Places to stay in Texas
Book a couple of nights with us and experience glamping in the Texas hill country! With a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, basic kitchen, queen bed, wifi, TV, small library of western movies, and 10 beautiful creekside acres, this trailer is a hit no matter what the season or the weather. Our retro Airstream has been featured in many Texas travel lists and magazine articles (Southern Living, Apt Therapy, Dallas Morning News, The Sun (UK), Outside Magazine and more). Come stay a spell...
Do you ever daydream about jumping in a travel trailer and heading west? Are you enamored with the vintage style of a bygone era? Do you enjoy camping, but secretly wish you had a real bed, wifi and a bathroom? If so, the Dixie Daisy is for you! This cute Airstream trailer has been completely renovated with a retro twist. It’s the perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, yet equipped with the conveniences of home. Grill up a yummy dinner with your honey and dine al fresco on the large deck, take a morning stroll along the creek, turn on the string lights for some mood lighting, take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy your morning shower under the trees in the private, spacious outdoor shower (room for two!), and end your day relaxing by the fire with an ice cold beer. This is the life! The Dixie Daisy provides all the comforts of home in one cute, cozy package. The antique iron bedframe holds a queen mattress, the bathroom has a small interior shower and a real toilet, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils, and alongside the deck is a charcoal grill and fire bowl for your night-time fire. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs in the fridge (as long as the chickens keep up) and local organic coffee. They also strive to make this property as green as possible by using environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent, providing recycled paper products and full recycling, using low-wattage light bulbs, and more. This cozy retreat is nestled in an elm grove along the banks of Smith Creek on 10 beautiful acres shared with the owners. You’ll really feel like you’ve escaped to nature, yet the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley are only 3 miles down the road. It’s the best of both worlds! So, what are you waiting for? The Dixie Daisy is the unique getaway you’ve been dreaming of. We are confident that it will exceed your expectations! Pet policy: Pets are allowed for a fee of $50 per pet, and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended that they be crated and that they remain on leash when wandering the property if they might be inclined to chase a child, cat, or chicken or wander off. Thanks for understanding! Single night bookings: We have a two night minimum, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are happy to accept a single night booking for an additional $25. Just shoot us a message with your date and we'll go from there.
Wimberley is a lovely little town full of unique shops, swimming holes, and friendly folks. We think you'll love your visit here!
  • Location, location, location! Not only is the stay located on an amazing piece of land that the owners are so kind to share with you, but it is also conveniently located to all other local top sights. You will not regret this stay, it is a true retreat and get away with all the privacy you’re looking for.

  • The Dixie Daisy is the coolest air stream get away we could have imagined! It has everything we could’ve asked for in a getaway from town. There is an awesome hot tub, outdoor shower, grill, fire pit, hammock, and a beautiful property on a creek to explore! Thanks Jennifer and Greggory for opening your property to visitors! We loved our stay!

    Michelle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t say enough about this little place. The outdoor area is amazing and so relaxing. Everything you need. The bed is super comfortable one of the best Airbnb we’ve slept in. Close to town. Very private. Loved the property and fresh eggs.

    Cassie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying here and we will be coming back again and again! Amazing amenities and hospitality. The property is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place to disconnect from the day to day and reconnect with your loved one.

  • We had such a great time staying at Jennifer and Gregory’s! Such a fun and unique experience that we would recommend to anyone!

    Vanessa2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with thoughtful touches and in a great location. Peaceful property close to Wimberley.

    Andrea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We can't say enough fabulous things about the Dixie Daisy- our only complaint is that we should have booked at least another night, if not two. The setting was idyllic and felt super secluded despite being so close to everything. From the little touches like farm fresh eggs from their "egg-centric" hens, to the gorgeous jewel of a hot tub, - we just couldn't get enough! We got to see a little snow, too (from the shelter of our heated bed). We will definitley be returning!

“Perfect for social distancing!” - a recent HoneyTree guest. The Sycamore is a treehouse-inspired luxury getaway overlooking the Palo Alto creek. It is the ideal place for your visit to the Texas Hill Country. Only three feet off the ground on one side makes the treehouse very accessible, but steep creek bank gives the impression of perching high in the branches. The treehouses at HoneyTree Farm are secluded and quiet, but conveniently located only 8 minutes from Main Street Fredericksburg.
Perched on a bluff with a beautiful view of nature, and only 8 minutes from Main Street, the Sycamore cabin is tucked among sturdy live oaks, native pecans and wild willow trees. From the deck guests have a clear view of the sycamores lining the banks of the gurgling Palo Alto creek. Huge windows let in lots of light and natural beauty - and the lofted bedroom has spectacular views. The HoneyTree bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and full size soak tub, the kitchen is well-appointed with cooktop, apt size fridge and freezer, microwave and Keurig, cookware, etc. Babies and small children are welcome! Please let us know if you require sheets for the couch or would like to use our twin padded Coleman cot. Bring your own Pack-n-Play :) Please contact us with any special requests and will be happy to accommodate whenever possible.
About two miles north of Fredericksburg city limit, our beautiful slice of Texas awaits your visit.
  • This treehouse is amazing and exactly what I was expecting/hoping for. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night due to our travel plans but I immediately wished we had stayed at least another night. Waking up to that view was so great. We’re already talking about going back for another weekend.

