Places to stay in Pine Hollow
Our place at the lake....fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, relaxing, ice cream and much more.. Three doors down to a restaurant and an evening fun. This place is good for a couple or solo adventurers. This adorably decorated cozy cabin has a full-size bed and a twin size bunk.
it's unique in so many ways: it's a rustic, cozy cabin in a fun tiny home...right next to the lake!! That's pretty unique!! This cabin will accommodate all your needs... full kitchen, bathroom and a cozy sleep.
We have so many things to see around the area... one of our favorite places to go is White River falls!! It's about a 15 minute drive, it's a must see!! Lots of wildlife around the lake.. deer, geese, ducks, horses, cows, turkeys and we have a family of bald eagles that dive for fish daily.
  • Super cute. Right by the lake.

    Cecilia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is appealing, clean and comfortable for two - maybe a couple plus a small child in the upper bunk, but eating space inside is limited to sitting on the end of the bed. A nice picnic table outside, though. We found everything just as claimed. Traci’s communications are fast and accurate. The lakeside location is beautiful, and the nearby Lucky’s cafe and bar is convenient and had a terrific owner and staff.

  • Cozy tiny house with lots of perks and amenities. Clean, comfortable, top bed is a bit sketchy to get to but works. Probably lots and lots of fun in the summer when the place is busy/happening.

  • I booked this place to avoid rain to the south. It was everything I needed Having no television and no WiFi was heaven. I was oblivious to D.C. insanity.

  • My girlfriend and I had a great stay at this little cabin. It was nice and quiet at night, and we appreciated the snacks and coffee. :) It took a second to find the little cabin at night when we arrived after dark, but eventually we did and there were deer there to greet us. The people nearby at the resort we're so friendly, and this was a great base camp for exploring around the area! The lakefront is so close, with adirondacks to enjoy the water and mountain view. Would definitely stay again!

  • I had a nice stay at the Tiny House! It may be small, but it had everything you need. I loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning & walking around the lake. The communication was great, check-in was easy, place was clean & I enjoyed my two nights there. I was happy to have the recommendations on where to go & what to see. Beautiful part of the country.

    Jodi2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying and we will be back every year!

    Lauren2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny home is super adorable and cozy!! Perfect location to the lake too. We enjoyed the little town parade, garage sales, lawnmower races and lazy time on the lake. It was an awesome weekend!!

  • We had a great weekend here! Didn’t get out and explore much but the massage chair and hot tub and pizza oven kept us occupied. This is in a neighborhood so it’s not the most remote location but if you are looking for a cozy spot this is a great pick!

    Laurel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful place with great log home/ cabin environment!

    Kirk2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the wood burning stove and the hot tub! The kitchen was perfect size and fully loaded with bakeware, it made cooking meals for friends really easy. We really enjoyed the porch and the peaceful neighborhood.

    Colette2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome cabin and great location! The cabin is very nice and cozy. The hot tub was great and a lot nicer than most hot tubs I’ve seen. My girlfriend and I made an amazing pizza in the wood fire pizza oven. Not too far from the scenic white river falls state park, which is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. John was great at communication and helped us with any questions we had. The experience my girlfriend and I had exceeded our expectations. Five stars!

    Jeffrey2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, huge log cabin with very well equipped kitchen, and loads of linens. Hot tub right out back door, large and delightful. Little wood burning stove, very cozy, central heating excellent. Snow shovel handy. Small market nearby, basics, no fresh produce in winter. Check driving conditions in winter. We would return!

Gorgeous Lake Front 2200sq ft home on Pine Hollow Lake. Sleeping for 8, full home access. 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms. Full wrap around deck. Walk off private deck where you are steps from the water.
Wake up, have coffee on the deck, go fishing, swim until your heart is content. The water is clear and steps from the deck. Please note, this is our family home, not a party house.
There is an RV resort and marina within short walking distance for motor boat, paddle board, paddle boat rentals. Restaurant, ice cream shop, bar and mini store as well.
  • Jamie’s place is incredible. I don’t want to say it, but the view is so much better in person! The location is perfect. Everything was incredibly easy about the stay. We had everything we needed and the kids loved having the games. Jamie was quick to respond to our questions. We had zero issues.

