A cozy, private and romantic getaway in the heart of western Sonoma County!
We welcome you to beautiful Sonoma County and Sebastopol, California. Land of plenty, and famous for our once prosperous Gravenstein apples and our overflowing vineyards. Western Sonoma County has a wealth of both natural beauty and intriguing activity. Our separate and private guest cottage is a cozy, rustic-chic space that will make you feel miles away from the business of everyday life. It has a four poster queen size bed and a living room area with a flat screen TV, DVD player, microwave and mini refrigerator. Coffee maker with local organic Taylor-Made coffee provided, as well as herb and black teas, and popcorn for your movie watching pleasure. Also full bath with sunken tub and sky lights. Please be aware that if you have mobility issues, this may not be the best place for you, as there is a step up to the bed, as well as a step up to the tub. Sit under the stars on the back deck and watch the moon rise above you in this serene country setting. We have an acre to roam with a stream in the winter months and a wood bridge that crosses it. Lots of lemon, apple, persimmon and oak trees. Downtown Sebastopol is 2 miles away with numerous delicious restaurants, a fabulous indie movie theater, thrift stores, antique shops, music venues and brew pubs. Now open is the brand new Barlow Center. A mecca of food, drink and the best local wines and coffee houses you'll find anywhere. We provide names and addresses of our favorite places for you. We are also available to answer any questions you have about our lovely piece of California. We are happy to share, and are dedicated to the Airbnb way of travel and adventure. There is even an old train depot with a train car converted into a wine bar. A truly eclectic, artistic and diverse community awaits you in Sebastopol California and you are only 20 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Ocean & Bodega Bay. Come stay in the Lemon Moon Cottage and relax and refresh. Note: We will be changing our weekend bookings to a 2 night minimum starting January 1, 2018. There is not a way to add this to our availability page until right before the date. Thanks for your understanding! Cheers, Robin and Michelle
Our neighborhood is rural, quiet, and close to activities and restaurants in downtown Sebastopol and beyond.
  • Michelle and Robin's place was so cozy! Really great to have your own little backyard with big, beautiful trees and a little porch to relax on. The bathtub with a large sun roof was great to relax in as well. Overall great stay!

  • What a lovely space. I also appreciated that the windows were open when we arrived. Small details that help us to see they're taking precautions with cleanliness and protecting immunity.

  • Truly remarkable and amazing, a slice of heaven or in this case a lemon bar of paradise. Really appreciated our time, feeling refreshed, relaxed and quite happy. Much needed and grateful to have had the opportunity to share such a sanctuary. Thank you for your hospitality!

  • This is a cozy wooded cabin space. Many extra items made the stay like being at home. The wine and lemon bars, coffee and cream, and many extra amenities made our stay even nicer.

  • Very cute little place, close to lots in Sebastopol. And the bed was amazing! The electric blanket and electric fireplace were very nice on a cold and windy night.

  • The place was amazing. I only put a bit better than expected because it was so highly rated I expected it to be pretty nice and it didn’t disappoint at all. We had a great time and really enjoyed the bottle of wine that we were met w as well as the lemon tarts. I can’t say enough about this place! Thanks again for the hospitality! I recommend this place to anyone looking in the area!

  • Lemon Moon cottage is such a welcoming serene place to stay ! There are so many thoughtful details to make it magical . The bed was comfy, the heater was great when it got cold in the evenings, the deck was the perfect place to see the stars come out at night and also perfect to practice yoga, drink tea and see the sunrise . Close enough to easily get to town and far enough away to fall asleep to crickets and frogs.

  • We had a great time in Sebastopol and enjoyed the cozy cottage. Hosts were super sweet and left a couple surprises for us which made our visit memorable. It was really great waking up and having a cup of coffee overlooking the creek. Perfect location to explore the area!

Shangrila has gotten even better. My son, Gino, & his sweet little dog, Frida, are cohosting with me. Gino is very knowledgable about the many hiking trails in the area. The delightful Occidental Bohemian Farmers Market runs Fri. evenings from the end of June till the end of Oct. If you long to get your hands dirty, but don't have a garden, we'll share ours. There's always something to do!
Your spacious room overlooks a redwood forest with a meadow & wooded hills beyond. You may think you want to visit Sonoma County vineyards, beaches, or the Russian River, but once you're here, you may not want to leave. The room is quiet. You have your own bathroom called "The Mexi" because of Mexican tiles & mementos of travels in that country. There is safe, off street parking. You are within walking distance of the picturesque village of Occidental where there are good restaurants, gift shops, & tennis courts. People also love to ride bicycles around here even tho the roads are narrow, curvy, & steep. We are early risers & will have coffee ready by 7:00 with a gourmet continental breakfast consisting of home pressed organic apple juice, homegrown organic seasonal fruits, homemade jam & a special sweet. We are well situated as a stopover, but we could also be a destination. We have lawn Bocce ball & horse shoes. For rest after those exertions, there are hammocks in the redwoods. There is such good bird watching here that the local Audubon stops here during their Xmas bird count. When the weather isn't conducive to outside time, there is a fireplace in the living room. We love to share this beautiful place. Come on over!
Shangrila is in a quiet, pretty neighborhood in Occidental.
  • Mary has a lovely place nestled in the redwoods at the end of a quiet road. The host was warm and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's house is in a great location to see the Redwoods & also the coast. The bedroom & bathroom were clean & very comfortable, Mary, Gino & Freida were very welcoming, we also had time to sit out the back amongst the redwoods around their home. The beds were very comfortable, towels left to use & a kettle & mugs for tea...which is a great touch for the British like us that take teabags everywhere we go!! Occidental is a 5 minute drive & a lovely little town with some shops & restaurants for brunch/lunch (we ate in Howards) or dinner (Union Hotel Restaurant & Barley & Hops). The Redwoods in Armstrong Park are amazing & if you are fit enough take a hike on one of the Ridge paths, ensure you have a couple of bottles of water each, good shoes & walking poles if needed as it can get steep...but the views at the top are great.

  • My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Mary's. Mary and her son Gino (and his dog Frida) are wonderful hosts, super accommodating and personable. She made coffee cake for breakfast and there is always fresh fruit available. They told us about the local farmers market in Occidental and the Grove of Old Trees (a must-do easy walk). Her home is lovely -- I'd say a work of art -- in the most gorgeous setting in the redwoods. Every room has skylights to enjoy the towering redwoods. Idyllic. A wedding brought us to the area for the weekend, but if time permitted, I could have spent the days in a hammock under the trees and playing with Frida. I'm sorry we had to bug out so early Sunday morning for our long drive back to LA and miss saying goodbye. I love that Mary calls it "Shangrila," because it is!

