Places to stay in Spring Green

Places to stay in Spring Green
full kitchen, laundry, one private bedroom with queen bed, pull-out sleeper couch, wood floors. There is a sauna in the apartment as well as a big screen TV including access to Netflix. Step outside for a walk on 7 acres, 2 creeks, extensive vegetable and flower gardens. Dogs and cats on property. 20 miles from Madison, WI.
We own a wood flooring installation company. So of course our entire house is our showcase. We built the place with our own personal hammers and the help of friends in 1990. Maintaining and improving our home is both our art and passion. We think you'll find it comfortable, warm and beautiful.
Living and playing in the Wisconsin River Valley is awesome. Our town is lightly populated yet close to extremely popular destinations. We're 20 minutes from Devil's Lake ( hiking, swimming) House on the Rock, Taliesen, American Players Theater and Wisconsin Dells. Closer to home the biking, kayaking and hiking options are varied and exciting. Right in our own back yard there are two creeks, a circle of trees with a fire pit and mowed trails for meandering. It's a beautiful place.
  • You can expect the unexpected, meaning, it’s even more than what you could have wanted in an Air BNB. It’s just so nice here.

    Danny2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is very clean. Easy to get in and out of the apartment. Furnished very well, much nicer than many Air BnB rentals for the price.

    Josh2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was really clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend staying!

  • Came up to do a day of skiing at devils head. Maria’s place is not too far from the mountain and the perfect place to call home after a long day of travel/activity. There is a wonderful sauna, the property is gorgeous and the space is lovely. It’s a perfect escape from the city and I couldn’t recommend it more highly! Definitely going to stay again this summer and bring the dog

    Lisa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s place was so lovely! It was winter time so we didn’t get to enjoy the fire or outside shower but the sauna was incredible! It had the cutest vintage stove and everything was incredibly clean. They are very big into reducing our carbon footprint so they had compost bins and line dried their clothes and linens which was super cool to experience. Would definitely recommend Maria’s place!

    Brenda2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s place was lovely and her homemade cookies made it feel even more homey. Would stay again!

We welcome you to be our guest in our comfy, warm cabin nestled on the lower Wisconsin River. We disinfect entire cabin between each guest. We are close to many area attractions including Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, House on the Rock, American Players Theater, Wisconsin Dells, and much more! Activities include canoeing, fishing, hunting, shopping in quaint villages, or just relaxing watching the river... Our cabin is easy to get to and close to area villages but in a private setting.
Our cabin sits about 30 feet from the river. We have a spectacular view of the river from a large picture window in the cabin, or from sitting on the deck or back yard bench.
  • Great view!!

  • Great relaxing view!

    Robert2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is right on the river with a large deck to sit and watch the river and the wildlife. The cabin is cozy and comfortable with plenty of room to relax and unwind with a good book. We had such a restful few days in Sandy’s cabin and the fresh cookies on arrival were a wonderful welcoming touch.

    Alex2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice little cottage. The view of the river was lovely, and the brownies the host left were a delightful touch.

    Jacob2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific cabin on the Wisconsin River. Amazing views with outdoor activities at your fingertips. Rick and Sandy are great accommodating hosts. Much looking forward to our return trip.

    Rob2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the stay here much. By the second day it was already feeling like home. These two are wonderful people and with the early snow they made sure we were taken care of. Sandy works in a lovely flower shop half an hour away that we were invited to visit.

    Jenelle2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely lovely stay! Sandy was a quick and communicative host, and made it easy to extend our stay. She also made us some chocolate pudding, which we all enjoyed! The cabin was extremely well equipped— we made dinner there every night! The views are spectacular, and the changing colors of the leaves were lovely. There is a grill that we used, and a fire pit where were made a fire each night. The space was more than comfortable for myself, my fiancé, and my mom. We stayed upstairs in the bedroom, and mom had the downstairs level all to herself—lots of privacy. We could not have asked for a better stay! We would come back to the area in a heartbeat— just to stay at the delightful little cabin and enjoy the fall views! Do yourself a favor, and book Sandy’s cabin!

    Kyra2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay! Sandy was a great hostess, meeting is us at the end of the drive and showing us around. She even went as far as leaving a pumpkin pie and whipped cream! Beautiful scenery as well! Highly recommend this place.

Hey! Thanks for all your support, its made us an eco-village. (Please read all information provided in listing) You are renting a country house on a working community farm. In the WI hills, 25 minutes from Madison, far enough away and still close enough. Please avoid bringing bottle water and styrofoam whenever possible.

The pastoral scenery of the Driftless and access to near by parks. If you are looking for a cool day trip, I like spring green, but most of the time its just nice to relax away from the city. Here are some usual spots people visit; Indian Lake state park and the Ice trail are within a short drive (2 min). Wollersheim Winery and boat rentals on the Wisconsin river in Sauk City, Devil's lake, lake Wisconsin, Mazomanie Beach (An iconic nude beach). We sit on the gateway to Wisconsin's 'Driftless' region, amazingly beautiful and unexpected, within easy driving distance (30 min) is Spring Green and Mt. Horeb; House on the Rock, Taliesin, Cave of the Mounds and Tyrol Basin. About 45 minutes to Wisconsin Dells, Devil's lake, and Baraboo, great looking hills that way, great camping and nature over there. 25 minutes to downtown Madison by car, or 90+ minutes by bike along HWY 12 bike path, enjoy the vibrancy of Wisconsin's capitol, like the Saturday farmer's market on the capitol square (allegedly biggest in the country) is a must see, arrive early because it gets crowded. Check the Guide book for my favorite restaurants, bars, sights and services in the area.
  • This is a wonderful place to stay! We loved everything about our time here. Mike and company are very accommodating and brought us fresh coffee beans, fresh chicken eggs, and supplies to make s’mores! Also, this home is very close to Indian Lake (less than a 10 minute drive down the road) so we went there everyday of our stay to walk in the dog park. Overall, this is a lovely home in a fabulous location with great people managing the space! Highly recommend!!

  • We adored this place! We sat and listened to music in the living room all night, with a fire in the wood stove. The kitchen is full service and we enjoyed a nice cup of fair trade coffee in the morning. Thank you for a sustainable and waste free experience. We will definitely return!

    Sara2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • There's lots to do here - from wandering around the farm to playing games by the fire. Would definitely recommend if you're trying to get away from your busy life!

