Spacious neighborhood all properties on acreage and well separated by trees and arroyos (small canyons). Nestled in a small valley below the old town of Placitas on part of the San José de Las Huertas Land Grant (land Granted by the King of Spain in 1765) http://sadlhlg.org/history-of-sadlh.html . Not unusual to see and hear coyotes sing in the valley, see bobcats and wild horses (www.placitaswildhorses.org/AboutUs.asp).
  • Perfect location! Perfect place!

  • The bunkhouse was amazing! Looking at it from a map view doesn't really prepare you for the mountainside that it sits upon! The neighborhood is beautiful! Our host told us about a cave near the top of Mt. Sandia that we ventured up to and it was terrifying but so amazing. We enjoyed the location so much that we added an extra day to our stay. The bunkhouse was decorated to the max with western items. The wood pellet burning stove was fun for us since we've never had to use one. My girls loved the horses and that they were right out of our window. Oh and the mattress was oh so soft!

    Deidra2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's bunkhouse is a very comfortable and fun place to stay - the decor is unashamedly western cowboy, with many excellent and beautiful artifacts and artworks. A well-equipped kitchen, pellet stove and quiet location created a very peaceful and easy place to be. You won't be disappointed.

  • Amazing place: cozy, warm, well decorated. Horses are friendly, the nature is beautiful. Highly recommended!

  • Jennifer’s bunk house was very comfortable and also a wonderful way to experience local culture. She has a great eye and you will love exploring the general environs. Her place is special, and is what makes Airbnb fun.

  • Beautiful, cozy location and space! We loved our stay and getting to see the horses on the ranch. Loved the wood pellet fireplace as well.

Charming, spacious casita in the shady, quiet pinyon-juniper woodland at the north end of the Sandia Mountains. It's an easy walk/bike ride to Nat'l Forest trails. Well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, private entrance & shady covered patio, wood stove, big windows & mountain view. Easy drives to Santa Fe (35 min) & Albuquerque (20 min). Pets welcome (max. 2) at $20/night (paid before check-in). Bring your pet bedding. NO SMOKING! Prices $39-$109. Texting or knocking are best ways to reach us.
The casita is built partially into a hill, which makes it extra quiet and helps to keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. There are lots of trees and birds all around, which frame the views of the Sandia Mountains. There is a queen bed that sleeps two and a futon that sleeps one adult or two small children -- both in the bedroom and cannot be moved. We also have a fold-down twin bed in the living room/kitchen. We have bedding for all of these arrangements.
Our home is on a Forest Service road (bumpy, but easily driveable) that ends at Tunnel Springs, where hikers from all over start their treks into the designated wilderness areas of the Sandia Mountains. You can start your hike right from the casita's front door. And although it seems remote, we are just short drives away from Albuquerque and Santa Fe. There are also ample services of all kinds in Bernalillo, just 5 miles away.
  • Nice Airbnb! Accommodating hosts

    Laney2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with grand views and nearby trails. On the north side of Albuquerque; only 45 minutes from Santa Fe. Clean and well-appointed. Be prepared for a stairway to carry your bags up and down.

  • Quiet and clean, secluded casita stay!

    Ryan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita is in the best spot in all of Albuquerque -- within walking distance of the Sandia trails, and within easy driving distance of everything else you might want to see and do. It was the perfect home away from home!

    Fiona2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a gracious host with a quiet, spacious and scenic property. There are hiking and biking trails all around. There is a state forest access point at the end of the road. The views are amazing and we'd love to visit again. Thank you Larry & Leslie

    Mark2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This little house is in a great spot and it is so fun to stay somewhere with authentic regional character. I love how the house is dug partially into the hill and the wall extends to form a sheltered little porch. I also enjoyed walking up the hill in the morning and sitting on the bench with a view of the mountains. Larry was also very welcoming and fun to chat with. I even learned some interesting local geology from him. Overall it was a wonderful quiet spot and it worked very well for our family of four plus dog.

    Slava2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so very much for the time you allowed us to spend at your amazing casita!! I was going to ask you if we could move in but we didn't see you before we left.. lol..

  • Roxsan and Paul's home was the perfect landing spot each night we were there to visit our son. The bed and room were just right, the home was lovely and the views breath taking. They are wonderful hosts and have thought out all of the details, whether its the colors in their home, much needed nightlights outside and in, information on local attractions, patiently assisting me in booking an extra night, coffee and breakfast bars ready to go and making sure you know to close the gate for their sweet pups. It was a little challenging to find their home first time out-if you can get there during daylight, it will be easier. All airbnbs should be this wonderful! Thank you again for such a great stay. We didnt want to leave!

    Lisa2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views from Roxsan and Paul’s home. And R + P were ultra warm and welcoming when I arrived. The granola bars were perfect for the drive to Santa Fe where I spent most of my time. They gave me great recommendations and had a number of books about New Mexico that I perused. Stayed there for a weekend and drove to Sante Fe both days — if you don’t mind driving 45 min to get to Sante Fe, it’s a perfect place to stay. Will be back again!

    Alexx2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is THE place to stay if you are visiting New Mexico. My partner and I were simply not ready for how brilliant our stay would be! We woke up everyday to the sunrise coming over the mountains (in view from the bed) and were surprised with how perfectly located their home was in relation to the many things we wanted to see in New Mexico. There were many fliers and local trail books at the ready, along with coffee, power bars, kitchen and laundry use, and a beautiful home and views to match! Roxsan and Paul were willing to spend time talking to us about their favorite trails and spots to eat and hang out at, and about what drew them to New Mexico (we are thinking about moving here as well, so this was extremely helpful). They have the two cutest dogs as well who are extremely well behaved and quiet. Overall, this was an incredible place to stay and we would highly recommend this home to anyone!

  • Great quick stay at a lovely home with kind and interesting hosts.

    Shruthi2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Roxsan & Paul are amazing hosts and I loved staying at their home! I was able to work, go for walks in the neighborhood & enjoy the local restaurants. I highly recommend their Airbnb.

    Brenda2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Roxsan and Paul have the best balance between welcoming you and respecting your privacy and make perfect hosts! Their home is beautiful, clean and has gorgeous to die for views all around the house! It is so easy to be there. I highly recommend their place. I would go back in a heartbeat. Roxsan even went out of her way to connect me with a friend who lives in an area I’m looking at relocating to. Their recommendations for restaurants were spot on. Delightful couple!

    Beth2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Two most amazing people you ever have the pleasure to be with. Great view of the mountains, wonderfully warm inviting home. The price is so worth it. Our summation: the very best Airbnb we have experienced this far. We will be back.

  • When I first met Paul and Roxsan when walking into their home, it truly felt like I was meeting up with old friends... instantly! These are very special, warmhearted people who know how to treat others and live by the Golden Rule. Top that off with a lovely stay in a very comfortable bed in their beautiful home in gorgeous Placitas—it was a win all the way around. Thanks again, to you both.

