A cozy, private and romantic getaway in the heart of western Sonoma County!
We welcome you to beautiful Sonoma County and Sebastopol, California. Land of plenty, and famous for our once prosperous Gravenstein apples and our overflowing vineyards. Western Sonoma County has a wealth of both natural beauty and intriguing activity. Our separate and private guest cottage is a cozy, rustic-chic space that will make you feel miles away from the business of everyday life. It has a four poster queen size bed and a living room area with a flat screen TV, DVD player, microwave and mini refrigerator. Coffee maker with local organic Taylor-Made coffee provided, as well as herb and black teas, and popcorn for your movie watching pleasure. Also full bath with sunken tub and sky lights. Please be aware that if you have mobility issues, this may not be the best place for you, as there is a step up to the bed, as well as a step up to the tub. Sit under the stars on the back deck and watch the moon rise above you in this serene country setting. We have an acre to roam with a stream in the winter months and a wood bridge that crosses it. Lots of lemon, apple, persimmon and oak trees. Downtown Sebastopol is 2 miles away with numerous delicious restaurants, a fabulous indie movie theater, thrift stores, antique shops, music venues and brew pubs. Now open is the brand new Barlow Center. A mecca of food, drink and the best local wines and coffee houses you'll find anywhere. We provide names and addresses of our favorite places for you. We are also available to answer any questions you have about our lovely piece of California. We are happy to share, and are dedicated to the Airbnb way of travel and adventure. There is even an old train depot with a train car converted into a wine bar. A truly eclectic, artistic and diverse community awaits you in Sebastopol California and you are only 20 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Ocean & Bodega Bay. Come stay in the Lemon Moon Cottage and relax and refresh. Note: We will be changing our weekend bookings to a 2 night minimum starting January 1, 2018. There is not a way to add this to our availability page until right before the date. Thanks for your understanding! Cheers, Robin and Michelle
Our neighborhood is rural, quiet, and close to activities and restaurants in downtown Sebastopol and beyond.
  • Michelle and Robin's place was so cozy! Really great to have your own little backyard with big, beautiful trees and a little porch to relax on. The bathtub with a large sun roof was great to relax in as well. Overall great stay!

  • What a lovely space. I also appreciated that the windows were open when we arrived. Small details that help us to see they're taking precautions with cleanliness and protecting immunity.

  • Truly remarkable and amazing, a slice of heaven or in this case a lemon bar of paradise. Really appreciated our time, feeling refreshed, relaxed and quite happy. Much needed and grateful to have had the opportunity to share such a sanctuary. Thank you for your hospitality!

  • This is a cozy wooded cabin space. Many extra items made the stay like being at home. The wine and lemon bars, coffee and cream, and many extra amenities made our stay even nicer.

  • Very cute little place, close to lots in Sebastopol. And the bed was amazing! The electric blanket and electric fireplace were very nice on a cold and windy night.

  • The place was amazing. I only put a bit better than expected because it was so highly rated I expected it to be pretty nice and it didn’t disappoint at all. We had a great time and really enjoyed the bottle of wine that we were met w as well as the lemon tarts. I can’t say enough about this place! Thanks again for the hospitality! I recommend this place to anyone looking in the area!

  • Lemon Moon cottage is such a welcoming serene place to stay ! There are so many thoughtful details to make it magical . The bed was comfy, the heater was great when it got cold in the evenings, the deck was the perfect place to see the stars come out at night and also perfect to practice yoga, drink tea and see the sunrise . Close enough to easily get to town and far enough away to fall asleep to crickets and frogs.

  • We had a great time in Sebastopol and enjoyed the cozy cottage. Hosts were super sweet and left a couple surprises for us which made our visit memorable. It was really great waking up and having a cup of coffee overlooking the creek. Perfect location to explore the area!

Crow Cottage is newly rebuilt and decorated in an eclectic whimsical style by the artist owners. It is light and airy with a private shade deck and sunny patio. The Cottage has a queen bed. There is no air conditioning but it's very well insulated so it doesn't get too hot in the summer. There is a fan. Set on a country lane just a 3 min walk to 3 great restaurants & gourmet market. While we do have rescued cats in our yard we don't let them in any of the rooms. If highly allergic, reconsider.
The cottage has character and color. It is further enhanced by the original art by John which is placed throughout. It is surrounded by private green areas. At times it is rather crittery around here ,watching the birds and squirrels from the shade deck is fun. Raccoons, skunks and possums cruise through now and then. The cats wander here and there in the yard. The location is exceptional. You are in a country setting yet just a stroll down the lane gets you to great restaurants. The Glen Ellen Inn is cozy and excellent . Enjoy the free corkage at the Fig Cafe. The Glen Ellen Star is very popular. Have all the wine you want, walk back down the lane No worries ! There is a hair dryer and iron. Ironing board is built into the bedroom wall. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet, electric kettle, hot plate, coffee maker, dishes and utensiles full size sink and fridge, plus a dish washer.
Nearby is Jack London State park which is incredibly fascinating with more buildings open than ever before. Glen Ellen is right next to Kenwood which is also great to explore, aside from outstanding wineries there is the Sugarloaf Park observatory where you can be free of lights and look through their telescopes with the docent astronomers. A jeep tour company is based in Glen Ellen which is a lot of fun and reasonably priced. They will even take you out to the Pacific Ocean . Open Air Jeep Tours (URL HIDDEN)
  • Incredible is an understatement. This beautifully whimsical cottage is a fairy tail dream come true. Della and John were such a joy and even let us stay past our check out time for no cost! Clean, cozy and relaxing! Will be booking again with no doubt!

