  • Great location and great value. Owner definitely cares about the wellbeing of her guests

  • If you are kind and considerate you cannot find a better place to stay than Nadene's. This was our first AirBnB stay, and what a great experience it was. We went to Bangor to visit our son at UMaine. When he graduates, I do not expect to stay with Nadene. That privilege will go to my mother and my aunt. Otherwise if we go to Bangor again I know where we'll be making reservations.

  • This is a superb deal. The room is spacious and clean. The house is tidy and welcoming. I felt comfortable and at home.

    Justin2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a nice, quiet area. Nadene's incredibly hospitable and will go far and beyond to make sure you have an amazing stay.

  • This is a very pretty house, which is near to the downtown. You can take a Uber or bus to go everywhere. Nadene is a very nice landlady. She takes care of us very much. It is so lucky to meet her in this city. Of course, the house has everything you need. I promise this is a very good place to live.

  • Wonderful home, pleasant host, comfortable, clean and peaceful

    David2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • My first experience with Airbnb was a wonderful success. Nadene treated me like I was her distant nephew. It was my first time in Maine, and she was very helpful with tips and suggestions, and her place was clean and cozy. I would certainly stay again. Without a doubt.

    Sean2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and Nadene is very welcoming and accommodating! We mostly just needed a place to sleep as we were on the go during the day and this was perfect for us. It was in a nice little community with a short drive to all of the things we were looking to do.

  • Emilia is incredible and this studio is beautiful! Great location and great hospitality!

    Libby2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Emilia is definitely a 5 star host. She is friendly, helpful and left many nice touches for us to discover on the space. It was beautifully appointed and the special touches (fresh baked cookies, wine, juice, water bottles, directions and reading materials) were a wonderful surprise! Highly recommend and will be back! She and her family also own an adorable coffee shop and store just a few steps away with anything you might need .

    Jamie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Emilia’s home was lovely. Communication and directions on where and how to get there and to get in, were great and offering any help needed with parking in the lot provided was much appreciated! The two rooms were adorable and very well maintained with new and lovely fixtures, especially the large shower head, so great. The sweet treat and welcome were nice and the bed was so comfy, along with every amenity possible! I loved the space and her parents store close by us... amazing!! I shopped there my first day, it’s a great place and looks to have great coffee and goodies. It was like a mini vacation!! Thank you Emilia!!

  • The perfect space for a small vacation. Absolutely loved it!

    Sofia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Emilia is a great host! The studio apartment was very clean and within walking distance to everything Orono has to offer! We enjoyed the giant pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that we discovered as soon as we opened the door. Emilia was more than happy to help out with anything we needed. I will definitely be staying here again!

    Elizabeth2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Emilia has the cutest studio! It felt cozy as soon as I walked in the door. It’s in a nice area with plenty of restaurants around. Emilia really thought about all the small things and even had a sweet treat to welcome me. I will definitely be staying again! Thank you Emilia!

    Ashley2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Emilia’s home was the perfect get away for my fiancé and I to celebrate our anniversary. We were treated with the warmest welcome. The town is the sweetest place with awesome restaurants! We stopped by her family run coffee shop and it was filled with an abundance of treats and everyday necessities. Walmart, Target, and other stores are just a quick 10 minute drive away. Her home was so cozy and comfortable and our stay was the best! We highly recommend anyone to stay here! We can’t wait to visit again soon.

We welcome you into our tiny house - a renovated ice fishing shack on our organic farm. We are 30 minutes from Bangor, 30 minutes from Ellsworth, and 45 minutes to Acadia National Park. Hiking trails, organic gardens, pristine lakes, and beautiful views right outside your door. This is rustic! Solar powered and wood heating. If you like camping, this is a place for you.
This small home has a big heart! Come stay on our organic farm in the privacy of your own tiny house. There are hiking trails right outside that lead up and around the Bald Mountain, several beautiful swimming lakes within driving distance, blueberries and apples right outside your door during their season, and abundant wildlife and livestock to admire. The cabin itself is cozy and comfortable and is glamping at its best.
Dedham is a small town in rural Maine. It is unique because of its lakes and hills between Bangor and Ellsworth. It's fantastically close enough to various shopping places and attractions, yet far enough from the bustle of the town center to offer quiet nights and beautiful, rural sights.
  • A very cute, small stay. Perfect for a night on your way to Acadia or downeast Maine.