    Jane2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is an excellent host. Enjoyed our time there.

  • A lovely getaway from the normal hustle and bustle. Love the trees and atmosphere!

    Jen2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was helpful, kind, generous and well connected in her community. Not to mention her home is beautiful, well kept and has an organic, wholesome feel. Mary made us feel welcome in her home and we are so happy we stumbled upon Shangrila! Would stay there again.

Your own wine country cottage with its own bath and kitchen located on a small farm. The cottage is private, but we are available to answer any questions. The cottage has it's own yard and garden. The parking is right outside the cottage with no trails or steps to get to it. The cottage overlooks the farm and a eucalyptus grove. You may see our mini-horse "Comanche", chickens, a sheep or two meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern rustic with open ceilings and a Vermont Castings vented gas fireplace. A flick of the switch and "voila" a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. There is also full-size organic wool and cotton coil futon sofa that sleeps two. We provide only the highest quality cotton towels and bedding. The guests really appreciate it. And, you can cook there. We have 2 burner stove and small convection oven, lots of pots, pans, etc. We'd be happy to share our farm fresh eggs with you. They're so much better than store bought! The guests have exclusive use of a private yard, with seating. There is a small garden attached where they can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad or whatever else may be in season. While we have dogs, cats and farm animals on the property no animals are allowed in the cottage. Guests may not bring pets either. This ensures the cottage stays clean and allergen-free. We interact with guests as much as necessary for the guests. We assume people like their privacy, but we also love to meet people and show them around the farm if interested. We tend to let the guests determine how much interaction they want with us. We know the area well and are available to answer any questions. We also love to share our farm fresh goodies, like fresh eggs, veggies or fruit from our trees. Our farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas Tree Farms, and vineyards. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches of Bodega Bay taking beautiful back roads right from our neighborhood. There are three main wine tasting routes nearby. For chardonnays and pinot noirs you can stay right in our appellation, the Russian River Valley, and Olivet Road to River Rd. Healdsburg is Dry Creek and Alexander Valley for merlots, zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon. All of these and more are nearby. Right in Sebastopol there is Iron Horse Vineyards, Lynmar, Balletto, Russian River Vineyards, Dutton Family Wines and many more. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transportation in our rural neighborhood. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy bohemian feel, and many are dedicated to the slow food movement. Neighbors regularly trade their bounties with each other, such as milk, honey, eggs and veggies. There is also the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay (we provide beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. upon request), and great swimming and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through beautiful redwoods at Armstrong Woods. And of course visit countless wineries and gourmet restaurants. We can fill you in on our favorite spots.

  • Cosy, clean and very well equipped little cottage. Easy access to downtown Sebastopol but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful nature of the neighborhood and nighttime sky full of stars. Very comfortable bed too. Mary has been very responsive during our stay. We look forward to coming back.

  • Mary's cottage is idyllic. My partner and I came up for a quiet romantic getaway from our home in the bay. The cottage is perfect sized for 2. We enjoyed lazy afternoons between outings playing board games at the table and watching the stars at night on the swing set. The farm animals nearby were utterly charming and never woke us and check-in and out we're seemless. Mary's recommendations were comprehensive. This is a great little place if you want to explore Sebastopol and the Sonoma coast. Would love to stay again!

  • Mary & Bruce had been wonderful & gracious hosts on their beautiful property. They even provided us with farm fresh eggs that tasted absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again.

  • Perfect little cottage for our weekend in Sebastopol.

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my relaxing stay at Mary’s cottage. The space was quiet and squeaky clean. The bed; sheets, and comforter were so soft and comfortable, it was a chilly day but the gas fireplace kept it plenty warm. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout. We especially liked the tall peaked ceiling with barn lantern.

A rustic, cozy cottage nestled in the majestic redwoods of Sonoma county makes the perfect weekend getaway or month retreat. Relax in 2 acres of landscaped garden or drive to convenient restaurants, the ocean, or San Francisco.
This is perfect for the person/persons who love nature. It is a cozy converted chicken coop with an added deck and outdoor shower. The fridge, microwave and hot plate make it easy to stay in although the adorable town of Occidental with its delicious restaurants are fun.
This is a no through road so it is very quiet. And even though the houses are far apart, the neighbors are close and watch out for each other. There is a beautiful walking path available to the neighborhood.
  • I’ve almost never stayed at Airbnb, and towards the end of my trip thought to myself “I wish this was more than just a vacation spot”. This was the case in Josephine’s place I was absolutely astounded by everything about the stay. The forest garden, stretching over two acres and designed by hand over 20 years, genuinely feels like a paradise out of a fantasy film. The location radiates positive, intentional mindfulness. You must stay here.

    Luke2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this beautiful bnb! Pictures dont do it justice. We felt like we had an entire redwood forest to ourselves. Josephine was a wonderful host too! Highly recommended

    Wes2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • There was a fat cat named Carl. He is the bestest boy. We let him in the cabin with us at night and he cuddled and purred with happiness. Best cabin greeter there ever was. Ziggy (the hosts dog) was also a great greeter at the fence gate when we arrived.

    Siarra2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the relaxing and quiet atmosphere at Jo's cabin. The hot tub was a nice touch that we definitely took advantage of. If you are looking for a get away from the busy every day life in the city this is the place to go!

    Kelsey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stepping onto Josephines property you can immediately feel how special it is. She greeted us with warmth and gave us a tour and history of the property. She has everything you need to be comfortable for your stay. The sauna and hot tub are such a sweet treat, especially in the morning as the sun comes up. The property is large with plenty of well kept trails and places to relax, so be sure to explore. The property is also close to great beaches, highly recommend. Another added bonus is that you are allowed to bring your dog! Our dog loved her property even more than us - she woke up early explored every inch possible & loved Josephine’s pup, Ziggy. Very thankful that Josephine has opened up her space to guests. If you are looking for a relaxing time in the woods, this is it.

    Ryan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet, cozy place is a gem. Tucked away into the most peaceful property. Josephine is a remarkable host. If you have the chance to stay here, take it!

    Jeremy2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was definitely beautiful. She has so much land to explore and discover. Everything was very clean for mostly being outside, and inside was very homey and warm. The compost toilet was easy to use. The sauna was definitely awesome to use. The hot tub was nice, even being attached to Josephine’s deck instead of the one you’re staying at, but was definitely a treat to be in. Peaceful and very relaxing!

