you will find a lovely little quarry lake where locals fish and occasionally swim. From here you can see both North and South coasts the walk on to explore more of the many footpaths and bridleways.
  • The Lodge is beaufitul, clean and has great views. The huge window fills the space with natural light and keeps it surprisingly warm! Caroline is very welcoming, we'd have felt very comfortable asking for help at any point if we'd needed it.

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to get away for a while. Caroline was lovely in assisting us from booking to checking out. I would certainly recommend this place and hopefully one day return for another stay.

    Muhammad2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s place felt really special, we arrived a little early due to the rain and Caroline accommodated this with no notice. The alpacas made the place really unique, lovely that they are in the field next door to the property. And the hot tub was a big hit with everyone. And let’s not forget scones fresh from the oven with jam and lashings of clotted cream. Really convenient to get to lots of places as well. We stayed with our friends who have two little girls and an infant and there was plenty of room, two bathrooms definitely helps! I should also mention the property was cosier than I thought it would be even without the fire on. Great for a wet February half term!

    Gillian2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline’s house was lovely and we felt very welcome. From the cream tea with homemade scones on arrival to the luxurious hot tub to the cute and funny alpacas in the back garden, we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

    Elspeth2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely lodge. Super hot tub. Lovely cream tea and the most comfy beds. A super place to stay.

    Deborah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful lodge set in a picturesque location. Caroline is a wonderful host, answering questions extremely promptly pre-arrival , then offering her assistance on arrival with her knowledge of the local area. The lodge is extremely well appointed & the hot tub is toasty toasty! Highly recommended!

    Emma2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nicely located, tucked out of the way about so nice and peaceful but close enough to East South and West coasts. Didn't explore too much as weather was being very British but what we did see were some nice walks and welcoming pubs. Cosy to stay in thanks to the log burner too. A really nice way to escape for a days.

    Alex2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • From arrival to departure a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Amazing cream tea supplied by the host enjoyed by the log burner whilst watching the llamas!

  • Great cottage, renovated really well. Lovely village and pub. The host was great and we saw him on arrival. The hot tub is a lovely touch. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Harry2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this quaint cottage with our two young children. We stayed during the winter and it was very cosy and warm. We didn’t make use of the hot tub but hope to return soon without our children where we will. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. There is a local pub and corner shop but also a Morrison’s not too far away either. We would recommend this beautiful cottage for a little get away!

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

Padstow, with its fine selection of restaurants influenced by Rick Stein is just over 20 miles, these include Nathan Outlaws Enodoc Hotel in Rock and Paul Ainsworths No 6 in Padstow, both of which have been awarded a Michelin Star. The yachting centres of Mylor, Falmouth & St Mawes are all within easy reach of the cottage. There is a watersports centre at nearby Loe Beach where you can hire kayaks, paddle boards and motorboats or brush up on your sailing skills with some lessons. The nearby Roseland Area of Outstanding Beauty with its superb coastal walks is also a short drive away via the King Harry Ferry.
  • Exceptional! Despite having pretty awful weather, we had a lovely week here. Heron's Catch is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. With wonderful views over the Truro River, the house is in a lovely Village setting, but still close enough to Truro Town for shopping and onward travel to explore Cornwall.

    Paul2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • House with amazing view and very cozy! Pretty sure to come back once! Great communication with Sarah.

    Silvia2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Heron’s Catch is a little gem in a beautiful location. We had a lovely stay. The house is very well presented and has been beautifully converted to provide a light and airy space with fantastic and beautiful views. If only we could have made the most of the garden. Perhaps a bit difficult in October! Even when it was pouring outside we had a cosy stay simply enjoying watching the changing river. Thoroughly recommended. Thanks again.

    Owen2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyable break. House had great view from lounge and deck and is very well furnished and kitted out. The pub was very handy and the ferry a good way to get around for walks. Many thanks

  • Everything was fantastic, and as described in the listing. Sarah made sure all needs were catered for, including the thoughtful dog friendly touches. The cottage was immaculate and ideally situated. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials, and the views were spectacular. There were binoculars for us to gaze across the river at herons nesting. It was nice to have such a great pub practically on our door step, and there were some lovely walks just outside as well. All in all, we couldn't ask for anything more idyllic. Thank you for everything

  • This is ideal accommodation in a great location for exploring both North and South Cornwall. All the household amenities you would require were provided which made for a relaxing holiday. Would thoroughly recommend for a holiday break.

Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.
  • Lovely modern apartment, located by ferry pier with views over estuary. Convenient for town/shops, National Maritime Museum, Pendennis castle, St Mawes castle (by ferry). Secure parking a bonus.

  • Don’t be put off by having to access this place via a very basic staircase; the flat itself is a delight. It is clean, modern, spacious, and contains everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is an excellent view over the pier, and the central location means that all amenities of the town are on the doorstep. Whilst the location also means that it can get quite noisy, particularly at closing time - keep the front window fully closed, and the noise isn’t a problem. Steve gives clear and comprehensive instructions for access to the car park and the flat, and has provided many thoughtful touches to help to make an enjoyable stay. We hope to return soon.

  • A great location in the heart of Falmouth. We could see the sea from the sofa - we hadn't expected that. The host did everything he could to make us comfortable. We really enjoyed our short stay.

  • Fabulous flat in a great location. Steve is very communicative and there are some really thoughtful touches in the apartment. I would definitely look to use it again for future visits to my daughter whilst she’s at uni there.

  • Really great place, location and views and comfy sofa! Thanks for the ear buds too it was a bit noisy Saturday night but we wouldn’t have swapped staying as close to town as we were! Honestly the location really made our trip and the secure parking was great! We walked through town each evening and we didn’t have to drive anywhere! The recommendation for the pub for Sunday carvery was excellent! In fact one of the best parts of our trip! Milk, butter and coffee was a really nice touch and made it perfect for when we arrived ! Even though weather was bad all weekend there was a window of sunshine this morning and we had the perfect breakfast on the deck with that view ! TV was spot on especially having sky plus and PS 3, so we could watch Netflix!

    Lisa2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was an amazing base to explore not only Falmouth but also Cornwall. It was the perfect place to warm up after a blustery day out and also to enjoy quiet evenings in. The location is perfect, with easy access to a whole host of places to eat and drink, and the flat itself was well equipped and extremely comfortable! Steve was an excellent host - the best we have ever had staying in an Airbnb and sorted out any queries we had quickly! We could not recommend this place more!

7 minutes walking distance from the city centre, close to restaurants, theatre, cinema, public transport and able to accommodate 1 to 2 guests with a king bed, Glyngarth Studio offers great accommodation for couples, working commuters, or those looking for a relaxing Cornish getaway. Truro is a great point from where to explore Cornwall being fairly close to the beach and lovely walks. Also extremely convenient if you are here to work. A real home from home.
Glyngarth Studio offers a great space, super fast Wi Fi, spacious shower, washing machine, iron, ironing board, a kitchen well stocked with kitchen utensils, mini oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, and two ceramic hobs, extractor hood etc. A dining table, Sofa, TV, King size bed, with an excellent coil, memory foam and gel mattress and a wardrobe. Outside patio with outdoor furniture. Parking is also available within the property. Please feel free to message for more information. Please be aware that although you have a separate entrance the Studio forms part of the main house and there is a first floor above. Although it’s not normally noisy as the floor has sound proofing you might be able to hear some footsteps from time to time and also outside in the patio which is a shared area.
Glyngarth Studio is located in the more residential part of Truro, although remarkably close to the city centre. It is very quiet, but walking distance to the hustle and bustle if that is what you are looking for.

Helpful hints and tips sheet, we took up the recommendation of the nearby very popular gastro- pub and had a very good meal there (they catered for GF as well which was helpful). • A really lovely warm and spacious room with private en-suite shower room. The bed was really clean and comfortable. Cathie and John were really friendly and the house is in a great private location but close to everything and I was travelling with no car. I would definitely recommend staying here over other places. You won’t be disappointed :)

    Natasha2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely big comfortable room with a balcony and a private en suite bathroom in a friendly home. Cathie and John were lovely, very friendly and helpful. They gave me tips on the best walking routes to town, to the shops, to the pub and to the hospital (just a ten minutes walk away). They let me use their washing machine, and I was able to park safely off road in their drive. This home is shared by a big soppy dog called Sam, I'm not a dog person but Sam seemed to understand that and he behaved very well around me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cathie and John's stay. Thanks for having me 🙂