    Sarina2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is everything and more. Cute, clean, quiet, and peaceful. Laying in bed in the loft and looking out those big windows was amazing. Great deck with views. We did not want to leave!

    Maggie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful! Everything was clean and the house was very unique. The whole experience was spectacular!

    Nikki2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • its amazing

    John2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in the woods near Fredericksburg. My husband and I stayed for two amazing nights. It’s in a great location - 10mins drive from town (for restaurants, supermarket etc) but so secluded and quiet. It’s been beautifully designed and appointed - so many thoughtful touches and we had everything we needed for a two night stay. Cabin was warm, bed comfortable and everything you need in bathroom and kitchen. The sunrise was lovely and we enjoyed the local wildlife - particularly the deer. We’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s now around the world and we both agreed this is one of our favourites - just very unusual, a traditional setting but with a modern design and thoughtful touches. Jacob - thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

    Donna2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is so cozy and quiet and has amazing views from both inside the house and outside on the deck! We really enjoyed the short nature walk around the property each morning. Me and my husband truly enjoyed our weekend here and would definitely book again!

    Breanne2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous place! Super clean! A wonderful experience!

    Michael2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time during our stay here! The cabin is a quick drive into town, but you still feel secluded! We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine at sunset on the gorgeous patio. The house was also incredibly comfortable while still maintaining the authentic feeling of staying in the Hill country. Jacob was friendly and responded quickly to our questions. I can say it's one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at. Highly, highly recommend! Would love to come back!

  • A very special place in a central location!

    Eric2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • My aunt and I stayed here, and this has become one of my favorite Airbnb’s. Super cute and private bungalow in a great, safe location. I would definitely recommend this stay!

    Beth2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This location is great. So many places to eat and spend time, this was exactly what we were looking for! Our trip and stay couldn’t have gone better. :-)

    Chris2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Donna's place was wonderful! Really one of the most well-appointed places we've stayed. So many thoughtful details, and notes around the place. The bed was excellent! It was also very quiet and dark at night (great for sleeping!), but your path in and out is very well lit! SO many little extras, I think if there were something someone may have forgotten, Donna had it covered! The area of town is very beautiful, and was very close to the entertainment we came to Houston for.

    Laura2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We travel frequently to Houston and this is our new favorite place. It is in a great location, stylishly furnished, spacious and sparkling. Donna is a great communicator and super host. We hope to find Donna's place available again for future trips!

This log cabin sits on a beautiful piece of the Hill Country. Smith Creek meanders through the 10 acres that Jen and Gregory share with their guests, who rave about their scenic nature walks, relaxing hot tub soaks, or night time fireside chats.
Three Graces Cabin is a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet only minutes from the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley. This romantic one bedroom cabin is nestled in an idyllic grove of oaks and cedar trees along the banks of Smith Creek. The cabin is situated on a private section of 10 gorgeous Hill Country acres that are shared with the owners. Take a stroll along the creek, watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire pit, view the stars from the deluxe hot tub, have a picnic in the tree house, get cozy with your honey alongside the old fashioned wood-burning stove, and feel the stress of your daily life melt away. In Greek mythology, the Three Graces are the Goddesses of Joy, Charm, and Beauty, three virtues that embody the spirit of Three Graces Cabin. Here you get the privacy and serenity of a country cabin with the amenities of modern life, including wifi. The cedar canopy bed and much of the furniture in Three Graces was designed and constructed by the owner, a professional woodworker. Every detail was selected to complement the rustic furnishings with a modern twist. At Three Graces the owners are environmentally conscious. They offer full recycling, use environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent, provide recycled paper products, offer a reverse-osmosis filtration system to eliminate the need for bottled water, and landscape with native low-water plants. We are confident that Three Graces Cabin will exceed your expectations. Just read some of the comments from the previous guests. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs from their hens in the fridge (when the chickens can keep up) and local, organic coffee. You won’t want to leave Three Graces, but you can always come back for another visit! Note: We have a two night minimum policy, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are willing to accept single night bookings for an additional $25. Pet policy: Pets allowed at $50 per pet and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended at the cabin that they be crated and that they remain on leash while on our property if they might be inclined to chase a cat, chicken or child. Thanks!

  • If you’re looking for a peaceful or romantic getaway this place is perfect! We came here to celebrate our new lives as newlyweds and had so much fun. If you get the opportunity to meet their fur babies, Twinkie and Ace, I hope you jump at it because they were super adorable! We definitely want to come back to check out the nest and the la tour house!

  • This a wonderful place to go and unwind. The hosts are wonderful and great at communicating with you. We plan on staying here again.

    Robert2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is phenomenal! My husband and I chose it for a quick 24 hr getaway and we wish we would have booked it for longer! WOW! The Birdhouse is stunning, the location was peaceful and Glen Rose is adorable! I think our favorite part was standing out on the balcony looking at the Texas night sky and the millions of stars you could see for miles. It was exactly what we needed and such a great value for what you get! We WILL be back!