Shelter in Place” orders have been issued by both the State of California and Sonoma County. To comply with these order as they relate to short-term rental use, this property's Owner is able to accept the following types of bookings ONLY: Sonoma County residents who have been displaced because another person in their own residence must isolate or quarantine Sonoma County residents who themselves must isolate or quarantine, or essential personnel ie. health care worker, etc.
Your own wine country cottage with its own bath and kitchen located on a small farm. The cottage is private, but we are available to answer any questions. The cottage has it's own yard and garden. The parking is right outside the cottage with no trails or steps to get to it. The cottage overlooks the farm and a eucalyptus grove. You may see our mini-horse "Comanche", chickens, a sheep or two meander by on the other side of the fence. The cottage is fully insulated for even temperature. It is bright, private, modern rustic with open ceilings and a Vermont Castings vented gas fireplace. A flick of the switch and "voila" a beautiful, warm fire in the hearth. The bathroom has a glass shower, no tub. There is a queen-sized bed with the most comfortable mattress imaginable. There is also full-size organic wool and cotton coil futon sofa that sleeps two. We provide only the highest quality cotton towels and bedding. The guests really appreciate it. And, you can cook there. We have 2 burner stove and small convection oven, lots of pots, pans, etc. We'd be happy to share our farm fresh eggs with you. They're so much better than store bought! The guests have exclusive use of a private yard, with seating. There is a small garden attached where they can help themselves to strawberries, greens for a salad or whatever else may be in season. While we have dogs, cats and farm animals on the property no animals are allowed in the cottage. Guests may not bring pets either. This ensures the cottage stays clean and allergen-free. We interact with guests as much as necessary for the guests. We assume people like their privacy, but we also love to meet people and show them around the farm if interested. We tend to let the guests determine how much interaction they want with us. We know the area well and are available to answer any questions. We also love to share our farm fresh goodies, like fresh eggs, veggies or fruit from our trees. Our farm is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, Christmas Tree Farms, and vineyards. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches of Bodega Bay taking beautiful back roads right from our neighborhood. There are three main wine tasting routes nearby. For chardonnays and pinot noirs you can stay right in our appellation, the Russian River Valley, and Olivet Road to River Rd. Healdsburg is Dry Creek and Alexander Valley for merlots, zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon. All of these and more are nearby. Right in Sebastopol there is Iron Horse Vineyards, Lynmar, Balletto, Russian River Vineyards, Dutton Family Wines and many more. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transportation in our rural neighborhood. There is such a variety of things to do in our area. Sebastopol is famous for its award winning wineries, restaurants and antique shops. It also has an artsy bohemian feel, and many are dedicated to the slow food movement. Neighbors regularly trade their bounties with each other, such as milk, honey, eggs and veggies. There is also the beaches and cliffs of Bodega Bay (we provide beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. upon request), and great swimming and picnicking at the Russian River. You can hike through beautiful redwoods at Armstrong Woods. And of course visit countless wineries and gourmet restaurants. We can fill you in on our favorite spots.

  • Great stay at Mary's cottage! very cute, clean, and had everything I needed during my stay. Mary was an excellent host. 100% recommend!

    Brooke2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, clean and very well equipped little cottage. Easy access to downtown Sebastopol but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful nature of the neighborhood and nighttime sky full of stars. Very comfortable bed too. Mary has been very responsive during our stay. We look forward to coming back.

    Yasmin2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's cottage is idyllic. My partner and I came up for a quiet romantic getaway from our home in the bay. The cottage is perfect sized for 2. We enjoyed lazy afternoons between outings playing board games at the table and watching the stars at night on the swing set. The farm animals nearby were utterly charming and never woke us and check-in and out we're seemless. Mary's recommendations were comprehensive. This is a great little place if you want to explore Sebastopol and the Sonoma coast. Would love to stay again!

    Dana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary & Bruce had been wonderful & gracious hosts on their beautiful property. They even provided us with farm fresh eggs that tasted absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again.

  • Perfect little cottage for our weekend in Sebastopol.

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my relaxing stay at Mary’s cottage. The space was quiet and squeaky clean. The bed; sheets, and comforter were so soft and comfortable, it was a chilly day but the gas fireplace kept it plenty warm. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout. We especially liked the tall peaked ceiling with barn lantern.

  • Incredible hospitality and the most beautiful gem hidden in Sonoma

    Sally2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful, calming interior with lovely grounds to explore (saw deer, turkeys, hawks). Stocked with a fascinating array of books and designed with stunning attention to detail. Lovely place to get away from the world--just buy Sonoma wine and drink it in this space, no winery visits required!

    Dorothy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were exactly as described! The house is close to some of the best restaurants and vineyards while being tucked away in a serene hideaway. We had a wonderful girl's weekend relaxing on the porch, walking around the grounds, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Communication was top notch and we arrived to a cozy and inviting house with the fireplace already lit and ready to enjoy. This home is definitely worth the price and we look forward to coming back again!

  • This place is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. Great hosts, great stylish home. The land was gorgeous and you got a great feeling of being unplugged but still close to everything.