    Sophia2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is as described. Nestled in the middle of the tall redwood, you truly could unwind. I'd label this has glamping with more glamour than camping. The sauna/shower/hottub combination was better than any hotel could offer. The location was remote and quiet surrounded by beautiful views, there was a fireplace to keep you warm and it was accompanied by a compost toilet (true camping style ). We weren't too familiar with using the fireplace or the compost toilet but josephine stopped by and gave us all the information we needed! Check in check out was smooth. Highly recommend!

  • A fantastic stay for those looking to disconnect from the modern world. This space is humble, yet beautiful. Carolyn was a great host and provided many great local tips. You'll enjoy waking up to wild turkey calls and walking around the property, exploring the waterfall and star gazing hut.

    Meghan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn and Gary have a beautiful property that allows you to escape and relax in peace. A hot tub overlooking the mountains, a bridge through the woods to a stargazing spot, a cozy cottage with a wood burning stove...we couldn’t have asked for more. Carolyn and Gary were quick to respond to any question we had and were absolutely fantastic hosts. Hope to stay again soon!

    Sarah2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! Falling asleep under the stars and listening to the rain in Carolyn’s place was magical. It was the perfect escape for a couple. There is so much exploring to do on their property alone that I’ll definitely be back.

  • The Tree House experience exceeded our expectations. The hosts were amazing as was the Star House and the tension bridge we crossed to get it. We were there during the Sonoma fires and our hosts kept us updated throughout. We will definitely be back..

    Saydie2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a dream! It's a treehouse but with all the modern comforts -- we had a/c, a gorgeous bath and shower, a working toilet. This really was the perfect balance for how I wanted to be in nature and how my husband needed to have his "comforts" available. This place is magical and if you're looking to disconnect for a few days in a beautiful and thoughtful setting, this is it! Carolyn and Gary were very responsive and friendly -- thank you for creating this space and sharing this beautiful treat with us!

Charming cabin right on the Creek: Have a dog? Please let us know! 2-bedrooms plus a loft (you have to climb a ladder to the loft), wood burning stove & windows everywhere! Well-equipped kitchen, TV, and trees all around. Huge deck overlooking the Creek: sit, sip, listen, relax - large table for alfresco dining. Nightly rates $95 to $300 depending on the dates. 12% Sonoma County Occupancy Tax will be added by AirBnB and remitted to the County.
Creekside pricing is for four guests. Each additional guest, up to seven total, is $25 per person each day. DOGS: We gladly consider accepting well-behaved dogs at Creekside. We ask for an additional cleaning fee of $50 per stay when dogs visit. Here are the house rules for dogs: no matter how tidy, dogs make for more work for our housekeeper so we pay her more when there's a dog staying with us. NOTE: there is a $75 ADDITIONAL pet cleaning fee if any of the following dog rules are not fully followed: 1. ***DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON FURNITURE OR ON/IN THE BEDS*** This is the biggest challenge we have and we don't have any exceptions to this rule. 2. if your dog barks when left alone, then do not leave the dog alone at the cabin. we have neighbors who can hear the barking and they sure let us know when they hear barking. 3. if your dog is totally chill when being left alone and does NOT bark, you must still always leave in his/her crate if you go out. 4. there are doggie gates on the deck so that you can secure the two deck staircases; then your dog may walk freely on the deck. 5. always pick-up after your dog and throw away the poop bags directly into the trash bin outside. even if the dog poops out-of-the-way, it must be picked up. 6. at the end of your stay, please thoroughly sweep the entire cabin with the broom & dustpan kept in the laundry room. please then dispose of all the fur/hair, etc. in the trash bin outside. thank you for helping to make it possible for us to continue hosting dogs up at Creekside. please remember, and so that there are no misunderstandings or surprises, if our housekeeper finds that all the fur is not swept up or if there is any fur on the beds or furniture, we will apply the ADDITIONAL $75 pet cleaning fee. I hate to be so blunt, but we have been having some real challenges with some guests ignoring the dog house rules. thank you for your understanding. Creekside has a wonderful open floor plan with the living room, dining area, and kitchen in a large L-shape; 832 sq. ft. total. There are doors and windows EVERYWHERE. You can head out to the deck from either the kitchen or the dining room. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full size bed, plus a loft above the living room that has a full size bed (you can see the ladder to the loft in the pictures; (PLEASE NOTE THAT IT ISN'T EASY FOR EVERYONE TO CLIMB THE LADDER TO THE LOFT). WE ARE ON A DELICATE SEPTIC SYSTEM. PLEASE READ THE INFO ON THE SYSTEM IN THE HOUSE INFO BOOK ON THE DESK IN THE LIVING ROOM. Dutch Bill Creek is a stone's throw away from the deck; you can hear the creek running from the bedrooms. The creek is seasonal, and, depending on the rainfall, goes dry from around June to October. There is a 40" HD television and we have cable-tv which includes ON-Demand programming as well as streaming Netflix, Spotify, and more. Wherever possible, we use high-efficiency florescent lights. These lights sometimes take a moment to illuminate. We do have back-up light bulbs on the top shelf of the closet in the small bedroom.
We are right on Dutch Bill Creek, a tributary of the famed Russian River. World Class Russian River Valley Wineries are within a short drive on Monte Rio, as are the towns of Occidental and Jenner, and the Pacific Coast. Monte Rio itself is a very quiet town four miles past Guerneville. There are a handful of shops and restaurants in Monte Rio, proper; including a movie theater in a barn - yes, a barn. Guerneville, just five minutes away, has plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, markets (including a 24-hour Safeway), banks, gas stations, and more. Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is right there as well. At certain times, such a holidays, long weekends, or Russian River event weeks, there may be a longer minimum stay. We will certainly tell you the options available upon receiving your request.
  • Peter's place is just as nice as it looks in the listing. It's a fantastic place to stay in Sonoma county and is great for relaxing, with its wood burning stove and the creekside patio. Love the French doors looking out onto the patio too. The bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable and the bedding was really soft and high quality. Love the stylish and high quality decor. The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking, and I appreciated having multiple options for making coffee (I like to use the pour over). Location is great since it's close to restaurants and wineries as well as the Armstrong Redwood Forest, which has great hiking trails. Can't recommend this place enough and hope to stay there again next time I'm in town.

  • Peter was a fabulous host! The cabin is located in the middle of the woods with lots of beautiful trees on the property. Beds were very comfortable - our family occupied all three. We especially appreciated the excellent kitchen set up, well stocked with basic seasoning/condiments and fully equipped with small appliances, pots and pans, and baking dishes- it was more than adequate for preparing full meals for a family. The place feels secluded -a major plus if you are looking for a retreat- but the location also couldn’t be beat for its proximity to local gems - there are endless possibilities for both quick outings and day trips. The coast is less than 30 minutes away. Well groomed hiking trails are even closer, and there are lots of great local eateries where you can take a break. All in all a wonderful, cozy place to spend a week or two!

