  • Very nice environment! Very spacious living room and kitchen with direct view of the lake. The external environment is beautiful and peaceful. We stayed for three nights and our family loved it. The neighbour Jill upstairs was very enthusiastic, and he personally demonstrated to help us make a fire in the fireplace. Thank you

Tigh na Craig (house on the rocks in Gaelic) is a colourful village home overlooking the sea. The house is owned by an artist, and so there is original artwork everywhere. There is vintage furniture everywhere. Enjoy vintage vinyl collection, dvd and cd collection, Netflix and smart tv. Free wifi access. We are 10 minutes from a train station on the "Harry Potter" railwayline to Mallaig. You can get to Glasgow airport and the city of Glasgow on our little passenger ferry and rail connection.
I am an artist and live and work here but my accommodation is separate from the part occupied by guests. I offer guests , a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. You will have your own front door access, and access also to the garden and verandah. The house is centrally heated and there is a wood burning stove in the living room. I provide one basket of logs. Extra bags of logs available at £7.50 each. There is a smart tv there together with DVD, CD player and a record deck with lots of vintage vinyl. I have a Netflix account for your use. I provide tea, coffee. The decor is quirky and contemporary with vintage furniture mixed with the up-to-date.
Our village - Kilcreggan faces south over the Clyde estuary. It is about an hour and a quarter's drive from Glasgow. The Gourock/Kilcreggan ferry runs Monday to Saturday until 6pm in the evening. Timetable online. It is a passenger ferry and the crossing is 10 minutes in duration.

  • Very nicely presented place at a great, scenic location. Hospitality from Malcolm was probably the best I have experienced in my stays through AirBnb. Breakfast was very good too. Malcolm is great at making guests feel at home and suggesting local places to visit, with great knowledge about the area and Scotland in general. The place was very clean and all facilities were as expected. Overall a 5-star experience! Will happily recommend to everyone and personally stay over again, if we are visiting Glasgow/ Scotland again.

An hour from Glasgow and the airport, we have a centrally heated studio with double bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchenette. In addition there are two further bedrooms next door. It is in the grounds of a large Victorian house that we use for retreats in yoga, singing and the arts. The place is serene, with grand views over the Clyde estuary and good access to local amenities including shops and the pub.
A good sized room with double bed, small sofa, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table and 2 chairs. En-suite bathroom with shower. Kitchenette has electric cooker, fridge, sink and is well appointed. The cabin is within extensive grounds with seating directly outside the studio for your use.
The studio is 5mins walk from the ferry pier, bus stop, shops, post office, garden centre, pub, café and the sea. It has stunning views over the Clyde Estuary to Arran and the Cowal Peninsula. *Deep cleaned between each booking to ensure it is germ free!* With absolutely stunning views and idyllic sunsets I'm certain you'll be impressed with my home. Situated on the 1st floor of a stone built building, built circa 1860, it offers loads of character and an extremely relaxing and clean environment. I'd recommend taking a moment to read our reviews- we are extremely grateful and very proud of them all, we put a lot of work into making our home a perfect little getaway for our guests.
With features such as a real log burner, 49" smart TV, fibre broadband and comfort throughout you will experience a home from home stay to include a Kingsize bed with memory foam mattress, a very large and extremely comfy L-shaped sofa (perfect for a third person to sleep on), fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, high ceilings, many original features and character in every corner!
The neighbours are ultra helpful and always enjoy a wee chat, the local village store stocks everything most people would want and is thankfully next door!
  • Vincent goes above and beyond to ensure that his guests have all the information and amenities they need to enjoy their time in a beautiful apartment nestled into a picturesque landscape. • Went to Vincent’s apartment on Valentine’s Day with my wife to reveal the gender of our baby! If your looking for somewhere that is literally like a warm cosy home (so much so that you just want to live there) then I wouldn’t hesitate to book this one! The apartment is immaculate, it has an amazing sofa, tv, log burner and all the little extra touches that you would never expect. The bed is really comfortable and has a tv in the bedroom if that’s your thing! The views are great! The shop is literally next door so if you forget to bring anything with you it’s really handy. Vincent and his partner make sure the place has all your basic foods and more, great touches. We will definitely return!

    Elias2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful scenery looking over the loch when having your brekkie! Lovely touches, we went to celebrate my birthday and Vincent and Nicole left us wine and put banners up round the house which we thought was so special and thoughtful! Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to use the products which was really handy and unlike many other air bnbs we have stayed in! Great welcome folder which gave us a guide to the local areas! Got the bus into Helensburgh for a change of scenery - if you like a drink head into their Wetherspoons, £1.99 pints! We also went to the Rosslea hotel for afternoon tea - very well priced and lovely would definitely recommend! Can’t thank Vincent and Nicole enough for such a great birthday mini break! Will definitely be back!