  • We had a long weekend at the Napping Farm. It was conveniently located and close to Madison and other smaller towns. The farmhouse was cozy and had everything you needed. It was great to have an escape from the city and get some fresh air. Plus, it was great we could bring our dog too :)

TV, DVD player, radio, a closet full of games, etc. A VErY nice, relaxing place to unwind. We highly recommend!

  • I had a hard time choosing only one thing on the first question as so many things were great. Denise was super responsive and very accommodating. We have done rentals like this in the past and found this home to be a little better stocked than others. We did a small family Christmas gathering at the house and everyone immediately fell in love with it.😍

    Renee2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay. Deffinatly going to bring some friends for a retreat.

  • Dede and Aaron where great hosts. They were quick to respond to our one question. Their place was wonderful, much larger than we expected and well furnished with all that we needed. We love the quiet neighborhood and friendly community. We enjoyed checking out the sights of Taliesin and House on the Rock. Being a Monday and Tuesday we were disappointed that many of the local restaurants were closed but we did enjoy dinner at the Wisconsin Riverside Resort.

And, it's just a few miles from the House on the Rock and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. Spring Green is a lovely and friendly town, with good restaurants and shopping. Dede and her family are friendly and welcoming, and their sweet dog and cat were a nice addition to our sense of feeling right at home.

  • Aaron's place is cute and cozy. The location is perfectly convenient whether you're there for House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wright, or any number of things within a small drive. The place is clean and comfy and blocks from an awesome dog park if you bring your dog. Aaron was incredibly responsive with any questions and easy to work with. We'll happily come back!

  • My partner and I have now come back for the second time in a year to Kathy and Dennis's yurt paradise. We love the simple, amazing space, the outdoors, and interacting with the wonderful hosts. We were able to bring our dog and co-exist in the wonderful space, even though it's very small. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful get-away, this place is perfect!

    Jessie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy and Dennis were incredibly wonderful. This stay was much of an experience and lead to a unique vacation for us while not straying too far from home. Dennis helped up navigate in the harsh Wisconsin snow and Kathy was personable and accommodating. Would for sure recommend to a friend!

    Lyndsey2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was so fun and relaxing to stay in the yurt. The area is beautiful and Kathy and Dennis are thoughtful and kind.

    Hannah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised -- cozy little place with no shower and in the winter time no running water. But it was good -- happy I stayed here. If you are a light sleeper (like me), you might want ear plugs for the beautiful and calm wind chime outside and the space heater that kicks on every hour or two. Not a big deal, especially if you can sleep through soft sounds like these. I recommend this for the adventurous :)

  • We had a great stay! The decor is so cool with lots of amenities. Breakfast was amazing, gorgeous and delicious!

    Dani2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts, Daniel and Irina, are lovely people, very friendly and welcoming. Their home is uber clean. We were in the Rose Room, which was in the basement. We are (um, older) ladies and we loved the rose floral wallpaper. The Rose Room was an attractive space, with its beautiful curtains, lovely antique furniture and furnishings, comfortable queen bed and ever so soft bed linens. The floor was carpeted in what looked like Berber carpeting. The room has an ensuite bathroom with pedestal sink and tub/shower combo. The basement has its own thermostat, so you can adjust the HVAC. Also in the basement is a nice lounge area with comfy sofas, a large TV, and a powder room. The lounge was cozy and pleasant, with some steampunk light fixtures. The common areas upstairs are decorated everywhere with antique furniture and furnishings and steampunk items. We were new to steampunk and were glad to see that the hosts had books about steampunk so we could learn what it is. They had items that were unusual and just fascinating. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing something that you had to both ponder and admire. We saw a play at American Players Theatre and later that evening Irina played the harp for the guests. It was an enchanting experience. She is very talented. Daniel and Irina prepared a fresh and delicious breakfast. We appreciated the home's welcoming atmosphere and Daniel and Irina's ever present smiles. We will gladly return.

  • The Steampunk Manor is a real treat! The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. All of your needs are met. Everywhere you turn there is something new to look at or enjoy in the space. Daniel is a great host that aims to please. The food that he and his wife made was unique and delicious! I did not go hungry! The food was homemade and we got to experience some Russian cuisine. Again, so delicious! We look forward to another trip to the Manor.

  • Best place to rest and relax! Our host, Doug, prepared everything needed for the stay, including shoveling unusual snow in early November (without it our car couldn't reach there). Thanks Doug & Meg.

  • My second straight year, same week and I will return again next year for my annual golf trip, this place is like a cabin with cable, perfect for relaxing after being out all day. Meg and Doug are terrific hosts and they deliver on their promise. I wouldn’t change a thing.

    Mike2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute, cozy, and comfortable. Doug and Meg are great hosts the space they have is wonderful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Chris2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Came for a bachelor meet up point and left with a fantastic story. The host went out of his way to make sure everything was fantastic and comfortable. When you roll up to the place, likely the first thing you see is an orange cat galloping at full speed to great you. I promise you your stay only gets better from there The scenery is lovely, there is a porch to sit and drink coffee on, there is a garden to marvel at and all the rooms are cozy and homy. The only thing to be advised about is because it's so far out in the country and so surrounded by trees its incredibly difficult to get a cell signal. However a quick 1 minute jaunt down the road gets you a signal. But the wifi is strong and that helps a lot. All on all, I would reccomend this place to anyone looking to get away for a while. To put your phones down and savor being in a lush, beautiful countryside. To see the stars untarnished by city light pollution. To wake up in the morning to the dew and drink a strong cup of coffee. Absolutely worth asking price and worth a trip to see.