  • I was looking for seclusion and quiet and this place was wonderful! There is a neighbor right next door but I didn’t hear them once. The cabin is cozy and well-appointed. I like to cook for myself and the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, a blender, a full-size fridge and gas range so I was very happy cooking here! Peter was caring and attentive and responded quickly to my questions. The sound of the creek right outside is pure heaven and the big glass window allow the light to pour in in the morning. I wanted to have a place to have personal work retreat surrounded my nature and the wifi worked great. I also was able to do some drawing on the deck. I took a walk up the road in the morning and it was so quiet in 45 minutes only one car passed me. The place feels clean and open and unfussy and at the same time cozy and comfortable in the chilly nights with wall heater, bedroom baseboard, the wood stove and all. Although the comforter is so warm and cozy no heat is needed in the chili nights. ( if you’re coming from another part of the country, please know that even if it’s a really hot day nighttime can be quite cool.) I appreciated the homey touches like a soft throw blanket on the couch and cloth napkins and placemats for the dining table. I hope to come back soon! Oh, yes and it was CLEAN - that’s a big deal to me!

  • Beautiful, peaceful, well appointed, and the perfect location.

    Sean2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, lovely spot that had everything we needed! Nestled within the redwoods but still bright with lots of windows. Loved seeing and hearing the rushing creek literally steps from the back door. Peter was immediately available when we needed help getting around a road closure on our way up. Would love to come back!

    Sue2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cozy, and also plenty spacious for four adults. Great location to get to hiking trails and vineyards. We will definitely return.

    Mark2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is incredibly clean and comfortable. It is simply decorated but has everything you might need. There are enormous windows in the main spaces of the house which let you enjoy the beauty of the trees and creek even when you're inside. The cabin is also really conveniently located -- just minutes from Guerneville, the coast, and incredible state parks.

Enjoy glorious views of the Russian River. Have a doggie? Just let us know :-) 2 bed, 1.5 bathrooms, 2 decks, large open floor plan, and the Hot Tub! Beautiful & relaxing! There are a lot of stairs; keep that in mind if stairs are a challenge. Rates $95 - $300 depending on the season and local events. 12% Sonoma Occupancy Tax will be added by AirBnB and remitted to the County. Riverview is a "No Shoes" cabin; please remove your shoes upon entry and leave them on the mat by the front door.
Enjoy the two floor cabin which is particularly nice when someone wants to turn in early. The hot tub is just outside the sliding glass door from both of the bedrooms. The top floor has a wide open floor plan with large dining table, a living area with couch, chair, and bench, and a fully equipped kitchen and with bar stool area to dine at the counter. We gladly accept well behaved dogs :-) We have a $50 per visit additional cleaning fee for guests with dogs as we pay our housekeeper more for doggie guests. There are about 20 steps from the road to the house and about 16 steps from the first floor to the second.
Your are a short drive away from the town of Guerneville. There are multiple beaches within 20 minutes of the cabin, and the towns of Jenner and Occidental are both just a short drive away. World Class wineries abound in the Russian River area.
  • This was the best Airbnb experience I’ve had in a long, long time! Our stay at Peter’s river cabin was fantastic. Just as important as being immaculately clean (which it was), the home is very well maintained. All furnishings were high quality and in good working condition. Tastefully decorated. Kitchen has modern appliances and was well equipped for cooking at home. Would you believe more than one SHARP chef knife?! We cooked our dinner there every night. Even a coffee grinder if you like to grind your own like we do. Large balcony overlooking the river. Nice place to sit outside and watch the occasional kayaker paddle by. Gas BBQ grill is in good condition and huge. Two extra propane tanks standing by as backups. It was little things like this that I was most impressed with. Wifi was great. No problems streaming music/movies. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. The hot tub was a nice bonus feature. Modern washer/dryer in the laundry room. Location was great for us. About a 15 minute drive to Goat Rock to see the seals. Another 10 minutes to Bodega Head to watch for migrating whales. About 15 minutes in the other direction to get to Armstrong Redwoods State Park. 10 minutes to Guerneville, which has the closest Safeway. In short, the place was perfect. I wish all my Airbnb stays could be this good. Thank you, Peter!

  • Beautiful, spacious home on the river. We loved our stay!

    Margaret2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Peter has a charming and very comfortable place. Directions and home instructions were spot on, the home is spotless and cozy. The gas fire heats up the place very quickly even when on the lowest setting. We would definitely consider a return visit.

  • Peter's house is clean, spacious and well-kept. All amenities were in great working order. Peter is very responsive, check-in process was smooth, we had a great relaxing time!

    Fabrice2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning home with redwoods all around. Full kitchen with a gas stove and all the appliances and dishes - a real treat to get to cook well in an airbnb. A fireplace and a giant hot tub. Comfy beds we slept soundly. Even a laundry machine! We were stoked to be in such a cozy home so close to the coast.

    Jonas2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place is beautiful. We loved the location and how nice everything is inside. Very cozy at night when it was cold outside. Peter was also helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Highly recommend.

    El2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Peter’s place. The home was extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large hot tub. Definitely very comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Communication with the host was easy and great!

    Jean2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place is exactly as described - which is precisely what we all needed for a relaxation stay in a beautiful location, tucked away in the trees. Loved the the view while enjoying brunch on the deck, and the sight of the sky from the hot tub at night. Peter is very straight forward about husband expectations and what is provided as well.

This studio “tiny house” has one queen bed and a double convertible sofa. THe sofa is fine for children, but not very comfortable for an adult. Prefer 1-2 guests, but will consider 3 with discussion. Close to shopping, restaurants, theaters, parks, short drive to downtown. 30 minutes to the beach. 12% tourism and city taxes included in price, so you only pay the price you see!
This is a brand new 200 square foot "tiny house" and I am so excited about it! The queen bed is very comfortable and the sofa converts to a double bed. If 2 adults want to sleep separately in the house, please let me know. The conversion process is a little tricky - I will leave out the directions and also make the extra linens available. I would charge an extra $5 for use of the second bed - to help cover cost of laundry. This little house feels very light, airy, spacious, and also quiet and private. It sits across the yard from my house - it is near the chicken run and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the chickens do get up with the sun! I try to get out and give them their morning treat the minute I hear them. I hope you will enjoy their company as much as I do. PLEASE NOTE - THE PRICE QUOTED ON AIR BNB INCLUDES THE 12% TOURISM AND CITY TAX, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE PRICE YOU SEE!
The best thing about my neighborhood is that we are 1 block from Montgomery Village which has some great shopping and dining - various bands provide music in the mall all summer long. There are several really good dining places as well as causal restaurants and places to get "goodies" Even though we are close to all this, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parks, theaters, downtown restaurants and activities are a short car ride away and the little house is in the middle of wine country.
  • Inez's tiny house was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed for our vacation through Napa. At most an hour away from most wineries, it was in a great location and provided easy access across Napa and Santa Rosa. The house itself is relatively small, but not cramped. Everything was extremely clean and well located. Check-in and check-out were very simple. We would gladly stay here again!

