It is surrounded by the lovely Kent countryside where you can ramble and refresh yourselves by perhaps ending the day in one of the great pubs cosy by a log fire in Winter or in Summer in an English garden. • We booked Clare’s place as a very last minute escape following the cancellation of our trip to Berlin because of the ongoing Coronavirus situation. We wanted somewhere rural and private as a kind of ‘escape’ from the current situation... and what an escape it was... The location was amazing.... lovely views of the countryside and wildlife... to wake up to chickens and ducks playing in the pond opposite the mill was very cute......you can stay in the mill and see no one if you like, or drive 5 minutes into a lovely quaint town...perfect. The mill is simply stunning....no other words; beautifully finished and furnished... an absolute testament to Clare who project managed the mill’s restoration.. It was spotlessly & professionally cleaned before our arrival, the bath was amazing and the bed ridiculously comfortable. Clare was very generous & kind. The ‘perfect host’. Communication was excellent and all the extra touches on arrival ( I won’t ruin the surprise) made us feel special & welcome. If you don’t stay here, you really are missing out!! In this current climate of uncertainty and anxiety, this is really the perfect escape. We’d love to stay again in the future. Thank you Clare

  • Absolutely stunning accommodation, we will be back!

    Andrew2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clare is a lovely host and really made us feel at home in the mill! It is a beautiful property and well worth a visit.

    Ethan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really amazing stay at the windmill. It’s such a unique building and really nicely done inside. We really enjoyed sitting out on the staging to watch the sunrise, despite the single figure temperatures. Claire is an excellent host! She was really helpful - lending us some bits to clean up our walking boots after encountering a huge bog on our afternoon walk. Highly recommend a visit and we’d definitely be keen to stay again.

    Suzy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A really special, well designed space. We couldn’t be happier that it rained the whole time as it meant we got to spend the whole stay in the windmill! Thanks

    Steve2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing Windmill and what an amazing location! Clare was also so kind - and even gave us some fresh rhubarb from her garden. She was incredibly helpful and gave us lots of tips for the area. Would recommend this place 150 percent!

    George2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The most perfect place for a relaxing break away! So unique & quaint, with the most heavenly bedding! Clare is a great host.... we can’t wait to come and visit again! X

    Georgina2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most extraordinary spaces we've stayed in. Peaceful, and immaculately kept. It's every bit as good as it looks in the listing. Clare's insights on the area were invaluable too - and she couldn't have been more accommodating (eg for a dietary requirement). Thank you so much again.

Bardown is a 90 acre working farm with panoramic undulating views. Sleeping 16, our Sussex barn is converted into 3 cottages each with its own living area and kitchen but with enough room in the middle cottage to all eat and relax together. Enjoy our warm outdoor pool or try one of the many beautiful local walks. It's just an hour by train from London direct to Stonegate station. Bardown Farm is the perfect location for family and friendship groups, business get-togethers and activity retreats.
Bardown Barn is made up of 3 cottages within a Sussex barn
  • Alison was a great host and incredibly welcoming and accommodating, even when it was an inconvenience! An amazing house with incredible views and a great pool. We had a hen party here and the cottage was perfectly kitted out with every utensil you could hope for in the kitchens, and TVs all over the place for downtime. Lots of space and didn’t feel crowded at all. Perfect as well as the rooms were all 2 single beds so plenty of privacy. It’s a great location if you want the remote beauty of real English countryside.

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. Perfect for a group with seperate cottages amd shared dining space should you wish. Beautiful barn conversion in a lovely spot.

    Jim2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Bardown farm. The three cottages were cosy, warm, clean and comfortable, we loved the views and the farm, and the kids loved the open spaces and games room. The middle cottage was big enough for 12 of us to sit and enjoy dinner together. A perfect location for three generations of family to enjoy a weekend away.

    Catherine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely space and surroundings. Chance to immerse yourself in nature away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended

  • 'A beautiful home with stunning surroundings, accommodating and responsive host. We had an amazing time!'

    Hannah2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alison was a great host and we enjoyed our weekend stay in Ticehurst. The cottages had everything we needed and we would recommend

    Robert2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed for a weekend and had the most amazing time! Alison was so helpful. The accomodation is just beautiful. The pool was fantastic the views are unbelievable. Highly recommended .. x

    Emily2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were a party of 14 women celebrating 40th, 50th and 60th birthdays. The location is great with fabulous views over the countryside. We rented the whole barn and each of the 3 cottages have well equipped kitchens and comfortable bedrooms. We loved the visits from the chicken and dogs and enjoyed feeding all our scraps to the pigs. Weather was fab and we enjoyed the use of the outdoor pool which is heated. Took a nice walk around the lake and sunflower field. Alison is a lovely, friendly host who gives you privacy. Would say accommodation better suited for 12 people as sofa beds not very comfy but apart from that it was a fabulous stay.