With the CoronaVirus threat, it makes sense to travel closer to home for a while. Our beautifully renovated 2600 SF Barnhouse is in a vintage 80-year-old apple orchard with a creek running through the middle of it, a private, spring-fed pond, 1100 acre county park with a "No-Wake" lake and close to Wisconsin Dells. Everything the Wisconsin outdoors has to offer without driving all the way up North to get it. We're only 45 minutes north of Madison and 30 minutes from the famous Wisconsin Dells.
Envision walking through the vintage apple orchard, you pause for just a moment, close your eyes, and take a deep breath of fresh country air and blossoms while being serenaded by the songbirds singing their hearts out in the distance. Gradually your focus shifts to the creek's gentle, soothing trickle running through the middle of it all, and the rest of the world disappears. That was the experience we had the minute we looked at this property and we knew it had "vacation getaway" written all over it. It just needed a little TLC to get it there first. The barnhouse can accommodate up to 8 adult guests and additional children on cots if necessary. It has 2 Queen-size bedrooms and one  Loft Suite with a  King-size bed and a trundle bed for 2 children/teenagers/possibile adults to stay in the loft as well. There is an apartment downstairs completely separated from the rental unit that may or may not be rented out full time by our property manager. We created a living space and surrounding environment that we would want for the ultimate place to unwind, forget the rest of the world, forget work, soak up nature, and yet, not be too isolated if we decided we wanted a little more civilization now and then. And of course, it had to have all the creature comforts to make it a completely relaxing stay and not work. You can't get more relaxing, peaceful and convenient at the same time than this place. We would vacation here; and we do! We know others will see what we saw in it and appreciate its amazing location and features as well. It is a hidden gem in this part of Wisconsin. The orchard is a very peaceful setting with a variety of colorful songbirds that are attracted to it and a gently cascading creek through the middle of it. We also have a wonderfully shady walnut grove that is a great place for a hammock, or picnic, under the shade of one of the largest walnut trees in the state that we named Old Henry. It takes two people to put their arms around Henry's trunk, and there is something very peaceful and soothing about laying or sitting under his huge protective branches. The lake has a nice, clean beach for swimming, a boat landing and is stocked with bluegill and bass. There are groomed walking trails all the way around the lake, as well as rv/snowmobile trails, horseback riding trails, cross country skiing trails and picnic areas. This particular county park only charges $5 per day, or you can get an annual pass for only $25. You will never be able to kayak or fish all the lakes and rivers that Wisconsin has to offer in your lifetime. If you like the water, the forest and wildlife, this is the place to vacation, and our Barnhouse rental offers it all without the grueling drive all the way up "North". Don't worry about getting bored, if you desire some unique entertainment, we are only 30 minutes from the famous Wisconsin Dells where you can go mini-golfing, schedule a duck boat ride through the beautiful sandstone cliffs of the Dells, shop the souvenir stores, dine out or experience the largest water parks in the United States.
Very safe Amish community on one side with unique crafts and shops, farm community on other side, county park across the road and woods to the South. Just a 30 minute drive to Baraboo and the famous Wisconsin Dells entertainment and shopping. 45 minutes to Madison night life.

Spend the night in a brewery! We at Brewery Creek have been welcoming guests to our brewpub and luxurious guestrooms since 1998. Built in a restored 1854 mining warehouse, history and charm abound. All of the guest rooms in my home (above the brewery) feature air conditioning and private bathrooms, luxury bedding, linens, and bath amenities, fireplaces, oversized whirlpool bathtubs, and free internet, parking, and cable tv. It occasionally happens that guests spend their entire stay in our brewpub, but if you'd like to get out and explore, we're just steps away from all the cool boutique shops and galleries Mineral Point has to offer!
Each of our rooms offer a little different character and design, but all feature exposed stone walls, a queen size bed, a private bath with whirlpool tub, and a fireplace. This room-type offers a sitting area (with a pull-out sofa) and sleeping area, so you'll have space to spread out. There are three rooms that we consider to be comparable (1,2, and 5). Rooms 1 and 2 are on the second floor and room 5 is on the third. If you have a preference, please note that in the comments and we'll do our best to accommodate. (Sorry, our building does not have an elevator.)
Did we mention you'll be sleeping above a working 15 barrel brewery??? In case that's not enough, you'll be above our pub and steps away from other great food and drink options. We're a couple blocks off Main Street and Shakerag Street, on which many of Mineral Point's best shops and galleries are located.

  • Francesca and Raul are amazing hosts and the property and home are beautifully maintained and welcoming. We were encouraged to check out their trails on the property that Raul created himself for running, and we were lucky to be able to meet both Francesca and Raul and chat with them about their property and adventures in running different races around the country. They were even kind enough to let me borrow a headlamp to use for a nighttime run through the trails! The basement apartment is very nice with a full bathroom, kitchen with all the cookware you’d need, dining area, two bedrooms, and a private entrance. We also enjoyed sitting out on the deck by the fire pit after a nice chilly hike. Anyone who likes some seclusion and are a little adventurous will love this place. Next time we are in the area we definitely know where to go! Thanks guys, you really made our trip worthwhile!

Quaint apartment in historic building in downtown Spring Green. Once a 1930's grocery, building houses a one bedroom suite with full kitchen, living area with sectional, one bedroom with queen bed, one bath. All in the immediate downtown area. Free wi-fi, streaming TV. Private entry at rear of building. Sleeps two, but could sleep additional person on sectional.
Walk to local restaurants, coffee shops, movie theater, shopping, live music. Municipal swimming pool, park, and golf course within walking distance. Within 5 miles of American Players Theatre, Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, The Springs Golf Course, Nature Conservancy, Tower Hill State Park. House on the Rock attraction 15 minute drive. • Nice little place for a small group of 2 or 3. Plenty of information left by owners about the town and upstairs tenants. Upstairs floors make noise when tenants walk around. Didn't bother us except for our last night there when we were trying to go to sleep early. Overall a great place to stay, close to a supermarket, restaurant and other amenities.

  • I've found my new home away from home in Spring Green. I come up every year for a weekend at APT, and I've struggled to find a good place to stay. Spring Green has lots of doily-covered B&Bs that serve breakfast at 7 a.m., lots of dusty old motels that use the Frank Lloyd Wright influence as an excuse never to update anything, and one overpriced (and equally dusty) resort. But this place is modern and clean, and it's right in the heart of downtown Spring Green, just steps away from the shops and restaurants. Parking is easy, check-in is smooth, and the decor is unique and interesting. Highly recommended!

    Ashley2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked in the heart of downtown, you can walk to coffee, shopping, dining and the farmers market right from the front door. Big fridge, hot water, plenty of towels. The queen size bed is very comfortable and they offer outlets and charging ports at the bedside. Good ceiling fans and a quiet location made for great sleep. If you’re coming into town for APT or Taliesin, you’re super close. We hope to stay here again!

    Aaron2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location in downtown Spring Green. Spectacularly clean and all the right amenities fit perfectly into the space. This is a gem you’ll enjoy staying in. Thanks to Shawn and his family for a great stay.

