Glamp Idy has always and will continue to provide our guests with the peace of mind knowing that we completely disinfect our listings after each and every guest. Cozy studio cabin, perfect for getaways great for Solo travelers, and couples. We love this cabin for its cozy comfort. It's perfect for just chilling out with someone, or by yourself. It's a perfect little get away. But if you need more space check out our other listing Emerald Cabin and The Patrician!
Cozy and welcoming, walking distance to town. Feel at peace in our lovely little studio. We have really tried to create a space for you to just unwind, chill, nap, relax....recharge! Whatever you choose to do or not to do we would love to host you!! See you soon!
Quite neighborhood, although we are not in the heart of town we are close in proximity and there are businesses close by.
  • Great!

  • This cabin is a cozy gem for two in the heart of the town of Idyllwild. Mike and I had a great time just chilling and unwinding from our busy city life. Would definitely return:)

  • This little cabin is perfect for a solo or couple’s getaway! The bed was unbelievably cozy and the amenities made my trip much easier, as a vacation should be. Thanks Monte and Jenn! Five star hosts!

  • My boyfriend & I enjoyed our weekend away from San Diego while staying at Monte &. Jenn’s. Check in process was easy and the cabin is just like how it was described. But of course it beat our expeditions. We loved all the thoughtful touches, coffee in the morning on the patio, Netflix before bed, bringing uno to the brewery and walking everywhere we went. Thank you again!!

  • Thrilled that we had this unique opportunity to find solitude and serenity! Amazing hosts, we were so amazed by all the little touches they put into their hospitality. Truly had everything we needed and more. Appreciated their eco-friendly ethos, the special toilet was very easy to use with clear instructions. Our dog also felt right at home - thank you for the little doggy biscuits!

  • Probably my most favorite Air bnb experience. Lovely little cabin in the woods. Beautiful property.

    Lisa2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely perfect! The hosts were more than helpful, easy to contact and quick to respond. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I plan to be back as often as I can

    Nicole2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice cabin in the woods. Decoration is very cute, bed is comfortable and everything is very clean and thought of. The Tiki house is fabulous as well, there are plenty of games to play with and nice sofa to rest on. My husband and I were there for his birthday and were absolutely delighted by the place. M&M are very nice and give you recommendations on where you can shop and eat and instructions about how the cabin and appliances works, they are also available if you need. We will come again to wake up in the forest and enjoy Idyllwild ASAP, thank you.

As you enter this private guest cabin, you're greeted with an amazing view of the woods and Lily Rock through a wall of windows. We're in love with the architecture of this house, the quiet surroundings, and the proximity to town and hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do! Instagram @idyllwildcabanita
The guest suite is private and quiet but still a short walk into town. The studio features a king bed with Boll and Branch sheets and Pendleton blanket for coziness. The bed faces out onto a wall of windows with amazing view towards Lily Rock...quite a treat to wake up to! A Nespresso machine and pods are available for morning coffee, and a small fridge, sink, and microwave round out the kitchenette. But, you'll find great restaurants within a short walk to the house and you'll definitely want to head into town to experience the charm that is Idyllwild! We'll have a list of our favorite local spots. Toiletries and very cushy towels are provided so you'll feel pampered and relaxed. WiFi available.
Idyllwild has some of the best hiking and mountain biking anywhere, but if you'd rather hang out in town there are so many great options to keep you entertained. We'll have some suggestions for you for great local restaurants / bars/ arts/ music!
  • Me and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed this cozy treehouse stay. It’s the perfect spot for 2 if you’re looking to head into the mountains.

    Corey2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ya’ll should stay here! If you are looking for a place that is peaceful and private with a super unique vibe, this is it!

    Milissa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cute space, we had not the best weather but still made the best of it - everyone in the town is so nice!

    Shelley2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - great views - close to town!

    Lisa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Jen’s cabin. It was clean, stylish, comfortable. THe square footage is not big, but the high ceiling and the large view windows make it feel very open. When we visit Idyllwild next time, we would like to stay at Jen’s place again.

    Jennifer2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Love this spot. Quaint space with a stunning view and close walk to town. Would recommend and stay again.

    Daniel2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • You will absolutely be blown away. The place is so pristine and the view is breathtaking. Jennifer was an excellent host - she answered all my questions and helped us have a smooth arrival. The instructions are very clear and we were able to check in after dark with no issues. There is a microwave, sink, and refrigerator at the cabin - perfect for what we needed. The space had lots of thoughtful touches like warm lighting, coloring books, games, an extra blanket, and closet to hang up coats. There is an excellent view of Lily Rock just up the road from the cabin, too! We loved our time at La Cabinita and cannot wait to return!

    Gabriella2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabinita was just perfect. A little hidden gem with amazing views. The home was clean, cozy, relaxing and conveniently located. There is no TV but no need with the record player, fireplace and views we were all set. The host knows the town well and it shows. The tips they provide are great for the perfect weekend exploring Idy. I definitely recommend the cabin and the town. You won’t be disappointed!

The Patrician has always and will continue to provide our guests with the peace of mind knowing that we completely disinfect our listings after each and every guest!! With its own private entrance separate from the main house along with a huge deck all to yourself. You enter the space through the privacy gate/fence and emerge into a space completely disconnect for life’s hustle. The deck looks out to our backyard filled with the natural beauty of the pines. Relax and enjoy!!!
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! Walk everywhere...... This is an open master suite with a living space, walk in closet, sunk in Jacuzzi tub, double sinks, standup shower and water closet. Very private with its own entrance and deck with fence separating you from the main home. At the patrician we put extra time in the importance of creating a private space for two love birds to escape it all. Enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face sitting on the spacious deck sipping morning coffee. Watch a movie on the 55” TV or just simply nap after a stunning hike in the back county. It’s up to you.
This is the neighborhood I grew up In and the home. I loved it because I could walk to town! Our neighbors are AMAZING. Spirt mountain retreat is our closest neighbor and when the moon is full you may get to experience a drum Circle join if you’d like all are welcome! It’s awesome...
  • Great place to stay if you are looking to get away from the city. Monte & Jenn offer a very clean and cozy place to stay. They offer many great amenities as well. The house is in a great location just walking distance from great restaurants and also many hiking trails. You will need a permit from the local ranger station in order to hike.

    Angel2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded our expectations in every way. Monte and Jenn provided a beautiful oasis to take us physically and mentally away from all the chaos of the world, even for the short amount of time we were there. Check in was early and super easy, we were met with a cozy fireplace and beautiful room, they had us covered in every way- from a small flashlight on the side table in case we wanted to walk into town after dark to a basket full of necessities, bath bombs and dry shampoo. We can’t wait to come back!

    Kelley2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was the perfect spot and it wasn’t a far walk from the lovely Idyllwild town. The features of the room was just as you see in the photos and I adored the decor and scenery of the room indoor and out. It was so homey and I was really happy to see snacks and amenities available (such a nice touch) because I had forgotten a few items from home and I was peckish after a long drive down. I’ll definitely be booking with Monte and Jen again in the future!

    Andrea2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place in quiet peaceful surroundings. Spacious, indoor/outdoor, very enjoyable.

  • The cabin is the perfect distance for a very quick walk to nearby restaurants, shops, coffee, etc. It's a small space but well stocked and cozy, and it stays very warm inside even when it was quite chilly outside. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm looking for a peaceful getaway.

There's a great heater that was efficient at heating the space and plenty of games/local menus/maps inside to give you ideas of what to do. Within walking distance to downtown Idyllwild and an easy stay altogether. Totally worth it and would highly recommend.