We invite you to submerse yourself in a private bohemian retreat – slip into bed after taking a warm bath in the high desert. Relax, meditate, or simply nap in the hammock in the interior courtyard, which includes a wall fountain, a plum tree and two friendly goldfish. Stargaze, or enjoy the mountain view from the terrace of the main house with a coffee or cocktail. Maybe catch a glimpse of the bobcat, deer or the wild horses of Placitas – all are regulars in the area.
Euphemistically referred to as the 'Bathhouse', this cozy, romantic, open plan private guest suite is ideal for a single or couple to sleep, relax, and recharge while exploring New Mexico. A mere 275sq ft., this guest suite has everything you could need in-between adventures. As you pull up and park at this organic modern residence, follow your ears to the sound of trickling water at the entrance waterfall wall. The private entrance to the guest quarters is to the right of the waterfall wall and immediately adjacent to the parking lot. Entering your suite, to the left is the kitchenette and to the right is the room featuring a claw foot tub near the foot of the queen sized bed. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided in your room) while re-heating treats from one of the local eateries. Or cook a light breakfast in the toaster oven-griddle / coffee maker. A small fridge with a tiny ice cube tray will hold your wines, sodas, and New Mexico green chili treats. Central to the space is a deep white porcelain claw foot tub in perfect condition, just feet from the queen sized bed with cotton linens, and allergy free down alternative comforter. Although this space is too small for three people, we do have a twin sized futon for a small child that might be with you. Bath salt with real dried lavender buds (and ‘Mr. Bubble’ : )) are provided for your enjoyment (Note: we are on well water here and the water can occasionally have a slight sulfury scent when filling the tub- but a little Mr. Bubble or Bath Salt with Lavender handles that nicely). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and robes are all provided. Full disclosure: this isn’t a stand up shower, so tuck in the shower curtain, have a seat and shower ‘cowboy style’ - or just slow down, relax, and take a bath. There are USB jacks, very fast Wi-Fi, and a 32” smart tv in the room that will pick up your Netflix/Hulu/Google Play etc. Recently tested download speed: 131.6 Mbps download, 4.76 Mbps upload. About the hosts: This place has the design factor you may be looking for. Jennifer is an artist and college instructor. Max is an architect, and tattoo artist, who studied at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, Taliesin West, and mentored with the famous New Mexico architect Bart Prince. The guest room you'll be staying in, as well as the rest of the entire house and property was designed and built by Max. Inside the main house, the kitchen features a brick oven. During cooler months, Max and Jennifer host pizza parties frequented by local and international artists and architects. At a recent pizza party internationally renowned local architect, Antoine Predock, casually referred to the house as, “badass” – so, we think you’ll like it too. In fact, if you're staying here and happen to catch one of the pizza parties, you are naturally invited to come across the courtyard to the main house and enjoy some pizza with us and meet new people. Max is a long time resident of Placitas. At a separate location in Placitas, he helped restore and manage his family's 19th Century Bed and Breakfast, 'Hacienda de Placitas'. Fun fact: Max's old family B&B (just 2 miles from your guest room here at the studio) was later featured in the hit show 'Breaking Bad' as Don Eladio’s estate. If you are into the slow food movement and you know the hygge lifestyle, then our guest suite and Placitas are for you. Our friends and a few select visitors have enjoyed the ‘bathhouse’ for a couple years now, and we are now sharing that “romantic, bohemian retreat” with you.
We are located in Placitas in what was considered the old North Village. The house is less than a half mile off Hwy 165, the main road to the village, and only 6.5 miles from Interstate 25. The main house sits on Arroyo del Oso and faces the north side of the Sandia Mountain range. We are conveniently located between Albuquerque (25 minutes away) and Santa Fe (40 minutes away). The Railrunner train station is just a 10-minute drive to the bottom of the hill near the Placitas exit at I-25. The train is a super lovely way to get to Santa Fe and Albuquerque. We are super conveniently located for Balloon Fiesta – as you will be driving against traffic for the most part, not with it! If you like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, skiing and snowboarding then Placitas has it or is near it. Continuing past your guest quarters on Hwy 165 will take you up the back road to Sandia Peak. About 7-8 miles of the trek up the mountain is dirt road but there's lots of hiking and parking /picnic areas along the way. From your guest quarters it's just 20 minutes up the mountain to 'Sandia Man Cave' archaeological site, and 45 minutes to Sandi Peak ski area, or go all the way over to the east mountains to visit Tinkertown Museum , and drive the Turquoise Trail through Madrid and on to Santa Fe. Santa Fe Ski Area= 1.5 hours away Taos Ski Area= 2.5 hours away Angel Fire Ski Area= 2.75 hours away Sipapu Ski &Summer Resort =2 hours away Ski Apache= 3.5 hours away Red River Ski & Summer Area= 3 hours away Placitas and Sandia Peak are known for excellent mountain bike trails and road bike rides. The Placitas foothills provide world class mountain biking trails that are also open to hikers and horses. There are 2 main parking lots for these trails found here. . Road racers are often seen on HWY 165, which is also frequented by Olympic trainers. At Sandia Peak Ski Area in the summer you can bring your mountain bike on the chair lift which is open from Memorial Day through Labor day. Helmets are required. Of course, the chair lift is also open for hikers, sight seers AND at the top of the lift is a nice restaurant and bar that overlooks all of Albuquerque. Placitas Trails= minutes away Albuquerque Foothills, Elena Gallegos= 25 minutes away White Mesa=40 minutes Our guestbook will provide maps and the best of our favorite restaurants, brew bubs, leisure and cultural activities.
  • Great little place! Perfect size for a couple. Awesome location just about 25 mins north of Albuquerque and just under an hour to Santa Fe, so there are tons of options for great food and great activities in or near both cities. Easy drives to multiple national and state parks, great hiking trails, and sight seeing. Our host was very responsive and the place was clean and cozy. Highly recommend! Jim & Britney

  • My husband and I had a lovely stay in the studio, it's an excellent location for doing things in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque while also having a peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. The bathtub is heavenly! We even got to see some of the wild horses on our last morning there; overall a very enjoyable stay.

    Erin2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay. The highlight of the trip was seeing the wild horses that would visit the property daily! The bed was comfortable and the pillows were so comfortable that I want to get some for home.