The Hive is an open plan contemporary building set in the heart of Kent within easy reach of London and The Coast. Pool is heated June to September only.Historic castles and well known gardens of Kent and Sussex are nearby. The house is in a rural setting with great walks and some excellent pubs along the way. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive. Doggy charge £20 per stay.
The Hive is an open plan space designed with surrounding nature and organic bee keeping in mind. Please note the bedroom is mezzanine reached by spiral staircase. It is very romantic but perhaps not everyones choice of sleeping arrangements. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything and guests are welcome to use the Bar, just replace what you consumed.
Best of both worlds, country and town, all yours. Plenty of castles to explore too. Hever and Penshurst Place are our favourites. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away and offers plenty of eating out and shopping options. Some excellent pubs are walking distance away and you can bring your dog too. London is an hour train journey, Brighton and the cost about the same by car.
  • We had a great stay at Stella’s Airbnb the location is beautiful with lots of walks close by. The interior is very stylish and lovely for a few days away. Stella and Kevin were wonderful hosts and even bought a bottle of Prosecco for my girlfriend with a little card left on the doormat the day of her Birthday. So thoughtful of them! There’s a pub (The Hare) which is a 15 min walk away and the foods really good. We’d defiantly recommend it if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life and relax in a beautiful setting.

  • Very beautiful place. Very modern. Enough parking spaces. Would definitely recommend

    Jamal2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place really is as beautiful and well thought out as the photos show. A comfortable little hide out in the countryside. The wood burner made our winter trip lovely especially as we weren't very lucky with the weather. Perfect for a couple to get away from it all.

    Sophie2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. Stella made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Can't wait to go back.

  • What an amazing place to stay! I booked it as a writing retreat and the peace and tranquility, oh and all that natural light was just wonderful! Beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, with everything you could wish for for a short break. Great wifi and I appreciated having Netflix to watch in the evening.

    Sophie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

Deer Cottage - a rustic cottage set in the grounds of a wonderful garden and backs onto the woods, yet 5 mins from Tunbridge Wells. The property is on the edge of a 3000 acre estate, where deer and rabbits hop about, Ideal for families and dogs are very welcome too. Further accommodation for up to 4 available listed on airbnb under Bohemia Barn Cottage. two bedrooms one on a mezzanine. Has own courtyard. Also extra accommodation in bell tents available.
Just an hour from London, Deer Cottage is 2 separate dwellings next to each other; a bathroom and 2 bedrooms - a super king bed in a large room & a small twin/double room. The other building has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room with a log burning stove. This arrangement works well when one party (i.e. children) have gone to bed and the other can stay up without worrying about noise. Plenty of parking There is a south facing terrace overlooking our pretty garden and a large expanse of lawn. It gets sun-drenched in the afternoon and evening, a perfect place for a BBQ and hanging out together, where wisteria climbs around a shaded overhang. The bathroom has a bath and shower above the bath. This is a unique property where you can be left to your own privacy, yet there are other people around - alone but not lonely! Simon and I live in the main house opposite Deer Cottage and we have people living in the Old Kennels and other converted outhouses, further away from the house.
Tunbridge Wells is a beautiful spa town with great pubs, cafes and restaurant and shopping. There is often a jazz festival or arts festival on. We can recommend local places to eat at and also to visit, such as Penshurst Place, Groombridge Place, Sissinghurst Garden etc.
  • lovely quaint cottage with great walks and pubs nearby.

  • This was our third stay in gorgeous deer cottage. It’s such a wonderful place to relax and reconnect with friends. The quirky layout with lounge and kitchen in one cottage and the bedrooms and bathroom in the next one really works for us, and we instantly relax on arrival. Such a beautiful place to walk, a lovely farm shop very close, and you cannot fail to soak in the countryside. Simon so kindly gave us a late checkout as the weather with Storm Ciara was playing havoc, really appreciated! We will be back again, thank you so much Celia and Simon!

    Cally2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic Airbnb! Perfect for a getaway from the city! Would extremely recommend at any time of year, the log fire and heaters kept us warm after our wet walks. Breakfast supplies were provided from the local farm shop and were very high quality. 5/5 for everything!