  • Great location, only 15 minutes drive to the Truro park and ride which only cost £1 each on Saturdays which made a great trip out. Good local places for food however If you are looking for a quite night in the kitchen is very well equipped and modern. I liked that the tap doubles up as filtered water. Abi was very welcoming and the response time with the hosts was very prompt and helped lots with recommendations of what to do. Good private parking on driveway and very private location. Also liked the private path to our chalet. Hope to Come again sometime and all the best with the future.

Perfectly located for Truro (Treliske) hospital or visiting Truro and the locality for work and pleasure, this shared guest accommodation is incredibly convenient for all main transport routes across the county and beyond. Whether your stay is for a stint working at the hospital or to discover the delights of Cornwall, it's the perfect spot. The house is a modern, warm, light space, which has been thoughtfully decorated and equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In a quiet, pretty estate with easy on-street parking, it offers independent check-in, a shared, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of bathroom facilities and South-West facing sheltered outdoor space. You are minutes from lots of amenities, but you can also access the stunning Cornish countryside from your doorstep.
This warm, modern house is situated in a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Truro. We have redecorated the house to create a calm, peaceful and well-designed space that will provide you with everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. As the house is reasonably new it benefits from being well-proportioned, with working, new windows and well-insulated rooms. The house has 5 guest rooms with plenty of communal space so guests can move about independently without queuing for facilities, or can enjoy each other’s company as desired. All rooms have individual door locks. Your room: Situated on the 1st floor, up one flight of stairs, is room 5. We have thought hard to make this very small room a comfortable and pleasant space that is ideal for a good value, short stay. The room has a very comfortable, full sized single storage bed with a memory foam mattress, plus an open wardrobe with storage drawer, a bedside shelf and a lamp. The room is at the front of the house, with a North Westerly facing window so you can enjoy the beautiful morning sunshine and views across the quiet and pretty cul-de-sac. Communal areas: The whole of the lower ground floor is available for all guests to enjoy communally. The area is down one flight of stairs from the street level entrance but as this property is built on a hill, the space has access to the garden terrace through two sets of South-west facing French doors. As cooking is close to our hearts we have thought hard to well-equip the spacious kitchen with a microwave, utensils, cookware, crockery, hob, oven, fridge / freezer. There are plenty of cupboards and each guest is allocated their own storage space. For your convenience you will also find a washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a dining table to eat your home-cooked food and then a light, airy lounge with a comfortable leather sofa, rattan chair and T.V. to relax in afterwards. On Summer evenings you can enjoy a glass of wine on the sheltered, sunny, terrace, or on colder evenings you can curl up cosy with the cushions and throws to watch television. The house is serviced twice a week but we also provide cleaning products and materials. Bedding and towels are provided, but guests will need to provide their own food. The are 3 bathrooms on the property: One ensuite (for Room 3), a cloakroom in the communal area, and a shared family-sized bathroom on the ground floor, which has a shower over bath, basin with storage, and WC. With 3 bathrooms for 5 guests, queues are never a problem. The whole property benefits from super-fast broadband.
The house is superbly located in Treliske; a peaceful and attractive residential area to the North-West of Truro that is home to the county’s main hospital. The house is near to all main transport links for the locality, county and for further beyond and is situated near an impressive array of amenities. In the immediate vicinity is a local convenience store, Sainsburys, a trade park with several large chains including costa and Macdonalds, a leisure centre, a tennis club and golf club. What’s more, if you walk West for 2 minutes you are straight into the peace of the Cornish countryside. Truro city offers a renowned range of highly-rated independent restaurants, shops and bars, plus all the usual high street favourites. You can’t fail to be impressed by the stunning cathedral, or to enjoy the quirky Lemon St market. Slightly further afield is the beautiful village of Malpas, with The Heron (a local’s favourite pub) and exquisite walks along the river. If it’s the coast you are craving, you’re in luck! A 15 minute drive north will take you to a truly stunning trio of beaches: Perranporth, which has the UK’s only pub on a beach, Porthtowan with its expanse of deserted golden sand, and Trevaunance Cove on the shores of St Agnes, a quirky Cornish town where you will find surf schools, cafes, pubs selling local ales, and boutique after boutique stocked with local jewellery, art, baked goods and culinary delicacies. Each of these gorgeous beaches give access to miles and miles of stunning coastal walks.