    Kassondra2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, wish we could have stayed longer.

    Peggy2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great quiet place to spend time with family , house close to the lake and have everything you need :)

    Vladimir2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Pine Hollow. Can’t wait to go back and we will definitely rent Jamie’s place again! Their house was very clean, has a fantastic layout and is well stocked. There’s plenty of room and the location couldn’t be better....we were steps away from the water and just a 5 minute walk to the marina which has a pub/bar, ice cream shop, a mini mart and boat rental. Their house is on a huge fenced in lot so the kids could roam around and explore! They also loved the foosball table, air hockey table, the Wii and the hammock! Advice: Bring water shoes, the beach is sandy with lots of rocks...same with the lake bottom. It was manageable without water shoes but uncomfortable for sure! Per Jamie’s advice (Thank you for that heads up!)...Definitely take your chairs and floaties down after coffee/breakfast to secure the beach spot you want. It can get crowded on busy weekends. You will want to do any major grocery shopping ahead of time, the mini mart nearby and a little convenience store in Tygh Valley are great for those last minute items but very limited.

    Lacie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This home is AMAZING! I couldn't have asked for a better home for our family vacation.

    Katie2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to bring you family! Right on the beach/lakefront - perfect location. Owner is quick to respond and is kind. Home is clean and beds are very comfortable. We see many more vacations in this home.

    Audrey2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place to relax! The house is just steps away from Pine Hollow Lake, and spacious with all the amenities you need. The lake is clean (but rocky- bring appropriate waterproof footwear) and the perfect temperature. There are a couple general stores just a short drive away, but best to bring your own groceries (especially produce). This was a perfect getaway for our family, and we can’t wait to go back!

    John2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and location. Lots of room and very comfortable with large fenced property. Looking forward to our next stay. 3 nights wasn't long enough.

Great house located right on the water!! Really close to Maupin for all your summer rafting fun. House has it's own dock for fun in the sun and water. Pine Hollow is a great relaxing place to check out the marina and restaurant or check out the lawn mower races in the summer. Close to Mt. Hood to hit up skiing and snowmobiling! House is very comfortable for 4+ adults and many kiddos. Relax and watch movies or head out and hike around. House has everything and is ready to go!!
This is a manufactured home that we have remodeled to make feel like a cabin on the lake.
  • Visitors can expect dirty but happy children after an afternoon of frog catching, peaceful and serene mornings on the deck with your coffee, comfortable and cozy beds, and a good selection of movies and games.

The Hideaway is a cozy studio cabin nestled by a spring. Step out onto your deck… there is a feeling of AHH in the wide-open ‘big sky’ vistas and refreshing air! Fields are teaming with wildlife and birds singing. Only a short walk away... is a Zen Garden nestled by a magical spring… walk on down into the beautiful orchard and immerse yourself into the quiet rhythm and enjoy each…peaceful…moment.
The cabin is situated on a 1000 acres to explore...plus you can also hike on Tygh Ridge Ranch... located in the hills above the farm. You simply walk through an open gate and there are canyons, springs ... petrified tree 'rocks' and interesting basalt rock formations. A wonderful place to be in the silence in nature....and to see the natural wonders unique to this land.
Nature's Hideaway is off Hwy 216 ...and is accessed on a graveled road. The neighbors are usually wildlife...mostly deer, rabbits and ground squirrels ... and occasional Alpacas...wandering in from neighbors - Imperial Yarn. This is a place to getaway from the neighborhoods.
  • We loved this cabin! The place was beautiful, clean and cozy. The host was very gracious and kind during our stay and had some excellent tips about the area. The land the cabin is located on is beautiful. Would absolutely recommend!

  • This is a gorgeous location, secluded and quiet. Beautiful surroundings with a million stars and no city noise. The space is just right for one or two travelers. The hostess is friendly and the home met all our needs for our short stay.

  • This place is a gem! Very secluded, fairly quiet and lots of wildlife right at your doorstep! Make sure to bring things to do because it is a very remote area with no tv (which isn’t always a bad thing!)