  • This is probably the best Airbnb location in Spring Green. The unit is perfectly clean, charming, comfortable and has everything you need. The hosts were exceptionally responsive to the few minor requests we had. I would recommend their Airbnb to anyone looking for a spot in Spring Green. We were lucky to get a reservation--I'm sure it's a very popular space.

My marvelous stone house looks like it was plucked up in Tuscany and set down in the rolling, "driftless" region of southwest Wisconsin. Your 2nd floor Beatles-themed guest room is comfy; kitchen, bathroom and deck have been recently updated. Large oak and black walnut trees surround the gardens and a 1/2 acre restored prairie attract birds, butterflies, deer, and other wildlife. 30 min. drive to Madison; close to many charming small towns, state & county parks, trails, lakes, and attractions.
Welcome to my historic 1860's home and your colorful, comfy 2nd floor private room with a Beatles theme! The guest room has a full-size Ikea foam mattress with memory foam topper for 1 person or 2 people who can sleep together. If you are a couple traveling with a small child, I can provide a bedroll. There is an adjacent 1/2 bath (nothing fancy, just a toilet and laundry sink); the primary (shared) bathroom with shower is downstairs on the main floor. The stone exterior keeps the house cool in summer; AC in the guest bedroom, and ceiling fans throughout the house. If your family is 3 or 4, check my separate listing for my cool, spacious Art Studio, just steps from the main house. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/7661185 More privacy, a queen and a single bed, and an additional cot available. There is no running water or WIFI in the studio, though. All guests may utilize the primary downstairs bathroom in the house, which has a nice shower and plenty of clean towels. Good coffee or tea and bagels provided before you head out to explore the area. Mt. Horeb has good breakfast spots! Make yourself at home. Enjoy the surroundings during the day and the starry, starry night!
You'll love my charming old home, which some guests have lovingly referred to as a "Hobbit House." My property is a 3-acre parcel of mostly restored prairie and large oak and walnut trees. The 1860's stone house has been lovingly restored since my family purchased it in 1967. The property is just a few miles from Epic, and the charming towns of Mt. Horeb, Blue Mounds, New Glarus, and Spring Green. It is adjacent to 300-acre Donald Park, with miles of hiking and equestrian trails. Numerous bike trails are nearby, and a world-class trout stream is just down the road.

  • Only a short drive from town but I really felt I was in a rural retreat. Tricky to find in the dark but it is a beautiful spot. Nina was welcoming and friendly and her cats were particularly lovely. The house was full of character and would happily stay again

  • What a great place! It’s like staying at a resort condo. Full kitchen, fancy shower with seat and heat lamp. It was great for our family. Loved the recommendations of the barbecue restaurant and bowling alley. We had a great weekend visiting extended family. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Tucked in the woods right past American Players Theater, we are minutes from APT, Taliesen and the Wisconsin River. Our home was custom designed for us by a Taliesin-trained architect. You'll love the 7.5 wooded acres, gardens and great firepit for summer starlight evenings. Our screened in wrap around porch is the best room in the house. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Just a mile from Taliesin, the Wisconsin river, up the road from American Players Theater is a small paradise to enjoy. Share our home, designed by a Taliesin trained architect. Be in the woods, but with no worries, the porch is large and screened or lay in the hammock or laze in the outdoor chairs. Peace and quiet with culture, convenience and fun steps away. Cable, wi-fi, parking.
Our home is nestled in the woods, yet minutes from world class theatre (2 minutes) and architecture (3 minutes). The town of Spring Green is a 5-7 minute drive.
  • Jill and Mike were very friendly, and very flexible when we had to shift the check out time a little. They have a lovely home, beautiful dog, and even offered us a light breakfast in the morning. Super hospitable the whole way. Great experience.

    Dennis2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay when seeing shows at APT!

    Ann2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are staying in the area to visit Taliesin or to experience the APT, Jill and Mike’s place is certainly the best option. They will make you feel at home and share with you all you have to know about the region. Their place is amazing and the house is surrounded by a magnificent garden. The room is also very cosy with a nice bathroom.

    Quentin2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space in private bed & bath. Large screened porch is beautiful and sitting out there drinking our morning coffee while watching the hummingbirds was outstanding. If the weather had been a bit more reliable we would have just walked down to APT.

    Mary2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Mike responded quickly to our questions and their BR with bath is exceedingly comfortable and charming. Their large lot is just gorgeous and private. They've been generous in our use of their large screened-in porch. You’ll like them, their home and Taliesen.

    Penny2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jill was, indeed, a gracious host and if you plan to attend an APT performance, you could not pick a better place to stay.

    Henry2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jill has the most beautiful home and breathtaking surroundings. She and her husband are so hospitable and kind. We have stayed three times and hope to continue staying at this home when we visit APT. Highly recommend this place for all reasons!

    Gina2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Mike are the perfect hosts. They know everything about the area and everyone in the area. We found it an ideal location for exploring Taliesin and APT. A beautiful home and idyllic area.

  • This cabin was wonderful! It was so cozy and the property is beautiful. I would recommend this to everyone!

    Megan2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dan and Loretta’s cabin was the perfect fall getaway (and one of the nicest AirBnB’s I’ve encountered). The cabin is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, with plenty of land to explore. It feels remote but is just a short drive from town. There are plenty of kitchen extras here (sugar, flour, spices, charcoal for the BBQ, etc.) but if you have forgotten something or can’t find something, Wal-mart is a short drive away. Be sure to grab some firewood in town and take advantage of the outdoor fire pit! Also, be on the lookout for wildlife - we saw deer and several wild turkeys meandering through the back yard. I highly recommend this place.

    Laurel2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place as described. Immaculate. Great setting. Great views. Perfect setting near Spring Green (ATP), Taliesin, foodie spot in Viroqua. Loved it. Will return.

    Terry2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is clean, roomy and just very nice. Outdoor wraparound deck and the property is spacious and quiet. Enjoyed the fire pit, privacy and beautiful star-lit sky at night.

    Tammy2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house is breathtaking. We couldn’t help but be awestruck at the view and the house. It was incredibly clean and welcoming. We plan to revisit and highly recommend it to everyone.

  • This cabin was exactly what we wanted for our weekend getaway. It was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and if you do forget something, Walmart is just 6-minutes away. We enjoyed the fire pit each night and were amazed by the star-filled sky. You really cannot go wrong here, we did not want to leave.