    Emily2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

  • My wife and I genuinely enjoyed our stay. It's not a typical place to book. It has a lot of character. Great for people who just want to relax and get away from normal life. When we stayed, there was no WiFi, which we preferred since it helped us disconnect from everything even more. Highly recommend!

Come experience this completely remolded shotgun house along the Trinity River. This Historic area of Dallas originally settled by Freed Slaves is 1.5 miles from Downtown. I designed this space with AirBnb travelers in mind as I am a frequent AirBnb guest. You have private access to your studio space. Queen size bed. Small kitchenette. High speed wifi. Smart TV. And a fantastic, spacious bathroom. The backyard deck is just outside your door. You have one the best downtown views in the city.
I provide Coffee roasted at local roaster/coffee shop that is about a mile away (Its a great spot to hang out and meet interesting locals :) look it up Full City Rooster.
This neighborhood is in transition. It is sandwiched by 2 of the hottest neighborhoods on town, Bishop Arts and the Cedars. It is about 1 mile in either direction to get to these trendy area and about 1.5 miles into downtown. You also easy access to Cowboys and Rangers stadiums and Six Flags.
  • A great spot for two!!

    Maya2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little studio apartment. The decor is amazing. Great use of color especially in a small space. The view from the deck is stunning. At night, the neighborhood was so quite we could here the nearby frogs from the deck.

  • Super cute Airbnb, it was clean and you get everything you need.

    Samy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place for a great price! Stefan is a great host and we felt very welcomed and taken care of! Really quiet location that's tucked out of the way. It seems a little sketchy at first but I wouldn't worry about the location. The place itself was clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. The shower temperature was a little low and it was hard not to get water all over the bathroom, but it wasn't too big of an issue. Overall, it was a great experience!

    Grady2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! Cute studio close to downtown. Easy check in, clean, cozy, and inexpensive!

    Julissa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay close to downtown! (Cheap Uber ride too!) The host was very hospitable, he has a very nice tenant next door that came over to introduce herself, wished me a happy birthday and offered to help if we needed anything. We didn’t see much of her after that, and we appreciated the privacy with also knowing there was someone close by to help if we needed anything. Definitely recommend and would stay at this location again!

If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features: - 1GB fiber Internet (through WiFi Airport Extreme) - We have a Roku TV with several free apps and a Netflix subscription. - USB Charger for your devices - Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled) We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets. We are: - 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center, - Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown, - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk, - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam). If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece - La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town). - Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food - Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House.
The guesthouse is in the gentrifying East Side neighborhood. It's a wonderful, artsy, quirky place in the heart of the East Side entertainment district. There are countless restauraunts, food trucks, bars, and even four breweries within walking distance. Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trail are just a couple blocks away. The Convention Center is minutes away and all of downtown is easily accessible by e-scooter, e-bike, and rideshare. We are just 10 minutes from the airport.
  • The place was not very big but it was well organized. I was impressed with the real bathroom in such a tiny house. In addition to the very friendly and responsive hosts, I also especially enjoyed the chickens who would run over to see what I had.

  • Our stay at Chad & Anna’s tiny home was absolutely amazing! The tiny home is so cozy and welcoming and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower is big for a tiny home and we loved the A/C and fan. Plus we got to see their cute dogs when we arrived :) The location is perfect! We were walking distance from some great breweries, restaurants and cafes and just a short drive from Downtown, South Congress, and other popular areas. We will definitely be back next time we come to Austin!

  • Anna and Chad were excellent hosts and easy to reach at all times! This tiny house was perfect and had everything we needed. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to get away!

  • comfy little spot just minutes away from downtown, also real convenient to get on the highways. the place is set up real nice, and everything is convenient. 5/5!

  • Great, accommodating hosts. Check-in and out was a breeze and the home is in a convenient location within walking distance or quick car rides to all over Austin. If in the area, would highly recommend staying here.

  • This tiny house was an incredible place to stay! Check-in And check-out were so easy. Everything we could have needed or wanted was provided for us, right down to a well-stocked snack basket (which I really appreciated as I am pregnant and can never know what foods will be acceptable each day). The bed was VERY comfortable, more so than in fancy hotel rooms. We loved the neighborhood too! Awesome places to eat are just within walking distance. There are pets at this location—two great dogs, a wonderful friendly cat, and a hen and rooster who will announce their presence to you in the morning—and we loved it. They made us feel right at home just by being there. But of hearing clucking in the morning isn’t your thing, ear plugs are provided. :)

    Elaine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Tiny House is very cozy & trendy. The bed was sooo comfortable making it hard to start my days :) Anna & Chad were very thoughtful and communicated well & quickly. It was easy to get in and out of the Tiny House. My fur babies also enjoyed staying there. Will definitely stay there again.

    Mónica2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little place. Hosts are wonderful, and they give you tons of privacy. As a private person, I really appreciated this. If you reach out, they respond quickly and can accommodate your needs. Cute little area in East Austin away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet and heard birds chirping in the mornings. Peaceful place to get away.