    Marian2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The most beautiful and tranquil home. Everything was super well communicated throughout our stay and the hosts were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better home to spend time with old friends. Highly recommend. :)

  • Having travelled to Japan for work on dozens of occasions, I can testify that this place feels very much like the real thing. The architecture, decor and lighting, atmosphere and general surroundings are indeed very zen! We walked on the property and ran into a dozen deer as well as a large group of wild turkeys. The beds were very comfortable, the house is immaculate, everything was perfect. Thanks Greg for letting us stay there!

    Marc2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and Greg and Adrienne's listing is by far one of the most beautiful and stylish homes I've ever seen. As hosts, they were extremely communicative and hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. From helping us find food the first night (and ensuring we had safe transportation as we were on a motorcycle), to giving us excellent local recommendations and even taking my boyfriend out on a boat trip days later - I cannot speak more highly of their hospitality and warm nature as hosts and people! Thank you both and back scratches and belly rubs to adorable Pepe!

A magical cottage on country property. Close to town but very secluded and private. The neighborhood has a rural feel but is just a mile and a half from all the action in Petaluma including many excellent restaurants and eateries. • This was definitely one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed in. I'm originally from the area, and if you want a true Sonoma County/Wine Country experience, you'll love it here! Chris and Tanya are wonderful hosts and the place is amazing.

    Christine2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • My stay couldn’t have been any better. Tanya was wonderful. The property is beautiful. I love animals so I was in heaven. The house, itself, is so comfortable and clean. Before I left I rebooked again. Can’t wait to bring some family with me. I know they will enjoy the home as much as I did. I come to Petaluma quite often and I know I will always hope to be able to stay here at this wonderful property.

    Elizabeth2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Funky and unique. We loved staying in this cozy cottage that originally housed chickens! It’s loaded with country charm and all the amenities. Book a stay and you’ll have plenty to crow about!

    Cindy2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really sweet Airbnb experience. It was very convenient for me in Petaluma near an event I was attending. The property was beautiful and the cabin sits on the top of a hill so that you can see the surrounding countryside. The cabin itself was cozy and well-laid out to feel spacious. Full kitchen for cooking. Bed was cozy. Pellet fire was nice and warm. It definitely checked all the boxes for a good experience. The cherries on top were Chris + Tanya's hospitality and the choir of the animal friends when you go say hi to them in the morning. (donkey, cow, goats, horse, chickens, ducks, dogs) Makes me laugh again just thinking about it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful country home and animals!

    Jennifer2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed the rural setting, and the goats, chickens, donkey, horse, etc. It's a warm and roomy house with everything you would need. Lots of outdoor sitting space, which is important to me. Tanya and Chris are great hosts; they are very friendly, communicate well, and handle any problems quickly. Highly recommended!

    Lance2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! So cozy, clean and peaceful! It is such a comfortable space a great place to relax. They really thought of every detail in making it so charming. It is quite magical the entire property and the cottage. Close to many great restaurants. Tanya and Chris are awesome hosts!

    Tina2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a fantastic time and this was our favorite AirBnB experience by far. The cottage has so much authentic character and is very warm and inviting. Chris was a very gracious host and the amazing assortment of friendly animals really made it a unique experience. Highly recommend it. We hope to come back soon!

  • A fantastic stay for those looking to disconnect from the modern world. This space is humble, yet beautiful. Carolyn was a great host and provided many great local tips. You'll enjoy waking up to wild turkey calls and walking around the property, exploring the waterfall and star gazing hut.

    Meghan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carolyn and Gary have a beautiful property that allows you to escape and relax in peace. A hot tub overlooking the mountains, a bridge through the woods to a stargazing spot, a cozy cottage with a wood burning stove...we couldn’t have asked for more. Carolyn and Gary were quick to respond to any question we had and were absolutely fantastic hosts. Hope to stay again soon!

    Sarah2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! Falling asleep under the stars and listening to the rain in Carolyn’s place was magical. It was the perfect escape for a couple. There is so much exploring to do on their property alone that I’ll definitely be back.