Per statewide stay at home order we are only accepting reservations for 1st responders, healthcare workers, essential workers and CV19 self quarantine guests only right now. Please inquire and explain the reason for your stay. Riverside County Cert # 71-262 Thanks for your cooperation.
Close to Idyllwild Arts and one night bookings make it perfect for catching one of the many free performances offered at the world class institution, music, dance, theater, come up for an evening under the pines and get your culture on!! Unique cabin from Idyllwild's early days. Set up nicely for 2 people, but has a loft area that can accommodate tiny folks. Set under the pines and close to all this little town has to offer. You just don't find them like this anymore.
  • My partner, our dog and I had a wonderful, warm, cozy time in this tiny cabin. It definitely seems bigger once you're inside. There were many thoughtful touches to the place, and it seems like everything was well planned and thought out. Extra linens, towels, paper towels, soaps, etc. It was cleaned immaculately and the heater was already turned on when we arrived. We never once were cold, even when we enjoyed a couple days of snowfall. It was a perfect place to hunker down. Thank you again!

    Amanda2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was really great and was understanding of certain circumstances. The cabin was sparkling clean and the bed is super comfy. You won’t want to leave! Would definitely stay here again next time in Idyllwild.

  • Thank you for the wonderful stay! It was a great experience. Location wise, its a mile away from the town. Everything you need is in the cabin. Quiet safe environment!

    Justine2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great for a quick getaway. It’s a very cozy cabin so I wouldn’t recommend more than 2 people. The town is a short drive away or a 15-20 minute walk. Mark was great! The kitchen was more stocked up then i had anticipated so that was a nice surprise.

    Christina2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay with our mini schnauzer mix! The cabin is very close to the town center but it was difficult to walk to town because there aren't dedicated sidewalks or walkways. We enjoyed our stay, Mark's home is nice and cozy.

    Raymond2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, great location. I took a solo trip and spent only one night but I could have easily stayed a week. I even had a lovely cup of coffee in the morning that was provided.

Emerald Cabin has always and will continue to provide our guests with the peace of mind knowing that we completely disinfect our listings after each and every guest. Walking distance to town. Open floor plan featuring 1 bed 1 bath and an amazing loft. Newly renovated, its mountain charm shines through with the beautiful honey pine vaulted ceilings and rugged beams. It has a mountain cottage vibe with all the amenities and comforts of home. If emerald is to big check out our little cabin.
We really wanted to create a comfortable relaxing space that was a far cry from a scene out of The Shinning. ( You know the lodge/cabin that hasn't been touched in over 40 years.) So we put lots of thought and love into doing just that. As beautiful as all that wood was we had to brighten it up with some painted. What a transformation. WOW! Now the amazing ceilings pop and it's openness and beauty really shine through! We change out all the old lighting fixtures to modern industrial to blend with the wrought iron of the beams. Renovated the kitchen removing cupboard doors and cupboards to open the space and a New sink/faucet were a MUST!!!! I could go on and on but you get it ;) Anyway... We hope you love The Emerald cabin as much as we do! Hope to see you soon.
The neighborhood is my neighborhood . I grew up less than a half a block from Emerald Cabin. It's walking distance to everything yet you feel like your very remote. The noise level is very quiet, you might hear a car drive by or and occasional dog bark. Our neighbors are near but don't sit close and we can't see into each other's homes as our lot is pretty large and the house sits back off the street. We ask that you do respect the neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • I really enjoyed this cabin abd would love to return in the warmer months. Attention to details all around and the decor is nice and cozy! A confortable vacation cabin for couples, friends or small family! Very convenient location as well!

    Mackenzie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home, well decorated, and cozy. So close to the center of town - within walking distance of everything. Hosts are very communicative!

    Megan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable cabin that is conveniently located near the town center! Clean and comfortable! Had a wonderful stay thank you again!

  • Great cabin close to the heart of Idyllwild! We enjoyed sitting on the porch with coffee, walking into town for food, and the short drive to hikes during our weekend stay. Small thing to note: the place does noticeably smell like its wood-burning fireplace, which didn't bother us too much but could be problematic if you have a sensitive nose.

    Nathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cozy charming space! Great location, walking distance to all you need. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!

    Lauren2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at Monty + Jenn's cabin! Very close to town, comfy and cozy amenities, and they were very responsive to all our questions. Would highly recommend if you're planning a trip to Idyllwild.

Relax and enjoy nature at our beautiful, tranquil, lovingly remodeled A-frame cabin, now with a brand new expanded back deck! Within walking distance from the center of town, it's perfectly situated on a quiet street amongst the trees, buzzing with blue jays and hummingbirds. Curl up by the fireplace and enjoy surround-sound tunes, or grill some bbq after hitting the nearby trails. As a creative couple ourselves, we designed this space for romantic getaways and creative retreats.
We built this home with creativity in mind. So if you’re looking for a place to be creative in nature, look no further. Follow snaps of our cabin on Instagram at @idyllwildaframe *We newly installed AC & heating throughout the cabin.
We are walking distance from the center of this idyllic town and a short drive to two gorgeous lakes. It’s the perfect location if you want a retreat but also want to be close to town for dining and adventuring. Here are some of our favorite spots: For coffee, The Town Baker (have a homemade pastry while you’re there!) and Mile High Cafe have awesome brews. Our favorite bar, Idyology, is just a 5-minute walk down the road. It has live music, a fireplace, a gameroom, full dinner menu and fun decor. We love it there. On the weekends, look out for our furry Mayor Max! You’ll spot him in the back of a pickup truck, dressed very responsibly in a tie. He’s always down for a photo op. Want the best chocolate milkshake ever? Visit El Buen Cacao. Trust us. The best breakfast burrito is the aptly named Badass Breakfast Burrito at Idyllwild Bakeshop & Brew. Grab a flight of microbrews at the Idyllwild Brewpub- all brewed on-site, great for after a long hike! For a mild hike that’s kid-friendly with incredible views (that still deserves a beer afterward) we recommend the Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail. When you park your car to hike, you’ll have to display an Adventure Pass on your car, which you can purchase for around $5 at The Village Market. There are two grocery stores in town: The Village Market has more specialty/ organic options and firewood. Fairway is larger and has all of the basics. We hope you enjoy this special town!
  • We had such a relaxing few days at the A Frame! It was such a cozy and quiet space, which is exactly what we were looking for. We loved sitting on the deck soaking up the sun and listening to music throughout the cabin. The loft was also welcoming and comfortable to sleep in. The views and sounds of nature provided an excellent backdrop to get away from the city. I also loved the fact that there is a full kitchen to cook in and a fireplace. Samantha has created a perfect space that feels like home. We will definitely be back!

    Dan2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Samantha’s place was fantastic. Very artistic and cool decor. Every detail feels carefully curated, but in a livable and comfortable way. Well-outfitted large kitchen, beautiful back deck, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and spotlessly clean. It’s a quiet spot on a windy road just a few minutes from town. And she was great about communicating and checking that we had everything we needed after we arrived. Super cool spot all around.

    Sam2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the A-frame! It was cozy, comfortable, and we immediately felt right at home. There's such a great aesthetic and attention to detail all around the home. Everything we could have needed was already provided--from seating to matches for the fireplace to the solid record selection. (The surround-sound in the bathroom and kitchen was a plus!) The kitchen was well-stocked with pots and tools to make a great meal. We sat out on the deck with a coffee during the warmer daytime, and also enjoyed the snowfall the next day. The house was easy to find and very convenient to everything one would need or want, and Samantha was super communicative and helpful throughout the process. Already thinking about booking it again!

    Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely recommend, this amazing place! My husband and I stayed out here for our honeymoon and we loved it! The place was super clean, had great views and had an amazing atmosphere! The kitchen was our favorite place in the home, it was an amazing experience to cook in the kitchen while hearing all the amazing sounds of nature. The beautiful little town of Idyllwild, was super welcoming, perfect for date night or a relaxing walking around the little shops. Over all, we fell in love with the place! Like I said we absolutely recommend this beautiful place. Samatha is amazing, she is very quick to reply and she gave us so many ideas of things to do around town! Once again ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

  • Samantha’s cozy A-frame is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. There’s so much attention to detail in the decor, and it has all the amenities needed for a weekend away. A quick walk to town, yet secluded in the woods. We hope to make a trip back in the spring to get use of the new back deck (it was snowing while we were there, but we did attempt it!) We’d absolutely book again!