A remote, off-grid adobe dome, powered by solar power, and near Big Bend National Park.
UPDATE: Last minute availability from March 27th through 29th and April 1st through April 4th due to cancelations from COVID-19 travel restrictions. The Dome remains available as a refuge during these strange times, through we do recommend travelers to bring their own groceries to cook in, as we don't know what will be open and what won't. The hiking trails in Big Bend are open, but the facilities in the park are limited. Please practice the recommended social distancing measures to protect yourselves and our community. Thanks to HGTV for taking an interest and for featuring the Dome on "Mighty Tiny Houses". I've had the fortune of hosting many incredible guests from around the world who have met the challenge of off grid living in the desert of Far West Texas, whether it be for one night, a week, or a month. Though the dome does offer one night rentals, I do urge you to stay at least 2 nights to really settle into off-grid life. It also makes the cleaning fee more justifiable to you. The dome makes a good base for daily trips to different sites, towns, and hikes around the Big Bend Region. Also, I'd like to mention, if it is not already implied, that as a host I subscribe to Airbnb's Community Commitment and nondiscrimination policy which states... " We believe that no matter who you are, where you are from, or where you travel, you should be able to belong in the Airbnb community. By joining this community, you commit to treat all fellow members of this community, regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age, with respect, and without judgment or bias." And now back to our regular scheduled program... The Off Grid Dome shelter is accepting rental guests to share the off-grid experience, and to also help fund this project and future projects . The dome is a very remote and unique space in the desert near Big Bend National Park. The dome rests in an isolated but easily accessible off-grid setting in one of the few remaining territories under a dark sky ordinance, which offers unmatched views of the night sky, and a completely unobstructed view of a horizon that delivers truly majestic sunrises and sunsets. Though the dome is isolated, the entrance to Big Bend National Park is just a 25 minute drive and the historic Terlingua Ghost town about the same. The dome is an earthen structure, with a cob (adobe) barrier to provide shelter from the desert elements such as heat, cold, winds, and rain. The small but functional dome kitchen provides a two burner propane stove and oven, as well as a refrigerator that is powered by solar power. In fact, all power to the dome comes directly from a modest solar energy system and will power phones, laptops, and lights, but not much more (no hair dryers for instance). The kitchen sink pumps water from a small rain collection cistern and thus I ask guests to be very strategic with water use. Guests are recommended to bring one's own drinking water, although backup bottled water is provided onsite as a backup at cost. The Dome bed sleeps two comfortably. Linens, pillows, and a blanket (and a duvet in colder months are provided for the main bed. The pallet couch does sleep a third person quite comfortably, but guests must bring their own linens or sleeping bag (and pillow) for a third guest. In hotter months, a fan is provided, and the nature of the thick adobe provides a buffer against the Summer temps (with limitations). The wrap around windows provides a good cross breeze and fresh air when needed. In cooler months, a small propane heater is provided for a little extra boost, as well as clean linens and a duvet cover. The dome and linens will not be cleaned during your stay. There is no flush toilet, and so you must be comfortable using a composting toilet that is in a separate, and private outhouse next to the dome. There is no shower on site, but I can give you recommendations for $2 coin showers in town. Or you can try an outdoor solar bag shower on the property. There is wifi on site. The property is very accessible by road, with only the last mile being on a gravel road in good condition. Read house rules to learn about amenities. SUMMERTIME DISCLAIMER (June through September): The Summer can get hot here in the desert and while the adobe dome gives a good buffer against the outside elements, there is no AC in the dome, just a fan. There are also perimeter windows to entice a night breeze. Also, bugs and other desert creatures tend to culminate in the Summer months. Don’t be surprised if you encounter a scorpion or black widow spider and don’t be frightened either as they are relatively harmless and non-threatening. I do have the dome on a somewhat forgiving 5 night out cancelation policy during off-peak periods and so if the 10 day forecast looks too scary for you, you can cancel without penalty. Many say that Summer is their favorite time of the year out here. But it all depends on one's heat tolerance. Looking forward to hearing from you and even more so, to hosting you out here in the magnificence of the Big Bend. Guest Access A private earth-built dome, parking, wifi, a kitchen, kitchen supplies, and a composting toilet. Looking forward to hearing from you and even more so, to hosting you out here in the magnificence of the Big Bend.
The only amenities that the dome is in walking distance to are the natural features of the Chihuahuan desert, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and one of the best locations in the world to see the unobstructed night sky. A large grocery store called "The Cottonwood" with everything from organics to vices is in Study Butte and is about 20 minutes away by car. They are open until 9 PM. The entrance to the National Park is about 25 minutes away, and the Chisos Mountains in the National Park takes about an hour. There are some great trails up there. If you like hot springs, there is a great one near Rio Grande Village in the National Park. It is a good way to rest the muscles after a good day hike. Give yourself an hour and a half to get back to the dome from the hot springs. Terlingua Ghost Town has a great restaurant called the Starlight Theatre. There is music there almost every night. The closest restaurant to the dome is called Tivos. It has great authentic Mexican food and I think is only open Thursday through Saturday nights. Service can take awhile because they make everything from scratch. You are welcome to try an outdoor solar shower at the dome, but your best bet are the showers up at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge (13 miles up the road from the dome), or the $2 coin showers in Study Butte at the Big Bend Motor Inn. The $2 showers are on your way to and from the National Park and there are multiple showers. The Terlingua Ranch Lodge has a great swimming pool that costs $5 per car, which includes a bath house with showers as well. Bring your own towel.
  • Ideal location for exploring the whole area - national Park, State Park and small towns. We especially enjoyed morning and evening walks along the “Dome Run” path around the property, spotting jackrabbits and birdwatching. Everything was just as pictured/described, if not better. Responsive host. Extremely quiet, comfortable, beautiful spot - inside and out. We would love to come back sometime!