Woodside is a stunning 1850s Victorian mansion. The beautifully renovated top floor apartment has two bedrooms and private bathroom. There is a seating area in the twin bedroom and a tea/coffee/snack area in the hall. An ideal base for visiting the area or for a stop-over. Grounds are extensive and views are breathtaking. Loch Long shore is at the bottom of the garden and there is an enclosed kids play area. Easy access to Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Arrochar Alps, Faslane and Coulport Naval bases.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, chest of drawers and dressing table. Views from the window are stunning. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, two comfy chairs, a coffee table and a wall mounted TV. The bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower attachment and, what we think, is possibly the best view from a bathroom in the world! The hallway has a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge and snacks. There is wifi, internet (apple) TV, central heating with a dedicated thermostat for your apartment. All towels and bedding, crockery and cutlery are provided along with access to a washer and drier. A travel-cot and bedding is available on request. The Airbnb apartment is accessed up a shared staircase (41 stairs) – our family apartment (not Airbnb) is on the floor below. There is an area in the entrance hall for coats, boots and shoes. There is also space for buggies or 2 bikes. The gardens are beautiful and are on ongoing project with many plants of interest. If it is the right season you will be given fruit/veg from the garden and greenhouse. Please be aware there are 41 steps up to the apartment so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
Shops - Cove Store is about 2 mins drive away. It has beautiful local produce and all general supplies. A small supermarket (Co-Op) is 10 mins drive away in Rosneath and should provide for most needs. Other local amenities include a pharmacy, butchers and bank in Kilcreggan. There are two local cafes and a fine dining hotel all within 10 minutes drive.
  • Jill’s place is perfect and in such a beautiful location. Even though we were only there for one night we had a great time. It’s super clean, with great little touches like tea, coffee and breakfast snacks. The room was so cosy and we had the best nights sleep. We would definitely love to return in the summer so we can make the most of the beautiful scenery on the doorstep!

    Emily2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! Jill welcomed us in person when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know. We had the whole floor just to ourselves, the rooms are lovely furnished and you totally feel like at home :) The Views especially from the bathroom to the Loch are stunning! There is a coffee machine, a small fridge, water boiler etc. - everything you need for a small snack or a hot beverage :) They have a cat called Bonnie - we are Fans! Jill always was easy to reach by message if we had any questions. She also had some great Tips for us, there was a lot of info material provided. We also went to a really nice local pub called the Creggans Bar in the small town nearby - that was a great experience . We Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Hopefully we will come back

  • Woodside Tower is really an authentic and special place, the house is very impressive and views from the top are fantastic. Our family loved it there. Jill is thinking about everything 3 steps ahead, and made our stay very smooth and nice. Kids got special treatment in toys, books, there are also lots of books and some games for adults. We were not bored a second even when stayed in all day because of the weather. I already recommended this AirBnB a lot :)

  • Charlotte's flat is very close to shops, cafes and public transport. It's nicely decorated, clean, well equipped and comfortable. It was very quiet as the other flats seemed not to be occupied. It's on a busy road, but we didn't hear any noise from the traffic – anyway, the bedroom's at the back, and quiet as it looks out onto a garden. There were just two of us and it was very roomy, but it would also be fine for four – there's just one toilet, though. There are two sets of stairs to get to it, which was fine for us, but it might not be for people with dodgy knees.

    Jennifer2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place, ideal for exploring the area whilst being in easy reach of lots of cafes, restaurants and bars.

    James2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this flat as a weekend get away. It is lovely, fresh and stylish in appearance and very comfortable. Really easy to get to, especially if you arrive at Helensburgh Central train station, it is a 5 minute walk along the street. Close to lots of cafes, restaurants and the water front. Easy commuter links elsewhere thanks to trains and buses - if you don't want to use the car. Lovely extra touches of all things Scottish which we loved - and we ARE Scottish! A great wee bolt hole and we wish we'd booked another night. If you are a light sleeper you should know that the combination boiler is located in a cupboard in the bedroom - pack ear plugs and you won't know it is there.

    Sarah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend Charlottes place to anyone. It was incredibly clean and tidy, and supplied everything needed for our weekend trip. It was also located very central in Helensburgh which made it very convenient to get around.

  • Stunning wee cottage. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough, clean, bright, everything you could possibly need. Beautiful views, quiet, lovely area. After a long journey it was a big plus to find fresh milk in the fridge, tea, coffee & sugar. The cottage had a very comfortable sofa bed, great oven for cooking dinner. Lovely bathroom, with fresh towels, toiletries. The cottage was very warm & private, with your own parking space. I will definitely be booking the wee cottage again, it's an absolute gem. Big thanks to our super host Kevin

    Kevin2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage has absolutely everything you would need, stuff we hadn't even thought about(salt, pepper, oil). And there was a fresh loaf and milk waiting for us. Even having the sofa bed pulled out it still feels spacious and not cramped whatsoever. The whole cottage was immaculate for us arriving and the shower is amazing, just what we needed after getting drenched walking the dog! It was our first ever Air BnB experience and it has set the bar very high! We will definetely be coming back. The weather was constantly raining for our weekend but the cottage is so cosy that we didn't mind what so ever. Thanks Kevin!