Enjoy the beautiful wooded area and our family owned historic cabin. Our gas fireplace, hot spa, fine bedding, and high speed wi-fi await. We're 10 min from wineries/dining in Kenwood and Glen Ellen in the heart of Sonoma Valley, adjacent to Napa Valley, with fantastic wineries, restaurants, breweries and 4 state parks with a free pass! We have ample elec. outlets, condiments, bottled water, hot beverage options, maps/guidebooks and more. We welcome friendly people of all backgrounds.
Our place is not a luxury property as some others are, rather, it's a relaxing "old time" camp feeling. Our family has cherished this property since before the turn of the century. The cabin is located in our backyard, 30 feet from our house, separated by a courtyard which is shared. You may see us in the backyard, gardening, dining, etc, but in our space or the shared area. ....You'll have a keyless code, tons of elec. outlets, Wi-fi, Roku for Netflix etc, Bose bluetooth/wired player for music. ....Phone service: ATT cell service works (other providers will have a weaker signal here) but we are out in the (Wine) country so make sure to check in our wi-fi for your texting, etc. ....Kitchen: It's a small but complete with: range, full size fridge, microwave, pots and pans, bake ware, blender, popcorn popper, knives, peelers, spices, condiments, napkins, paper towels, even "to go" coffee cups and bottled water. Lots of silverware and plates/bowls/glasses. Gas grill on deck is ready for your exclusive use. ....Spa: It's clean and hot and has instructions attached. ....Beds: a queen mattress, high count cotton sheets. 2nd bed is a (click-clack type) double futon sleeper sofa in the same room that can accommodate 2 more small or medium sized adults or children. If you have booked 3 or more people, I will have the sleeper sofa made up for sleeping when you arrive. If you have just 2 people and need both beds made up, please tell me in advance, otherwise I will assume you are sharing the bed and would like to retain the use of the couch as a couch. ....Heat and cooling: Gas free standing fireplace and a ceiling fan warm and cool you in our wine country climate. ....Bathroom: The outdoor (only) shower is 100% private, closed in, and accessed through the bathroom (not the yard). Its warm while you are showering. The original "bathroom" sink is located in the bedroom, as was common a hundred years ago. Luggage rack/freestanding closet with hangers is provided. ....Dining: Eat outside at the patio table on your deck or there is a small table inside the unit for dining inside. ....Outdoor Seating: There is the old fashioned padded swing seat adjacent to the spa, the outdoor dining table and chairs, and you may sit at our covered outdoor couch area if you feel like socializing as this is a shared area. ....Going hiking? We've got the maps and books to guide you! Free parking and tons of hiking at all state parks in the area with our parking pass plus borrow our backpack style picnic "basket". We've pre-loaded it with plates, napkins, small knife, cutting board, etc, everything you need to make a picnic out of yummy local food finds. We'd love to give you tips about where to go and trail maps/book are in the cabin. ....Night time: Our yard is well lit for night time enjoyment. Ping-pong table in shared portion of the back yard. Main overhead outdoor light switch is to the left of the cabin door cabin door. ....Summer only: Morton's Warm Springs is a pool and picnic grounds next door to us. You may hear a few swimmers and their picnicking during the day. Visit Mortons to cool off or just stroll the grounds along the creek, all with our included cabin pass at no charge. Hours: May and Sept: open weekends and holidays, June, July, August open Tuesday thru Sunday. 10 am to 6 pm.
We are located in the beautiful rural premium wine growing area of Sonoma Valley and are close to 4 state parks that are great for hikes and walks and we have a free parking pass for you: Jack London, Sugarloaf, Annadel and Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Preserve. We live in a wooded area near a creek on a country road that is popular for cycling and walks. Beautiful woods and wildlife are abundant. Deer, turkeys, hawks, squirrel, and more might be seen daily. In your room you will find a short list of great restaurants and wineries and breweries nearby. We have lived here for 30 years and are happy to give more suggestions too!
  • A necessary reprieve during a difficult time. Diana and Charle's place is semi-secluded and cozy and you can check in without contact. They are quick to respond via the Airbnb app. Given the fact that I couldn't go out to eat anywhere, their kitchen was a wonderful place to cook meals with pretty much anything you could need available (pots, pans, utensils, oil, spices, etc.) The bed and heater were very cozy and comfortable. The outdoor shower isn't cold, you're warm enough with the steam, but I imagine it's really magical in the warmer months. I did not use the hot tub, but I imagine that's quite lovely as well. Very cozy stay for one person, but I would also recommend for a couple as well. Would definitely stay here again.

  • The cabin is really cute and cozy, with lots of thoughtful touches and one of the most well-equipped kitchens I’ve seen at a rental home. The patio area is also lovely and relaxing, and the owners are super friendly and welcoming. It was a perfect place for a long weekend getaway.

    Taylor2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time at the wine country cabin! Even though it was amid the COVID-19 shelter in place, it was so nice to be secluded in a beautiful place. Diana and Charles were extra accommodating during this time and checked in frequently to be sure we had all we needed. We took full advantage of the park pass and found so many fun hikes in the area and really enjoyed our time social distancing outdoors. We hope to be back in the future when wineries are open again so we can enjoy them too!

    Chelsea2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean cabin overlooking the woods with great amenities. Diana makes the experience very personalized and has all the great local tips. Highly recommend!

  • This place is magical! From the minute you enter the space, you can definitely feel how much work went into making the whole place unique and cozy. The cabin is well-stocked, the amenities are perfect, and the hosts go out of their way to make sure your stay is special. Would love to stay here again.

    Alexander2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Diana and Charles's cabin went above and beyond our expectations. The hosts were incredibly friendly and easy to reach, and the space was adorable! Lots of little touches made the stay extra special. We definitely plan to come back!

    Bailey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! Such a peaceful airbnb and the perfect distance to every winery/good food. Diana was an incredible host!! So friendly and helpful. Would love to come back! PS. the kitchen has everything you’d ever need and the outdoor shower is amazing.

    Christiana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I were seeking a few days of quiet outside of the City and Diana and Charles's spot exceeded those needs. Fresh air, a beautiful creekside setting and all the comforts we needed to recharge our batteries. The family takes pride in their property and strive to make their guests feel comfortable. The cabin and hot tub were clean and the outdoor shower a nice tough to revive after a soak. We were new to exploring the area and appreciated the use of the park pass to visit Jack London park as well as Diana's guide to local shops and restaurants. We'd certainly recommend for anyone else looking for a quiet, relaxing recharge just a short drive from San Francisco.

Santa Rosa is close to wineries, parks, good restaurants, music. My home is about 1 mile from downtown, was built in 1906, has a small private room & bath, claw foot tub, NO SHOWER. No smokers please. Close to bus line, breweries and shops. Lovely area for walking. Pets under 20 lbs ok. I have 3 small friendly dogs who greet you.
Great part of Santa Rosa, close to downtown. Nice area of old homes, many older than mine which was built in 1906. I have tried to keep that old feel to the house and I want it to feel warm and friendly. Private room with large private bathroom but no shower, sorry.
My home is an Historic District with many older homes and trees. It a lovely area to just take a walk.