*Wanderin' Star Farms takes seriously our duty to clean and disinfect our spaces and change out 100% of our linens every single stay so you can confidently come and distance yourself socially as much as you'd like!* This farmhouse-modern guest cabin is perched on a hill with big windows looking out toward lots of local landscape and light! The cabins have large porches with big farm tables, fiber internet, and righteous coffee setup with options ranging from fast and easy to slow and nerdy :).
Our tiny cabins sit on top of a small hill and face outward with views of a creek-wrought "canyon" area. Tons of big windows flood the space with natural light. Awesome kitchen with farm sink and cooktop island with seating for 5 awaits your culinary chops! We'll supply 2oz of beans per person, per day - enough for either a 6 cup chemex or 32 oz press, and have additional coffee available for purchase for $20 per 12oz bag. We also supply a tea kettle and a small assortment of organic hot teas, plus filtered water for all of these! The cabin, porch, and the entire property are non-smoking areas. • Justin was a great host! He replied quick and answered all my questions. I was not from the area and he provided perfect directions for me to find the cabin. Cabin was adorable, cozy and clean. The beds were very comfortable. I’ve never stayed in a Air Bnb alone before and this was a great first experience.

  • I have been looking for a tiny house stay for some time. My family of three including our almost two-year-old enjoyed the stay at this tiny house. The place was beautiful, clean and spaced in a charming setting. Huge windows in this tiny house made it even more special!!!

  • Thank you making this stay a wonderful one. You were so quick to respond, the coffee was delicious and the experience is one of a kind. Super clean home with expressive design and decor. The water filter was a GREAT feature. That is certainly the first time I’ve experienced that convenience. I also appreciated the level of privacy even though I stayed in a glass tiny home. The natural light was a plus for me even in the photos. I never in my life would I think I would wake up to see a cow outside my window. Loved that! Very clean and has everything you just about need during your stay. Highly recommend this stay if you’re traveling with small children, a group of friends or even a romantic getaway with your special someone. The coffee shops and boutiques are just a few minutes away including a few local experiences like wineries and distilleries. If you have time stop into the small charming town of Wimberley. We love brunch at the Wimberley Cafe and coffee at Sip! And sweets from the Sugar Shack. Definitely worth the drive!

*** In light of the current pandemic, we have upgraded our already stringent cleaning protocols. In addition to our standard top to bottom clean between every stay, all surfaces in the house, including door handles, light switches, counters and tabletops, pillows and mattresses and of course, the entire bathroom are disinfected with a CDC-approved disinfectant that completely kills all viruses. Our cleaning protocols go far beyond what you will find in most all traditional hotels and are the same as the top luxury 5-star hotels. We are taking the health and safety of you, our guests, as well as our cleaners and staff, very seriously in this time.*** This unique home started as a 20’ shipping container. We insulated and paneled the interior in pine shiplap. The outside is clad with cedar siding with spacing to allow the original container to still be seen. Entry is through the original container doors. We removed the steel panels from the doors and replaced them with picturesque full glass. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with fully color-adjustable LED lights under the rail that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. The deck is accessed by an alternating step stairway.
Great, safe neighborhood in the country just north of Waco. 5 minutes from I-35 and 3 minutes from Homestead Cafe and Craft Village. Only 8 minute from the Waco airport.
  • This was such a great stay! We enjoyed our early anniversary celebration here. One of my favorite features is the upper deck, loved bundling up with a blanket, reading a good book, and watching the sunset. The shower and water pressure are amazing. The hosts were very helpful and reached out multiple times to check if we got in alright and if we needed anything before we left. We can't wait to come back, and maybe check out some of their other tiny home properties.

Central East Austin is a diverse, eclectic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood!
  • This was my second stay at Julie and Pete’s place. It is immaculate; the beds are super comfortable, the bathroom is lovely and all the soap products are made with lavender! It is in a nice neighborhood and just a walk away from Lady Bird Lake. The hosts are incredibly responsive and attentive. I will plan my next trip to Austin around the availability of this sweet little home away from home. Thank you, Julie and Pete!

OK, so it is not a house built in a tree, but The Tree House does sit high in the air, nestled among towering oak and pine trees. Our Tree House cabin is the crowning achievement of our Cora’s Cabin complex. This one bedroom, one bath is great for you and your special someone to enjoy a night or two away from your crazy, busy life, but still able to connect to WiFi. Roast s’mores over your personal fire pit or throw steaks on the grill at the base of your cabin....Come on you know you want to..
Cora’s Cabins are 2 miles north of Tyler State Park, 20min from downtown Tyler, mid-way between Dallas and Shreveport on I-20. We are a mile from Tiger Creek Refuge, and 10 min from Miranda Lambert's hometown of Lindale. We are secluded, but we make sure you stay connected.
Your in the country 20 min from Tyler but 4 miles from I20

    Harrison2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The tree house was absolutely amazing! Everything was so thoughtful - little chocolates on the bed, coffee pods, fire starters, toiletries. The location was great, the tiger sanctuary is just down the road and the caldwell zoo is 15 mins out. I loved how quiet and peaceful it was at night. We will definitely return!