    Emily2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was amazing to stay at Emma’s place, so peaceful so tranquil. Log burner was amazing, views were amazing and there were all necessary amenities. Will go again for sure.

    Rohit2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, cozy, quirky, quiet retreat. Great for dog walks, or for a trip into charming Tunbridge Wells. I highly recommend it.

    Marijke2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb is great for a number of reasons. It's very close to Tunbridge but has the feeling of being remote. Though you're near a main road, the house itself feels secluded because you're up a long drive. There's lovely nature surrounding the airbnb. Although it wasn't clear to us from the description that the kitchen and living room are separate from the bedrooms, this in fact seemed a plus because it meant one of us could stay up watching a film while the other went to sleep without risk of disturbing. The rooms themselves are lovely and Celia's daughter was kind enough to light a fire for our arrival. A very friendly family. Plus breakfast things - eggs, bread, etc. - for the morning. Highly recommend.

This amazing converted pub has 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, lounge, huge dining table seating 16 and a fully fitted kitchen. The perfect weekend retreat or mid week business getaway location - spoil yourself, this venue is amazing just read our reviews! We can arrange anything you need from taxis, catering, activities, wine tasting, pamper sessions, to cocktail flairing! A real emphasis on luxury and a boutique hotel feel. Four floors of heaven and all within 1 hour of London.
A fabulous Grade 2 listed Victorian pub, now luxury self catering accommodation for up to 16 people under 50 minutes from the centre of London. We cater for families who want to celebrate a special occasion or just want to get together for family time, to companies who want the ultimate corporate getaway and the opportunity to hire their own private boutique hotel. The Bull has a fully equipped kitchen, utility room, dining area with a table seating 16, sitting room with plenty of comfy sofas, open fire, media room with 65" Ultra HD TV, 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, 6 of which are en suite, 2 more WC's on ground floor. Four of the king size beds will split into singles. South facing courtyard. Only 30 minutes from the coast. The Bull at Brenchley was built in 1864 and retains many of the original features - but with mod cons too! The ceilings are high and the dining area and sitting room are open plan. These used to be the bars in the pub. The kitchen is fully equipped with a 7 burner hob, double oven and grill. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer and microwave in the utility room. The pantry is full of dishes, bowls, jugs - everything you could possibly want. So if you are real foodies you won't be short of utensils, pots and pans. All of the bedrooms are good sizes, the smallest room has bunk beds with full size 3' beds. Six of the bedrooms have en suite showers or bathrooms, 4 of which have under floor heating and demister mirrors. The 7th shower room is on the top floor and is between two bedrooms so would be ideal for a family who want to be next to their children. The original beer cellar is now a TV media room with a 65" curved Ultra HD TV with Sky TV, YouTube, Netflicks. For business visitors looking for a business planning/strategy away day, the TV will link to your laptop with an HDMI cable, so it's great for presentations and our quoted prices are inclusive of VAT, so it's a very good deal! We also have a projector and screen available for business visitors. This room has reduced head height in relation to the 9' ceilings upstairs, but unless you are 6'4 plus you will be able to stand up in the middle. There is also an area to sit and play cards or games and two huge sofas for lounging around. There is an old fashioned record player and LP's and a Karaoke machine. We have Super Fast Fibre Optic Broadband because we know how important it is! You will be able to stream TV on your laptop and work if you really have to. The beer garden is a small south facing deck and patio area. There is plenty of space to sit and eat with a large dining table and parasol. It's a pretty garden that is private, with outside fairy lights for evenings. We would stress that Brenchley is a small village and we ask our guests not to remain outside after 11pm as the noise travels and may disturbs our neighbours.
Brenchley is a lovely Tudor village, many of the houses are from the 16th Century. The Bull is Victorian because the original thatched pub burned down 150 years ago. There are fabulous walks that take you to many pubs in the local area. Matfield is a neighbouring village with a village green and three pubs surrounding it. Cricket matches and village fetes take place on the green. Horsmonden 2 miles in the opposite direction has been voted the best Village Stores in England.
  • A beautiful house, perfect for a special occasion. We hired it for my husbands 40th and it was the ideal choice! Such a fun weekend. I highly recommend staying at The Bull, you won't be disappointed.