    Mara2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sadie and her family are lovely and sweet. I love being on Mountain Foot Farm and seeing all the animals. A unique glamping experience, on this working farm!

  • This place is great for people who want to enjoy the outdoors of Maine, but do not want to commit fully to camping. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating (helped us with the wood stove). What you see in the listing is accurate, but if you have any questions Sadie responds very quickly.

  • The Sugar Shack was the perfect get-away for me. I’m a country girl who lives in the city and travels too much for work. I needed something quiet and quant with great views, this place delivered. Sadie told me it might be cold and we could start a fire. We had it on for a bit and to our surprise the blankets kept us plenty warm. I loved waking up at to all the farm animals and would’ve loved to spend more time here. Thanks Sadie!!

    Nikki Jo2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I love 5 star hotels BUT I also loved the shack (it's a brand new dwelling). Such an adventure! Clean, quiet, nice touches and your own well-built private outhouse. I never felt so happy and alive on a sunny Friday morning. I will come back soon.

  • It was the second place of Emilia's that I have stayed in, and it was even better than the first, in that it was larger. She just has such a great sense of style and comfort and has everything that you need!! Lovely homes and I would definitely stay again and refer them to family and friends!! Thanks so Emilia!!

  • This adorable, cozy, modern 1-bedroom is the perfect place for a couple. Emilia is an incredible host - she was super thoughtful and accommodating, and a great communicator. The place itself is amazing. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking simple meals, the bathroom is fully stocked and has a heated floor (!!), and the bed is spacious and comfy. It’s a ~5 minute walk to restaurants in downtown Orono, with a nearby trail next to the river. I would 100% recommend this place!

    Julia2020-01-21T00:00:00Z

  • Perfection. Lovely. Comfy. Convenient. I could not have ask for more...the host is super sweet and thoughtful. Lots of extra touches. Super clean. Great location to restaurants and a short drive from Bangor airport. Enjoyed the recommendations for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed stopping by The Store for some hot tea and found some treasures to take home. I highly recommend.

The town of Hampden offers eateries, grocery, and recreation trails for your short or long-term visit. Pre-scheduled airport pick up available for 30.00 round trip with me or my husband. Grocery pick up available for 25.00.
A private parking spot next to the cottage and self-entry make it easy for you to settle in. This space has a combination living, eating area with galley kitchen. The galley kitchen area has a stove/oven, full refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and tea kettle. All of the items you would need to cook a lovely meal are also provided.
My sister, Sharry, and I offer the CharmHouse Cabin on Main; nestled on the edge of the woods off Route 1A in Hampden, Maine. You will be conveniently located close to everything, but feel as though you are comfy and cozy in the woods. There are five cabins located on Sharry’s property, four of which are occupied currently by long-term tenants. Sharry lives on the property in a 110- year- old restored farmhouse and has been lovingly bringing this 100 acre farm back to its charm of yesteryear. When this little cutie of a cabin opened up, we decided to offer it up to travelers who are looking for short-term or extended stays in the Bangor, Brewer, Hampden area. These quirky but quaint and cozy cabins were built back in the early part of 1950s as far as we know, and has provided a warm place to stay for townspeople ever since. Sharry and I are lovingly restoring them so that we can share our community with others. It would be most suited for a traveling couple or a family with one small child or infant. This cabin is 360 square feet and includes a small bathroom with shower stall, kitchen area, sitting area and bedroom. Everything you need to prepare a meal and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin is provided. The cabin is a year-round property with a connected and privately owned trail for snowshoeing, hiking or cross-country skiing. In summer months, a shared grill and firepit area is provided to unwind from a day trip to the coast or just gaze at the star-filled Maine evenings. Hampden is a suburb of the Bangor/Brewer area, but a has grocery, pharmacy, convenience stores and eateries. There are hiking trails in town at Dorothea Dix Park and Reed’s Brook Trails. https://www.mainetrailfinder.com/trails/trail/reeds-brook-trails https://maineanencyclopedia.com/dix-dorothea/ The Bangor area is centrally located and is home to famous author Stephen King. If you’re a fan, you can check out SK Tours, which takes you to the locations that inspired his books and movies. Or, have a nice picture in front of the bat gates at his West Broadway home. https://sk-tours.com/activities/tour-of-stephen-kings-derry-maine/ The Bog Walk is a wooden walking path built through a marshland system to preserve its habitat. It is a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere and great for photos. http://cityforest.bangorinfo.com/boardwalk.htm The Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion provides outdoor concert series from May through September, featuring such acts as Dave Matthews, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Luke Bryan, Phish, etc. See their website for upcoming shows. https://www.eventticketscenter.com/bangor-concert-tickets/151532/e?msclkid=3f2f41bdf8a71059bc0c1dc84ecb463a&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=A001%20Amphitheatre%20-%20US&utm_term=%2Bdarlings%20%2Bwaterfront%20%2B2019&utm_content=Darling's%20Waterfront%20Pavilion Distance to some of the most popular areas for day trips: Darling’s Waterfront Concert Venue/Cross Center: 5.7 miles (10 minutes) Bangor International Airport: 10 miles (15 minutes) Acadia National Park: 50 miles (approximately 1 hour depending on traffic) Belfast: 28 miles (35 minutes) Camden/Rockland: 45 miles (1 hour) Portland: 128 miles (2 hours) Mt. • Coleen and Michael's cottage is a great place to stay if you are looking for someplace cozy with peace and quiet. We had a delightful stay!