  • This place is magical. Honestly, you don’t even have to leave this home. We enjoyed all of the special touches from the hot cocoa to beautiful fire place and the list goes on and on. My family and just had the best time ever. Literally all we needed to take was our clothing and food. The house provided everything else. I have a feeling we Will be back again soon! Thank you so much Samantha for all of your hospitality!

  • Samantha’s Idyllwild A-frame is such a charming treasure. It’s even larger than we expected. From the front porch to the rear desk and every interior space between, this home has been curated with a very authentic mountain feel. We loved the openness of the space and all of the cozy touches like ambient lighting. We enjoyed proximity to town and all of Samantha’s recommendations while we were there. This place is a must stay!!

  • This is an enchanting, charming, romantic and cozy oasis. We wanted to extend our stay because we were so happy there, but they unfortunately already had new guests coming in. The house is only a 5 minute walk to town and we felt completely secluded in a forest even though it’s just right off the main road within civilization. The house is well maintained, and it felt like we were in a high end boutique cabin. If i could dream of a house to build, that would be it. The interior was clearly designed with love. The place is not only beautiful with awesome art, but it feels so homey at the same time. The shower was hot, and even when it snowed, we were able to turn up the heaters and the place just felt so cozy and warm. The hosts: Michael and Cat were very responsive and accommodating. The town: So cute and quaint. I loved walking around, seeing the mountains and getting that “small town” feel. The house is close to a bunch of hiking trails as well. We can’t wait to come back and stay here!

  • This is a very clean, well thought out cabin. We had a great time hiking nearby, walking in the backyard to the creek, and relaxing by the fireplace. Wonderful getaway!

  • A must stay! A true escape from the every day to a beautiful and relaxing space. Excellent and helpful hosts. Everything we could have wanted and more!

    Alisha2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by Michael, the owner with some delicious garden grown mint spritzers. He let us in and was so kind to brief us with the details for Owl-Pine. We had a generous amount of wood for the wood burning fireplace and also starter kindling. The kitchen was a perfect size with vintage stove and cutting block countertop. There was an under counter glass door fridge with separate freezer. So much space to store or produce and perishables. The bathroom was spacious with laundry machine hid in a closet. Great to freshen up stinky hiking clothes! The cabin was on a 3 acre wooded lot next to the gorgeous Strawberry Creek. It was heaven following the stone footpaths down to Creek. We also could walk right to town! We really enjoyed the record player and collection. The bedroom is high up in the loft, so it was perfect temperature and the bed was large and so comfortable. I especially enjoyed the beautiful stained glass windows allowing the morning light in above the bed. No better place than the Owl-Pine.

**DUE TO COVID-19 EXTRA CLEANING AND DISINFECTING BEFORE ALL STAYS** Wood and stone, mid-century sanctuary sits down in the forest on a spectacular, private 3 acre property with nothing but nature as far as the eye can see. Cedar, Manzanita and giant boulders. Epic views of Mt San Jacinto Peak, and sunset views towards the ocean will make your troubles fade away. Hand built in 1979 by a master violin maker, and meticulously renovated with modern luxury details. A
There is a beautiful, yet semi-long and semi-steep pathway from the garage up top to the house down below. Please be prepared to make this walk. This house has an open floor plan, with a bedrooms situated on each of the three different levels. There are no doors except on the bathrooms, which provides a communal experience. This home is 1600 square feet, big enough for 6 people, yet cozy enough for 2. To better understand how unique and wonderful this property is, please read the reviews online and the guest book at the house. This is a very special home on a large piece of unencumbered nature. There are very few homes on the mountain with this level of privacy and solitude. Enjoy!
The Violin house is surrounded by forest and California Chaparral hillside. Homes in this area were originally built as creative retreats for artists and professors associated with Idyllwild Arts Academy (previously called ISOMATA and part of USC) which is just down in the valley below. During warm months, it's possible to hear exceptional live music recitals from the deck at the Violin House, emanating from Idyllwild Arts. It's just a 5 minute drive to the center of Idyllwild. The house is up near a ridge, looking down on a large, wide open valley with views of the mountain peaks towering above in the distance. Extremely private, serene and natural.
  • Perfection! Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! This home is magical. On secluded three acres... this is our go to spot anytime we want to renew our souls from the city!

    Jacqueline2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The violin house was just as we'd expected- but better because the hosts were so accommodating. Helped us when we couldn't figure out the fireplace, and quickly came to unlock the door when we unwittingly locked ourselves out. The space was very unique and beautiful and we got a great workout walking up the hill!!! We will be back.

    Leann2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed on Airbnb. Feels like you are in the middle of wilderness with a gorgeous view of the forest right from your bed yet it’s super close to the town and all the other attractions around. If you are planning to explore Idyllwild area and lucky enough to find this gem available, don’t think twice before booking it. Mike was super quick to answer all my questions and I will be back as soon as I can for sure.

    Bulut2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

  • Perfection! On secluded 3 acres, with gorgeous views, the home is so beautifully made....it is in such harmony with nature! We will def be back! Just a beautiful peaceful place!

    Jacqueline2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our personal experience was great. The hosts were extremely responsive and thoughtful. There was enough space for everyone to have their own privacy even with the bedrooms being semi open. Everything that people have said about the view is true, the amenities were great (even down to the nespresso milk frothing). All essentials were there and more. There was a heater that was very efficient in addition to the wood burning stove. I will say, the pathway down is no joke. I am not in top physical shape and cannot bend one ankle due to an old sports injury BUT it is paved and is manageable if you’re willing to take your time and look at the beautiful environment. A very steep driveway was WORTH every extra moment needed, and any little exertion to manage it. If you’re an abled body person you will be totally fine, I’m not and I was able to carry my luggage up and down. (slowly) This place was great and I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Idyllwild!

**DUE TO COVID-19 EXTRA CLEANING AND DISINFECTING BEFORE ALL STAYS** Cantilevered & perched on a protruding boulder at tree level, this is Dennis McGuire’s first house built on the hill. With clear day views to the edge of LA and the beach near Laguna, this California-Zen sanctuary is a unique architectural gem. The House's prow extends on a direct angle to the summer solstice setting sun. Exquisite architectural details. Airbnb guests have exclusive access to entire property during their stay.
Architectural wonder, full of natural light and epic views in all directions. Downstairs bedroom has a protruding boulder built into the room, and the treetop views are epic on the giant window seat. Intricate woodwork all over. Every detail and decor designed for maximum zen. Central heat, central air conditioning, wood burning fireplace, 2 bathrooms, indoor sunken jacuzzi tub, top of the line hoti tub on deck, outdoor BBQ, full kitchen, wifi, etc. Truly a peaceful retreat for two couples, and one of the grooviest Cal-Zen houses around.
Our area of Pine Cove is extremely quiet and strikingly beautiful. This is one of the best views on the hill, especially at sunset (100 mile westerly views) and in the evening (epic stars). The perfect spot for quiet getaways, creative retreats, couples, singles, etc. Quiet time is between 10-8.