    Lauren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I start, I have just returned from this beautiful house. It literally is faultless. From the minute we walked in we were running around exploring and squealing with delight. I had organised a group of ladies for the weekend as a surprise for my sisters 50th.. Everyone commented on how fabulous it was, and you cant always please everyone...but you did!. We had caterers come in on the Saturday night from The Kitchen of Kent (a recommendation from Rob and Debbie) who were amazing, a walk to The hopbine for Sunday lunch, again amazing then back for the rugby in the amazing basement room, where the 2 nights previous we spent most of our time on the karaoke....a huge hit. There is nothing negative to say, the rooms are all beautifully furnished to such a high standard and you can see the thought and effort that has gone into this amazing house. The ladies want a repeat next year.....we will return. So once again thank you Rob and Debbie, you made my sisters weekend one to remember

  • Superb house with high quality amenities, lovely quirky touches to make it feel special and sparkling clean. We used it for a weekend family get together and everybody (including the ultra-fussy one that always complains) thought it was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

  • The Bull is the perfect spot for business teams or families that want a classic part of British countryside. A beautiful coffee house “The Little Bull” is next door, a wonderful butchers ready for cater for breakfast and a handy mini supermarket/post office opposite. I took my team of 12 and there was plenty of space. We went on a country walk across fields on the bridal path to some traditional pubs and the whole experience felt straight out the film “The Holiday” Would certainly recommend to any large groups. Superb communication the whole way also.

  • I have just returned from a 3 night stay over new year at the Bull with 15 friends and 2 four legged friends!! This place is beyond amazing. It was so well equipped to a very high standard. The extra touches were amazing and made such a difference. We loved the cellar with comfy sofas and karaoke and our 2 dogs loved the courtyard garden! The kitchen was so well equipped, the dining table perfect and the beds were a dream!! We will definitely be back! Rob and Debbie were both so helpful. Thanks so much to you both!

  • A lovely cosy and homely property that suited our family gathering perfectly. Everyone was happy, from grandparents to teenagers and babies. The kids loved the space in the cinema room and the communal area allowed us to eat in and spend time together. Communication with Debbie and Rob was swift and really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We also had a fabulous visit to Bodiam castle. We definitely hope to visit again soon.

    Jonathan2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and unforgettable stay in Debbie's house for my 40th birthday. We stayed there at 14 without stepping on it and everyone was absolutely delighted with the stay. Communication with Rob was very simple, he was very responsive. I can't wait to turn 50!

  • A very comfortable room with en-suite bathroom in a lovely house. David and Gill gave us a warm welcome. Horsemonden is ideally situated to visit one of the many interesting National Trust properties in the area, as well as to explore the many lovely villages in Kent or East Sussex. People who love shopping will enjoy exploring Tunbridge Wells.

Prime location for visiting spectacular selection of English castles and gardens; Sissinghurst, Leeds, Ightham Mote, Scotney and Great Dixter.
Clad with wooden boards there is a very luxe country feel.
We have a large vegetable garden for you to help yourself to whatever is in season. Sissinghurst, Leeds and Hever castles are all close by and well worth a visit. We also have Rye and Hastings about 50 minutes away on the coast. The stables is newly converted and warm and private. The bed is a king size with luxury white linen with 400 thread count. The feather pillows are full and there are white fluffy towels and bathrobes for your use during your stay. We supply shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. There are lots of local walks and footpaths which are readily accessible from the property. There is also a local pub called The Castle Inn serving home cooked food and draught beer (Harveys Sussex bitter) a few minutes walk away. • Thank you. Lovely place and hospitality.

  • The most beautiful barn conversion and a perfect rural getaway from all the bustle of a London! We had a wonderful stay and loved meeting Philippa who was so welcoming. The space is stylish with everything you could possibly need and we had a cosy night in cooking and felt so at home immediately. Our pup also loved exploring the beautiful surroundings! Thank you for everything :)

  • Amazing place Great place to get away from the city life Exactly like how you see in the picture I’m coming back here again

    Shari2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great little barn to get away from it all!

    Jakob2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had the most perfect weekend away here. Philippa has done a brilliant job doing up the barn to be the perfect level of rustic and plush. It’s so cozy yet fresh and not stuffy. We felt so at home, and enjoyed the place and it’s surroundings in the rain and sunshine. We had everything we needed, it’s spotlessly clean, the bed is unbelievably comfy and Philippa was lovely and welcoming. Perfect getaway. Can’t recommend enough! Will go back ASAP :)

    Anna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a stunning place! Philippa’s place is an amazing escape from day to day life, we were able to switch off relax and enjoy taking it easy. Philippa has great knowledge of the local attractions and surroundings and it’s really reassuring that she’s always on hand for anything. The place is decorated beautifully and just like the pictures. Although one thing you can’t tell from the pictures is how comfortable the bed is!! Overall an amazing escape which I would highly recommend!