  • The bath house was everything we expected and more. So many thoughtful touches! Everything we needed was available. There were extra toiletries and snacks left for us. The studio was extremely cozy and the bath was awesome. Super comfortable bed with extra pillows available. We would love to come back and enjoy the rotunda during the warmer weather. We even saw some horses! Thank you so much for a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Rustic styling featuring high exposed beam ceilings, saltillo tile floors, kiva fireplace, skylights and large windows throughout providing lots of natural light throughout the day. 50 ft of big west looking windows. Enjoy spectacular sunsets, storm fronts, layers of mesmerizing clouds dramatically changing by the minute over endless miles of open desert... Many acres of adjacent public land. Conveniently located between Santa Fe & Albuquerque at the foot of the 11,000 ft Sandia mountains.
There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. One has a thick firm memory foam mattress. The other has a thick firm foam core futon. Please let me know if you have a preference and which room to put which in. The master bedroom has it's own bathroom, and private entrance from the patio. The second bathroom is accessible from the rest of the house. The spare room has a large firm leather couch thay can comfortably sleep an adult. Plus it has a nice full size pillow top mattress in the closet that is easy to take out. Additionally, the sofa in the living room can comfortably sleep an additional person. Please make sure and read the "Other Notes" section below regarding pets and children.
The house is very quiet and can seem secluded, but in fact, the neighborhood is residential. There are homes nearby, but not really visible from inside the house and barely from the patio. We are on a hillside, with winding roads, and the driveway is fairly steep. Four wheel drive is not necessary except in fairly rare deep snow. Neighbors walk the roads most mornings, and there are wonderful natural areas all around. Access to hundreds of acres of Open Space land a short five minute walk from the house. This region has an incredible amount of hiking and mountain biking trails. Do a Gooqle search for Placitas hiking trails to find a wealth of maps and other resources for exploring this area. The main road into Placitas from I-25 continues into the Sandia mountains, going all the way to the crest. The road eventually turns into a winding dirt road following a gorgeous mountain stream with areas for picnicking and camping along its length. Albuquerque is a 15-25 minute drive from the house, Santa Fe is a 30 minute drive. In the town of Placitas, (a 5 minute drive from the house) there is an excellent restaurant, a cafe/bars featuring local food, art, and music. We are, of course, happy to give advice on all the amazing local places to go! For people who enjoy nature, art, food, music history, and then more nature, this really is an ideal destination.
  • Great views and very relaxing.

  • This place is even more than the pictures describe. If you want a very affordable, very nice house, in an awesome area that seems remote yet is close to fun activities all around, this is the place for you. I hope we get a chance to come back. We loved it!

    Todd2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The location was spectacular, and the house was exceptionally clean and well stocked. It felt like staying in the house of a friend, not a just a place that's used by lots of different people. Our host was friendly, answering questions within minutes. This was the best Air BNB we have ever stayed in and we would go back in a heartbeat! An amazing value!

    Linda2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful adobe home offering quiet seclusion with a panoramic view of mesas and distant snow covered mountains and all within ten minutes of local dining and shopping. Danny is a great host.

    Dan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was all around great. The house was very clean and his home’s southwestern decor was fenomenal. During our stay the full moon lit the view of the homes yard fantastically. We would definitely stay at Danny’s place again in the future.

  • 5 stars does not justify this casita! It's comfortable, quiet, has everything you could possibly need, the most amazing view a few steps away, and strong wifi! The kitchen is full stocked with all the items you need to cook with, and endless trails, restaurants, etc. are within a short drive. This is one of my favorite Airbnbs, and I wish I could've extended my stay!! I reallllly hope to be back :) Book your stay!! Thanks again Hollie and Pat!!

  • This large one-room casita , separated from the host's home, is a delight and an absolute bargain at the price. Situated amid pinion and juniper and overlooking an arroyo, it's a warm, cozy, private, and well-insulated adobe building with ample space inside for lounging, dining, cooking, and storage. It features lots of windows and a comfy couch, TV, and rocking chair; a dining table; full kitchen, and full bath. Other amenities include Lots of board games and books, travel brochures, TV, closet space and shelving, fluffy white towels, good lighting for reading, and a super comfortable bed. The flagstone patio is covered by a charming ramada and has a private fenced-in yard for your pets, a big plus for us and our one rather dog-unfriendly pet. We have two large dogs and there was plenty of room for their two dog beds without tripping over them. I'd forgotten creamer and sugar for my coffee, but it was already there--much appreciated. Hollie helped us find places to walk our dogs and was super quick to respond to our texts.

    Monica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to base our visit from. Hollie had everything ready and waiting for us. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Chuck2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was a cozy, comforting space. The bed was excellent. My back felt better than it has in years. While it was secluded enough to be peaceful it was close enough to everything so that it wasn’t inconvenient to get what I needed. The host was kind and helpful, and it was an altogether wonderful stay.

    Mary2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Hollies space was phenomenal. There were so many cute and well thought out details in this space. The view was incredible and Hollie was such a kind host. If you get the chance to stay here take it.

  • This location is so charming, spacious, and convenient to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I would definitely recommend the place to others and stay here again if I were in the area.

    Joelle2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • So peaceful and QUIET!! The room was so spacious which was perfect for spreading out and making yourself at home. I came in on Christmas evening and had not thought about restaurants being closed. Pat offered a meal of pozole and tamale, which hit the spot for my first night in the SW!! Pat also made sure I had all the starter items for the pot belly stove which heated the whole room to a perfect toastiness! My husband arrived the next day and he loved the place as much as me. It’s got everything you need! Just pack your bag(s) and come and stay for awhile!

  • This has everything that you want for a simple lifestyle. Supper comfortable and relaxing, wonderful views, felt like we were in the country but supper quick to get to anything you may need. If my wife and I are ever in NM again we will be trying to stay here again.

  • Beautiful space and gorgeous view! Perfect location between both Santa Fe and Albuquerque! We even took a quick trip to Colorado! Susan is very kind and quick to respond if you need anything! The fire place was our favorite part!!

    Jessica2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Was easy to navigate to and I was impressed with the beautiful mountain views right away. Susan, was both a helpful and friendly host. We really enjoyed our stay and found the amenities to be thoughtful and useful. Waking up to that mountainside view was unforgettable. I would definitely stay again.

    Jon2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful space with fantastic views. I stayed over Thanksgiving holiday and it snowed quite a bit -- making the views even better and giving us reason to use the fireplace. The space itself is well-appointed, and as Susan describes in the listing. Everything is set up to use (even wood in the fireplace). I highly recommend staying here for any Albuquerque/Santa Fe visit.

  • Staying at Gary and Matilde’s Estrella Bliss was a delight. The place is spacious, the beds and linens are cozy and fresh, the beds are comfortable. And besides that the hospitality is the best. We had everything we could have needed and it was so very clean. The view was nice as well. We only have positive things to say here. We even enjoyed the fact that it was secluded and we didn’t have to deal w traffic. Matilde is a wonderful Hostess.

  • Debra and Nick are great hosts! The bedroom and bathroom are just as nice as staying in a hotel, and nicer in many respects. They provide extra hospitality and the hot tub, right outside the door, is wonderful. I would definitely stay with them again if I went back to the Bernalillo area!

    Hannah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The best part about this place is that you get your own door into your space, which my dog and I loved. The second best amenity was a Jacuzzi right outside my door! I'm a person who spends alot of time alone, and I really liked the fact that these two hosts let me go about my own business but made sure I comfortable. I recommend this place to everyone.