  • We celebrated my husband 60’s birthday. We needed to just get away and unplugged and refresh. The tree house was exactly want we needed. Harlan was a great host and his dog Thang was a great tour guide of the property. The Tree house was very clean and cozy. The best part was sitting rocking on the porch listening to the wind going through the trees.

    Linda2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was an amazing place to stay. Friendly owners. There wasn’t anything left out or undone or I thought of from the wine to the welcome note to the space. It was absolutely perfect. Will definitely return to this space many times. It’s like a little piece of heaven in earth. Thank you guys for the amazing stay.

Step from the upstairs suite to the well-lit rooftop deck for an evening cocktail. A fusion of 2 shipping containers, 20' and 40', the interior of this unique home is insulated and paneled in pine shiplap and trimmed in 100+ year old barn wood.
This unique home started as two shipping containers–20' and 40'. We insulated and paneled the interior in pine shiplap and trimmed it out in 100+ year old barnwood. The outside is clad with cedar siding with spacing to allow the original container to still be seen. Entry is through the original container doors or a side entry with a standard door. We removed the steel panels from the doors and replaced them with picturesque full glass. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with LED lights under the rail that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. The deck and upstairs bedroom is accessed by an exterior spiral stairway.
The location is a safe rural neighbourhood, just north of Waco and close to I-35. Surrounded by trees, cattle graze nearby. Guests are also welcome to use the lawn. Shop and eat in Homestead Cafe and Craft Village. only 3 minutes away by road.
  • This is the only place I would stay if I came back to Waco! We loved it very much!

    Sarah Jane2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Helm was a perfect stay for our group of 4. We were visiting Waco and found this place to be close and affordable. The place was nicely appointed and the design was well thought out. We were very comfortable here. Although it’s a container home, it has plenty of large windows and didn’t seem at all “tiny.” It had more than enough room, and the decor was modern farmhouse. It was located with other tiny homes in a cute little park setting. It felt safe and quaint. Everything we needed was provided. We would definitely recommend staying here. It was lovely.

    Kris2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Helm was seriously the perfect addition to our girls trip. Four of us stayed comfortably and the other three ladies were just as excited/pleased with this 2 story tiny container home as I was! We thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd story patio and the beds were very comfortable. The location was convenient to all things Waco and the hosts were great with communication. Check in/out was extremely easy! Stop debating and book this place now! You won’t regret it!

    Jamie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking. Super cool, unique and well-thought out container home. It is a beautiful place with everything you need for a great stay.

  • Perfect stay! Clayton was very accommodating when we had a small issue. The Helm is beautiful, decor, cleanliness, comfortable, all amenities where met. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back!

  • The tiny house is very nice and cute. Our family really enjoy our stay. Will stay here again if we visit Waco next time. :)

  • We can’t wait to go back! We loved our first tiny home stay and it might be the best way to vacation. There are several houses on the property and I’d be happy staying in any of them. Great hosts and lovely home. Wish it was closer to town but the privacy and open area was relaxing. We sat on the deck and looked at the stars. Definitely recommend. :-)

My cabin is a hidden gem in Urbandale, a neighborhood only 15 minutes from downtown that's filled with unique architecture, old trees, and multicultural flavor. Crafted from pine felled and hand-planed in Boone, NC, the cabin has a wonderful smell and unique aesthetic. It's like a woodcutter's home deep in the woods, yet sits safely in my verdant backyard. Covered parking is removed from the road and secure. Already booked or need more space? Check out my Airstream!
This microhouse is one-of-a-kind, crafted by a true artisan. Its decor was collected over years of careful selection. Strong A/C and heat emit from the same window unit. The definition of cozy! One of the best glamping spots in Texas, according to TravelPirates, one of the coolest Airbnbs in Dallas, according to the Dallas Observer, and the most wish-listed Airbnb in Dallas according to Dallas Business Journal.
White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum, The Great Trinity Forest, Trinity Audubon Center, and Oak Cliff are also nearby.
  • Cozy. Clean. Comfortable. The perfect weekend retreat!

    Kay2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The coziest little haven. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the bed is ridiculously comfy. This was a solo getaway and the perfect place to have it. I also love that my stay helps plant trees! Grady is a thoughtful host with a kind heart. You can’t go wrong!

  • Grady's cabin is one of a kind. A true labor of love. Very cozy and the shower is spectacular ! The bed is very comfortable but sags slightly in the middle. The location is close to downtown ( 10-15 minutes) . Would stay again anytime !!

  • Definitely a place to relax and get away and still be close to the city. Hope to return again!