    Jade2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this luxury barn conversion if you are looking for a romantic getaway in a nice cozy place with the best of interiors. Philippa was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable with the place. The place is so well maintained. Very clean and has all the amenities one would need. Very comfortable bed. We did binge watching on Netflix the host provided us with on her Tv. Good value for money, has couple of good pubs near by. We don’t drive but had cab services available with 10 mins lead time. The best part of the stay was the rustic look of the interiors which are exactly the same as shown in the pictures. We plan to go back again soon and my wife has already looked at other properties managed by the host.

    Dave2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay the cottage. It was a lovely size with a fab shower, very comfy bed and easy amenities. It was so lovely to take the bags out the car and walk into a cosy living room with a gorgeous log fire already crackling away. I was made to feel so welcome by Philippa and her husband. Storm Ciara knocked the power out a couple of times and they went out of their way to make sure I was safe, warm, fed and fully equipped with candles. Thank you for allowing me to do some much needed writing.

Lovely one bed cottage set in middle of the Kent countryside. Located down a quiet country lane with a private garden and parking. The cottage has been lovingly restored to provide maximum use of the space available. It provides a fantastic base for 1 or 2 guests to explore Kent and Sussex.
If you walk out the grounds you are immediately in orchards and hop gardens and the village of Lamberhurst is 2 miles with several pubs and a shop.
  • Wonderful location, very tranquil but also good access to motorways too. Pepperpot Cottage was a lovely place to stay and very comfortable for us. Roz kindly accommodated our dogs and we were very homely with all the necessary amenities to make it a home from home.

Park Farm View is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) with breath-taking views of idyllic Kentish countryside. Situated in a tranquil location near Horsmonden Church with views up to the picturesque village of Goudhurst with a great selection of pubs, bakery & village stores. Perfectly located to visit plenty of National Trust properties, other historical buildings and gardens.
This delightful rural bolthole has been stylishly converted and you will be impressed by the sense of space and rustic charm. Entering in through the main door into the kitchen with wooden beams and vaulted ceiling. There is a microwave and fridge/freezer. The kitchen area includes a dining table which enjoys a prime spot in the large window, looking out to the stunning view of the rolling countryside. There is no oven in the annex but you can cook on the gas BBQ on the terrace. The main annex area is a light and airy open-plan lounge/bedroom area. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, so that you can curl up and watch a film on the TV and DVD player or relax with one of the magazines or books provided. There is a staircase leading up to a mezzanine floor which can sleep an additional 2 more people. (Only suitable for children aged 2-12) The bedroom area has a comfy kingsize bed positioned right by the window to view the jaw dropping views across the fields. Outside, the property has its own private garden with outdoor furniture, including sun loungers. The rest of the garden and paddock can be enjoyed and use of the swimming pool.
Park Farm View is located between two of the most picturesque villages in Kent. In Horsmonden you can find an excellent village store with delicatessen and freshly baked bread, village pub and pharmacy. Goudhurst which is down the lane in the opposite direction spoils us with choice - it has a fantastic cute cafe, pubs, pharmacy, bakery. There are plenty of walks, cycle rides to go on - take a look at our local guide in the annex if you need some inspiration.
  • The Stables is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing space. Spotlessly clean, stylishly laid out, with all the creature comforts you need for a stay. Kelly is a suberb host, communicates really quickly and checked in with us to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back again, highly recommend for a relaxing break from busy lives!

    Michelle2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful & charming accommodation with great views. Kelly was a great host, very responsive to our questions and kind throughout the process. We missed having a stove in the (otherwise) very well equipped kitchen but we missed this detail in the description. Recommend coming by car as public transportation from and to the station is limited on weekends. Would definitely like to come back and enjoy this place again!

  • My partner and I stayed at Fran's place for two nights and we could not say a bad word about the hosting or accommodation. Fran was most helpful before arrival with quick responses and flexibility on arrival time and the check in was smooth. The studio is spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a great stay. There were lovely touches like little treats in the fridge and the amenities were much more than expected. The property is in a lovely location and nice and private, there is also a parking space right next to the property which is perfect. The views are also amazing. Would thoroughly recommend Frans place to anybody, we will definitely be visiting again.