Comfy cabin in the heart of Idyllwild sleeps four. Apparently the hwy 243 is back up and running! The 74 from Hemet has also been fixed and is open 24/7. Another great way to get to Idyllwild is to GPS to Anza which is not very far from Hemet, and from there you take the 371 to the 74... a lovely drive through the Anza valley and won't take too much longer.
This lovely home sleeps four. Super comfortable laid back environment with an updated kitchen and bathroom. Relax on the porch and breathe in the fresh pine air. You'll find the quiet soothes your every worry away... The house is on a fenced half acre so your dog will have as much fun as you! Walk a few blocks and you have all the conveniences of a most friendly and quaint town center. Restaurants, a movie theater, coffee shop, health food and grocery stores, pizza place, post office, art studios...you'll find it all within walking distance. Walk just a block further and make your way down to Strawberry Creek. And of course there are walks and hikes and mountain biking trails all close by. Tahquitz Peak, Lilly Rock, Suicide Rock. There's a Ranger Station just a few blocks down the road for hiking tips or you can check out the nature center as well for trail guides. There is Fulmor Lake to play in or fish, or rent a boat on Hemet Lake just a 15 minute drive. So much to explore in this beautiful enclave! The house has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds. The attic is carpeted and comfy for kids to play in. There are some fun board games downstairs. And lots of videos too which you can watch on the tv up in the attic while you lounge on a beanbag chair... We want to mention that we don't have AC. A few folks have been disappointed about that so we want to make a point about that. We do have two fans, and we find that if we open the windows in the evening it always cools down usually into the 50's or 60's at night. But for those of you that really enjoy having the AC on, this probably isn't the spot for you! This home is still a bit of a work in progress.. But nevertheless, it is equipped with the basics and it's a comfortable and lovely spot for low maintenance types who are content with the simple things in life! (i.e. no cable tv...though we do have internet service!) I try to be as flexible as possible with the check in/out timesl, and if I don't have other guests checking in or out I am happy to accommodate early check-in... But in many circumstances I will need to adhere to the 3PM check in and 12PM check out times...Thank you!! (During the Holidays I generally stick to a three day minimum stay. I do consider one night rentals, but generally don't book those far in advance. If your trip is over a week away, I usually ask for a two night minimum, but if it's coming up soon and the place is available I'm happy to rent for one night! Thanks for understanding!)
We love that we can walk to town! We are so close to the shops and restaurants, yet still immersed in nature.
  • Alix was amazing and super easy to work with! The place was great and had a huge yard for my dog which was awesome! Loved visiting this home, idyllwild was gorgeous!

  • Comfortable cabin in easy walking distance to town. The living room has big windows that allowed us to really be in the trees and watch the birds.

    Amy2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend here! It’s so close to everything that we were able to walk almost everywhere. It rained quite a bit while we were there but our kids loved the attic where they could run around. If you have small children, I recommend taking baby gates for the stairs to the attic. We used ours the entire time and had a blast with the attic space playing games and watching movies provided by Alix. I was grateful for the local rundown left on the fridge and we took Alix’s suggestions of where to eat and shop, all good suggestions! We’ll definitely try to stay here on our next visit!

Please note, we now follow the CDC guidelines for disinfection of all surfaces. Also, we require 24h between bookings, so there will be no prior guest the day you arrive. Well… not actually a tree house, but you'll feel like you're in one. Nestled behind two huge boulders, on a quiet street, lies this 1938 vintage cabin, with views of tree or sky from every window. 10% county tax included.
Large living room and open kitchen, with an island that is great for cooking and entertaining. A beautiful restored Wedgewood stove is the centerpiece of the kitchen. There is an old oak pub table, with a unique mica hanging lamp, in the dining area that can extend for seating up to six people (vintage folding chairs available). Upstairs master bedroom has en suite 1/2 bath, Casper bed, and reading area with a claw foot oak reclining Morris chair. The other bedroom is larger, but is open to the stairwell, so not quite the privacy of the master. Downstairs bath has a claw foot tub with shower and mosaic tile floor. Coffee beans and a grinder provided. We have a French press and 4 cup coffee maker also. Gas BBQ on the deck. No frilly curtains, kitsch or tchotchkes… just classic cabin! As noted in our house rules, pet owners are not allowed to instant book. $40 pet fee per booking. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if the cabin is not booked consecutive days, but early check-in on Sunday is rare. Just ask the day before you arrive.
Ten minute walk to the wonderful Mile High Cafe, and another twelve minute walk into town along the Strawberry Creek trail.

Welcome to The Bunkhouse at Wylld Lily Gardens! We are located in Fern Valley, one mile to the village also a mile to hiking trails. The Bunkhouse is a studio located next to the main cabin, with complete privacy to come and go as you chose or relax in comfort in my wild mountain garden. Smoking is not permitted inside the bunkhouse. PCT trekkers are welcome, but back packs are not allowed inside the bunkhouse. After unpacking they can be safely stored nearby. No pets, sorry.
Within the bunkhouse we have tried to provide all the creature comforts of home within its cozy space. There are 2 Twin beds, one extra long, and both are equipped with comforters as well as heated mattress pads for warm sleeping on winter nights. The bathroom has a walk in shower. The kitchenette has a mini freezer/fridge, microwave, electric try pan, tableware, fast heating electric kettle for coffee, tea, cocoa, which are included. A wall hung table folds down with two comfortable chairs for cooking, eating, or game playing. Hair dryer, tv with Roku, wifi, and a charging station for all tech! I request that there is no smoking inside the bunkhouse, but an ashtray is on the patio table just outside your door if you are a smoker. Please use caution with fire on our mountain! I have a full service generator that keeps electricity going if SoCalEdison needs to turn off electric power. That's a real comfort! Regrets that dogs are not allowed. Two people only.
Wild Lily Gardens is named for the Humboldt Lily, a California rare wildflower which flourishes here in great abundance. Bloom times vary, usually starting in early July, lasting for several weeks. Another fabulous bloom is The Rose, a Newport Fairy heritage climbing rose that spans over 80 feet, covering parts of the bunkhouse, woodshed, and main cabin. In May it is abloom with light pink roses and is truly a spectacle that has cars screeching to a halt. Other wildflowers are on the property at different times starting with thousands of daffodils in early Spring. Blooming through summer are lilacs, lupine, penstamon, yarrow, and more! The waterfall on the front patio creates a sense of tranquility and also attracts the many beautiful birds we enjoy here on our mountain paradise. Resident greeter is Caesar, a Springer Spaniel who loves guests here in our mountain retreat, as do we! We warmly welcome you to share the peace and tranquility of our little piece of paradise in beautiful Idyllwild, one mile closer to heaven, where Life is Good!

  • Thanks for everything it was great!

    Jose2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jeri and Caeser were my first AirBnB hosts and they have set the bar exceptionally high. Their hospitality was second to none. It was my pleasure to rent their bunkhouse and I will definitely be back .

    Alfredo2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely, cozy cabin in a beautiful mountain town. The bunk house had everything we could need (and more) and Jeri was kind enough to warm it up for us and provide heated blankets, and TONS of local tips. The hikes were really beautiful, close by and not crowded at all. Jeri and Ceasar were the best hosts!

    Hanna2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We will come back any time. Jeri is the perfect host, the place is perfect to rest, have a hot shower, watch a movie and is close to everything. We recommend this place on a heart bit. We had a great time. Everything is perfect

  • A bit of an unusual layout, but overall, a nice little place just minutes from downtown Idyllwild.

  • Ishay is a wonderful host and maintains a cozy little place to get away from the bustle and reconnect with nature.

    Greg2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • As us wished,Ishay has a nice and comfortable house. We enjoy our stay in Idyllwild.

    Jie2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was our home away from home. My toddler and I just needed a few days away from the city, and Ishay's place was the perfect spot to take up in. It had a perfect sized kitchen, bedroom, and little family room for us to play and watch our Netflix in. Lots of space for our baggage and hiking gear. Enough space for our food stuffs. Even though the lower portion of the house is shared with the top property, we never ran into other people or heard other people living above; It was perfectly our own space. Communication was perfect. WiFi was fast. Smart TV was very handy. 12/10 will stay here again, when I need another mini-vacation. Thank you so, so much, once again, Ishay!