  • Perfect spot for tranquility. Well situated to head off to adventure biking, hiking, rafting etc. true gem. We’ll be back!!!

  • Loved this place! The owners have thoughtfully repurposed a church into a nature sanctuary with several rooms that can be rented, a large common area which included an up to date kitchen and an apartment that can be rented separately. The entire place was very clean and quiet and the back yard was beautiful. Location is near a small country store and a cafe that serves delicious food. Communication with the owner was easy, prompt and cordial. Very close to Maupin and a short drive to The Dalles. Will definitely be back!

  • Fantastic space!

    Lucas2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • My weekend getaway was perfect thanks to Laila and Mike! It was a special place equipped with everything - the apartment is a part of an old church converted into a retreat center. It has a really nice, private and manicured backyard where you can look at stars at night or do yoga in the morning (I had brought my mat). The church part also had a baby grand piano to play! Laila also had local tips on hiking trails, swimming holes (yes, swimming holes- such things are real), breakfast, water activities (white water rafting, etc) that was spot on. It was close driving distance to all activities but not in the crowded area offering both peace and quiet and much fun things to do. Laila was also super responsive and helpful in every way. Thank you for making my stay great!

  • The Tygh Valley Ranch Lodge was a beautiful space to stay in with a cabin like feel, but it had all the amenities one could ask for. The space was clean and had a very homey feel. The two cats residing with us were very sweet. Laila is a great host and welcomed us in for our stay, making us feel at home. I recommend this lodge for anyone going through the area!

  • Mike and Laila's place in Tygh Valley was absolutely wonderful and relaxing. Easy to pass by on the highway, Tygh Valley is a small community and we were so happy to have had the pleasure of staying in the town. Laila was easy to communicate and meet up with. The accomodations were clean, perfect, and just right.

You can sit outside and watch the deer go by and have a campfire or chill inside to a great selection of movies. The place was extremely clean and the owners were always quick to respond. • This place is a fantastic jewel inside a very small town. So close to fishing, rafting, as well as skiing/snowboarding and windsurfing. You have great views with rim-rock on one side of the valley and majestic rolling hills on the other. Seeing Bald Eagles hanging around the waterfall state park was magnificent, too!

The bunkhouse is attached to a big red barn and functioned as the milking parlor before it was repurposed and remodeled. Wake up in a delightful bed to cows grazing in the lush meadows and enjoy the lovely views in every direction.
The property is located in Tygh Valley and is only a few minutes from the general store and the stunning White River Falls State Park. The Deschutes River whitewater rafting hub of Maupin is just a 10 minute drive away. The barn is two hours from Portland and 30 min from The Dalles.
  • Fred’s place is comfortable and cozy, in a peaceful, quiet setting. Wonderful linens and pillows, cozy blankets. Clean! Lots of thoughtful touches.

    Linda2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the Barn and adjoining bunkhouse for a long weekend with 13 guests, and it was the perfect base for our weekend. We enjoyed lounging under the large willow trees, cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, and playing music in the game room. We would definitely stay here again!

    James2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Fred's beautiful barn, as we travelled around Oregon. The space was lovely and cosy, with a super comfy bed, in a gorgeous location - so fun seeing the cows in the field right outside in the morning! It was the perfect stopover point for us on our travels - we only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend Fred's place for any future travellers heading through Tygh Valley.

    Lianne2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special location. Approaching the destination you can already see the barn from a distance. It is beautifully situated in a very rural area. So, make sure to arrive at daylight! We would have had problems to find it in the dark. The interior perfectly matches with this bunkhouse: a lot of details, cowboy equipment, sheepskin on the floor and many other nice things. The shower is great. The kitchen would need some more equipment. We had a wonderful stay together with a group of cyclers who camped at the property. Fred is a wonderful and caring host.

    Birgit+Norbert2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The other reviewers weren’t kidding when they said this place is sparkling clean! I’m allergic to dust and dust mites and was a little nervous because of all the carpet, but had absolutely no problems! It was a perfect location to spend the night before a rafting trip the next day. It was quiet, serene, and had an amazing sunset. The shampoo, body wash, and candles smelled wonderful. Overall, it was a great place to relax. The bed was very comfy and the AC worked well. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Veronica2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved everything about this place. Amazing farm setting. So peaceful on a beautiful piece of property. The space was super comfy and had lots of nice touches. Highly recommend!