    Richard2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. This tiny house is exceptionally clean. Inez goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent location. Napa and Sonoma Valley's within driving distance. If we return to the area, Inez will be our first choice for lodging.

    Sharon2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A sparkling clean Sanctuary close to freeways and right across great shopping and restaurants .. lbed was amazing .. staying again in March.

    Nancy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Inez's spot is bright and clean. Less private than some other options purely based on proximity to her home. However, she does a good job at adding touches to the rental to make you feel secluded (i.e. separate walkway, blinds, etc). The home had everything you'd need for a quick stay! Her two small dogs were a wonderful little bonus :)

"Shelter in Place" orders have been issued by both the state of California and Sonoma County. To comply with these orders as they relate to short-term rental use, we have chosen to temporarily close our booking calendar for the next few months. This is one of 3 Airbnb rooms in a multi-level home situated on a wooded 1/2 acre in the hills of Santa Rosa. The house features a redwood deck, washer/dryer, backyard & off street parking for 6 cars. View my full profile for other rooms.
The room, dubbed "The Garden View Room" features lots of natural light, a large window overlooking the backyard and gardens, and plenty of privacy. This room has a queen size bed, a large closet, dresser, desk & chair.

Charles gave great suggestions about free things to do in the area (including champagne-tasting!) I highly recommend this place; I'd book it again in a heartbeat.

Santa Rosa is close to wineries, parks, good restaurants, music. My home is about 1 mile from downtown, was built in 1906, has a small private room & bath, claw foot tub, NO SHOWER. No smokers please. Close to bus line, breweries and shops. Lovely area for walking. Pets under 20 lbs ok. I have 3 small friendly dogs who greet you.
Great part of Santa Rosa, close to downtown. Nice area of old homes, many older than mine which was built in 1906. I have tried to keep that old feel to the house and I want it to feel warm and friendly. Private room with large private bathroom but no shower, sorry.
My home is an Historic District with many older homes and trees. It a lovely area to just take a walk.

Private, quiet bedroom and full bath suite on the downstairs floor of a 2 story house. Perfect space for work or leisure, with a desk, wifi, mini fridge and other amenities. Close to freeway, downtown, wineries, breweries, hiking; the coast is a short and beautiful drive from here through small towns and redwoods. The house backs up to a school so all is quiet on the weekends and vacation times, and typical school yard daytime noises during the week.
You will be downstairs privately by yourself. Wifi is provided for easy connectivity. There is a large desk in the room, along with hangers, an ironing board and iron, a luggage rack and closet shelves, a mini fridge, a Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea options, and a variety of snacks.
The house is located in the northwest area of Santa Rosa - close to Sutter and Kaiser hospitals, freeways, redwoods, wineries and breweries. The neighborhood is known locally as Coffey Park - much of the neighborhood burned to the ground in the wildfire of 2017 - fortunately, and with extreme gratitude for the firefighters, our home was spared. But much of the neighborhood is now in the rebuild stage, and it is interesting to drive through.

Welcome to “La Casita de los Amigos”, a cozy cottage with a private entrance in a safe, quiet, and wonderfully diverse neighborhood near downtown. Amenities include a comfortable double bed; full bathroom with tub; mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, dishes, flatware, cups & glasses; a 37” HDTV w/Roku; secure WiFi; complimentary coffee, tea, oatmeal & snacks. We are a mature, educated, progressive couple who welcome all guests regardless of their backgrounds.
ABOUT THE AREA We are located in southwest Santa Rosa in a safe, quiet, and wonderfully diverse neighborhood built in 1946. The Historic Railroad Square District – including the SMART Train depot – is a 15-minute walk while both the heart of downtown & the Sonoma County Fairgrounds are mere 20-minute walks. A multitude of outstanding restaurants and nightspots, including at least a dozen brewpubs, taprooms, and wine tasting rooms, are either within walking distance or a short drive or ride share away. Costco, Target, Trader Joe's, and other shopping options are also nearby. The Pacific Ocean is a 45-minute drive to the west, Armstrong Redwoods State Park is a half-hour drive to the northwest, and nearly 200 wineries are within an hour of us. The Golden Gate Bridge and the city of San Francisco are roughly 55 miles away. Our proximity to the US Hwy 101 (north/south) & CA Hwy 12 (east/west) junction puts us, quite literally, at the crossroads of both Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION & RIDE SHARE OPTIONS Santa Rosa CityBus has multiple stops a block away and Sonoma County Transit has a stop roughly 4 blocks away. The SMART Train depot is a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive. Lyft and Uber are both reliable options here. ACCESS & CHECK IN Access to the unit is via a driveway which runs along the south side of the main house. You will need to pass through the unlocked chainlink gate and then proceed to the unit. Motion-sensor security lights will activate as you get close to the gate, so don't be alarmed if it's dark when you arrive. There is also a motion-sensor porch light at the unit which will be triggered as you approach. The unit is equipped with a keypad lock. You will be given the code and instructions upon booking. We live in the main house and are usually available on short notice if you need us to replenish supplies, address concerns, or fix something which has broken. While the unit is small (roughly 200 sq. ft.), we do whatever we can to make it comfortable, livable, and pleasant. If we fall short of your expectations, please let us know immediately so we can work to make it right.