This spacious A-frame home is equipped to handle a quiet couples retreat as well as family gatherings. Bring your dog even, for a small pet fee. Looking for a smaller cabin vibe? Check out our Raccoon Rock property! https://airbnb.com/h/raccoon-rock-cabin
Secluded on half a acre of pines, Raccoon Ridge is a modern A-Frame hideout. With 1960 square feet, Raccoon Ridge sleeps up to 6 people (1 King bed, 1 Queen size bed, a Bunk Bed featuring 2 Twin Size beds). Gather the family in the main living space, complete with 55" smart TV... Or retreat to the "den" to listen to music on the blue tooth enabled audio system. The crackling of the fireplace in the den sounds good too. Hot Tub? - Yeahman. Wood burning fireplace? - Yep. Wireless internet? - Yes, and it works surprisingly well. Raccoon Ridge also features 2 large patios so you can enjoy the trees and some big rocks and giant squirrels. No kidding. BBQ on the back deck or take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen... either way, you are killing it. Good job. You picked the perfect place!
Hidden in the trees of PineCove (6200 ft elevation!), Raccoon Ridge is a quiet get away while only a 5 min drive to Downtown Idyllwild (we timed it!). Want to stick around the house? We don't blame you. If the hot tub's forest view isn't enough - hiking, camping, rock climbing and mountain biking are all a short distance away. Like right down the road short distance away.
  • What a great place to stay! My kids and I had so much fun playing in the snow, soaking in the hot tub and playing games by the fire. We made all our meals in the kitchen that had everything we needed. The home is decorated so cute and had plenty of games to play. The property was nice and the kids had fun exploring around and found a little hill to sled down. Perfect place to escape for a few days. Would love to come back in the summer.

    amber2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the art, lounging near the fireplace gazing out the windows at the treetops, and the jacuzzi of course! We took sweet fairy photos in the backyard;) Had a great hike at the nature center down the street. Would love to return!

    Tracy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z

  • Great place! This a a spacious home with a relaxed but clean feel to it. Loved the immediate NetFlix on tv and of course the hot tub. We slept super cozy under the warm comforters and just loved having enough property space to feel it. Location is great close to town but still a dirt road spot!

    Mike2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy place for the family to hang out. The deck and hot tub are great! And all the touches like space heaters in the bedrooms and tons of blankets on every couch/chair made it great to snuggle up. Love the smart TV and sound system.

  • My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Coon Ridge. It’s the perfect getaway. The host replies back quickly. The place was clean and I loved that the house came with a manual book (made it easy for check out).

Cozy Lakeview Lodge is tucked in the trees and only 5 minutes from town! The space is cozy and private with beautiful views. Our property is unique as we have easy access parking, and we’re not surrounded by neighbors. You will feel like you’re in a hidden hideaway. The streets are plowed from highway 243 straight to the cabin during the winter. We have 3 parking spots in front of the cabin. Only 1 might be available during peak snow season!
If you’re looking for a true mountain cabin, look no further. Upon entering you’re immediately greeted with wood paneling from floor to ceiling. The fireplace is grand and surrounded by windows that showcase the beautiful mountain views. The master bedroom is modern with a cabin feel. The bunk bed room is inviting with fun flannel bedding and bright red curtains. Kids will love this room! The large deck is the perfect size for entertaining with plenty of additional seating. The kitchen is fully stocked to make most meals. (Please message me for kitchen supply questions.) The cabin has a SMART TV with Netflix, Hulu, etc. This place is truly loved and our goal is for you to love it even more and book a second stay with us!
We’re located 2 miles from town where you’ll find adorable restaurants, shopping and coffee houses.
  • Private cozy getaway cabin. Beautiful views. Perfect for some peace and quiet.

    Stacy2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect size cabin, beautiful views, cozy fireplace in a quiet neighborhood. If you are lucky, and visit during the right time of year, you may get to experience a lovely snowfall... we did! - if so, best to have chains and/or all wheel drive as there is an incline to get to the cabin.

    James2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this place to all! Very cozy, perfect in a winters storm with a stunning view in the trees. We will be back!

    Nikki2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • It's a wonderful little cozy place to stay close to town!

    Kutter2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was like paradise to us. Tayler has truly thought of everything you might need. It was such a plus that it’s pet friendly! Parking is super easy, I was worried we would be parked either uphill or downhill on some dark unpaved road but there was a nice carport. The cabin was clean, warm, and cozy! We spent most of our time on the deck admiring the views and breathing in nice crisp, clean air. I would like to say this might be our annual anniversary destination!

    Thea2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy with beautiful view of the mountain and surrounded with pine trees. The air was so fresh for you to spend your time on the patio. Location is convenient to downtown and all the hiking trails.

    Phuong2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy cabin, perfect to get away from it all. Tayler’s place is a short drive to town and great hiking and the perfect place to relax afterwards. We will definitely be back!

    Manny2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We were SO pleased with this cabin. We have been coming to idyllwild for 10 years now and believe me when I say this is THE place to stay! My family (and of course our doggy!) were so cozy and comfortable here. The cabin was clean, welcoming and had all the comforts of home. Check in and out was a piece of cake and communication with the host was never a problem! I made multiple meals and never ONCE thought “oh. I wish I could find....” everything was exactly where I needed it! The beds were comfortable and the views from the back patio were breathtaking. Parking was simple. It is very easy to end up renting a cabin that is almost impossible to access (because of a steep driveway). But. With the cozy cabin you simply park. Walk down a few steps and POOF - your home!! We are already planning our next trip!!

  • This cabin is adorable and just a walk to town. There’s a handy little cabin guide that’s really helpful and the hosts are great at fixing any minor problems and fast replies. I had questions and minor problem at check-in and the hosts were really nice and quick to fix and answer. The location is pretty and quiet, but close enough to everything else in Idyllwild. Highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again!

  • Amazing little spot, great weekend getaway

    Simon2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a great weekend stay at the cabin. Chose this place for the hot tub and proximity to the town and didn't regret it. The hot tub is steps away from the bedroom out on the porch under the tall trees. The cabin is a few minute drive from the town. Would not walk from cabin to the town at night because it is dark and the roads are narrow, but it could be done during the day. We chose to drive just because it is a short trip and the town has plenty of parking. The hosts were very responsive to all of our messages, including an after hours request from us for the code to unlock the hot tub. We enjoyed playing the games in the cabin and DVD selection. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

    Conor2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend this place! The house is beautiful and cozy, with everything you’d need. The town is super close and very picturesque. Thank you for a great few days in the mountains!

  • This is a darling cottage with all the right amenities that you will find yourself wanting to just hang there. Food in town is a bit expensive so, we made several meals at the cottage. The host has done a great job of appointing just what you need to create great meals (just bring your own spices). It's cozy, delightful, very clean and just the right size for 2.

    Cynthia2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is an absolute gem! Modesty's place is perfect for a getaway to the mountains. It is very stylishly decorated but also very comfortable. It is a small but very cozy space, perfect for two people. The bedroom had a comfortable bed with fresh linens and cute side tables and lamps, there was plenty of room to put our bags and not feel cramped. The bathroom is large and Modesty has organic or natural products for guests to use. There was also really soft and warm robes as well! The kitchen has all of the necessities and even a couple of extra items that made cooking that much easier. Very close (about a 5 minute drive) to the Nature Center to get on some great hiking trails. About a 8-10 minute drive from Idyllwild town square. Modesty put so many small touches like a beautiful table setting, soft blankets, fluffy towels, that it really felt like we were the ones that were being treated to a special weekend. We hope to be back soon and to stay at Modesty's place, if it isn't already fully booked!

There is a table for dining al fresco, L-shaped outdoor seating and a swing just for gazing at the stars. Wrap yourself in silence; the only sound you will hear is that of foraging woodpeckers and nuthatches, or happy squirrels scurrying about. Celebrate wilderness in this cozy, secluded retreat!
Windows on all sides provide views of trees and distant vistas. while the open design of the living and dining area brings the spacious outdoors inside. Furnished sparingly for clean lines, it is easy to breathe and relax. The porch and backyard are enclosed to keep your little ones in. There is a pellet stove and additional wall units for heating each room. Two bedrooms - queen size and full size beds; one bath; living room with sleeper sofa; well appointed kitchen with dining area; large deck with outdoor eating area and lounge furniture. Superb views.
The neighborhood is a mix of year-round residents and vacation homes, very quiet and friendly. There are hiking and bike trails close by. The last 1000 feet to the cabin is via an unpaved road that a sedan can navigate. The cabin does get snow and may require four-wheel drive capability. In the winter, a local snowplow provides service for a fee.