    Canyon2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • My first concern was finding a place for my two Scottie dogs. Debra and Nick love dogs and have a great fenced yard they could run around in. The room and bathroom were very clean. Another big concern was safe parking for my Tundra and 4x6 trailer. The street they live on is very safe and I often walked the dogs after dark. I had a lot of items that were not secured in baskets on the side of my trailer and nothing was taken. Easy to drive to Albuquerque and Rio Rancho also made 2 trips to Santa Fe. Fabulous location. Debra gave the dogs lots of treats and I got to meet her wonderful Grandfather a fellow ceramic artist. Nick fixed a loose wire on my trailer hook up and gave me advice on how to not let it happen again. (Wrap around twice and tuck the end in.) Oh the shower head is great as well as the hot water. The room is small the bathroom is not. I will stay here in the future!

    Elizabeth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beyond exceeded my expectations! Debra’s place is immaculate and cozy. It is located in a completely private space of the house with separate entrance through the backyard using a lock keypad. There is even a jacuzzi in the backyard. She provided snacks, coffee, ice, water, and single use toiletries. I slept so well on the memory foam bed! Amazing value for the price.

    Anna2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • They were wonderful. It was like being at you favorite sisters for a visit. A we got to meet grandpa as a bonus. Everyone should be so lucky.

  • Great home, with an incredible view. The host has everything there that you would need, and her home is very comfortable. We had family come in from all over and used every available sleeping space, but still felt like the home was spacious for the 5 of us. We couldn't have asked for anything else.

    Erica2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tina’s house is just stunning. The views of Sandia are breathtaking! Her home decor is so thoughtfully placed - made it such a cozy space. My guests and I had an extremely comfortable stay and Tina even left us some cookies to welcome us - such a personal touch! Would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here.

    Annie2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tina is a wonderful host with a wonderful home in a perfect location outside of the downtown area. We were able to do some hiking right out the front door! We had a very peaceful, relaxing stay with room to spread out. The kitchen was well furnished so we were able to cook a lot of our meals at home. It is a perfect location close to the Balloon Fiesta Park, and a few of the park-n-ride locations so we didn't have to battle the traffic. The only thing that we missed was not having closets to hang up clothes or drawers to unpack our suitcases. But, that is minor compared to all the wonderful amenities that Tina has provided. Tina was very responsive to any and all questions that we had. She was very helpful with great suggestions on places to see and eat.

Beautiful, historic, Placitas home amongst the foothills with views of the Sandias. 2br, 1bath, full kitchen, private fenced yard, pet friendly. I also have, gated parking, wi-fi, cable. It's a 15 min drive to Albuquerque and a quick 40 min trip to Santa Fe. Placitas is home to beautiful hiking, biking, art, markets, community and privacy. This home is within walking distance to a winery.
  • In the midst of the growing Corona Apocalypse 2020, a friend was supposed to come visit me in AZ from CO but was not inclined to get on a plane. I suggested we jump in our cars and meet halfway near Santa Fe and socially isolate together. I was more than half joking so when she said yes I had to quickly jump online to find us a place. I wanted something warm and quaint and cozy but also outside the major centers of Santa Fe and ABQ and their congestion and denser population. Rebecca's lovely little house more than fit the bill - from its location in the very quiet town of Placitas to its old time backstory (was a local mercantile) to its quaint creaky floors, full sunroom with plants, easy to light wood stove, fully equipped kitchen, space heaters everywhere, lots of books to choose from, a TV (never turned it on so no idea about channels), plush cozy beds topped with piles of covers and pillows and its absolutely cleanliness, only other thing I could have asked for were slippers! But could certainly have brought my own. Rebecca was on guard with current state of corona and walked us through the house (keeping her distance) showing us everything had been wiped and sanitized with bleach and asking us to do the same. She had guests for 6 weeks that had left the day before and you would have never known, place was spic and span. We spent a quiet two days cooking, discussing the current state of the world, playing cards and reading. We visited the hot springs (rationalizing that Corona could not survive the temps) and had it almost to ourselves, wandered through towns, did some hiking. Looking forward to coming back when the world calms down!

    Mollie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 months at Rebecca's place escaping our Canadian winter ... and used it as a base for exploring much of what New Mexico offers. The location is wonderful - with easy access to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and so much more. The neighbourhood was completely safe with many fascinating routes to walk our dog. I loved cooking our healthy meals in the well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed watching the exotic plants on the porch and in the garden come to life as spring arrived. I appreciated attending yoga and other low cost classes at the nearby Community Centre, and so much more. Rebecca was an incredibly responsive host - making accommodations to our aging 'accessibility' needs, giving us advice as needed, and respecting our privacy completely. I will cherish this New Mexican experience in this unique and historic Placitas Casita for the rest of my days.

  • Very good

    Donald2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed getting a sense of Placitas while we stayed in Rebecca's cozy and beautiful space. The beds were comfy (we like firmer mattresses & these were great!) and all 3 of us, including our dog, basked in the warmth of the wood stove. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor space when we were there, but it looked lovely! (Bonus: Got to hang out with the neighbor's runaway got that decided to stand in the middle of the highway -- a memorable experience!)

    Gabrielle2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect AirBNB experience. An ultracool home with charm and history in an iconic SW locale with a remarkable host. The Placitas area is a hidden jem in NM located a short distance from Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Although the town is small there is no shortage of great food and other services in the immediate proximity. Sadly we were there for only one night but the eatery recommended to us, Blades Bistro, was on par to some of the best in the US. The people we met there were warm, intelligent and engaging and we stayed 3 hours just conversing with the locals. Other pluses include spacious accommodations, eclectic artsy vibe, close freeway proximity, ample onsite parking ( we parked a 25 ft Class C RV), adequate WiFi and truly dog friendly with a secure fenced in yard. And last Rebecca is a real Superhost!

    Dirk2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a nice little place. You can sit by the fire all evening inside and relax. It was cold when we were there so we didnt make use of the outdoor space but there is a a nice sitting area on the porch and out front. This place is close enough to Albuquerque that you can get all the benefits of the city yet a bit of the quiet country mountain area of Placitas. Rebecca is a great host and restocked our firewood for us and answered any questions we had. Will stay again when we make our way back to the Albuquerque area.

    Ashley2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was a gracious, sweet and friendly host. She had heaters turned on and a fire ready to light when we arrived. The beds are comfortable and we appreciated the secure, fenced yard for our dog. The newly renovated bathroom was very nice and we absolutely loved the character of the home with all of its artistic touches. We did a lot of cooking while we stayed and we had everything we needed in the kitchen! The house was so cozy and comfortable we barely wanted to leave and explore our surroundings. But... we drove a few miles up the road and did the Sandia Man Cave hike and it was beautiful! We kept going and saw amazing views at the top of the mountains. There’s tons of hiking up in the area, along with skiing nearby and just across I-25 (maybe 7 miles from the house) is the Coronado pueblo and a brewery. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We absolutely loved it!