  • Great place to star gaze!

    Lia2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic host and a great place to stay! The entire place was super clean. The cozy comfort of the bunkhouse was more than I expected, and the host definitely went above and beyond! The first night I laid out in the grass and watched the stars, satellites and meteors pass by. It was so beautiful! The house is decorated to match the country feel. The furniture was super comfortable (including the bed). This was a great location in relation to Maupin! Not too far, but far enough outside of town that I could relax and feel in the country. I will definitely be staying here again!

Our beautiful rustic log and rock house is hidden away from it all on our private section of the White River Canyon. Enjoy the sunset on the second level deck overlooking the river in a secluded canyon!
Surrounded by the picturesque basalt rimrock of the canyon, the lodge is nestled along the White River. If you are looking to get away, this space is truly off the grid and is powered by a self-sustaining micro-hydroelectric system.
The property is located in Tygh Valley and is only a few minutes from the general store and the stunning White River Falls State Park. The Deschutes River whitewater rafting hub of Maupin is just a 10 minute drive away. The lodge two hours from Portland and 30 min from The Dalles.
  • We recently stayed here over Valentines Day weekend for a much needed getaway. We wanted to be away from people...just the two of us where we could hike, cook & just be together in a cozy place. This home far surpassed our expectations! I’m a interior designer & I have to say, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s out of a storybook romance, with the stone stairs & floors....the wood burning stove & covered porch, this home was a pure delight. One morning we heard wild turkeys outside our window and later on, saw numerous deer & a eagle on our hike. The hosts were great. We can’t wait to go back!

    Tara 2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This lodge is a hidden gem - it is remote, but if that’s what you seek it’s ideal. Enjoy coffee overlooking the sight and sound of the river, then enjoy a lovely hike through the canyon along game trails - if you look closely, signs (and possibly sightings) of deer, Turkey, beaver and bear are all around. The drive in is a two-track unsaved road, so best to have an off-road-capable vehicle. Highly recommended lodging!

  • We had our wedding here and it was better then I could have imagined. They were great to work with, very friendly, the property was beautiful and the house was amazing. We will definitely be reserving this house again for our anniversary

  • The property is nice and private. We had a good time swimming at The swimming hole on the property. Close to all the white water raft in and fishing. The home is furnished with everything that you need. Clean and beautiful

    Veronica2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! This cabin is located in a quiet and remote area so there is no need to worry about making too much noise. The deck on this place ended up being a great place to hang out and enjoy company. Everyone really loved the swimming hole near the cabin, it is a great place to cool off during the hot summer days. The cabin itself is amazingly hand crafted and one of a kind. Really made our stay extra fun. Our only complaint was the lack of any sort of air conditioning as it does get pretty hot upstairs. Regardless of the lack of AC, we will more than likely be staying here again.

    Scott2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful remote cabin. Beautifully designed and wonderfully maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing week away

  • Laila was a super host! We had originally planned on staying at her natures point property and was all set and ready to go. I of course didn’t check my messages till 3 days later and she had informed me that they had landscapers there and it might not be enjoyable. So she offered her Tygh ridge ranch suite and sunroom to us with no hesitation, even though we were heading there the next morning. She was very quick at responding and very easy to communicate with. She met us as we arrived onto the property, showed us around and made us feel very welcome. She answered all of the questions we had and gave us her phone number for an easy contact, Incase we needed anything or had more questions. The ranch was clean and very homey feeling, newly remodeled and I wish my fiancé and I could have stayed longer. If you like to be outdoors but come back to a comfortable, quite, enjoyable place to stay, this is the place to be! Amazing hike right down the road from their ranch with beautiful waterfalls and if you are looking for a crazy fun adventure, book a trip to go white water rafting on the Dechutes river in maupin. Overall great weekend experience and would recommend staying at one of Laila’s properties to anyone.