  • The Cabin in the Sky was absolutely amazing to stay at. It had an absolute beautiful view from the deck during the day and night. You must spend time to enjoy the views. The inside of the cabin was also really nicely decorated and clean. I cannot recommend this place enough! It was a wonderful getaway from the city. We caught a bit of snow, but there are heaters in each room which kept us warm and cozy. It definitely feels like you are secluded since you are surrounded by trees. It was possible to drive in with a 2WD, but if you can avoid it that would be best. Thank you for everything Mary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would love to return again.

    Maria2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so serene. It’s surrounded by huge pine trees which offers plenty of seclusion. Every amenity you have at your house can be found at Mary’s place. We were so impressed! Wonderful game selection, the wood pellet stove provided lovely warmth and was easy to use and the cabin was very close to the local gas station / market. Great mountain getaway!

  • My wife and I stayed at the Cabin in the Sky for two nights in early February to celebrate her birthday. We found an inviting, warmly-decorated home stocked to the rafters with essentials. The deck is every bit as spectacular as it appears in the photos; the trees growing right through the boards really make you feel as if you're right in the heart of the forest. The neighbors are close enough for comfort, far enough for privacy, and essentially invisible from the house, giving you a feeling of seclusion that is rare in any accommodation. The views of Hemet down below are equally awesome both in day and nighttime. Our visit coincided with a cold snap and temperatures barely rose above freezing, but the central heating was up to the task, and the individual bedroom heaters made the freezing nights comfortable. Owner Mary was responsive, kind, and generous. We had a wonderful and memorable time here, and we are certain to return.

Los Coyotes Cabin is a two bed, two bath lean-to Scandinavian style cabin located in the quaint, serene, and beautiful mountain town of Idyllwild. Sitting on a half acre of wooded and secluded land, Los Coyotes Cabin is ideal for those who want to "head up the hill" to unplug, relax, and find peace in the forest. Well behaved, potty trained four legged friends are welcome! The backyard is fully enclosed with a 3 foot fence. See more pictures on Instagram: @loscoyotescabin
Our very special retreat is on cul-de-sac that spills into the National Forest. Enjoy mountain biking and hiking trails just steps from our front door! One of the most beautiful sunsets on the mountain can be seen from the beginning of the trail. This original 1960's cabin is the perfect base camp for nappers and adventurers alike. At 1,200 square feet, Los Coyotes Cabin is suitable for up to 4 guests. The main floor of the cabin features a living room with a leather sofa, wood burning fireplace stove, and a 55" Roku TV that is ready to stream all of your Netflix faves (Netflix / Hulu subscription included). French doors off of the living room open directly out to our expansive deck that seems to be everyone's favorite hangout spot. Decked out with a BBQ, dining table, Adirondack chairs, a cone fireplace, and views for days, this is where everyone likes to finish their day while watching the sun disappear between the pines. Also on the main floor, Los Coyotes Cabin has a bathroom featuring a bathtub and large windows with views of the pines for those who want to "soak in" nature. Our kitchen is connected to the living room and is fully stocked and ready for you to make those photo worthy mountain meals. We love spaces that people can gather to enjoy meals, play board games or share stories and our quaint dining room off of the kitchen is just that. It also features a custom mountain view stained glass window and french doors that lead to the deck. Head upstairs and snooze away in the master bedroom with a European king sized bed and 50" Roku TV. Views of the pines and manzanitas that fill the grounds can be seen from the large west facing window. Warm sun fills the room in the afternoon, making it the perfect place for those post hike naps. The upstairs bathroom with a tub and shower can be directly accessed from this bathroom as well as the upstairs hallway. The guest bedroom features knotty pine walls, a small reading nook, and a fort-like feel. With a full size bed and a Roku TV, this bedroom is the perfect cozy space to rest up before the next day's adventures. East facing windows with wood shutters welcome in the morning light. Los Coyotes Cabin is a space we've always dreamed about sharing. We've visited so many inspiring places that have sparked our need for adventure and love of nature, we hope Los Coyotes Cabin can do the same for you!
Drive 6 minutes into downtown Idyllwild for a meal, a movie, the farmer's market or to check out an art exhibition. Head to Lake Fulmor just down the hill (5 minutes) to fish, kayak, or read a book on a bench by the water. Or just relax by the fire in the cabin... we wouldn't blame you!
  • The best decor. Great albums. Quick responses. THANK YOU!

  • We had a wonderful time at the cabin during our first stay in Idyllwild. We will definitely return and hope to stay in the same place next time. The house was just perfect for what we needed. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. :)

  • Los coyotes cabin was amazing! We had a wonderful time. The place was sparkling clean. We were welcome to bring our dog. The yard was fenced. The cabin is beautiful. They have toms of games. They also had really great quality shampoo and soap. The beds were great too. Not soft and the bedroom is really dark if you close the blinds. Perfect to relax!!! The kitchen had everything we need. We cooked all the time. They also have a bbq. The deck is cool. It is very close to the city. It is a nice hike by the end of the street. The house was very warm at night. The shower was amazing. The cabin is also well decorated and has this amazing feeling. We totally recommend this place. We will be back soon!

  • Tommy & Mallary’s home is the perfect woodsy getaway. Amazing trails just minutes from the house. House was spotless with all the amenities you could ask for. Huge deck with outdoor fire pit and string lights make it an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy being surrounded by pines while you sip morning coffee of an evening glass of wine! Highly recommend!

  • My brother and I were looking for a spot to meet up for a few days and this was a great choice. (Two hours from LA where I live, two hours from San Diego where he lives.) By day, it's just minutes from a number of beautiful hikes (wish we could have explored town -- another time I hope). At night, we had planned to go out for dinner but the kitchen was so well stocked and the fireplace such a nice draw, we didn't want to leave. Tommy and Mallary were accommodating, letting us grab a park pass a little before our check in, and also accessible, there was an issue with a smoke alarm beeping when we arrived, and we were able to solve it quickly. I would definitely recommend their place to others. Thanks!

    Jamie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovely cabin. Our puppy had the best time there and loved the big year they have. Tommy and Mallary are very helpful and responsive. We will love to visit again sometime!

  • Awesome spot, better than the pictures showcase. Outdoor lights on the patio, outdoor grill worked great, record player, all the supplies to start a fire easily, rooms were clean and beds were really comfy. Highly recommend, this is the best place in the area.

Come get away in our lovely mountain modern cabin in Idyllwild. Our newly remodeled cabin is the perfect place to relax, disconnect, recharge and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Perfect for a couple’s getaway! During the day, hikes, walks and town center are close by, and at night, our cozy cabin gives you a great look at the stars. We invite you to enjoy our spectacular cabin and enjoy the charming town of Idyllwild.
This is the Red Door unit of our Retreat House. The Red Door is in the same structure as our other unit (Little Yellow Door) however, there are no shared spaces besides the walkways and parking areas. The Red Door unit is above the Yellow Door Unit. Provided is a queen sized bed and a single sofa bed. Our retreat house has a full functioning kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Parking is available and close to the cabin. No dishwasher or laundry machines available.
There are other cabins that we own on this property! Because all the cabins are on the same property, all the cabins fall under the same address. Please look for your cabin with the specific Red Door. There is also a sign above the doors that have the name of the cabins, and this listing is Retreat House. However, each cabin is separate and has space between each other. They are secluded and have no shared spaces.
  • The red door is a comfy one bedroom, one bath cabin. Might get claustrophobic after a few nights as it is tight, but overall it served its purpose in a very beautiful setting. The decor was charming, and the giant bell was awesome. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water, a small but cozy living room, full bath, and fully operational kitchen. You could actually argue the kitchen is a little overkill for the size of the space, but if you like to cook, there’s a full size range. We didn’t cook here so we can’t comment on the supplies in here specifically, but hopefully the owner will add a full list of those soon. There’s built in heater in the living room, but only a space heater in the bed room, which made the February nights a little chilly. The bathroom could use some improvements, at least in terms of amenities - no hand towels, no wash cloths, no hair dryer, no curtains, and a toilet that was apparently incapable of handling toilet paper (though moderation appeared to be answer here). No cell service and wifi that was spotty at best, but we knew that going in. One heads up if you’re staying here next: There are barely any three prong outlets, so bring some of those 3>2 ground adapters. And an extension cord if you like powering anything bedside. Overall a good experience - would def stay here again.