    Amber2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is a gracious host. The house is conveniently located for Placitas. It has charm and is well stocked. I especially liked that there is kindle and wood readily available for the stove.

Retreat to the peace and quiet of the Charming Village of Placitas-Known for its Wild Horses! Serene, Private Location nestled at the end of the road on 6 acres! Stunning Views! 3 miles off I25 - located between Albuquerque & Santa Fe. Only 11 miles from the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort. High End, Beautifully Appointed Santa Fe Style Home. Ethan Allen Furnishings/Original Artwork-Private Courtyard--New Listing!
The home is a beautifully designed Santa Fe Style and you will be staying in a sun filled private master suite within the home with 20 foot latillas & viga ceilings, kiva fireplace, and saltillo tile floors. The suite has its own private entrance and parking--no need to go through the main home. You enter through your own gate--into the courtyard where you enjoy spectacular views. There you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or sip a glass of wine at night. There is a covered Portal for relaxing and enjoying the outdoor fireplace. Your suite has contemporary Ethan Allen furnishings with a modern/southwestern flair. There is outstanding art purchased from local artists and galleries. The home is built into the hill which makes it extra quiet and helps to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter months. There is a wood burning Kiva fireplace in the room. There are juniper and piñon trees and lots of birds. Very appropo is the fact that on my street (Pajaro Azul) are an abundance of bluebirds and blue jays! In fact, at times the trees turn "blue" from all the birds!
The home is in the historic village of Placitas which was settled over 100 years ago. You are at an elevation of 7000 feet but this is a desert region. The property has 6 acres of piñon and juniper trees and has a country feel with city access. Placitas is known for its wild horses. I have a herd of 12 mustangs that visit the property frequently. So don't be surprised if you find them grazing outside your bedroom window! It is a simple 5 minute drive to excellent hiking, running, and mountain biking trails. And, half way between the artsy, urban, nationally renowned museums, galleries, and restaurants of Santa Fe (35 minutes) and Albuquerque (20 minutes). Down the mountain, you can enjoy the Placitas Cafe for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner, Blade's Bistro for Gourmet dining & weekend brunch and, the Merc for grocery shopping along with a world-class wine collection. In Bernalillo, make sure you visit the ever popular Range Cafe and the newly opened Freight House which features local brews. You won't want to miss Bosque ---a new brewery that has opened on the Rio Grande River. And, of course there is a world class buffet at the Santa Ana Star Casino just 7 miles away. There are two golf courses in the area-Prairie Star Golf Course and the Tamaya- Hyatt Regency Resort Golf Course. And, of course, you will want to try your luck at one of the area's many casinos- Santa Ana Star and the Sandia Casino only minutes away.
  • Beautiful views in peaceful surroundings! Definitely a must for your to do list.

    Monika2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely jewel of a spot! Stylish, comfortable and sparkling clean . Bed SUPER comfortable, enjoyed seeing the stars from it before nodding off. I got to see a wild horse in front of her house my last morning which made my trip! :-) Judy as easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to help me personally with her own resources and friends in the area as this was a scouting trip for relocation. Only regret was that we did not meet face to face as I know I would enjoy getting to know her further by her kind texts. Great location south of Santa Fe and Albuquerque not to be missed! Hope to be back again soon when everything is green and blooming.

    Joan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Judy's home is the ultimate in what an airbnb should be! It's really a beautiful place and she provided us with extra amenities and tips for places to go. Our only disappointment was not being able to see the horses come up to the property. If we needed anything, she provided it immediately. Love this place, and we want to come back this coming summer! Sharon Schmitt

    Sharon2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Judy’s was last minute, and we were so thankful for the lovely, luxe accommodations in such a beautiful and serene setting. We look forward to a return visit! Highly recommend! Thank you!

  • Very cozy place. We didnt spend alot of time in the room...but it was always wonderful to come back to after our daily outings in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Great location between the two cities

    Maria2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbub experience and could not have been more perfect. I would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to stay in the Albuquerque Santa Fe area.

    Michael2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely a beautiful beautiful place and the tranquility of the home was perfect as I snuggled by the fireplace with a cozy warm blanket with a nice bottle of wine and the view of the full moon was simply perfect. A hidden treasure gem sleeping under the stars with the blue birds and a good cup of coffee. Lots of cozy pillows a hot shower and simply peaceful. Sincerely, Lovey “Loveys Adventures “

    Lovey2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a sweet, romantic escape! My wife and I had a quick adventure through Albuquerque to see the sights, fly in a hot air balloon and just be together as a couple. What's beautiful about this little getaway were the stars at night, the fireplace and the bed! The tub is a great soak and Judy really went above and beyond to make it a romantic getaway. Don't expect a large kitchenette or tv, but that's not part of the romance anyways!

My adobe casita is a special place – washed in sunlight, quiet and tucked into a half acre with grass, trees, flowers, rabbits and birds. It is 15-20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque and about 50 minutes from Santa Fe. Plenty of outdoor space in which to relax and soak up the sun. Mountain views, too. A perfect place to relax and enjoy New Mexico. Due to the coronavirus, we are taking extra care to disinfect surfaces between reservations.
Quiet, peaceful. A slice of the country in Albuquerque. This little building used to be a meditation hall, and it retains its zen calm, only now with a comfy bed with all-cotton linens, a reading nook and a patio table with mountain views for your coffee and tea in the morning. A kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, coffee maker and two-burner electric hot plate. Dishes, glassware and pots and pans for two. Very cold air conditioning and quiet, efficient and warm heater. Starbucks French roast coffee and an assortment of teas provided.
We are about 15-20 minutes from downtown via I-25 and 50-55 minutes from Santa Fe. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta park is, literally, behind our house.
  • Look no further! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The adorable casita sits in front of the mountains and has the cutest yard. It’s definitely a great peaceful escape. The host, Leslie, is the best host I have ever had using this app. We had our previous host cancel on our reservation the day before due to the coronavirus outbreaks and I had reached out to Leslie after viewing her lovely listing. Not only was she quick to respond ensuring she could host us in her lovely casita, but she also took the measure to ensure that it was disinfected and clean. We checked in and found a wasp trapped behind a blind and she even came in, gently handled the wasp and let it free outside. She is truly an amazing lady and host and her casita is equally as amazing. I hope to return soon! Thank you Leslie for the best hospitality we’ve received in awhile!

    Melisa2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie was the sweetest host. We told her we’d be checking in later in the evening, and since she was home, she left the gate open and our key in the door so we didn’t have to mess with the lockbox in the dark. Secluded and serene is really the perfect description for this place. It was clean and cozy and quiet with essentials for a great stay. Absolutely recommend!

    Heather2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute, quiet place to spend the weekend! Everything was so clean and tidy and overall a great stay!