  • Tygh Ridge Ranch is a great lodge, with plenty of common space. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were all updated. Laila, the hostess, was very gracious and kept in constant communication with us, starting with sending us a message before we arrived to let us know about the weather, to giving us excellent driving instructions to the Lodge (which Google Maps would have gotten wrong), to offering us better, alternate accommodations upon arrival. We felt bad about arriving late (after 8pm), but Laila had no problems accommodating our late arrival, and still spent plenty of time showing us around. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

    Joanne2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a terrific time staying with Laila and Mike. They did an excellent job communicating with us and were very generous hosts. Their space was perfect for our needs and a wonderful getaway from the city.

  • My daughter and I came to Oregon for a wedding in Dufur and stayed at Tygh Ridge Ranch just 15 minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, and loved getting to know Mike and Laila. They were so glad to answer our questions and provide us with detailed directions to explore the area. Mike also gave us a short tour of the area around Tygh Valley where he grew up, and where he and Laila are involved in a variety of projects to revitalize the community. We made a few short trips off the ranch to see White River Falls, the Deschutes River, the town of Maupin and Mt. Hood. We also took a few short walks on the ranch and saw alpacas grazing near by. We bought breakfast and lunch food in Portland before arriving at the ranch because there are very few restaurants in that area. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the quiet, wide open spaces and chance to explore the area. We'd love to come back again to do more exploring! Thanks, Mike and Laila, for a great time!

    Tess2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Tygh Ridge Ranch was the perfect home for our Deschutes rafting trip weekend. The accommodations were comfortable and the location was perfect! We enjoyed exploring the beautiful ranch and the surrounding area. Laila went to great lengths to ensure we had everything we needed and more throughout our stay. We will certainly stay here next time we are in the area!

They were very helpful and gave us ideas of places to visit to really appreciate this beautiful area. This is part of Oregon probably does not get the recognition it deserves and is well worth exploring both in terms of its history and its plentiful outdoor activities.

Cows and alpacas dot the majestic hillsides and fields, while hiking trails offer breathtaking views here in Tygh Valley. While maintaining it’s rural and quiet environment, Tygh Valley is close to a variety of recreation and tourist activities. Maupin, considered by many to be the headquarters for Lower Deschutes fly fishing and rafting, is only 10 miles south of Nature’s Point. Maupin offers fuel, groceries, fishing gear, a handful of restaurants and bars. A few miles west, Pine Hollow offers a campground, lake fishing and recreation, a small airport, and a 9-hole golf course. Just under twenty minutes north sits the historic city of Dufur. Within comfortable driving distance, there are also a variety of wine tours, interesting restaurants, museums, and even a ghost town. For a great hometown meal, try Molly B’s diner, a six-minute walk (or two-minute drive) from Nature’s Point.
  • Laila was fabulous - a very attentive and personable host with a true wealth of knowledge about the area. The converted church is beautiful (with a particularly lovely outdoor area that we really never used because we were at our camp during most daylight times). It’s all chemical-free (no weed spray or harsh cleaners, etc) which makes it feel extra clean and safe, particularly for infants or anyone with health issues. The rooms were small, but very comfortable and there were plenty of showers, sinks, and bathrooms (many of which were wheelchair-accessible - meaning they were wide and spacious). We found it to be clean, quiet, and relaxing. The internet is a bit slow - but I think it’s slow everywhere out there. Also - no televisions, which is part of the retreat feel. The separate suite at the end (separated by three doors from the rest of the unit) was particularly nice for us as my sister slept apart with her infant and no one else even heard a peep from them. That unit has an additional kitchenette with its own fridge - perfect for storing extra baby’s milk. All floorings were either tile or hard wood, which added to the clean feel. I also thought it was neat to be in a historic building that has such deep roots in a small but vibrant community. Laura and Michael have done a great job of restoring it. We felt blessed to get to stay there! Thank you.

This grassy meadow camp is surrounded by basalt canyon walls and oak trees. There are four little ponds at this camping spot and trails to hike around our White River canyon property. This is a leave-no-trace campsite; pack it in, pack it out.
  • A gorgeous site! More than worth it. My friends and I were looking for a place to camp after our trip down the Deschutes and there was no better location than spring camp. It was perfect. The river was lovely, the trees were nice, and there were even deer running through the site. It was glorious. Will book again.