  • Emma's place was a perfect quick getaway for my boyfriend and I. We only live an hour away and it was so nice to be away from the desert and explore the snow! The cabin was a great size for us and being able to take my dog made it extra special and what helped in choosing her place.

    Juliana2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here with our dog on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The weather was perfect with the snow and we had so much fun playing in the surrounding forest area by the cabin. The cabin is cozy and quaint with cute vintage decor. We had everything we needed. Our favorite part was sitting at the table by the window and drinking coffee/eating breakfast while the snow fell. WiFi connection was in and out but that’s ok it wasn’t really needed. The closeness to town was great. The bed could be a bit more comfortable but that might just be our personal preference. We look forward to coming back another time! Thanks Emma!

    Ashley2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming one bedroom cottage. If you stay during the winter months, start warming the place up first thing before night falls. Close enough to town if you need any amenities, but far enough away to feel peace and quiet of the trees around you. Clean, new kitchen range and microwave made it very easy to cook and warm up my meals. Internet is available, it's not lightening fast, while streaming a movie there were a couple pauses, but that's not a downer, just sharing in case you need super fast speeds for working. The pillow-top bed was wonderfully comfortable and the pillows were both firm and soft. Love when there are good pillow options!

    Mary Q2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • I’m recommending this place to everyone. It’s small, but not cramped. A cozy place to sit by the window and eat, sit in the little couch nook and read, or hang on the patio and enjoy the quiet. My pups loved sunbathing on the deck, playing fetch in the driveway and hiking in the surrounding hills. Clean, quiet and comfy red door is the ideal home away from home.

  • Beautiful cabin— perfect for two plus a small dog— in a quiet spot off the main road. The cabin has simple, tasteful decor, a great little kitchen, a nice main room that heats up nicely and a spacious bathroom and bedroom. Very cozy and pleasant for a weekend getaway!

  • We had such a relaxing getaway here! The house is very cute and particularly clean. Our favorite part was the wood burning stove, which kept us warm and toasty! There was plenty of firewood which was also appreciated. We also enjoyed the selection of games provided! We didn’t turn the TV on once which helped us check out and enjoy the quaint little town of Idyllwild, which is just a short 7-10 minute drive away. Ashley provided great recommendations for restaurants, which we loved! We are so thankful this place is dog friendly so we could bring our little furry family member with us. This cabin had everything we needed and was the perfect stay. Thank you for sharing your home!

    John2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It’s an adorable little space for a quick getaway from the city. It’s clean and cozy. I’d definitely love to stay here again.

  • Great value. Adorable cabin on peaceful grounds.

    Nicholas2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had about 16 people on vacation with us and rented the Yellow Door along with the Lodge. One lucky couple got to stay in the yellow door as their private retreat. Emma was great and got back to us, in a timely manner, with any questions we had.

    Andrea2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The yellow door is a magical place, you will not regret taking this trip to a cute little one bedroom that felt almost like a little rabbits burrow. The hikes around the area are wonderful, as well as the town. I also got to meet Mayor Max.🐶🌲

    Michael2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Place was amazing surrounded by the beautiful forest!

    Alma2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a great value for the price, super cute and good location. Very quick drive to the town center, didn't bother me at all that it wasn't a short walk there. Room was comfortable and cozy, yes it's small and relatively basic, but that's what I expected for the price and you should too :) Loved walking around the whole property, would definitely return with a group and rent one of the larger cabins.

With such a great combination of nature’s beauty and peaceful seclusion, plus great outdoor activities and charming small-town discoveries and events, it’s no surprise that Idyllcreek is a favorite of so many, some from California and some from across the country. Idyllwild, California, vacation rentals give families, couples, and friends the chance to get away, relax, and spend some great time together. And Idyllcreek is one of the best. So if you’re ready to head down to the shaded A-frame cabin at the end of Boulder Drive for a day, weekend, or week of peace, Idyllcreek is ready to welcome you.

  • An amazing cabin that provided an unforgettable getaway for my wife, son, and I. It was such a nice and stylish place for us to all get away and immerse ourselves in nature. Beautiful location, spacious living area, hot tub, clear skies, bright stars, and just three minutes alway from the town center. I highly recommend this space to anyone who is in need of some good rest and relaxation.

Beautiful custom home in an incredible location right under Tahquitz Rock, with towering mountain views and a tranquil natural setting. The location is a nature lover's dream - no need to fight for parking at the trailhead as Humber Park and its many trails are just a short walk way! The home features a beautiful open plan living space with vaulted ceilings and wood-burning stove. And don't forgot to relax on the huge deck that gets sun from sunrise to sunset ... you won't find a better view!
Built in 1994, the home is full of modern conveniences but retains a rustic charm with natural wood features, high ceilings, huge windows to let in lots of light, and a traditional wood-burning stove. What really sets this home apart is its unique location right below Tahquitz Rock - you won't get tired of looking at this incredible natural feature reminiscent of the granite walls of Yosemite.
The house is at the top of Fern Valley Road, just below the Humber Park parking area and trailheads. The property is surrounded by National Forest land and is very tranquil.
  • This place left nothing to be desired! Secluded and peaceful. Such a beautiful home in the woods. Anthony is the best!

    Sonny2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The house is sparkling clean. We were wanting a quiet, relaxing weekend. This house was it. A very quiet house. The view was amazing. Thank you for a great weekend.

    Toni2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony's place had everything we were looking for to celebrate my husband's birthday in the mountains. The house was easy to find, had gorgeous views of Tahquitz Peak, was sparkly clean, included board games for the kids, had a BBQ and more. We would love to spend more time in this wonderful home in the future.

    Heather2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place! Anthony was a very good host and the instructions were very clear! Everything was clean and very cozy!

  • Everything looks like on photos, however mountain view looks the same as photos it’s not possible to reflect all greatness on this place

  • There was a bit of a delay with our check in due to the cleaners running behind but other than that, we had a great stay. The cabin was nice and clean and in a quaint location with beautiful views.

    Virginia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome cabin in a beautiful location. If I am ever in the area again, I will be staying here!

    Shawn2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony is a fantastic host. He responded very quickly when I had questions, the place was awesome, it was very clean, and me and my buddies really loved it. Water pressure wasn’t the best, but it’s in the mountains what are yu gonna do. One thing that was also very helpful was that I had to change the dates of our trip about 2 weeks before the actual trip and Anthony approved it instantly. Would 100% book again and highly suggest for yu to as well. There was also a beautiful mountain next to the house that was really breathtaking; it made yu feel like yu were in Yosemite! All love God bless!