    Gabriella2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie’s casita is wonderful for a stay in Albuquerque. Very clean, spacious and quiet. Was there for business and couldn’t be happier to utilize Leslie’s hospitality to relax and recharge at the end of some long days. My second year staying with her and it has been an absolute pleasure. I want to keep her a secret for myself, but she is truly a wonderful host with an excellent location.

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Adobe Casita Is a great place to unwind. If you like peace and quiet you can find it here. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Location worked wonderful for us With easy to get to restaurants and activities literally just around the corner. Leslie is a great host!

    Joseph2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish adobe casita with everything you need. I was attending a conference at Sandia Casino so location was perfect. My husband went skiing at Sandia Ski Resort while I was at conference. Great places to eat close by, but you are tucked away from the hubbub.

    Ann2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie is a great hostess, very personable and most pleasant. She made it very easy for us to check in and out. The Adobe Casita is very cut and comfortable. Additionally it is quiet and very private.

This listing is for a bedroom and bath in our adobe home. It sits in a private lovely setting near the Sandia mountains. The house itself is real adobe design with beamed ceilings and brick floors. On winter evenings we usually have a fire crackling in our kiva fireplace. We provide breakfast, orange juice and fresh ground coffee ! Our guests remark on how it feels quiet and removed from the city, yet also an easy drive to Albuquerque, the Sunport, and the Hyatt Tamaya .
The ambiance of our home feels rustic, yet cozy and comfortable ! We provide breakfast and good strong coffee to start your day.
*Our neighborhood is very quiet with lovely vistas of the Rio Grande Valley, distant mesas, and the Sandia mountains. We enjoy direct access to hiking, biking trails, and sunset walks. *Bernalillo is the closest town (5 miles away) with dining options such as The famous Range Cafe, Kactus Brewing, and the new Bosque Brewing providing outdoor dining along the Rio Grande. **Placitas itself offers the Merc Grocery and Deli, Blades Bistro, and The Placitas Cafe (just 2 miles ) with Fabulous breakfast burritos !
  • Staying with Linny and Michael was an awesome experience! They are so kind and there to offer helpful tips on the area and share their stories, too. I never felt uncomfortable and always felt like a welcome friend. Linny always left out tasty breakfast treats for me (I wasn’t ever up before they were) which was a welcome treat and lovely start to my days there. They’re there to communicate when you need to but not invasive at all! The space was beautiful and comfortable. The touches of art were amazing. The living spaces (private and shared) were clean and cozy. I would recommend staying here hands down! Also Bonnie is the most precious pup!

  • Beautiful views! Comfortable quiet! An experience I enjoyed very much. This was my first Airbnb experience and it did not disappoint.

    Alexus2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts are super kind and accommodating, we had a great time hanging out in the hot tub and the breakfasts Linny provided were delicious. The neighborhood feels very peaceful and remote but is convenient to Albuquerque and santa fe. Would definitely book again!!! Thanks 😊

    Sammy2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is hidden away about 40 minutes from Sante Fe and 20 from Albuquerque. It has a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom but offers privacy when desired and a complimentary breakfast in the mornings me and my fiancé enjoyed very much. The hot tub is amazing with unspoiled views of the stars and a beautiful view of the mountains from the bedroom. Definitely a steal for the price. We enjoyed everything about it from the scenery to the very polite and friendly hosts. They went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay and I would definitely stay with them again. Overall a very good vacation.

    Paige2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough nice things about my stay with Linny and Michael (and their lovely doggo, Bonnie). Their adobe in Placitas is just outside of ABQ and about 40mins down 25 from Santa Fe, so plan on a brief highway haul if you want some city fun. When I arrived, Linny and Michael were both super welcoming and gave me a tour of their home. Bonnie, their little pup, was super chill and didn’t bark at all, and I quite enjoyed having her around during my stay. The home is gorgeous and clean, and the outdoor hot tub was fantastic. They have a pool for when it’s warmer and a gazebo with string lights- can’t wait to go back when it’s warm out! The bedroom is cozy and comfortable, queen bed with four pillows, everything was just right. I slept like a rock. In the morning, Linny was kind enough to make me a delicious breakfast with eggs, toast, fresh fruit, and lots of coffee- so good. We all shared great conversation and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my day. They have the bathroom fully stocked up with towels and toiletries, and made sure I had everything I needed the whole time. Their home is in such a great spot. About an hour from Jemez Hot Springs, and a very short drive to cafes, gas stations, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I will definitely book again in spring or summer, so I can enjoy the area when it’s warm out. Linny and Michael are absolutely wonderful hosts, their home is comfortable and welcoming, and the whole experience was perfect. Thank you both so much!!

  • This place is a hidden gem, I was blown away by the stylish house, beautiful scenery, and the most hospitable hosts I've met through Airbnb. I can't wait to visit again!

    Craig2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Linny and Michael were wonderful and considerate hosts. Linny ensures you arise to breakfast and coffee with friendly conversation as an added bonus! The room was comfortable with lovely views of the foothills. A private bath with all amenities including blow dryer is adjacent to the bedroom. A beautiful hot tub and pool area are steps away. Restaurants, bars and shopping are just a few minutes away, while I enjoyed the peaceful quiet from their home. I look forward to returning to this bnb again someday!

    Shirley2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • First time staying at an Airbnb and I’m absolutely glad we choose this one! We had our own space, they give you your own freedom and space but also will ensure you they are there if you need absolutely anything. Both welcomed us in just like family and we even had an amazing breakfast cooked by Linny. This location was the best to star gaze at night especially in a relaxing hot tub. I plan to come back for sure. Don’t pass this opportunity up! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We are situated in a safe and peaceful neighborhood on the northwest side of Albuquerque. We are ten minutes from Paseo Del Norte with access to the I25/I40 and historic downtown. We have beautiful views of the Sandia Mountains to the east. and the Petroglyphs to the west. The neighborhood is very convenient, with shops and restaurants close by, as well as hairdressers and nail salons, supermarkets and gas stations.
My home is single storey, modern, clean, warm and well maintained. The bedroom is very comfortable, with a spacious closet and dresser. There is a fully stocked private bath. There is parking on the drive and you will have your own entry code to the house.
I live in a residential area, but there are some nice walking trails nearby and if you are into shopping, there's plenty of those! . We are not too far from the Tram that takes you up to the mountains, with its beautiful views across the whole city. I have brochures of various local attractions you can browse.
  • A pet friendly place with the sweetest hosting dog. The most comfortable bed , towels and delicious tea in the morning. Arrived after many hours of travel from abroad and was warmly welcomed home in the states. Would highly recommend this stay due to the lovely host. I would stay again when this area.

  • This is a great place for good views and adventures. If you love animals this is the place you will enjoy. It’s a stylish southwest adobe home with great spaces and use of kitchen. We loved our time with Marti and Liam and enjoyed getting to know them. They were so helpful and accommodating.