My home is 5 minutes walk from Truro railway station. It will take just 10-15 minutes to walk to the city centre to enjoy shopping or the nightlife in the many traditional Cornish pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The house is also very close to hospital and County Council so ideal if you need to come to work. My home is drenched in light and the neighbourhood is very quiet. My place is good for solo adventurers, couples and business. I live mostly in the annexe with my elderly cat Dora.
I have two rooms for rental but this listing is for the back double bedroom, with a comfortable bed, wardrobe and desk space. You will get another clean towel and bedding if you stay longer than a week. I like to offer continental breakfast (I would hate to send you off hungry!) and being vegetarian, I stock up on things such as soya milk, nuts, etc., so please request that if you prefer before arrival. Breakfast will be set-up for you in the dinning room early in the morning. If you do not want breakfast please let me know, but please do not expect a discount as breakfast is listed as a courtesy!
The neighbourhood is very quiet and safe and one of the few areas in Truro without parking permit. You should be able to park on the road outside my house but parking is on a come first served first basis. Please notice that I have no control over who parks in front of my house and you may have to park further away. Last but not least- the road can only accommodate cars and not caravans or motorhomes.
  • Thais was very welcoming and helpful, the accommodation is handy for the station and the city. I only stayed for 1 night but had a great stay. Thank you Thais!

Highly recommended for anyone wishing to visit Truro or explore Cornwall.

Room and bathroom were clean at all times and the bed is very comfortable. A Spar supermarket is right around the corner and the bus station is close by as well. Overall, I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more!

My home is a modern town house in a quiet cul de sac within easy walking distance to public transport, the city centre, shops, restaurants and nightlife. Its also only a short drive to both the north and south Cornish coasts. The cathedral city of Truro is a great place to base yourself for exploring beautiful Cornwall and is also a super place to explore with its cobbled streets and lovely selection of shops and restaurants. As a vegetarian myself, I serve non meat healthy breakfasts.
My house is within a 10 minute easy walk to the city centre with its lovely shops, bars, museum and river trips and easy access to the beautiful south and north Cornish coasts. • We have stayed in several BnBs in Truro over the past few years but this is far and away the best one. Cass goes out of her way to make you feel welcome; from the initial correspondence to the delicious cream tea waiting in the fridge! The space is clean and has everything you could possibly want and need (Netflix, hair straighteners, tea and coffee) and having a kitchen made all the difference to my wallet! I have already told everyone I know to stay here. You won't be disappointed.

    Olivia2020-03-12T00:00:00Z

A very light space during the day and a cosy retreat at night. It is a 5 minute walk to the city centre with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking . We will leave everything you will need to have an easy and enjoyable stay.
We wanted to create a space where people feel like they are on holiday but with all the home comforts. We hope we have achieved that. There is a sofa bed which would be comfortable for 1 adult or an child .
It is a very friendly ,peaceful neighbourhood.

  • Thank you, Annabel for being a super host! Obviously, we loved The Lodge because we extended our stay. Communication was easy from check-in to check-out. The Lodge offers great amenities, a convenient location, and a quiet and safe neighborhood. Highly recommended for people visiting Truro and would like to be near the city centre. We're hoping to come back again!

The beautiful cathedral city of Truro is located in mid Cornwall, and is ideally placed for exploring the county. Our property attracts both guests that are here to work and those on holiday. Our home offers a quiet, spacious and relaxing environment. Royal Cornwall Hospital, and bus stop are a 10 minute walk, and Truro College a 5 minute walk. Please disregard Google maps walking times as there is a shortcut. Both North and South Coasts are within 10 - 30 minute drive away.
The bedroom is a spacious double room with a TV. The view overlooks the surrounding countryside. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and is for the guest /guests own personal use. Not shared with anyone else.
    Quiet residential area.