This is beautiful remodeled private suite located in wine country on a third of an acre. The property is at the end of a private county road and it is quiet in the evenings. It is near wineries, the Charles Schulz Museum, Whole Foods and downtown Santa Rosa is approximate 3 miles away. Everything in the unit is nice.
This is a designer room that is done in soothing colors and top notch decor using original art. The bed is extremely comfortable and all the bedding is top of the line. There is a microwave, a desk, a coffee maker, a refrigerator with a small freezer, and a table and chairs. Towels are soft and of good quality. Nice cozy clean space. Please carefully read house rules.
Very quiet neighborhood. Since the house is at the end of a county lane, little if any, road noise. There is a rugby field behind the property and occasionally on weekends there may be games going on.
  • Mimi’s place is so cute and comfortable and exactly what we needed as a couple on a brief excursion to Sonoma County. Mimi is a supreme host and we were very happy with the stylish place, the location and the accommodation more than met our expectations from the listing

  • Very thoughtful Airbnb for travelers. Had everything you needed even a Brita for fresh water and multiple USB outlets. Room felt more homey than a hotel room and had more amenities, new toothbrush and toothpaste. Thanks Mimi for a pleasant stay.

We're a collection of 20-30 something's in a very active, socially positive house. We currently live in a huge old Victorian house in downtown Santa Rosa and are always looking to have someone new over to share their life stories with!
Our converted bus, affectionately nicknamed Peace Village, is the ideal resting spot for the adventurous traveler, camper, or lover of converted spaces. The space features a full size bed, and a wood stove is available to keep the space cozy in winter. Other basic necessities-- bathroom, running water, and adorable cats-- are available in the main house. The bus is pet-friendly, but not all of our cats are, so we ask that guests not bring their canine or feline friends into the main house. Peace Village is positioned to the side of our conveniently located, huge old Victorian house. We are a community-centered house that frequently hosts game nights, movie nights, and other get-togethers with a crowd of 20-30 somethings that are welcoming and friendly. We would love for you to join us if your stay overlaps with one of our events, or just to come in and chat over a beer on any night. If you’re looking for something to do on your own, there is no shortage of possibilities with this convenient location. We are across the street from a grocery store and the cheapest gas in town, and a mere 3 minute drive from every major freeway in the area. It’s a 5 minute walk to downtown Santa Rosa, which offers food, shopping, and movies as well as the infamous Russian River brewery. Most of our residents are locals that grew up in the area, and we are more than happy to offer suggestions and tips for traveling around in Sonoma County. Even if you’re a bit nervous about what sounds like a lot of people, send us a message anyway and tell us a bit about yourself. It could be a good fit for you! Please note that our space is a converted bus and a large Victorian community house, not a five-star hotel. We look forward to meeting you!
We are a short walk to downtown with easy access to a shopping mall, local shops, bookstores, restaurants, and bars. On Wednesday evenings in the summer there is a market in down town that has food, produce, music, entertainment, and much more.
  • We loved staying in the bus, it was very affordable and laid back and had everything we needed to be comfortable for the night. The bus is definitely not a 5 star hotel so if you are expecting something super fancy then look elsewhere. For us it was perfect. The bed was cozy and big enough to sleep me and my boyfriend and our one year old and my 4 year old slept on the couch. We brought some warm sleeping bags and didn’t even need to use the wood stove. The bathroom in the house was nice and easy to find and there is a grocery outlet and really good authentic Mexican restaurant literally right next to the house so we were able to walk to get anything we needed during our stay. If we ever need a simple, affordable and laid back place to spend the night in Santa Rosa again I would be looking to stay at this place. Friendly people at the house too!

  • This was a great experience! The fireplace kept us warm and the bus was very cozy! Great bang for your buck!

    Teddy2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great little bus! Super kind housemates and awesome cats. However, if you are noise or light sensitive, it is by a busy street with a lot of traffic. There are also lovely collections of calvin & hobbes.

  • If you are looking for a nice hotel book a nice hotel (for a few hundred dollars a night) If you want a chill spot right in the middle of Santa Rosa with friendly hosts and everything you need for cheap this is the spot. Everyone was friendly and the wood stove on the bus was very cozy

Spacious private guest house with full kitchen with view 5 minutes from town. Until the shelter in place order that ends May 3rd is over, the cottage is available only for medical professionals or work supporting essential businesses or services (can be non-County residents), as housing needing for county residents to ensure adequate social distancing such as to live separately from at-risk family members or roommates, to self-quarantine. Cleaned according to strict CDC guidelines.
High vaulted ceilings and the expansive views create a wonderful feeling of openness. At 725 square feet, the cottage is larger than the other guest houses available in this area. It's decorated and supplied with lots of thoughtful touches of style and luxury to enhance your visit. There is a queen size bed with a super comfortable mattress that many of my guests comment positively about plus a couch that folds into a very comfy full size mattress, comfortably fitting 1 and possibly 2 adults or 2 children. There is a dinning table, sink and counters, new high quality stainless steel fridge and gas range, microwave oven, toaster oven, and everything you need to enjoy food from local grocery stores and restaurants. You'll also find a desk, with super comfy desk chair and desk lamp. It's a nice spot to work since you can see the lovely view of the gardens and mountains out the front windows from the desk. There is a new 50 inch Smart 4K flat screen TV with many free channels, plus you can login to your Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Showtime, CBS All Access or any other streaming TV site account. When you arrive you will find fresh cut flowers, organic orange juice and some of my fresh baked banana bread waiting for you.
Location Near Town The cottage is just 5 minutes to the town of Sebastopol that has many great restaurants and shops.  It includes the Barlow Food, Art & Wine district that has places to eat, wine tasting shops and taprooms.  We are 25 minutes to the coast and the town of Bodega Bay and many different beaches and state parks along the coast.  We are 40 minutes from the popular Russian River resort area with river beaches, towns and state parks like the Armstrong Redwood State Park. It's about 15 minutes from Santa Rosa, the city center of Sonoma County wine country.  We are 35 minutes from the wine country town of Healdsburg with some of the best restaurants in Sonoma County and many wine tasting shops and stores around its town square park and downtown district.  It's 30 minutes to the beautiful Valley of the Moon area near the town of Kenwood with lots of top wineries.  About 10 minutes farther is the Sonoma Valley area with wineries and the lovely town of Sonoma with its historic town plaza featuring many tasting rooms, shops and restaurants.  Napa Valley including the town of Napa is a 45 minute drive. It's a 40 minute drive to Point Reyes National Monument one of my favorite places to hike and explore the beaches. The immediate neighborhood is very peaceful and semi-rural. It is a favorite with residents for walking and biking. There is a sheep ranch down the street with charming long-horn sheep and other properties in my area have everything from goats, pigs, horses and even a couple donkeys (my favorite). There are some properties with vineyards as well which reminds you that you are in the wine country.
  • Steve's cottage is a treat. My fiancée and I stayed here in March of 2020, just as California battened down the hatches against Covid-19. Despite that, we were able to explore natural parks, the Armstrong Redwoods and Bodega Bay, shop for local wine, and relax in the secluded oasis that is this cottage. We could soak in the hot tub, cook dinner in the kitchen, and then binge watch our favorite TV, all in the comfort of Steve's cottage. Steve is an excellent host, and his place should be visited, global pandemic or not.