My attic flat is on the main road in Gourock, it's a short walk to the train station where you can catch a train to Greenock, Paisley (Glasgow Airport), Glasgow and beyond. The 2 bedroom apartment is in a smart new building, (the upper right hand flat in the photo) newly built by the owners, Gareth and Andrea. It is a short walk from the restaurants, pubs and wine bars of this attractive Victorian town. Despite being central the building is on a quiet street and the apartment has 2 off street parking spaces. The apartment is on the first floor, a private entrance leads up a wide staircase to a bright south-facing living space containing a fully equipped kitchen.
There are 2 bedrooms, one with a shower room en-suite and one full bathroom off the hallway. The kitchen is fully equipped, it contains a washer drier and a dish washing machine.
Helensburgh is known for its Victorian architecture. Amongst the fine merchants houses is the beautiful Hill House by Charles Rennie Macintosh. Within 1 hour's drive of the town there is beautiful highland scenery; the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a few miles to the east. Glasgow city centre is easily accessible with its fine culture, restaurants and shopping.
  • Great apartment close to centre of town. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Loved it!

  • Overall great place and value. Very clean and modern.

    Richard2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for the price. It's near a train station, the view is great from the bedroom, and Italo is very quick to respond if you have any questions. The hill up from the train station is absolutely brutal if you have luggage, so I'd suggest taking a cab the few blocks up if you're not sure you can make it up. The shower and the washing machine weren't working when we got there, but Italo responded immediately and got it fixed with no issues. Host is wonderful and the space is perfect if you want a quiet area in a beautiful city nearby Glasgow. I'll definitely stay again if I come back!

  • Great location and view. Bus stops close by and amazing buildings. Very quiet and near some great pubs and lots of food. So lovely quiet and there are some very long stairs that take you towards the water that are just beautiful. Even inside apartment very quiet and has spices and pots and pans and excellent WiFi. Would definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet.

Delightful one bedroom garden cottage ideally placed for exploring Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland while close enough to Glasgow to allow easy access to the city by road or rail.
Attached single storey cottage with double bedroom, shower room, fitted kitchen diner and conservatory set in a private walled garden. There is no private parking space but there is ample, free on street parking.
The cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a short, flat, walking distance to the small town centre and two minutes to the sea front which is lined with shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are two train stations, Helensburgh Central to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Helensburgh Upper for the West Highland Line to travel north. You can also travel to Glasgow on this line but there are fewer trains. There is a good tourist information office in the town, a small cinema and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed 'Hill House'. There are two supermarkets within walking distance and a larger one on the outskirts of the town. There are also two petrol stations a short drive from the cottage. Helensburgh has two sailing clubs. The area is great for walking and cycling. There is a cycle path to Loch Lomond and beyond and good local walking trails. The John Muir Way starts in Helensburgh. If you bring bikes and are interested in cycling then I can put you in touch with local cyclists who can give you guidance about some of the best local routes. Bikes can be hired from Magic Cycles based in Bowling but you should book in advance in the summer. Check out their website.
  • We loved our stay here. Great location and a good base for exploring. Linda's place was very comfortable and really quiet. Linda is a lovely host who really wants to make sure you enjoy your stay and she provides everything you need. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

    Gavin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s place was absolutely amazing! It’s basically being home away from home. The best Airbnb we’ve been so far and we’ve been to quite a few.

    Catherine2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • So much about this place was outstanding. Linda was such an unbelievable host – she thought of EVERYTHING! I was pleasantly surprised so often at all of her thoughtful touches and things she remembered so that your stay is the most comfortable- what a pro! Didn’t hurt that she was also very nice to talk to :) The house is spotless and very comfortable immediately. It is obviously a cozy, small place, but it is perfect.

    Lora2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is located just outside of the centre of Helensburgh, about a 5 minute stroll into the centre. A lovely little cottage with everything you would need for a quiet getaway to Scotland. Milk, juice and breakfast bits were a lovely extra touch, as were the umbrellas!

    David2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s flat was lovely - incredibly clean, homely and full of nice touches to make the stay extra special! Great location right by the water and near to Helensburgh which has some nice pubs and cafes. Would highly recommend!

    Lucy2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage in a very good location for travel to the Loch Lomond area and western Scotland. There were lots of amenities on offer, and we appreciated the little jug of milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of tea after a long drive up. Everything was clean and in good order, and the bed was very comfy. We would definitely recommend 'The Little House' to other travellers.