    Rick & Anna2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marti, Liam and their pets are the most friendly and kind hosts! Their house is located in such a beautiful and tranquil area close to 2 great restaurant that I ate at everyday- Abuelita’s and The Range Cafe. Marti has PIÑON coffee, her kitties slept with me almost every night, and the bed was beyond comfortable. Felt like a little piece of heaven on earth at such an incredible price. If I ever come back to Albuquerque, I’m definitely staying here again :)

    Vanessa2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stay with Marti several time’s a month (regular, local business trips to Albuquerque), and she’s wonderful as always. Her coffee is the best in the world and she always has a small item of food (candy, biscotti) for me and fresh flowers in the bathroom when I arrive. Shes’s lovely!

  • Marti was very accommodating, providing snacks, spring water and delicious coffee. We had the WiFi go out, but Marti went out of her way to handle it for us when she was away. The place was beautiful, with an awesome outdoor patio area with a view of the mountains — we even came across some wild horses! The location was off the beaten path in a charming village, but still close enough to the interstate to get everything you need. Highly recommend staying at Marti’s place if the mountains are calling your name and you want great hospitality!

  • Wow. Not only did Bill and Denise provide the best breakfast, catering to my gluten free and dairy free needs, but they also provided me with a bike for transport to and from my retreat AND gave me a ride back to the airport. They were very communicative and kind. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone but especially for people escaping the city; you’re soul will be rejuvenated in this warm hearted home.

  • Great place to stay! We were in town for a wedding and lucked out finding this gem. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We took advantage of Bill and Denise’s yard and spent each night looking up at the stars. This was a great getaway and we wish we had booked an extra day. Highly recommend!

The home has two rooms that are designated bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is an additional room with a separate entrance off the back patio that has a 55” TV, a desk with three monitors, and a sofa that fold out into a Queen sized bed. One bedroom has a full-sized bed. There is a King sized bed in the Master bedroom. The living room is roomy with a 16' beamed ceiling, reclining couch, and a dining table. The kitchen is fully functional with dishes and appliances.
Our home is located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It is attractive to those that wish to have a safe, quiet place to stay. The back porch has wonderful northern views that vary on the weather, sunset, sunrise, etc. There is no road noise. It is the perfect place to rest, retreat, or write that book. It is a great place to experience beautiful, starry skies. The home sits on a road that dead ends at BLM open space- wonderful for walking with the dogs and kiddos. Part of the attraction is that it isn't in a city neighborhood and is off the beaten path. The house is located 15 minutes from I-25. The drive is without stoplights and very little traffic.
The home is 15 minutes from I-25, the rail runner train station, restaurants, gas, etc.
  • This is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. The amenities were awesome the house was gorgeous, the view was fantastic as was the hiking right down the road. All. spectacular. Saw wild horses sitting out having a beer on the back deck. I don’t think you could get any better than what we had. Highly highly recommend it. Denita is an awesome host.

    Elise2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a quite, serene home in the foothills north of Albuquerque. Denita was great to work with with excellent communication!

    Brian2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fabulous! Denita was super responsive and gave us great tips throughout our stay. There was plenty of coffee, snacks, hot water, and relaxation. The house is nestled in the mountains and very quiet. It was only about 30 minutes to just about anywhere in Albuquerque. And the gorgeous drive is worth every minute. Check out Placitas Cafe and The Range for some good local flavors. In Albuquerque, we loved the bistro at D.H. Les Combres winery. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, this is your place!

    Megan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Denita’s home was the perfect weekend getaway. It was incredibly clean, lots of amenities, and just an overall amazing stay. Would definitely recommend her home to others!

  • Wonderful host, incredible responsive to all are questions. Had great tips of things to do. The house was exactly what we wanted, outside of the hustle but close enough so nothing was to far. Beautiful views and a wonderful home.

The view is amazing beautiful parking Beautiful house to stay in I highly recommend this vacation get away house. We definitely will be coming back!!!! Thank you so much denita

    Hannah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Denita's home quickly became our home. For some it may seem to off the beaten path, but for us it was great. We used to live in the mountains and dont mind taking a few extra minutes to fully immerse ourselves in the beautiful surroundings of nature. The stars were amazing, the decor absolutely beautiful, heated floors a bonus, and the snacks and personal note and gift were so very much appreciated. It was a wonderful spot to come home to each night after Petroglyphs, Bandelier National Monument, , MeowWolf and TenThousand Waves in Santa Fe, Acoma Pueblo, horseback riding and Old Town. What a spectacular time with my daughter, and Denitas home was the icing on the cake. Thank you!

    Elaine2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet, clean and lovely home equipped with everything you need. Denita was a awesome host and very responsive. She was also very helpful, by providing us some superb recommendations on where to eat and sights to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay again!

Great location on NM State Hwy N 14 (aka The Turquoise Trail) just N of Frost Rd. Abt 30 mins to Abq and 50 mins to Santa Fe. Apt is a single unit that shares the property with a ceramics studio, a hair & nail salon and a yoga & massage studio. Several restaurants & bars in the Sandia Park, Cedar Crest and Tijeras area, as well as an excellent grocery store. Apt has a full kitchen with dishes, cooking tools, etc. Towels & bedding provided. TV, wifi, parking. Rural setting, quiet at night.
Apartment shares the property with an old stone schoolhouse built in 1919, restored in 2008 and currently being used as a yoga and massage studio. There is also a hair and nail salon on the property. Both businesses are owned and run by local residents and are often quite busy during the day and early evening. Guests can schedule an appointment for hair, nails or a massage directly with owners. Most yoga sessions are open to the public.
An old neighborhood once known as San Antonito but now commonly referred to as Sandia Park. There are still many remnants of previous times. The Old San Antonito Schoolhouse, located right on the property, is a prime example, but there is also the San Antonito church and cemetery right across N 14, as well as many historic stone and adobe structures in the area.
  • I stayed in this apartment for several months on and off and found it comfortable, convenient, peaceful, and having everything I needed to feel at home. Sharon is a relaxed host who is easy to work with.

  • I stayed for over a week and the apartment is very comfortable, private and peaceful considering it is next door to some businesses. It is in a beautiful area, and there’s a grocery store and gas nearby. Sharon is a responsive and nice host and I’m looking forward to staying again!

    Erika2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place and a wonderful place to stay would suggest this stay for anyone.

    Jimmy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable space. My wife & I didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Full kitchen and Triangle Grocery is just 3 miles down the road. 30 minutes from pretty much any place in Albuquerque, yet the drive doesn't "feel" like 30 minutes to get there. If/when we return to ABQ, this is the only place we'll stay. Thanks, Sharon.

  • A delightful, private adobe guest house with all the amenities plus a lovely area it back to sit and enjoy the scenery.

    Robert2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita in Placitas, NM exceeded all our expectations. Located in a very nice neighborhood in the beautiful hills a little north of Albuquerque. The Casita was beautiful and very comfortable. It was a perfect location for the balloon festival and our travels to Santa Fe and Taos. Very spacious and a nice value for so much space.