Spend your time away in our newly renovated barn. Located 5 minutes from highway 18/151, relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside. 30-45 minutes away from Madison. 30 minutes or less from Dodgeville, Spring Green, Mount Horeb, Mineral Point, and many other small communities. Lands' End, Vortex, Duluth Trading, and Epic are also within a 30 minute driving distance.
Our barn house is located in our barn's haymow. The house is only a few months old but the barn itself is almost 50 years old. Most of the wood used in our barn house are from trees off of our farm. We also have a farmhouse just south of the barn that someone rents from us. We have a firepit, gas grill, and six outdoor chairs. Guest will have to provide their own firewood. We have an LP tank and grill accessories that are located in the house.
Quiet and peaceful. We are fortunate that we are located in the country and hope our guest enjoy the location as much as we do.
  • We loved our stay in the barn. Jim and Toni's daughter, Maggie, was our main contact for the accommodation. The loft was spacious, sparking clean, and had abundant towels and fresh bedding. I also appreciated that there was coffee and a coffee maker available for use. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    Teresa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovey, clean, high quality finishings, everything that you might need inside (e.g. washer/dryer). Kitchen and all of the other spaces are large and comfortable. Toni and Jim respond quickly to questions. Only a short drive to Mineral Point for a cafe and galleries. Driving back to Madison, go through Verona to a cool cafe called n+1. A great get-away option, for sure!

This historic jewel box suite designed by "the pencil in Mr. Wright's hand," boasts exclusive views of Taliesin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. "Beyond the Functional - into the Poetic," reads the 1959 House Beautiful description of Inwood, designed and built by Taliesin apprentice John Howe. Perched high on a rugged hill, this remote and serene space delights guests with its classic organic architecture, modern amenities and location. Come feel the magic of the Driftless Region.
This classic mid-century two bedroom/one bath guest suite will take your breath away. With its unparalleled, sweeping views and gorgeous architectural detail, guests are sure to love overlooking the Taliesin estate in the valley far below. Guests will enjoy their own spacious 1300 sq. ft. suite with a private exterior entrance. This unique guest suite is attached to host's home with a locked interior door to ensure utmost privacy and comfort. Step up into cozy bedroom #1 with its woodland, courtyard and waterfall views. Step down through a narrow stone stairwell into the Master bedroom with unforgettable views. Fabulous interior architectural elements throughout the home will delight the most discerning guests. Your guest suite is furnished throughout with an eclectic mix of modern style mixed with mid-century Frank Lloyd Wright designed furnishings. Entry through the exterior entrance requires good balance and mobility as guests must navigate a stone bridge and stone steps without any hand rails to reach the entry door. As is typical in Frank Lloyd Wright style homes, ceiling heights vary throughout. If you are tall and forget to stoop now and again when moving through the interior space, be forewarned. You will bump your head. The stone stairwell needed to access the lower of the two bedrooms is narrow, about 2 feet wide. The cottage was built in 1953 with an apprentice wing for visiting Taliesin apprentices added in the mid-sixties. The building techniques used at the time could best be described as experimental. Inwood's design was dictated by the landscape. It is perfectly sited in a natural, rustic, rural environment. It is a limit pushing sanctuary for city dwellers. Complex and serene, rustic yet elegant, Inwood requires an adventurous spirit. To reach your private deck, guests must carefully navigate natural limestone steps up the hill above the home. The views are incredible and there is seating for four. While one does not need to be an athlete to enjoy the property, it helps to be sure of foot and reasonably fit. Inwood is not commercial. It was not designed for public access or tours, nor is it a tourist attraction. Rather, It is a private midcentury home, designed by a renowned architect that is now available for guests to enjoy. It is the only home that overlooks Taliesin, located directly across the valley. It is built directly into a hillside, deep in the woods. It is built on rock and surrounded by rocks. The landscape is rugged. Exterior lighting is very limited. One cannot access any part of the home without having to climb up and down natural and uneven rock steps without any handrails. This minimizes access and maximizes privacy as was the architect's intent. All of these factors are purposeful so as to maintain the organic architectural integrity of the space. If you have mobility challenges such as difficulty climbing uneven steps without hand rails, this will not be your best vacation option. If living in the woods is scary to you, please book elsewhere. Do carefully consider all of these factors before booking. The space has a small kitchenette that includes a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tea kettle with service for 4. There is no ice maker. If you want ice, you will need to bring it in your own cooler. There is no stove. There is no oven. There is no dishwasher. There is a propane grill outside. The space has a portable air conditioner that along with fans for air circulation, keeps the space cool during the summer. Due to the architectural details, ceiling/roof lines and age of the structure, there is no duct work in the unit. Guests have reported satisfaction with the portable heating and cooling systems in place. Your suite is surrounded by expansive grounds and woods ensuring utmost privacy. The suite's unique open floor plan consists of the entire original mid-century Howe designed cottage, called by some a "jewel box." Host's 1/2 mile-long winding, uphill driveway connects to a rural county road that will take you to a biking/hiking trail. Walk along the paved trail adjacent to State Highway 23 to the Visitor Center where Taliesin tours begin. Enjoy spectacular scenery along the route, including Unity Chapel, organically farmed fields and the Taliesin estate. There is a secondary vacation rental on site attached to host's home, however, there are no shared walls with this separate guest suite. Each suite has its own private outdoor deck/patio. It is not uncommon for both spaces to be rented. If you want absolute privacy you can rent the entire home. Please check out host's other listing for this opportunity. The home sits on approximately 10 acres of a wooded hillside. Pets are not allowed. Children can get lost. Host's 10 acres adjoins hundreds of acres of other privately owned woods and prairie. Tree frogs may sing you to sleep. Coyotes may howl at the moon in the middle of the night. You will waken to lively bird songs. You will likely not want to leave and wish you had planned for a longer stay.
Inwood offers exceptional privacy while centrally and conveniently located near area attractions. Enjoy a short, scenic 5 minute drive to the Visitor's Center where Taliesin tours begin. American Player's Theater, a preeminent Regional Theater, is a quick 2.5 mile drive. The Village of Spring Green is an easy 10 minute drive from your front door. Eco-tourism and geo-tourism related to the natural gifts of the surrounding Driftless Region are becoming increasingly popular. Wisconsin River recreation beckons from nearby Peck's Landing.