    Cherie2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is a true gem right in the heart of Helensburgh, just a few steps from the water front. The conservatory is absolutely beautiful and makes it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. Helensburgh is a quaint little town with very nice restaurants and it's in the perfect location to head out to Loch Lomond and the Highlands. Communication was easy and Linda was extremely welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at Linda's place! :)

    Freya2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time in the little house. The house was super clean and comfortable. Linda responds within minutes if you have a question. I would recommend to stay here to anyone! Just a warning for people taller then 1.95m. You will not fit in the shower.

The flat is over two levels and has lovely views. It is a quiet location, however it doesn't take long to travel to Loch Lomond National Park (15 minutes by car) and a regular train link to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands.
Rhu is a lovely peaceful village with plenty to explore nearby, walking, biking and hill walking. • The annex is a wonderful place to stay! We were sad to leave. It is comfortable and feels very home like. The location is close to town and anything you need, yet out of the bustle and very peaceful. Claire was just a message away and always eager to help with anything. It is such a beautiful village with views of the loch and mountains as a background.

    Melissa2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Claire is a fantastic host, and neighbours Rosemary and John are equally thoughtful and kind. Rhu is truly quiet so you'll have restful sleep, and there are lots of great walking paths around for days when you don't want to venture too far. The flat itself is fully equipped for cooking, laundry and cosying up. Big windows let in plenty of light and you might spot deer or foxes crossing the garden. Thoughtful touches like flowers and shortbread biscuits really made me feel welcome and at home. Of all my Airbnb hosts Claire is far and away the best - you're in for a treat if you stay here!

    Gabrielle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was one of my must-stay experience. The house is located in the up-top hill with an amazing view of the entire town and the sea loch. I highly recommend Claire's house. she is such an amazing host and her home is perfect, fully furnished. Everything was very clean and she had arranged everything that was necessary for breakfast (milk, egg, bread and more). she is more than willing to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. if you're here on your way to Scotland, this place is accessible to all the tourist attractions. We had good time in Scotland.

She was easily contactable during our visit for any questions we had. The apartment itself was stylish, very well-equipped and comfortable- lots of little extras made it feel like a boutique hotel experience! Am Meadhan is centrally located, so perfect for the good range of restaurants and coffee shops that Helensburgh has to offer. The train station is nearby should you want to venture further. Thank you both for letting me stay here :) Aaron

  • What can I say about Marks place, stayed there for two weeks. Nice and warmly place and quite and relaxing. The kitchen has everything what you need for cooking. The bed is lovely and comfortable and living room is a nice size, the couch is comfy as well. All in all I had a fantastic stay. And to top it off, you have a nice Italian around the corner which makes some nice pizzas also Chinese and a chip shop which are all good.

  • Had a great time staying at Mark's flat, we had everything we needed and was confident due to Mark's speedy responses that if we needed anything it would be sorted quickly. Check in/out was very quick and easy.

  • Mark’s flat is in an ideal location close to bus stop, train station, bars & restaurants. Saying that, the area is very quiet. The flat is really comfortable and clean & Mark has put a lot of thought into what his guests need for their time there. We would definitely recommend Mark’s flat to others.

  • I had a great, short stay at Mark's place. He responded really quickly to a short notice request to stay and the flat is a short walk from the station so was easy to find. The flat is spacious, with everything for a comfortable stay and is really well placed for getting around in the region. I would stay again and recommend it to other business or leisure travellers.

Victoria Crescent is a 1 bedroom flat on the 1st floor of a tenement building in the award winning village of Kirn. It’s got everything you’ll need for your stay including washing machine, dishwasher and a small office space, right down to USB plugs in the bedroom to charge phones and tablets! There is a post office a general store and a coffee shop in the village and the passenger ferry to a Gourock is only 1 mile away. The flat has a fold out bed that would be suitable for 2 children.
This apartment has stunning views of the sea and is situated in a quiet location. Perfect for a cold beer and glass of chilled wine watching the sunset and boats go by. You ll even see the famous Waverley paddle steamer pass heading down from or up to Glasgow. .
We are close to both ferries that serve Dunoon. 1 mile from the passenger ferry and less than a mile from the car ferry. In Kirn itself there several shops ranging from cafes, post office, general store and off licence, bakers, florist, wool and crafts shop, and dentist . The town of Dunoon with many other shops and services is a short 5 minute drive and about a 15 minute walk along the promenade which is a lovely stroll on a sunny day.
  • We needed a few days away and my partner remembered how amazing the forest walk up Pucks Glen near Dunoon was, so we found this airbnb not far away and with good bus links to the glen. It was a cold rainy day when we arrived with the ferry, and so getting into the flat was like a dry warm haven. It was very comfortable and spacious with a convenient kitchen and a very comfortable sofa in the living room. The living room also has nice views of the water. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