We did not meet our host but everything was exactly as he explained it would be. While it is tucked away in a hillside neighborhood just above Montgomery Village, you are very close to wineries, shopping and restaurants. The bed is firm, and the bath tub is deep. (perfect!)

We need to try to make it up when the weather is better so we can enjoy the deck and garden more. Place is great and perfect for our needs. Fire place as the heater was perfect for winter and we enjoyed the hot tub with the jets to soak in.

We are located in a residential neighborhood in the middle of wine country. Shops, restaurants and theatres within walking distance or use bus line around corner. Located 20 miles from beautiful Northbay beaches. Central location for exciting day adventures in Sonoma County.
This is a small but comfortable room in a family home. We honor the quiet hours but during the day we can have moments of business. You are apt to run into a teenager or a dog or two. They are all friendly.
We live in the Grace Tract neighborhood. It is centrally located in Santa Rosa. Less than 100 yards from the house is a small neighborhood shopping center that houses a gourmet market, pizza shop, coffee kiosk, bakery(temporarily closed), and famous Willi's wine bar. Great wine and tapas. Plus a yoga studio and beauty salon.

  • Probably one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had! A beautiful cottage with thoughtful touches, all necessary amenities, situated in a beautiful area of town. Close to great restaurants, wineries. Bud and Sandy are great hosts - kind and thoughtful, Sandys homemade cakes are to die for! There are so many beautiful details in the cottage, we felt like we’ve travelled through time. Great local tips, a huge list of restaurants and wineries to visit...it’s a perfect getaway!

NOTE: Price DOES NOT include the 12% ( 9% city and 3% tourist/occupancy) tax that the city of Santa Rosa bills me for quarterly for rentals under 30 days in duration. This tax is to be left upon your departure. This lovely little rental has its own private entry and bath; So it's like having your own private nest! Relax by large in ground heated pool, or enjoy the private hot tub jacuzzi. Coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, queen bed.
My husband and I have the PERFECT place for you to stay while visiting the wine country in Northern California! Our quiet and private backyard rental overlooks a very large (20' X 40') heated in-ground pool with a private hot tub, gas BBQ, lounge chairs, outdoor table and chairs... and LOTS of ambiance! Please note that the pool is only heated from June 1st - October 1st to a warm 84 degrees (open 24-7). Please note that the space is connected on one wall to our residence; but it is soundproofed well and feels private (has private entrance); and nothing is shared. A sliding glass door entrance in the backyard in front of the pool will lead you to your lovely bedroom with a very comfortable queen sized bed. Although there is no kitchen, You will enjoy a coffeemaker, microwave, large refrigerator, toaster, and a table for two where you can enjoy the view overlooking the pool and surrounding flower garden area. Your bedroom has a chest of drawers and room to hang clothes. It has electric heat and A/C. The room attached to your bedroom is your private tv room and electric fireplace and boasts a 32" high-definition flat screen (hooked up to cable tv) and a small stereo system. Swing up and latch the large window to open the bar! Bar stools on the outside. The cabana has a private bath with shower. If you are here longer than 2 days, let me know if you need laundry done. You are welcome to use our washer/dryer free of charge. There is one kind of strange set up to get to your private bathroom. The garage is attached to the cabana. We have converted part of the garage into a walkway to the cabanas private bath. The bath is small and does NOT have a bathtub (just a small shower, with a sink and toilet). Santa Rosa is the perfect place to stay when visiting all of the beautiful wineries in the Sonoma and Napa Valley (10-30 minute drive), as well as the beach (just a 30 minute drive away), the Russian River area (a 20 minute drive), as well as the lovely parks and lakes close by. We are just a 50 minute drive to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco! We are located just 40 minutes away from the Discovery Kingdom 6-Flags park. If you golf, we have maps to some of the best courses in the area. Coddingtown Mall is just around the corner, Santa Rosa Mall is less than 2 miles away; and there are many fine restaurants in the area. We are just one block away from Highway 101 that will lead you to all The special places that tourists want to experience! Come stay in our private "resort" for a night, a week, or a month or more! We would SO enjoy having you stay!
We are the gateway to the wine country! Highway 101 Freeway access is just around the corner... yet we are in a very lovely, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood. We are just one block from the Mall, and about 1 mile from a major supermarket, organic market, and CVS; and there are many fine restaurants as well as fast-food restaurants in the area. Santa Rosa and the surrounding cities (such as Healdsburg and the cities in the Russian River area) are popular with tourists! There are a lot of fine shops in buildings that survived the great 1906 earthquake just a few blocks away in Old Railway Square.
  • We had a good time here, even though the weather didn’t work in our favor, wish we had had the opportunity to use the hot tub. The room was great and Nancy was super helpful with her directions to check in! And since we were mainly stuck inside we definitely appreciated the little touches. Hoping to do this again with better weather :) Neila

    Noe2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place was such a cute space. The pictures don’t do it justice as it was MUCH larger than we were expecting. The thoughtful and personal touches around the cabana speak to how much effort they put into creating a comfortable and inviting experience!

    Pang2019-12-20T00:00:00Z

Our sweet studio has a comfortable and inviting feel. It is the perfect fit for a couple. A short walk to popular destinations like Russian River Brewery and Historic Railroad Square. Studio is also centrally located for brewery and wine tasting trips. Also, please check out our other two spaces on the same property. We have the capacity to accommodate more friends and family.
This is a well-lit, private space attached to the main home. We recently remodeled the bathroom and updated the studio. There is a comfy queen size bed, and some pleasant seating areas inside. The studio opens into an inviting and tranquil outdoor space that is great for reading, lounging or dining. WiFi Coffee/tea and a hotplate. There is NO television. There is no air conditioning in the studio, but there is a fan provided. Backyard is shared, but often private for you. Just let us know if you'd like something special, and we'll do what we can to accommodate. We love to get to know our guests if the opportunity arrises and of course appreciate the interests of privacy and seclusion. The Junior College Neighborhood is the oldest neighborhood in Santa Rosa. It is rich in diverse architecture with homes dating back into the late 1800's. The area is great for walking, and has an incredible variety of heritage trees. The JC Neighborhood is also a devoted and welcoming community of diversity and inclusion. A quick stroll through the streets and you will see what we mean. Downtown is a 5-10 minute walk, taking you to some great restaurants and breweries. Russian River Brewery, Belly, La Vera, El Coqui Puerto Rican cuisine, Sizzling Tandoor, County Bench, Historic Railroad Square, and other ethnic and gastro-pub eateries, are all within a 5-15 minute walk.
The Junior College neighborhood is the oldest and largest organized neighborhood is Santa Rosa with many homes having been built at the end of the 19th century. It is a beautiful area for walking where you will see some truly amazing homes with incredible landscaping. You will also get a taste of why Santa Rosa is named "The City of Trees"