    Alyssa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming cottages with lots of special touches. Communication was easy and fast and both Coleen and Sharry went out of their way to meet all our needs and to be flexible when our plans changed and we needed to add additional time. Would highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

    Rebekah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeding my expectations! It is definitely small but perfect for one or two people. I loved the cozy, thoughtful touches. Sharry stopped by to welcome me in person and gave me so many fantastic recommendations for local food! This place is comfortable and it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of traveling for work. Would absolutely stay here again!

    Carrie2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a gift you will give yourself if you stay here. I stayed in cabin #2 which was like being transported to a cottage in the French countryside. The decorations are so beautiful, and it is so cozy. They have truly thought of everything here. You are greeted by a binder with all of the information about the farmhouse, the local atmosphere, and “things to do” in Bangor list. The WiFi password is on an adorable little board that’s right within view, the keys are hanging right where they said they’d be, there was a welcome sign with my name on it, chocolates and clean linens waiting, and a cozy fireplace welcoming me to my weekend home. It was absolutely a dream. I love to snowshoe, so there’s ample place for that. The area is quiet is serene, which was perfect for me, as a writer. It was just the best location, with the most thoughtful hosts, at a price that made me feel like a thief. Do yourself a favor, even if you’re local to Bangor, stay here. Be transported by the magic of this little cabin.

We're on a bit of a hill on the outskirts of Orono. The space is a remodeled and expanded former garage which the locals called a barn. It has an upstairs sleeping loft, a bathroom with a shower, a hot plate and a refrigerator, and a main, large room downstairs. One can walk to downtown in less than 20 minutes where we have at least 5 restaurants. There are hiking possibilities without driving anywhere. The University of Maine is our chief attraction but we have sporting opportunities, too
The unit is a recently renovated and expanded garage which now has a large open room downstairs that we use for art projects and yoga when guests are not present. A cot could be set up downstairs for a third guest if desired. Upstairs is a sleeping loft. We tend toward minimalism, but can configure the space with extra furniture if desired. We can also provide art stations and supplies. The upstairs loft sleeps two comfortably. The unit shares part of a wall with the main house, separated by a locked door. Guests don’t have to see us unless they want to meet. We have a dog and two cats, though they don’t enter the unit. We clean thoroughly between guests with clean sheets and towels. Life is too short to iron the sheets, but Émilia up the road does do that. Pets are fine, but we charge a $25 cleaning fee after pet stays to adequately remove their hair, though probably not perfectly. People with pet allergies might want pet free units that are available elsewhere in Orono. We are « naturalizing » the grounds with roses and wildflowers. Feel free to roam about and occupy the porch (shared with us), though it’s cold in winter.
We're on the main street of the town but behind the house is a watershed so there are no neighbors to the north and east of the house. There are three small waterfalls in the creek. It's a bit of a steep walk to the creek, but easy if one is in shape. There's nice hiking around an old, abandoned quarry on the other side of the creek with easier access from a road just past the creek (where trucks used to enter but don't anymore).
  • Thought the rustic tiny house was beautiful 😉You will enjoy a lovely time there!