  • We came to Spring Green for a short, fall visit. We had great weather which made for a wonderful weekend. Tia gave us great tips for the area and we were able to enjoy the fresh air and spectacular views from the house. Lots of nature to be enjoyed - deer, eagles and a beautiful sunsets. The house was amazing and a great study in the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Would recommend this place to others.

  • The house is an architectural gem and fits in wonderfully with the Taliesin story. The views and the house itself are spectacular. There is not a better location to be had if you are interested in touring Taliesin, attending a play at APT or walking through the House on the Rock. We enjoyed a wonderful three days in the area and would gladly stay here again if we come through the area.

Come stay in a real tiny house with a super comfy memory foam full-size bed, sitting/dining area, and its own kitchenette. Think of this as the ultimate "glamping" experience. A private bathroom with an oversized shower is just a few steps across your private brick patio in the adjacent studio building. Great for couples or solo adventurers.
Welcome to our new addition to Still Point, perfect for one or two people. With its comfy memory foam full-size bed, sitting/dining area, and kitchenette, you will have everything you need in a cozy, yet surprisingly open space. Just steps across your brick patio is our studio which houses a private full bathroom. Actually inspired by our 1963 Friendship Vacationaire vintage canned ham travel trailer, we were able to design and build in only 108 square feet everything you need for luxury comfort in a tiny space: a place to sleep, to sit, to eat, and to prepare meals. As a three seasons building, during non-freezing weather it has running cold water to a small double sink. The kitchenette also features a refrigerator, a high quality double burner hot plate, fresh well water for drinking, stainless steel counter, cookware, utensils, French press coffee maker, and charming vintage style dinnerware. The kitchen makes it easy to prepare simple meals, while just steps away onto the main house deck is a gas grill. We ask that you not cook potentially messy, smelly, or splattering foods like bacon or fish in such a small space (…lessons we learned the hard way in our camper). For your comfort in the building there are both a space heater and air conditioner to moderate temperature extremes. There is also a quiet variable speed exhaust fan to pull fresh cool air through open windows. The bedside lighting and chandelier are fully dimmable, and the patio side windows have privacy shades. Although there is limited WiFi (no streaming because we have monthly data limits on our satellite Internet service), you will appreciate the built-in USB chargers for cell phones and other devices. Even though it may be tiny, there is hanging space on clothes hooks, cubbies to store dry food and personal items, and room under the bed for a suitcase or bag. There is also plenty of space in the large studio bathroom for some of your personal items. You will enjoy the nearby flower and veggie gardens and lounging on your own patio away from the larger deck near the main house. Or, you may want to join us or other guests in those areas, including the campfire circle. Certainly, you will want to experience the outdoor shower near the upper gardens and deck (…an often praised feature by our guests). The view beyond the south windows is the head of one of our two small trails, so nice to explore for their peacefulness. Whether springtime for the migrating birds and flowering redbud trees, early summer for the blackcap wild raspberries, the late summer wildflowers, or the autumn colors, there is always natural beauty just outside your door. You will notice our Tiny House pricing is considerably more affordable than our main rental at Still Point Country Retreat. And, especially if you rent it as a package with friends or family, there are discount advantages. If you rent the main apartment and want to add the Tiny House, we will discount the latter by 25%. And, if you want to rent the main apartment, but prefer to have exclusive privacy, we will block the Tiny House from other renters if you pay us 50% of its rental fee. You need to request these discounts in your inquiry and we will return with a "special offer" reflecting those discounts. You may also find us by searching the Web with our name, Still Point Country Retreat. Basically the same info, but we think prettier. We want to book exclusively through Airbnb because there is insurance that protects both parties. There is a link on our website directly to this listing.
Primrose Township is one of the most rural parts of Dane County, Wisconsin, the same county that is home to the well know city of Madison. Surrounded by rolling farmland, we are mostly farms and woods here. Popular with bicyclists and trout fishermen, but not a place for shopping since there is not a single retail establishment in the entire 36 square miles. However, with the small towns of New Glarus, Mt. Horeb, Verona, and even MIneral Point and Spring Green all within a relatively short drive, there are plenty of things to do, restaurants, etc. And, Madison is only 30 minutes away...a city to satisfy virtually any cosmopolitan desire.
  • Joe you were an amazing host...Your home is a really sincer and tasteful reflection of your travels and master crafstmanship of woodworking and interior design. Jennifer2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Tiny House during our vacation was a perfect fit! Located close to everything we were in the area to see. The property itself was beautiful, peaceful, and full of amenities. And to top it off, the Tiny House was absolutely adorable!!! Only wish we had more free time so we could fully utilize the property and chat with Kathi & Joe more as they were a treat to meet.

    Jodi2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Kathi and Joe’s place is a little slice of heaven in the heart of rural Wisconsin!

    Delaney2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Tiny House was everything we imagined and more. It was like walking into a fairytale. It is a place of tranquility where you can escape the everyday chaos and renew your soul. Joe and Kathi were gracious and kind hosts. We are already making plans to return on the summer.

    Barb2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot say enough great things about this one-of-a-kind stay. The small house is amazing - so cozy and comfortable with incredible amenities and thoughtful touches. Joe and Kathi are amazing guests who know so much about the surrounding area. Will definitely come back here 5/5

    Michael2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute DREAM. Kathi and Joe were amazing hosts and communicated with me before my stay so I knew exactly what to expect. It was just what this tired mom needed to refresh and recharge. Reading on the patio was so serene and the night sky was beautiful! The tiny house has everything I needed. The bathroom was more than adequate and really not far- less than I have to walk in my own house! If you are on the fence JUST BOOK IT, you won’t regret it!