In compliance with the Riverside County short-term rental ordinance, we will be closed throughout the duration of the COVID19 crisis. We look forward to hosting you when the world is back to normal! Wishing you good health, stay safe out there!
The Wildland Retreat Space is the bottom level of a 2 story Octagonal "tree house" nestled in the Pines, just steps from Strawberry Creek. We have a deep commitment to eco-friendly, non-toxic, vegan, & upcycled materials - which you will find throughout the space. We use only non-toxic, natural cleaning supplies - 100% cotton sheets, and all vegan materials throughout the home - including a cozy down-alternative duvet. You will find the kitchenette stocked with light breakfast nourishment such as organic instant oatmeal, along with a variety of teas and local coffee for your enjoyment. Please note this space features a "kitchenette", not a full kitchen - which includes a 2 burner hot plate, 1 pan, 1 pot, a microwave, mini-fridge, and an array of plates/mugs/utensils. Because this guest suite functions as a retreat space, there is no television available. There is, however, high-speed internet if you would like to bring a computer to stream. As mentioned, this space was designed to be a place for quiet contemplation - please no parties, no smoking, no pets, no children under 12, and no additional guests. The exterior grounds are open for you to enjoy. We especially recommend spending some time relaxing in the sitting area by the creek. Directions to hiking trails plus recommended sightseeing, shopping and restaurants can be found on our @wildlandorganics instagram story highlights titled "Visit Idyllwild". As an offering of gratitude for visiting, we are happy to provide each guest a taste of the Wildland experience. Our company, Wildland Organics, specializes in mindful, minimalist offerings for hair, body, and home that you will get to experience throughout your stay. Luxurious and organic oils, soaps, shampoos, body wash & candles made right here in Idyllwild will be at your disposal to enjoy. You will also receive a welcome gift bag to take home with you, featuring travel-friendly versions of our best-selling Sun Sage Ritual Oil & The Super Bar. As hosts, we live upstairs with our cat and small dog, so while we do our best to preserve a quiet & contemplative atmosphere for our guests - you may hear sounds of everyday life from up above. The dog is usually quiet as a mouse (unless the UPS man shows up, haha!). We also provide a sound machine for the bedroom, and multiple fans to muffle any noise you might hear.
Located on Strawberry Creek, this land offers the soothing sounds only a seasonal creek can provide. Often running September - May, please message to confirm - as the creek changes from season to season. Colorful foliage and apple trees ripe for the picking can be enjoyed in the fall. Walking distance to town (20 minutes), and a short 10 minute walk to popular brunch & dinner spot Mile High Cafe. 2 minute drive to Idyllwild Arts Academy.
  • This space is a sanctuary!! From the sweet welcoming gifts to the warm cozy blankets and robes to lounge and relax!! A few steps to a calming running creek, this was such a meditative way to start my day. I would love to stay here much longer next time!!

  • I absolutely loved my time at Marisa and Daane’s place in Idyllwild. It is absolutely beautiful and on a breathtaking piece of property with great views and stream running through it. Everything was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches like coffee/tea/French press and even a goody bag with some wonderful products. Marisa and Daane were lovely and easy to communicate with! Would stay again in heart beat!

    Brittany2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was way too short! The space is calm and peaceful, the hosts are welcoming and helpful. The bed is a cloud. Trails and town are a few minutes away each. Do yourself a favor & book ASAP!

    Lindsey2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the perfect getaway at Marisa and Daane’s. The space was much larger than expected - even two full bathrooms! Luxury. The space was beautifully designed. everything about it was relaxing, clean and calm. Marisa gave us local tips and we had a magical morning hiking on a trail just behind the house, and the most delicious dinner in town. Marisa and Daane were so sweet and thoughtful they even left a little extra gift for us outside the door. Highly recommend if you need a getaway!

    Danna2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa sent info about my stay in advance and was ready to great meet and show me around when I arrived. The space, even though situated under their space, was private, quiet and tranquil. The chairs and yoga platform by the creek were really peaceful for mornings and afternoons. The house is close to the idyllwild regional park and hiking trails. The inside space was clean and energetically clear, open and inviting. Perfect place to settle into a personal creative project. Thank you! I hope to be back soon!

    Stephanie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa & Daane's place was amazing -- perfectly located, cozy, clean, and so so beautiful. They were thoughtful, generous hosts who were always responsive and helpful answering any questions we had. Would love to stay here again!

    Dallas2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa and Daane’s place is everything that is listed and more. We had a clear idea of what to expect but once there, the place with its welcoming touches and amenities and the surrounding nature with the bubbling creek really made for a wonderful experience. We had many favorite moments but sipping coffee on the chairs by the creek in the morning or looking at the night sky through the trees and spotting stars were our favorites. On more practical matters, communication was great and Marisa was quick to respond. Access to property and house was very easy. I wanted to cook while there and even though they only have a kitchenette, I was able to stock the mini fridge and was able to make breakfast and dinner easily. It was a wonderful stay made even more special by the little organic gifts of soap and facial oil left for us and made by the lovely hosts. We would definitely love to go back one day and relieve the whole experience.

Enjoy coffee as the sun comes up or glass of wine as it sets on the expansive deck. I booked a Valentine surprise for my wife, we loved it so much, we decided to buy it. The cabin is truly a family getaway. We are looking forward to many trips here & look forward to sharing it with others. The cabin is well equipped for a great weekend in nature. Take your dog on a hike, share laughs with the kids playing board games, gather around the fire & experience quality time with loved ones.
This cabin is best suited for a family of 4 or 5. For guests, there is a convenient parking space for one large car or two small cars. There is ample street parking at the end of the street, a quick 5-minute walk to the cabin. Your furry friends are welcome too. The upstairs bedroom is spacious with a king size bed and smart TV monitor. There is large selection of DVDs for kids and adults (or rent one in town) as well high-speed internet for your enjoyment. The upstairs bedroom is not ideal for small children as they could possibly squirm their way between the bars in the railing. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed as well as a twin bed and spacious closet. The twin folds up against the wall for guests that don’t need the extra bed. The full bathroom has a tub perfect for the kid’s bath or a long soak after a strenuous bike ride. The bathroom has an on-demand wall heater to keep the chill away on the coldest of nights. The kitchen has modern appliances and stocked cupboards. All the necessary utensils for cooking and/or baking are included. The dining area seats 6 and the living area has a comfortable couch in front of a warm wood burning fireplace. Step through the large sliding doors onto the HUGE deck and appreciate the expansive view from the treetops. There are birds galore as well as acrobatic squirrels in the massive Jeffrey Pine that passes up through the deck. This peaceful neighborhood gives the gift of being able to look out over the swaying trees or up towards the breathtaking stars and revel in the quiet.
  • My family and I spent 3 nights...it snowed the whole time, which was a first time experience for us all. Beds were comfy, the place was beautifully decorated, excellent space to play cards or games! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the left over containers, which is super helpful because we cooked and ate left overs! Enjoyed the fire place and just relaxed! Had one of the most beautiful views of the valley! We'll be back!

    Susan2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super cozy cabin close to the town of Idyllwild. Eric is a thoughtful and informative host and truly thinks of everything you might need! This cabin was exceptionally clean and the views are beautiful! It is so close to the nature center and many other hikes.

    Hannah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin has an amazing view and perfect deck to enjoy coffee or a cocktail. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

    Danielle2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great time as a family when we stayed at Eric's cabin in Idyllwild. The place was nice and clean. It has a very comfortable look and feel as soon as you walk in. The place had an amazing outdoor deck that's overlooking the mountains. Great location and it's less than 10 min away from the local town. Definitely recommend!

    Eumir2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This place is AMAZING! We had a blast in this tucked away treetop paradise! Highly recommend!

    Grace2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a great stay at Eric's lovely home. All of the necessary details to make our visit comfortable were clearly communicated, and a few added touches made the overall hospitality top notch. The deck is simply amazing. The views, spectacular. Comfy beds, a cozy fireplace, and sparkling clean overall. Would definitely return!

    Stephanie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at this amazing cabin, as always very clean and full of amenities, and he supplies you with firewood for cozying up by the fireplace , overall excellent experience , we’ll definitely be back soon!

    Ed2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Eric’s place is nothing shy of incredible. As the other reviews say, the photos do not do the view nor the house justice. The place was spotless and there were so many small details and efforts made by the host that made our stay that much better. Only a short and scenic drive to town and hiking spots. If you have the opportunity to book this place, do it!