The room is very small but perfect for one. There is a tub only but that wasn’t really a problem for me. Linda was very nice and made my stay easy. You can’t beat the price for a place to crash

Our woodsy cabin is tucked away in a quiet complex with plenty of trees, ivy and rosemary shrubs. Don't be surprised if you see a wild turkey (or 10) roaming the property! The interior has vaulted ceilings complete with a large skylight to make the space feel bigger than it is. The nice thing about Cotati is how you are right in the middle of everything. Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Sebastopol, Sonoma State, Bodega Bay, and the vineyards of both Sonoma and Napa Counties are all within quick reach!
Your room comes with a large closet, dresser and shares no walls with any other units or bedrooms. There are 1.5 bathrooms which are both shared, but we will always give you first priority for the shower. The main bathroom (with the shower) is a "Jack and Jill" style bathroom, where both bedrooms have their own door that enters it. The kitchen will be fully accessible to you, with pots, pans, knives, a fridge and marble counter tops. We also have a washer and dryer if you need them. There is a shared living room which contains a whole rack of board games and video game consoles.
Just around the corner from our house is Cotati's downtown strip. Only a 10 minute walk will bring you to a local coffee shop, a handful of bars, a public park, and several restaurants including Thai food, sandwiches, Mexican, burgers, pizza, and a cafe/diner. There's also a popular local taproom that serves up a constantly changing roster of the best local and national beers being brewed today. The other great thing about Cotati is that it's surrounded by larger towns with lots of things to do and see. Downtown Petaluma is a 15 minute drive south, Downtown Santa Rosa is a 15 minute drive north, and Downtown Sebastopol is a 15 minute drive west. We're also situated so that the coast is less 45 minutes away, and Napa County is also well within reach for a quick day trip.

We are walking distance to the Cotati SMART Train station, a variety of restaurants and bars, a Starbucks, and an amazing locally owned grocery store.

  • Another fine stay at Maria’s home.

    Sean2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great value. Sometimes vague as to what's provided & what's not. The big example, you need your own toilet paper. This house is like a boarding house. W 6 standard rooms and a convertible living room/bedroom, the house can be a little busy at times. Things are fairly quiet. Sometimes there's a little friction between longer term guest (who essentially live there for months), and the passing thru guests. The former group generally has worked out some shared tasks (garbage schedule) and procedures (no dirty dishes. In sink.) The latter group come in not necessarily aware of these understanding and not subject to them. A guest stays 2 nights. They can't be expected to know of the shared work or to have to carry it out. The friction simply arises because there are different kinds of guests w different needs/reqs. I'd guess the brief guests are unaffected mostly. Also, because of the arrangement, guests have greater autonomy from host, and likewise less attention from host. The place is a bit rough around the edges. Nevertheless, these accommodations are a great deal for the price charged.

  • For my first time using airbnb and first trip to the north bay, maria truly made it comfortable. She made contact upon booking, when I arrived, during my stay, and just before check out to find out about my time and even given a chance preference at extending. Her place is clean, neighborhood is quiet and nice, and location is more than convenient. Her assistant was wonderful, welcoming and always making sure your ok and comfortable. The roommates were great, the stay was excellent. Could not ask for a better first time and welcoming to the area. Maria thanks for everything. I definitely recommend choosing her place as your stay.

  • Clean and affordable and worth every penny.

    Jude2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was very comfortable. Linens and towels were provided. Neighbors were also good, although some of them were motorbike fans and were sometimes noisy. But staying with other people in the house was a really good experience. All of the people here were very interesting and really nice. Having Jeanette as a house keeper was so fun. She and the other people were always helpful. One thing I felt uncomfortable about was that I had to pay $3 for laundry with quarters. Going to SSU from here was convenient by bus or 40 minutes walk. I had no problem sharing the kitchen and bathroom. It was my first time using Airbnb and I recommend staying at this house.

This studio “tiny house” has one queen bed and a double convertible sofa. THe sofa is fine for children, but not very comfortable for an adult. Prefer 1-2 guests, but will consider 3 with discussion. Close to shopping, restaurants, theaters, parks, short drive to downtown. 30 minutes to the beach. 12% tourism and city taxes included in price, so you only pay the price you see!
This is a brand new 200 square foot "tiny house" and I am so excited about it! The queen bed is very comfortable and the sofa converts to a double bed. If 2 adults want to sleep separately in the house, please let me know. The conversion process is a little tricky - I will leave out the directions and also make the extra linens available. I would charge an extra $5 for use of the second bed - to help cover cost of laundry. This little house feels very light, airy, spacious, and also quiet and private. It sits across the yard from my house - it is near the chicken run and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the chickens do get up with the sun! I try to get out and give them their morning treat the minute I hear them. I hope you will enjoy their company as much as I do. PLEASE NOTE - THE PRICE QUOTED ON AIR BNB INCLUDES THE 12% TOURISM AND CITY TAX, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE PRICE YOU SEE!
The best thing about my neighborhood is that we are 1 block from Montgomery Village which has some great shopping and dining - various bands provide music in the mall all summer long. There are several really good dining places as well as causal restaurants and places to get "goodies" Even though we are close to all this, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parks, theaters, downtown restaurants and activities are a short car ride away and the little house is in the middle of wine country.
  • Easy well lit dedicated access to your own private space. Beautiful yard. Walking distance from great stores and boutiques. Bike ride to some nice parks. Perfect short stay it a stunning part of California

  • Inez's tiny house was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed for our vacation through Napa. At most an hour away from most wineries, it was in a great location and provided easy access across Napa and Santa Rosa. The house itself is relatively small, but not cramped. Everything was extremely clean and well located. Check-in and check-out were very simple. We would gladly stay here again!