    Swinton2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Charming casita perfectly located to acess all that the Placitas and Albuquerque area has to offer. A kiva fireplace, tile floors, great views over the mesas and Sandia Crest . Plenty of towels, a fridge, microwave, dishes, comfy bed make this a real "home away from home".

    Susan2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Close to everything, nice quiet neighborhood. Lois and Mark were fantastic hosts. You will not find a nicer more reasonably priced place. I highly recommend.

    Paul2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lois and Mark are warm and wonderful hosts. Their casa was homey, charming and very cozy. I love the skylights, decorations, big shower, comfortable bed with soft sheets, and creative touches throughout! The coffee was very good, plenty of tea choices including condiments like honey, there was homemade rhubarb jelly in the fridge, games and music - I wish I had more time to enjoy all the amenities provided!

    Janice2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lois provides an Adobe Casita experience that welcomes you to the mountains. This places is nestled into the mountains overlooking the city of Albuquerque, as well as, views of the mountains & mesas. The little touches of coffees, teas, condiments & bathroom supplies make it so easy to feel at home. Let me say though that Placitas is all about the views and this place has amazing views!

Up on a hill on the Westside of Albuquerque our house faces the Sandia mountains for the sunrise and overlooks the Albuquerque city lights at night. Pat Hurley park is a 4 minute walk from the house. We are 1 mile off of the Coors Rd exit from I-40, between historical route 66 and I-40. Old Town Albuquerque is 2 miles away, which is close to the Albuquerque Bio Park, Zoo, and Rio Grande River. Downtown is 4 miles away. Many local restaurants in our area and 66 bus runs on Central 6am-late night.
This is a simple, private room with a queen, pillow top, memory foam mattress. As you enter the house, the hallway is on your left and the bedroom will be the second door on the right next to the bathroom. There is a smart T.V. and Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the house. Pat Hurley Park is just down the street with a scenic view of the entire city. Two other rooms are available!
2 blocks from Pat Hurley Park with sencic view of Albuquerque. Mostly a quiet neighborhood street. You may park on the street in front of the house if there is no parking available on the gravel in the front yard. Recommended to bring valuables with you into the house.

  • Marti and Liam are such excellent hosts - I’m there semi regular “room mate” and being at their place twice a month is relaxing and comforting. Marti is super thoughtful and Liam went out of his way yesterday evening to help me fix a computer glitch with my Subaru. They’re great folks!

    Caryn2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I work part time in Albuquerque (live in Durango, CO) and Marti and Liam’s place is my home while I’m working. They are thoughtful, kind, and super flexible. Their place in Placitas is restful and beautiful - they are animal lovers and have 3 very sweet dogs and 3 very hilarious kitties - I’m a veterinarian so I love the company! Highly recommend if you’re in the area for business or vacationing.

    Caryn2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Marti’s is always wonderful. Great home, beautiful location with wonderful amenities. Highly recommend!

    Caryn2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • How is this place not booked 100% solid?? Don’t let the great price fool you—this is one of the loveliest Air BnB’s out there. Replete with the sweetest (well behaved) therapy dogs and cats. (Marti and Liam are awesome, too!) Snag it!

    Angela2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Marti and Liam are lovely people, as well as hosts. This is a beautiful, quiet, private place to stay in the Albuquerque area. Perfect for events at Tamaya Resort and the balloon festival. I highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely be back!

    Joanna2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Stop what you’re doing right now and book this! I’ve traveled all over the world and this is one of the most special air bnbs I’ve ever stayed out. The house is beautiful and the views you get to wake up to will take your breath away. Marti and Liam were so kind, helpful, but also not intrusive. There a few friendly fur animals that roam around the house. I’m so happy I decided to stay here opposed to in Sante Fe or Albuquerque, while still being able to drive a short distance and access both. If I find myself in this area I will certainly stay here again.

    Amanda2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough about my stay. It was more than I could have expected. The location and view are beautiful and peaceful. Marty and Liam were very welcoming to their home. "Mi casa es su casa" is what they convey and it made my visit so enjoyable. The house is beautiful and clean and could never compare to any hotel. The wild horses and fresh flowers were a wonderful bonus. Should I ever come back (and I would love to) I will make sure to book ahead to stay there.

    Judy2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Went to the Albuquerque balloon fiesta and Marti's was pretty close by. Directions to Marti's were perfect. I was expecting a beautiful place to stay because the pics are so nice, but I really didn't expect what was waiting. Such a beautiful home, amazing views of the surrounding mountains and a relaxed tranquil atmosphere. Liam and Marti are fabulous hosts, They truly understand "mi casa es su casa" The night skies are so amazing there and sleep time was peaceful and comfortable. If I'm in the area again, this would be my first choice. Thanks for making the time for Brianna and I so positive. Blessings to you both!!

Our casita is a small, relaxing haven minutes from everything Albuquerque has to offer. We’re walking distance to food, shopping, and the Park-n-Ride for State Fair and Balloon Fiesta! Its private, and has almost everything a traveler might need while still being minimalist and uncluttered. Its bright and clean, ready to make your stay unforgettable.
The casita is a stand alone building behind the main house of the property. While we share wifi, everything else is private for guests- it even has its own full size water heater! It includes one small bedroom, with a queen size bed and a closet (but not a lot of space otherwise). What the bedroom lacks in size is made up for in the larger living area, which has a futon for extra guests. The full bathroom comes equipped with everything you may need. The kitchen and dining room are ready for you to use, with everything you need to cook, reheat, or relax with. The table offers a nice quiet place to work when need be. Outside, there is a private gated drive way for guests to use: its a manual gate, so guests will have to open and close it themselves each time they come and go, but the added safety is there for any guests who wants it! There is also ample free street parking just outside the gate. There is a shared patio and lawn area, which we encourage guests to enjoy with us at any time!
Our casita is centrally located to everything in Albuquerque. Its walking distance to Uptown, Coronado Mall, Winrock Center, and everything they have to offer. Less than 5 minutes to the interstate, and from there its less than half an hour to all the major attractions! We’re off the beaten path a little, on a street that allows no-through access. Our street is quiet and friendly. The next door neighbor does have dogs that can get a little loud at times- but they go inside at night, so they shouldn’t interrupt any sleep patterns.
  • GREAT PLACE!! Clean, comfortable bed, great shower. Awesome parking behind a gate on paved driveway. Place is excellent and I highly recommend it. They included local info too, but I was too in a rush for this trip into town. Would definitely stay there again.

  • This place has the perfect private, close to businesses but quiet, parking convenience and plenty of room amenities. I will certainly keep this place in mind when traveling through Albuquerque again.

  • The casita was clean, it has all the amenities, and it's up to date. The place is one heck of a deal. Leah and Gary are great hosts. They're nice, helpful, and very responsive. I highly recommend this location to anyone who's thinking about staying here.

  • Well -maintained a private space. There's this window seat that you can pile pillows and blankets on for extra charm.