Welcome to the Wisconsin River! Our 1750 sq. ft. cozy riverside chalet features 300 feet of river frontage, a master bedroom in the loft, a deck overlooking the river, bunk beds downstairs, a full kitchen, cozy propane fireplace, an outdoor firepit, and a natural spring running through the yard. Set on one acre, the property offers stunning views from just about every room in the house as well as easy access to the river. We disinfect entire cabin between each guest.
Rest and relax, go fishing, launch a canoe, bird watch, and just watch the river flow by. This rustic chalet is the perfect spot to get away from it all, in an intimate and private setting, yet easily accessible to Muscoda (3.5 miles) and Spring Green (18 miles)! The surrounding area offers endless possibilities for exploration and adventure. An 18-mile drive brings you to the restaurants and culture of Spring Green, where you can tour Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, watch a play at American Players Theater, catch live music at several venues or go shopping in the quaint shops. Whether you stay close to home or get out and about, you will no doubt love your stay in beautiful Southwest Wisconsin.
The cabin is located on HWY 60, the first to be designated a Scenic Byway in Wisconsin. The road takes you along the Lower Wisconsin Riverway, a 92-mile run of the Wisconsin River that goes from Prairie du Sac to the confluence of the Mississippi River! It represents one of the longest stretches of free flowing river remaining in the Midwest! Information on canoe rentals, river maps, and the Lower Wisconsin Riverway can be found here: (Website hidden by Airbnb)
  • This place is absolutely amazing. The view is fantastic, the location is perfect, and the house is just so nice. We spent the whole weekend relaxing on the balcony, fishing and sitting around a bonfire. The perfect weekend away, will 100% be back.

  • Awesome place with gorgeous views.

    Danielle2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was amazing!! The cabin is right off the Wisconsin River. Sandy has everything and more in the cabin to accommodate what you will need for your stay.. If your looking for a place to get away I would highly recommend this place , you will not be disappointed! My boyfriend and I and his son did a lot of fishing and a lot of bonfires .. This cabin was what we needed to just get away and forget about everything else going on right now in the world!!! This is a must on your list of places to stay !!!

    Lori2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was hands down one of the best places I've stayed using airbnb... and I have stayed in many! Sandy and her husband were excellent hosts! They were upper responsive, gave us local suggestions, and even baked us some of the BEST cookies we have ever had! The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the ambiance was exactly what we were looking for! This would be the perfect place to go for a relaxing weekend away, or an adult friend/family gathering! It is right on the Wisconsin river so I would be nervous bringing small children, but man... the sunsets were unreal! We will definitely be back!

    Chelsi2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very warm and comfy. The view is fantastic. We had all the amenities we needed to snuggle in for a couple of cold, soggy days. We were able to cook meals, play board games (some provided), watch movies (even used the DVD player for some Redbox rentals) and cuddle up in front of the fireplace. Sandy is a great hostess, she was very sweet to meet us upon arrival and give us the ins and outs of the cabin. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back again!

    Misty2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was beyond my expectations! Everything about it was beautiful but the view was the best part! Sandy was also a great host and very quick with the responses, she also made the best pumpkin bread ever!!

My place sits on 2.5 acres and is on the TRAIL - FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT TRAIL, close to Taliesin - Frank Lloyd Wright's architect house, downtown, bike trails, state parks, hiking, restaurants and dining, nightlife, Entertainment venues, Wisconsin River. You’ll love my place because of the architectural organic feature design style, the outdoors space, the ambiance, the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
You have a private entry to your own room, available just you for the entire stay; private bathroom, a reading chair and a dining table and chairs. You can explore all amenities provided on the property during your stay. You also should enjoy a patio seating area right by your room.
Our country setting is a great attraction; there is always so much to do in the area; shopping, dinning, cultural events, hiking, canoeing, biking, cross country ski; we are surrounded by a few wineries, art galleries, tea rooms, shops, book stores, ETC.
  • Carolina’s place was fantastic and she is an excellent host! Highly recommend! Thanks Carolina!!

    Jason2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great home base for the multitude of activities in the area. This place is a great value and Carolina was wonderful!

  • The Usonian is a great place to stay in the Spring Green area.

    Kathryn2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The best thing about staying here was the local guiding by Carolina. She made our whole weekend an adventure with great advice. The Usonian itself is quiet, comfortable and cozy. The style is a little different but everything is well kept and lovely. Come in with an open mind and you'll have an excellent stay.

    Zoe2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Like any motel, you check in the front desk, get your key, and park in front of your room. Carolina provides a welcoming attitude and a clean, comfortable room. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling near the area.

    Cody2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a very nice stay. Carolina was very hospitable. The room was clean, cozy and a bit more stylish than staying in a chain hotel.

    Nick2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The UI is a wonderful place to stay with a great host. It is near spring green which makes it a quick travel to a great breakfast at the General Store as well as a strip of vendors down the street. Housekeeping is great as they do great efforts to keep their rooms clean. It is an historic place so don't expect it to be very modern. The only thing I can think of is how I'll come back to this place if I'm ever in the area. I love the area and how short of a drive it is to Mineral Point and Dodgeville. Highly recommend! Great TV for multiple devices too!

    Noah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Usonian Inn is a lovingly updated classic motel with lovely details of design. It is very cozy, with easy entry and a fairly accessible bathroom (walk-in shower, no tub). Beautiful view over a meadow, but fronts on busy Hwy 14. Even so, it was sturdy and quiet. We will definitely return.

TB2 is an updated apartment located in the lower level of a house. Featuring a private entrance and a fully equipped kitchen.
TB2 is walking distance from downtown Spring Green and a short drive away to the most popular sights in the area.
TB2 is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a park nearby.
  • If you need a little more space than a single room or have an extended stay in town, do consider the 2 bedroom apartment. Its open living space has a kitchen with everything you need whether it's coffee first thing in the morning, reheating last night's "to go" box for lunch or fixing a meal. A great option in a lovely home with great hosts!

    Tori2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for Frank Lloyd Wright fans, close to downtown Spring Green. Spotless apartment in the basement with its own entrance, open kitchen/dining room with lots of space, big table for card games and talk/relaxing. No television, but we didn't care about that. Very friendly host. Incredible Halloween decorations.

    Michael2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with friends in the apartment beneath the B&B and I cannot say enough good things about this place or these hosts. It was a Halloween dream come true. The home is beautiful and quirky and comfortable, but the best part was the hospitality. Everything was served with a personal touch. The owners very clearly love what they do and work hard to make it special. We opted for the Russian tea hour and were greeted with delicious tea and a beautiful spread shortly after we arrived. Breakfast was just incredible, do NOT miss! They gave us great recommendations for spots in the area and we had a ball. We'll be back to see how the home changes with the seasons and experience the themed rooms. Thank you again!

    Briette2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Large, comfortable space with eclectic a decorations. This 2-bedroom apartment was perfect for my group of four friends. Friendly hosts in the main house, and nice that there's a private entrance from the back. We'll definitely consider returning next time we're in Spring Green.