  • Amazing slice of heaven in the middle of a neighborhood. Very comfortable and serene. All that you need for a perfect weekend.

  • Wonderful stay in this cute Tiny House! Can't go wrong.

    Pamela2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place for two or three people. Had everything you need for a little apartment and a full size grocery store just 3 doors down. Clean and convenient for anyone needing to stay in the Santa Rosa area.

    Richard2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. This tiny house is exceptionally clean. Inez goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent location. Napa and Sonoma Valley's within driving distance. If we return to the area, Inez will be our first choice for lodging.

Your private guest room in a shared house is walking distance to Sonoma State University and Green Music Center. The residence is on a quiet street with a cul-de-sac and a park with a tennis court. Your room has a twin bed with new Tempurpedic mattress and a student desk. Ideal for solo adventurers. Easy to get to main roadways that take you to Sonoma (30 minutes), Napa (40 minutes), San Francisco (an hour) and the beach (30 minutes). SSU is less than a 10 minute walk from your front door.
Your guest room includes a twin bed, dresser, desk, closet, and a mini travel library. Access to shared full bathroom with shower, kitchen, cookware and dining wares, and laundry facility. A family lives here, so on most nights we're home you may hear family noises (cooking, watching TV, etc.) until about 10pm.
This neighborhood is pretty quiet and very safe. Across the street is a small public park with tennis court, basketball court, picnic tables and kids play area. Oliver's Market and Raley's Market are each a mile away. For dining deliciousness, down the street we have Honey BBQ (Korean), Los Gallos (Mexican), and Shangri-La (Himalayan) just half mile away in Wolf Den Plaza. And Sol Azteca Taqueria, also about half mile away.
  • Highly recommended! Susan and her family are very friendly, helpful and inviting; the place is very comfortable, well maintained and warm, and the neighborhood is very safe and convenient if you're going to Sonoma State, or commuting to nearby towns.

    Fiona2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice home in a convenient neighborhood. Susan and family are friendly and easy to be around. The cats are friendly too. The room is perfect for one person--very comfortable bed, good desk, book shelf full of travel and other interesting books, full bath right next to it. I used the kitchen and put my perishables in a fridge in the garage overnight. I was only there one night and it was super easy to check in and get settled.

    Lyn2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Susan's home was extremely comfortable. She lended me an umbrella when I needed one, was quick to help when I needed it, and was extremely friendly. Hanging out with her cats was a definite plus as well! I would 100% recommend staying in this cozy room.

    Lucy2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, lots of parking. Susan was a great host and her kitties were ADORABLE. >< So cute and snuggly. Great kitchen with everything you need. She provided an extra blanket and i had a mostly private bath. She greeted me in person and was great about communicating, since i was just popping in for the night. Great stay!

    Victoria2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • The stay is clean and relaxing, and there are lots of books on various topics such as travel, Chinese, and running. The cats will show you lots of love.

    Stephen2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean ground floor “student’s room” walking distance to Sonoma State. Single bed was super comfy. 3/4 bath was right next door and I had the shower to myself as the family who live there slept upstairs. Very quiet safe neighborhood. Friendly chihuahua mix n two kitties. Kitchen was easy to use in the mornings as it was right next to the room.

    Liese Michelle2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Susan was great! She was very helpful during my check in despite me hitting traffic. The room was also great and she has some wonderful pets that made the whole experience more homey and welcoming! Highly recommend!

    Michael2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This home was clean, very safe, nice, fun books and treats in the room...had all the small things you would want in a stay. Would stay again and I do recommend.

  • Comfortable, attractive, and located well for restaurants, groceries, freeway access, and county tourist sites. Enjoyed the back balcony overlooking the pool and and the view of the eastern hills. I stayed in the property for 5 weeks and it readily met my needs for a “home away from home.” Sarah was one of the most responsive hosts I have met, quickly responding to questions and addressing minor issues. Furthermore, Sarah is a lovely person and I enjoyed our personal conversations.

  • Jasen and Stephanie were so accommodating! I even booked late and then booked something wrong and they were so understanding. They are really open with their home and very nice people. I would totally recommend this place!

    Hailey2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jasen and Stephanie were the best. My husband had been in a horrible car accident and to be admitted to a local hospital 3hrs away from home. I reached out them and explained my situation. They were so caring right from that moment I reached out to them through the AirBNB. My first night I got there (late), they were still up. Most caring individuals, felt like was visiting family that I hadn’t seen in a long time. 💓

    Sandra2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time getting to know Jasen and Stephanie. They are so kind and friendly. The room was really clean and nicely designed. There was a TV too, which was a big bonus. I liked having the ability to store leftovers in the refrigerator too. I would definitely stay here again.