Serene, cozy, detached studio in a garden setting; with a private entrance. It is in one of the best neighborhoods in Santa Rosa, with Victorian houses and beautiful trees. There's a queen size bed and kitchenette with coffee maker, brand new microwave, mini-refrigerator, toaster, cups, glasses, silverware, coffee, and snacks; a walk-in closet, dresser, table with 2 chairs, a small desk and a wool rug. The bathroom is in the main house. This is a scent free, natural home.
There is usually parking near the house. The studio has two windows and gets good light. You have WIFI and there is also an assortment of books. Enjoy your own private garden. No bathroom in the studio, you need to walk 30 feet to go into the main house and use the bathroom. The bathroom in the main house has a tub and shower, also quality bath towels, wash cloth and hand towels. Shampoo and soap are provided. The main house is a very charmer older Victorian style home with a big bay window. Please be aware that this is a home that is pretty much scent free. Please do not use strongly scented products in the house or studio. That includes essential oils, and no air fresheners or incense please.
We are close to everything, you could walk to downtown, where you find the Russian river Brewery and other Pubs along with outstanding restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Mexican, Thai, Brazilian and Vegan menus along with many other choices. There are numerous wineries nearby and the ocean is 35 minutes from here.

I truly appreciated how the room was fully equipped with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, utensils etc. It also had a table and chairs for a place to sit and eat. The location was in the heart of town. Marianne was friendly and attentive to any of my needs. I would definitely recommend a stay at her home if you are seeking a place. I certainly will return in the near future.

We were able to truly relax and sleep very well, both nights, while enjoying a local family reunion. Only minutes away from downtown or the highway and many other places, yet located in a very quiet neighborhood. Enjoy!

This is definitely for the frugal traveler. Taxes are included in the price. TOT 9% and city 3% tax Property is close to TrueNorth Health Center

We have a plethora of movies in the front room we have two cats that are supervised in their rooms . We are open to all, with no discrimination and are a 420 friendly environment.
Our guests are the ones who can give you the best idea about this.
  • I slept comfortably in the bed and home of Crickette, enjoyed a hot shower and use of the kitchen. Host offered breakfast but I had to leave. I'm happy to have found a nice place to stay when I'm in Santa Rosa.

Guest studio in Montecito Heights of Santa Rosa, wine country. Few minutes drive to downtown Santa Rosa. Quiet very spacious room with 2 closet space and own bathroom. Comfortable memory foam full size bed. Self check-in and check-out. Free WIFI (high speed) and free street parking.
Guest wing in a house nestled up in a hill in Santa Rosa I’m lucky to call home. The guest wing is separate, private, quiet and very spacious with its own entrance. I’m hoping I will soon have it more homie and furnished but for now please enjoy the simple vast space to prance around? dance? maybe some yoga? (I’ll provide a yoga mat of which you can find in the HarryPotter-esque closet.)
  • Nice quiet place to rest your head for the night. Clean, open space with great natural lighting. I enjoyed practicing yoga in the morning light. It is also in a lovely neighborhood, super close to town. The only thing I would comment on is there really isn’t anyplace to relax on such as a couch or chairs other than a desk chair and bean bag. No kitchen area which isn’t a big deal but for the price it would have been nice to have a few more of these things made available.

    Jess2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was wonderful, Emily was so kind and accommodating. Great space with a private bathroom, in a beautiful location. I will be back if ever in the area!

    Melissa2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • So I was looking for something convenient and comfortable when travelling from NY that was easily accessible to different parts of the Sonoma Valley. Emily's room was so what I wanted and more! The second I walked in I booked the room for another day. Being in Santa Rosa, I was able to travel to Healdsburg and Sebastopol pretty easily. Emily was quick to respond and accommodate my every need. It's a cool space, with a comfy bed, and basically the perfect place to lay my head for a quick getaway. I'll definitely be looking to come back the next time I'm in the area! By the way, all of Emily's recommendations we're exactly what I was looking for!!! Definitely check it out...

  • What a sweet little spot. The property is gorgeous, and this guest house has such a comfortable feel to it. I don’t know how to explain it other than to say it was my kind of spot. Vaulted ceilings, super clean and not crowded with a bunch of unnecessary furnishings. Really comfy bed. Nothing along the lines of kitchen needs if you’re looking for coffee or a mini fridge to store drinks you might have with you, but I was only there for a quick overnight to attend a class, so I just needed somewhere safe and comfy to sleep and I definitely got it. I also love that she has a desk in there, I thought that was a cute touch as I brought my journal and never got around to it after the long drive. Would’ve been a welcomed spot to do that. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Emily!

  • Stuart was an awesome host . The absolute best place I stayed in California. I wish I could have stayed at his place longer but it was booked. Very private secluded away from everything and everybody. Very nice guy he came and introduced himself and let me know that he was here for me if I needed anything. The place was beautiful the bed was amazing. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Can't beat a one bedroom luxury apartment. Thank you Stuart appreciate everything.

Beautiful, well kept, and simply but tastefully decorated 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. Large front and back yards. Front yard has a gorgeous old oak tree with a swing attached. The fenced in backyard has an outdoor dining table, with a solar lit umbrella, 6 chairs, 2 chaise lounge chairs, as well as plenty of room for dogs to roam free. The house is a 5 min walk from a great shopping center, that includes an excellent wine bar/restaurant, grocery store and take out pizza.
The house is simply furnished. No frills, but you have everything you'll need. Coffee maker, refrigerator, stove, microwave, TV, bathtub/shower, a comfy bed, and great wifi. There is a locked off room that is unavailable, but it doesn't get in the way of anything and it doesn't change your ability to use everything in the house. We are dog friendly, but we would love it if you cleaned up after your pup/pups. No parties and no smoking on property. Thank you.
While staying here, you'll be just a short drive from many world class wineries and restaurants. There is easy access to the freeway, even though you're in a secluded, quiet, and historic part of Santa Rosa. Excellent restaurants lie in every direction, and many are within walking distance. Parking is no issue, since there's plenty of driveway and street parking.