In accordance with government recommendations due to Covid-19 i regret that i am currently unable to accept bookings and have blocked both of my rooms until early June. I will keep up to date with the current situation and dates may be unlocked or blocked further if necessary. I look forward to hopefully being able to welcome guests back to my home later this year.
The room has tea and Coffee making facilities, towels (for use in the room), a hairdryer and televison. There is also a desk/workspace and a clothes hanging rail plus drawer space. There is an ironing board and iron which are kept on the landing for use of guests in both rooms. Each morning guests can help themselves to a breakfast consisting of cereals or porridge, toast and fruit juice. Everything you need for your breakfast is either in the fridge (which is in the hallway) or cereals are kept in the drawers and cupboard under the fridge along with plates and cutlery. Guests can use the fridge for their own food but please note that it is only a mini fridge and is primarily to keep milk and breakfast items. It is also shared with other guests so please be aware that space is somewhat limited. There is a further kettle and a toaster next to the fridge and in the conservatory is a microwave which guests can use either for porridge at breakfast or to heat a microwave meal during the evening. I do ask however that guests consume any hot food in the conservatory, although with breakfast I am happy if guests prefer to take this back to their rooms.
I am on the outskirts of Truro in a quiet cul de sac. I am a short walk to Treliske Hospital and there is also a local convenience store about 5 minutes walk away. New County Hall is about 20 minutes to walk. There is a lovely park with gym equipment and childrens play area around the corner and a short walk will take you into the countryside and I am also close to the main bus route. Although my home is ideally located for those working or visiting the hospital. it is also very centrally located for those visiting Cornwall for a holiday. There are various beaches all less than 30 minutes drive from the property and Cornwall has many tourist attractions all within convenient driving distance from my home. Closer by, Truro has a beautiful cathedral and you can take boat trips from Truro to Falmouth and St Mawes (please see photos in my listing). I have lived in Cornwall all of my life and I am happy to advise guests are places to visit and things to do.

My place is close to public transport, nightlife, the city centre, and family-friendly activities. The maisonette is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids) and now has brand new WFI installed! 1-8-17.
Very close to Truro city center. A level walk into the city. Beautiful aspects to the back of the property(Victoria park). Accommodation is on two levels Bathroom, kitchen on the first floor, bedroom upstairs. Lots of space, high ceilings.
City center, very close to pubs restaurants and shopping. Eleven miles from the sea. St Georges road is a good location with good access
  • Pleasant maisonettes in a location near station and easy walk into town.

    Allan2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Maisonette is a top floor loft in a charming 3 story building - his place is on 2 floors. There's a gorgeous kitchen, big bathroom, big bathtub, lots of light, perfectly clean and stylish. I really loved it! Frank was great from the get go - very friendly and clear with the check in, how the place works etc. It's a short walk down a hill from the train station if arriving that way or venturing out to Penzance, or Falmouth, or St Ives - the trains are frequent and cheap and under 10 min walk - so I explored all over Cornwall while here. If your luggage is heavy as mine was - you may still want to taxi from the train station. You can walk into Truro in 5 minutes and there's everything there. It's a beautiful city, and there's lots of places open - pubs, restaurants, shopping ( I found a wonderful fabric store if anyone else is into that) Lots of variety of things to see and eat. There is a wonderful little Coffee shop across the road where I had my morning latte and sandwich. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet Frank in person :)

    Catharine2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Francis was a wonderful host with an awesome stylish property with on street parking (which is an added bonus in the heart of Truro). I highly recommend his wo

    Stacey2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, great location near a lovely park and a short walk to the many independent shops, good restaurants, galleries and museums etc. Clean and comfy. Frank was helpful and responded quickly to requests. Parking tricky but doable.

  • This was a spotlessly clean, very stylish and wonderfully comfortable little annexe in a quiet residential part of the City. An easy walk to amenities, it was a perfect place to stay whilst I was working in the area. I've stayed at lots of similar places all around the country for work, and I can definitely say that this is one of the best I've stayed in. Some lovely touches (fresh milk and teabags waiting for me!) were simple, but welcome (and often aren't provided at other AirBnBs). Highly recommended.