We are making our space available only for medical professionals and other essential workers at this time. We are allowing 72 hours between guests to facilitate cleaning and disinfecting - we are following CDC protocols for these, along with social distancing and hygiene. The room is a private, quiet bedroom and full bath suite on the downstairs level of a 2 story house. It is accessed by an electronic code, so no personal interaction is minimized.
You will be downstairs privately by yourself. Wifi is provided for easy connectivity. There is a large desk in the room, along with hangers, an ironing board and iron, a luggage rack and closet shelves, a mini fridge, a Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea options, and a variety of snacks.
The house is located in the northwest area of Santa Rosa - close to Sutter and Kaiser hospitals, freeways, redwoods, wineries and breweries. The neighborhood is known locally as Coffey Park - much of the neighborhood burned to the ground in the wildfire of 2017 - fortunately, and with extreme gratitude for the firefighters, our home was spared. But much of the neighborhood is now in the rebuild stage, and it is interesting to drive through.

  • I cannot recommend Richard enough. He gave me a partial refund due to my stay being cut short from COVID-19, even though he was under no obligation to do so. Also, the space is very reasonably priced for Sonoma County and is clean and sufficient and in a good location. Richard is a nice person and a great host. I would love to have the opportunity to stay with him again and hope to have the chance at some point.

Tucked back behind the little strawberry stand on highway 12, our neighborhood is quiet. People mostly walk their dogs and say hello.
  • This is a true gem if you want to stay in Sebastopol. The location is great, the room is cozy with lovely touches, full bookshelf, coffee nook, eclectic decor and the bed is really comfy. I appreciated the outside water feature, too. It was a great experience and I'll definitely return!

  • Very good people, went out of their way to help me choose cycle roads. Thank you. Great little cottage

  • Cute backyard cottage. It was fun to stay at a place with chickens. Easy parking and super close to lots of great dog friendly wineries. The bathroom is in the main house but there is a light at night to help you get to the door. Super nice family and great hosts. Highly recommend for a fun weekend getaway.

  • Beautiful, charming house and very welcoming hosts! The space is charming and has everything you need, and nothing you don't. 5 minutes from the middle of Sebastopol, but you'd be forgiven if you just wanted to sit in the cottage and read all day.

    Ethan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Private and quiet space. Very cozy and Lisa is very kind and hospitable. Would stay again and highly recommend.

This small private home is located in the Historic McDonald Mansion neighborhood. It is a residential neighborhood with lovely tree lined streets with large homes. Within walking distance of many restaurants, shops and the famous Russian River Brewery. . The smallest and most basic of the bedrooms in the house (new memory foam bed). This is definitely for the frugal traveler. Taxes are included in the price. TOT 9% and city 3% tax Property is close to TrueNorth Health Center
This is a converted garage and is very basic. It also contains the washer and dryer and hot water heater in the room. None of which will be used by other guests. This is the owners suite so you will find some of her belongings in the room. We rent it out when she is traveling. For our female traveler's this house will sometimes have the owner on site but the co-host are NOT onsite. If the owner is not there then it will just be you and the other guests. If this makes you uncomfortable please don't book.
This is a lovely historic neighborhood. Wide streets and sidewalk with lovely big trees. The best street for walking is two blocks over and is called McDonald Avenue.

Look no further! Furnished home in Rohnert Park, blocks to Sonoma State University and Graton Casino. Hot tub and deck with BBQ. King size beds, you deserve it!
Quiet cul-de-sac with lovely neighbors. Room for two cars in the driveway. Tennis and golf close by!

  • Denise’s place has a very welcoming vibe. Everything was clean, and the neighbors were nice. I would definitely stay here again!

    Anthony2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great house on a quiet cul de sac. Yard is amazing - but not very private. Location is perfectly situated near Petaluma and Healdsburg. Everything was very clean and the instructions were clear. Our highlight was the hot tub and the great location to near wineries. Will definitely be coming back!

    Brian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I spent a long holiday weekend here, with our son and his fiancée. What I loved most about this place was how spacious it was. We definitely weren’t tripping over each other. There was plenty of couch space in both the living room and family room, plus there were two dining areas, one which we used for eating, and the other for playing cards. The bedrooms each had their own bathroom, and were separated from each other which offered more privacy. The backyard was large with plenty of seating. The hot tub was a pleasant addition. The neighborhood was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the area. It is quite a little distance to the nearest major grocery store, but the area is beautiful so it was worth the drive.

    Julie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for our family weekend. Close to SSU.

    Cris2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay, very warm and cozy. It was an unforgettable week ❤️ Thanks again Denise & Tony 😊 the JACUZZI is definitely a plus !

    Kathyleen2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Denise and Tony’s was exactly as advertised. We were given recommendations for things to do in the area with our kids, and even had unexpected surprise Christmas gifts for the kids when we arrived! The home was clean and quiet, and the backyard and hot tub were amazing!

    Daniel2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in the heart of Rohnert Park. Near Sonoma State University and 5-10 minutes from markets, breakfast eateries, bakery and local restaurants. Home is spacious, with ample room to spread out and relax. Bedrooms are located upstairs and a half bath is located on the first floor. Great deck space. Provided ample towels and home was clean. We did not use the hot tub but the backyard was beautifully maintained. It was easy to communicate with Denise! Thank you for your hospitality and for letting us stay in your home!

Our garden apartment offers a light, airy space with country views in rural Sonoma County. The furnishings and decor are contemporary . It has a table and chairs on a nearby outside patio. The sitting room has a dining table and chairs, a desk, and a day bed. Also included is a counter with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator. The bathroom has an enclosed shower.
  • Great stay! Would stay again. The amenities are great and the space is super stylish. The bed is extremely comfortable and the morning country view is great.