    Bj2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful space. The handcrafted cabin constructed from reclaimed materials gives the space a comfortable rustic charm. The shower was the best. Definitely recommend this space. It's just far enough from downtown that you don't feel like your in the city.... yet downtown is an easy $12 uber ride away.

Porch Light Hospitality presents, The Pumphouse. Built in 1933, the original pump house was a windmill fed water storage tank for the main house and a working farm. Tastefully remodeled in 2013, the Pumphouse takes you back as you enter through the original "Basse" rock tank house. The industrial feel of galvanized pipes and cement floors are carefully balanced with a cozy living room and plush king size bed. The bathroom boasts a jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The relaxing feel flows to the private outdoor courtyard with private hot tub, outdoor shower, television. You will make memories here that are unforgettable. Book today.
The pump house is an old water tank that was converted to a guest house. We tried to keep the industrial elements but add the soft touches to make it interesting but super comfy.
We are about one mile to Main Street. There are local taxis and Uber if you prefer not to drive.
  • The pictures do not do this place justice. It was so unique, cozy, and just a quick drive to down town.I highly recommend The Pumphouse and will be staying here again in the future!

    Terry2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Super cool place. Very clean and modern. Nice touches throughout. Great bed and bathroom. Highly recommend.

    Bryan2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The pump house was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. The amenities are great especially the outdoor hot tub. The hammock is best to lay in the morning while the birds are chirping. We love the location because it’s away from all the traffic but still convenient to everything. You will not be disappointed.

    Antonio2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

    Kayleigh2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place!! We had such a great time.

    Taylor2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip to the Pump House was lovely! We loved all the small touches that made staying there a good experience. They provided local fresh ground coffee with cream and sugar/sweeteners, a list of local points of interest, an umbrella (which was nice because it rained the whole time), basic toiletries, a fire pit starter log, a couple of bottles of water, and a welcome letter. We felt so comfortable in the space because it had a small seating area and large king bed with plenty of pillows and blankets to be snuggled up by the gas fire place in the bedroom. The hot tub was perfect for 2 (though a few of the jets were not functioning). The property manager said they would address that maintenance need for future guests. We loved the shower in the bathroom, and the overall rustic decor of the facility. Street parking was abundant and the area was very quiet. For the two of us, it was a perfect amount of space. The only thing I didn't notice in the pictures prior to the visit was that there is not really a space to hang up clothing aside from a few hooks on the wall in the bedroom and in the bathroom. There isn't a closet with hangers if that is something that you feel like you need. This would not deter us from going back again. I should also note that we had to change our dates due to a scheduling conflict and the owners worked with us to make that adjustment easily, and with quick, professional communication. We can't wait to return to the property again in the fall!

  • I am not usually fond of the country or farm-type lifestyle. We usually vacation in big cities. However, as a stressed out teacher about to go forth into STAAR testing season, I wanted something different: to escape from everyone and everything and just relax. I definitely got what I asked for at this cottage. It was very cozy and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the decorations are very authentic. We went mountain-biking in the state park and grilled New York Strips on the adorable pig pit. The friendly kitties were possibly my favorite thing. We are “cat parents” so having the cats hang around made it feel like home away from home. The only problems we ran into were the hot tub heating in a timely manner. We let it run for a good four hours and it remained cold, so we gave up. I think the heating element may be going out. Also, we were awakened by construction workers walking on the roof and using power tools around 8:45 on the morning of our departure without warning. I guess that was a sign they were ready for us to leave! All in all, it was a great vacation and I would return without hesitation.

  • The Gathering is the way you do Fredericksburg! Every picture was true to description and even better in person. We enjoyed nature, the fireplace, the hot tub at night, and the place was a perfect place to call “home” as we explored Fredricksburg. We studied The Scoop and the recommended spots from the hosts (they give a great local inside scoop to what’s best to visit) and we almost hit every one of them. Big fans of Otto’s Emma & Ollie (get the tomato toast), warehouse and Vaudeville Bistro. We will be coming back and we will be checking months in advance to make sure we can enjoy the Gathering again.

    Kurt2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay (looks just like the photos suggest!) and especially enjoyed the “welcome” pamphlet that gave suggestions on restaurants, wineries, etc. We ended up trying a few new places we had never been before, and have found our new favorite winery (Signor Vineyards). It was also so nice to watch the sunset overlooking the field behind The Gathering. Thank you for providing a quiet, peaceful retreat for the weekend. We would love to come back in the future!

    Kelly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed in The Hideaway for one night, and we had such a nice stay. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and this one was one of the best. There was so much space and we loved the indoor/outdoor living area. Absolutely recommend this Airbnb for your stay in Fredericksburg.

    Amanda2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb’s my husband and I have ever stayed in. I loved that you could watch TV while in the hot tub, so cool! The only minor thing I’d recommend is that you bring beach towels with you. We only received 4 towels for 2 people staying 2 nights. That would be fine normally except when you consider the hot tub usage.

    Jennie2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Modern decor with great amenities! The indoor/outdoor fireplace was fantastic. We didn’t get to use the hot tub but it was nice to know we had the option :o) Roomy and spacious. Loved our little staycation!

  • Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Everything about it was amazing and cute and quaint and relaxing! I used a bunch of the restaurant tips they gave which were also scrumptious! Also the bed is so comfortable I’ve never had a better night sleep!🥰

  • We loved our stay at this tiny house. Despite the size, everything that you need is here. I enjoyed the little touches like kCups for coffee or the little chocolates by the bed. Very cool. There is also some great running to be had in the back roads of the neighborhood behind the property. I loved my morning runs listening to waking roosters and herds of sheep and cattle. Very Texas. I highly recommend.

  • My husband and I had the best time staying at the tiny home. I don’t think we were mentally prepared for how TINY it was actually going to be. The place was cleaned perfectly and the hosts were always quick to answer any questions we had. It is about 15 minutes from downtown Waco/Magnolia Market.

What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we live on a HUGE lot so close to the city center. It's like having a piece of the country in town.
  • Absolutely wonderful little spot. Super clean, very cozy. The "shop" in the yard was a wonderful little addition I didn't know about until after I booked. Nice location, only about a 10 minute drive to 6th street and South Congress. Everything was thought of, from soap to room spray. I would caution anyone over 6' that it is an camper and therefore the ceiling is a bit short, but absolutely fantastic for the price and location. Would highly recommend to anyone!

  • This was my second time staying in Marcella’s Airstream - I loved it so much last time that I had to come back. It’s so cute and creatively decorated inside, and the backyard is absolutely beautiful. We loved seeing the chicks running around the garden! The little on site store is brilliant for buying snacks and beautiful souvenirs. I had the best bath ever in the lovely roll top tub - the bathroom is very special.

    Faye2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and quaint. Must stay place.

    James2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the unique experience of staying in an old airstream! From the time we arrived little Reggie the cat was more than happy to escort us to our front door which was so cute! Loved the little mini neighborhood feel of the backyard - a little mercantile shop for treats during your stay, all of the other animals on site, and the strings of lights which guided your way home if you were coming home late from dinner or in town after sunset. Would highly recommend staying and would love to get the chance to meet Marcella next time. Her story and little family album in the AirBnB were the perfect touch.

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such an idyllic space!! Absolutely magical. Wish we had more time to spend here but thoroughly enjoyed our short visit!

    Phillip & Annie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • Such an awesome experience with Nicole at Casita Cove. Pictures and descriptions were exactly as described and so many thoughtful touches and additional information about the local area/things to do that she provided went above and beyond and made our stay even more easy and relaxing. A great, quiet getaway with amazing scenery and tons to do in the area.

    Kelley2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at one of Nicole's properties. Last time I stayed at another unit in the same area. Everything about the experience was great. The location is stunning. To me it feels like being able to travel to a European country without leaving the state of Texas. I definitely plan to stay here again!

  • Casita Cove was wonderful! Great communication with the host that set us up for a relaxing time in a quiet community. We will definitely check out the place once the weather gets warmer to fully experience what they are all about. Would recommend highly!

    Perfecto2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our best Airbnb experience to date! Not only is the place gorgeous, it is comfortable, cozy and convenient! Besides the little surprise touches, I've never seen such explicit instructions--even a diagram about how to open and close the little computer table! Communication was warm and quick. Two days of rain and cool temperatures didn't diminish the enjoyment. It was a little paradise. Thank you again and again!

    Jan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing. Definitely coming back!! Nicole and Paul added a very personal touch that was very unique.

    Carolina2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

    Karla2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at this house! It was very clean and so cute! I really enjoyed reading the hand written notes from people that stayed previously that was so cool! The front door was a bit tricky but they warn you with the check in info. The loft stairs were scarier than I expected but no big deal for us, we didn’t need that space. But definitely not for faint of heart or older folks. We did hear the train during the night so maybe a sound machine for light sleepers. Very fun experience staying in a fixer upper and super close to everything we wanted to do in Waco

    Dana2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

The style of the place was very cute and the outside is extremely beautiful. I was able to check in and out very smoothly and it's very peaceful. I will definitely stay at this place again <3

  • Anne's home is truly delightful. An experience not to be missed. Constructed largely from concrete glass and metal, it has a distinctly European feel and a sense of permanence that is often missing from typical wood-framed structures. The home is complete with all facilities required for any length of stay, including a firm bed, which is sadly rare in most homes.

  • Víctor has a lovely place and was excellent at responding to messages and keeping the place cozy.

  • Victors bungalow was very clean, neat, and organized. I appreciated the amenities and the price was next to impossible to beat. If you are looking for a 1 night stay or even a weekend and want to avoid paying for an over priced hotel I would definitely recommend this listing, thanks!

  • Hands down one of the coziest stays I have had. I love El Paso so much and this little casita is the perfect representation of what this city is. Thank You!

  • Victor's casita was a breath of fresh air after 8 hours on the road! The space was comfortable, cozy, and very stylishly decorated. Little touches like coffee, tea, and cereal for our morning improved our experience greatly. All in all a great value for our short stay in El Paso.

  • This was a cool little gem. Exactly what I was looking for - very close to Franklin mountain trails for my trail runs and almost immediate access to highway. 10 minutes to job site! As Victor explained, quiet and safe neighborhood. Lots of great tips in Host package. Super satisfied with this find.