  • Aida's house is really comfortable, warm and great value for money. The room was lovely with filtered water, kettle (including tea & coffee) and inspired by Japanese culture having a spacious zen feel. The bedding was a delight to snuggle up in! Aida is a very kind-hearted, hard working woman who was eager to ensure that my stay was as pleasant and hassle-free as possible. Bordering a woodland you can see various local wildlife from the window which was a beautiful view to observe. The truely unique and creative bathroom is a must see however it’s situated at the top of this three storey house which itself is towards the top of a hill, therefor the water pressure isn't fantastic but none the less it’s a brilliant bathroom and is fully functional. I am grateful for the meditation session, an insight in to Japanese customs, a tinkle on the wonderful baby grand piano and having met such a wonderous spirit in Aida.

  • What a beautiful place to stay! Fern was really friendly and has set up the cabin beautifully, with lovely touches inside and out. We were lucky enough to get some March sunshine to enjoy the decking but the interior of the cabin is just as nice to spend time in. Because of the Covid19 isolation order all the local restaurants were closed but cooking our own candle lit steak meal in the cabin was perfect. We will definitely be back in another season to see the lake and woods from another perspective. Thanks Fern!

    Steve2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you want peace and tranquility this is the perfect place. Ferns log cabin is beautifully appointed - really warm cosy and comfortable. Campbell2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fern is a great host and the cabin was just as we expected. Very peaceful and calm apart from the occasional goose which I find is part of the charm. If you have a chance to go there, would recommend 100%. We had some lovely walks around the public footpaths in the area, good food and some fun encounters with animals. Thanks again Fern !

    Chloé2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was really amazing, it is so serene and wonderful. You can step out in the morning to a beautiful view and hear nothing but the sound of nature. I planned to ask my girlfriend to marry me on the balcony overlooking the lake but the cabin provided such a lovely setting I ended up just doing it inside. Fern is a lovely host and sets you up nicely on arrival. We went for a lovely walk around the woods on the Saturday that wasn't too taxing and again provided a lovely peaceful setting. I 100 % recommend this to anyone looking for a nice location to escape to, and whilst we didn't travel the local area, it is very well situated for doing so.

    Callum2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just come back from a lovely weekend away at this beautiful cabin. It was spotlessly clean, Fern is a lovely and friendly host. No WiFi but we didn’t even need it, there’s so much scenery and wildlife to enjoy. Perfect tranquil getaway!

  • Julia and Daniel is a lovely couple. The description of the room they offer and the location is precise. It is not far from the railway station and the town Centre. My room was clean and with a comfortable bed and I had good rest at night. The hosts are very easy going and helpful. Although they are busy people they provided me with easy check-in and -out and were happy to help at any time. I rate my stay excellent as I received what I expected at competitive price. Recommended!

  • What a place to stay!! Stylish place, very nice touches like fresh daffodills :) Enjoyed staying at Cabin a lot! Catherine is very nice host, gave us some breakfast essentials. When you lay in the double bed upstairs you can admire stars in the sky, also chest of drawers have decorative knobs :) Towels very very soft, enjoyed every moment of our stay. Would highly recommend!

    Greg2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed over a long weekend for two nights and it was such a relief and stress free experience especially if you come from the city. Easily accessible though a car or taxi would be needed. We went for dinner st the Milk House pub which was terrific less than 10 minutes away driving. We also went to the Hush Heath Vineyard which was an amazing and tasteful experience less than 20 minutes driving. On a clear night you can see the stars laying from the bed due to the sky lights. We decided to cook one of the other nights and the kitchen has everything you could need for doing that! All in all a pleasant stay in the Kent countryside which may surprise you.

  • My second visit, and everything was just as perfect as before. Catherine has done a lovely job of making the place comfortable and welcoming and has added some lovely touches like fresh bread and eggs from her chickens. We love it here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break from the madness of daily life.

  • Fantastic stay in a really beautiful little hideaway. My wife and I were looking for a break away from the busy city life and this was exactly what we needed. The place was really well designed and set up. The hosts were very considerate and welcoming. The location was perfect. We were hoping to walk a lot but it rained a bit while we were there so we stayed in and really enjoyed the cosy feel too.

  • What a cosy place. We spent a whole afternoon sitting by the fire playing card and board games. A real retreat with the addition of some wonderful local heritage sites to visit. Slept like a baby on a very comfortable bed. We also came home with a leg of lamb from Acorn farm, just outside Burwash, saw a sign and just drove right in and spoke to the owner.