    Jessica2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • So peaceful here! I didn't want to leave! Gary is communicative, and nice, but also gives you your privacy. Would definitely stay again.

    Pi2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a comfortable, clean and quiet place that has the most beautiful view as you look out the door. Our hosts went out of their way to welcome us and even gave us awesome suggestions for local vineyards to visit. Would definitely stay here again!

    Kelly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Gary's place! There were three of us and we had enough space, the two beds were comfortable, the accommodation very cozy, perfectly clean, we loved it! Only small negative point, the pressure of the shower

    Emilie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place not too far off the beaten path. We loved the cozy interior and found it to be a right amount of space for three. We missed that it was on the lower level of the hosts home when booking it, but it worked out fine! They even had coffee and creamer waiting. Cute touches and comfortable sleeping.

    Natalie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to visit the area but also if you have stuff to do in SF but don't wanna stay in the city. Gary welcomed us with his kindness and spent some time with us. His wife had a present for our daughter... so sweet! The property is very well kept and despite being beside the road is very quiet. I have to spend a word about the bed: just amazing, I slept better than at home! Wi-fi works great, there's coffee and plenty of pillows. Highly raccomended

    Giacomo2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gary’s place was just as described and really lovely! I appreciated his quick responses to any questions that I had. His place is semi-hard to find so it is really helpful he put the red stars up to easily spot it off of the road! Very cute and gives you the country feel of Petaluma while also allowing you access to many activities within a ten minute drive!

    Dana2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

If you are looking for a quiet non smoking, relaxing retreat that is centrally located to all that Sonoma County can offer, then the Pumpalow is for you. Our place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, cyclist and business travelers. It's a stand-alone building with a cozy bedroom/living space (w/HDTV & WiFi). A nicely private bathroom and patio area. It sits on 10 acres in the beautiful countryside south of. Your nearest neighbors are some docile cows and a variety of wild birds.
The room has a queen size bed, with a down feather comforter. A refrigerator, toaster and a coffee maker are provided, with a variety of teas, coffee and bottled water. The bedding and towels are washed with Clorox, and a Scented Laundry Soap. The pillow cases are ironed with a Light Scented Starch. The room is cleaned with Clorox, Windex and the furniture is polished with a Lemon Scent Oil. The products used in the room are also used throughout our home.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, as you are coming up our driveway you will see cows on our property they belong to a dairy across Hwy 116. The cows are brought to us when the calves have been weaned off their mothers and they stay here for six to nine months. To the left the brown house it's a working little ranch they raise pigs and have a vegetable garden run by an organization who teach mentally challenged people to become independent, they work, grow and sell the vegetables and pigs. They put a sign out when they have vegetables to sell, if your interested you can buy from them. Further up their driveway the grey house they boarder horses and train them. Across from our home on the corner of Hessel and Henning our neighbors there, they rescue animals, they have a llama, miniature pony, two donkeys, pigs, ducks and dogs and cats. At times we go down to give the animals carrots. So feel free to check out them out. The animals like visitors.
  • Jenny's place was the perfect getaway for me and my boyfriend. It was quaint and had all the amenities we could need for the weekend. The surrounding area was quiet and beautiful, with lots of cute animals. We particularly liked how it was a midpoint between Petaluma, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa. Thanks so much!

    Katherine2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s space is SO beautiful, and the property is so quiet and peaceful. The cows are adorable and Jenny has MANY recommendations for things to do or places to eat (Korbel and Gypsy were our personal faves)! I would have loved to stay longer and will 100% be looking to stay here again if work brings me back this way!

    Ashley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice quiet place to stay. Not huge but it had great matress, plenty of covers, frig/microwave, place to sit inside and out. The yard is really pretty. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the patio and property.

    Sherril2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A better place for a stay can’t be found! Biking the back roads was lovely but don’t trust google maps - get the local scoop!

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome. Our 1st Air BnB experience and I could not have hoped for anything more. Private, clean, beautiful grounds, great location. Forget hotels. Can't wait to stay again.

    Andrea2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay. Everything was as advertised. Great location, just off a major road. Easy access to downtown. Nice grounds, wireless and cable TV worked great! Nice touches in the bungalow. Comfy bed.

  • The Pumpalow was absolutely perfect. Immaculate, comfortable, and quiet. The location in Sonoma County was really convenient to our activities, and Jenny and Len were just the kindest most gracious hosts. Highly recommend!

    Patti2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny and Len were spectacular hosts. A cozy, pristine studio, with an ultra comfy bed, garden ornament and wonderful bird feeders in the surrounding yard. Easy access and commute to Petaluma. A wonderful space for the price.

Newly remodeled bathroom. Quiet neighborhood. Close to Oliver's Market and Sonoma State. Two blocks from the Smart Train Station. Walk to downtown Cotati for several restaurant choices. This is a private bedroom with it's own bath in a three-bedroom two-bath house. I live in the property and have one cat
Shopping center with Oliver's Market, Starbucks, dollar store, restaurants, Bakery two blocks away
  • I am a return guest which says everything about Mary's place. The bed is super comfortable, there is a private bathroom, and it's located in a quiet, safe, central location. I have stayed here before and I will definitely stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I use AirBnB in the Santa Rosa/Sonoma County area a lot. This place is in my top five. Here's a couple of local plugs: Saigon Cafe for homespun Vietnamese and Shangri-La Cafe & Grill for killer Indian food. Find 'em on Google Maps. Thanks again Mary.