    Julian2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • It’s always a pleasure to stay here and we intend to do so anytime we’re in Spring Green. Absolutely unique and totally comfortable.

    Ben2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • A real gem of a place right in the center of town. Daniel and Irina are amazing hosts. The best breakfast I’ve had in a long time.

    Mike2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • So enjoyed our stay and the apartment deco!!! Clean, and the best of anything!!

    Nancy2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Steampunk Manor really exceeded all of our expectations. Irina was extremely welcoming and helpful. We booked the apartment space and it had just enough space for 5 guests with all of the amenities, cutlery, etc. we needed. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The porch is such a delight, especially at night, we spent so much time just talking and taking in the decor and lighting. It is conveniently located within walking distance from the shops and cafes of Spring Green as well as a short drive to Taliesin and House on the Rock. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and quixotic. This stone Miners’ Cottage has been lived in continuously since it was built around 1836. Andrew Jackson was still President when Cornish stone masons laid these walls. Now it is yours to enjoy!
The Miner's Cottage, owned by the Wisconsin State Historical Society (and rented out by Brewery Creek) has been carefully maintained to preserve its historical essence while providing modern creature comforts we've become accustomed to (e.g., heat, AC, running water, internet, television, etc.). The unit features a kitchen, queen-size bed, wing back chairs, sofa-bed, fireplace, and enough charm and innate antiquity to make you never want to leave. Our guests usually choose the Miner's cottage when they need time away. It's popular for long celebratory weekends (especially birthdays ending in zero and anniversaries) and temporary lodging.
Forget about being "near" history, with the Miner's Cottage, you'll be living it. Nevertheless, there is lots around to see and do, including galleries, studios, and Shake Rag Alley. Plenty of food and drink options are within walking distance, too.

Creative souls love my marvelous studio retreat, a delightful space that features tall ceilings and an open design--giving it a loft feel with an expansive view of a picturesque barn, pasture, and wooded hills. This amazing, spacious country getaway has no running water, but it's just a quick walk across the yard to the main house (shared) bathroom. Come create, relax, and renew here! Well-behaved pets are welcome ($10/night per pet). During your absence, pets must be kenneled.
The studio is a high-ceiling, airy building nestled under huge old walnut and oak trees. Warm-colored fabric, rugs, furniture, and indirect lighting make a comfy space to hang out and relax, read, nap, or roll out a yoga mat. Kitchenette, board games and electric piano available for your enjoyment! You won't hear much traffic noise here. It's blissfully peaceful! There is a mini-fridge, toaster, small microwave, dishes, cups, and flatware. Let us know if you want to cook in the main house kitchen or use the grill on the deck. The space has NO RUNNING WATER, so guests come to the house (a 10-second walk) for easy 24-hour access to the house (shared) bathroom & shower, kitchen, and large shade-covered deck. The studio has a "Luggable Loo" portable toilet if you're too sleepy to get to the house! There is WIFI internet access in the studio. Bring your music and your way to play it! Please, no candles or incense in the studio. Firearms are not allowed on the property.
This is the Driftless ( unglaciated) part of Wisconsin, with scenic rolling hills and farmland, and pastures dotted with cows. My property is a 3-acre parcel of mostly restored prairie and large oak and walnut trees. The 1860's stone house has been lovingly restored since my family purchased it in 1967. The studio was built in 2002. The upper level is used for storage, and the entire downstairs is for guests. Large sliding glass doors along the south wall provide bucolic views of the adjacent horse pasture and my neighbor's historic farm. There is much to see and do in the area! Charming Mt. Horeb is a 10-minute drive (great coffee shop, food, wine and beer, and plenty of shops). For beer fans, New Glarus Brewery and Wisconsin Brewing Company are 20 minutes away. Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin and American Players Theater (APT) and the Wisconsin River are at nearby Spring Green. State and county parks abound, bike trails, swimming holes, skiing, and lots of rivers for paddling. And fabulous Madison is an easy 30-minute drive.
  • Nina is a welcoming and gracious host. The studio was immaculately clean and super cozy. We could not have asked for a better place to spend the weekend away from the city!

    Marla2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nina is an amazing hostess. She will make sure you have everything you need. Her studio is truly a special place. Even though the location is ideal for its proximity to Madison and other towns it is really just a great spot to unwind for a few days and enjoy nature.

    Molly2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 3 nights in Nina's space and we enjoyed every second. One of the days, we were snowed in and unable to make it to a restaurant or store. Nina kindly warmed up chili and made a loaf of delicious cornbread to share with us! We enjoyed being there so much. There are board games, books and a gorgeous backdrop to look at through the window. Lots of different birds come to the feeder right outside of the sliding glass doors. We enjoyed watching them from bed and the couch. Pretty fairy lights hang above the bed, giving the space a magical ambiance. There is no coffee maker IN the space, however, Nina has delicious coffee that was ready for us each morning in the main house, which is just a few steps away. The shared bathroom was clean, spacious and always available. Nina herself, is a very kind person and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her and meeting her three, very cute and friendly cats. I highly recommend staying in this eclectic, unique and beautiful space.

    Shawna2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was incredibly calming and relaxing. If you need a break from the sounds of a busy city or town then this place is a great get away. It was cozy as can be and soooooooo coool. From the views, to the studio, and even the main house are all works of art. 11/10 enjoyed the experience and Nina provided everything we could ever need and more!

    Austin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nina's art studio was a fantastic and comforting place to stay. The artistic touches are very welcoming and the scenery is beautiful. Her cats are ultra friendly. The location is well secluded and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

    Karl2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a great place to either getaway for a weekend, like I did, or just looking for a place to focus on your art/projects without distractions, Nina’s studio is the place you want. The great wide view with all the windows is so peaceful and inspirational. Ninas hospitality was way more than I expected with my first Airbnb. She made sure I had everything I needed when a bad winter storm hit and cancelled all my plans. It was amazing. I am already trying to plan my next visit. Thank you Nina!

    Angela2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hideaway in the winter. Nina is incredible, and she will make sure you have a great stay.

    Matt2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy space! Nina was a very hospitable and friendly host and thought of some nice details like including slippers. The room has a little kitchenette and is a very short distance from the house with additional amenities (and very friendly cats!). Nice view from the room and we enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeder from bed in the morning. Conveniently located across the street from Donald County Park, which has 11 miles of trails to explore. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again