  • Just off the main road in Orono, (were I once lived and had no idea this gem was here!). Easy access to downtown, restaurants, and gas stations. Upon entering the house, you are welcomed with inviting warmth and a very lovely smell of lavender and sage. The indigenous decorations are beautiful, really fascinated by the two skulls and the coyote pelt. The kitchenette was easy to use! Lewis had supplied a bag of coffee beans to grind for fresh coffee. We helped ourselves to books that were laid out. The bathroom was very clean and beautiful! The stone sink really added so much and the shower was spacious and clean. My favorite part had to have been the very cozy loft. The low ceilings provided a "den" like feel and the bed is probably more comfortable than my own! And, in the morning, Lewis had shoveld a path to our car through the freshly fallen snow! Overall, this stay has been one of my absolute favorites.

There was a map on the fridge of the downtown area that was a very nice touch as well. I have been spending more time in Bangor lately and I am looking forward to using Leah's place again!

Waterfront cottage on quiet Graham lake in the middle of our small working farm. Great spot for quiet relaxation, fishing or kayaking. 2 canoes on the property. Good central location for visiting Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Downeast Sunrise ATV Trail. Private setting. Wifi available at the farmhouse.
There is a closed in porch on the front of the cottage where you can relax and watch the sunset.
  • I enjoyed the place and location so much we have already started looking at a second trip great place for a couple or small family to escape!

  • This cabin was even bigger than it looked on the pictures. It was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Even though we came in the off season, we wanted to stay a bit away from the ‘main drag’. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and quiet. The lakeshore views and grounds were beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

    Pshaww2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's cottage was perfect. Slept very well as it's extremely peaceful. The view of the lake in the morning was wonderful as well. Would definitely return here, especially in the summer!

  • Location was pretty far out there but it's sure worth it. Dan was really nice and gave us great tips for local attractions. Great communicator respond super quick. I would definitely go there again.

    Adam2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. A nice log cabin in the woods with two guest rooms, shared bath, common area with living room and kitchen, host stays upstairs in the loft. Dan was very welcoming and friendly. Communication was excellent.

    Tim2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most unique experience you will have at ARBnB. Dan is a most gracious host and has so many things for breakfast it’s like going to your very own restaurant. The grounds are amazing and Dan is the most friendly and relaxed host. Don’t miss an opportunity to stay here on your travels.

    Anita2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy retreat on beautiful grounds. Maine is just stunning in autumn and Dan's place was perfect.

    Mary2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very quaint and the location is serene. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to lay low, this is a fine option.

    Kate2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This Air BNB, Log cabin at Stonecrop Meadow hosted by Dan in Hampden, Maine, is a lovely log cabin in a beautiful traditional Maine setting. Dan is an excellent host making sure every detail was managed with care. The accommodations were very warm, comfortable and inviting. Dan is very knowledgeable about the area and can help make a visit there very enjoyable. I will book this lodging again when in the area.

    Miriam2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect. Beautiful house in a beautiful environment. Comfortable room and shower, breakfast pantry a great touch - would greatly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in the area.

    Ido2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great how this place is both convenient yet remote and rustic and comfortable! It is an easy drive to the Bangor airport and to other destinations in this part of Maine, but the long dirt road to the property was my first indication that this Airbnb is nestled in a wooded area off the beaten track. There is a large meadow which was sunny and warm during my October visit, there are trails right out the back door of the cabin, there is a well stocked kitchen and cupboards filled with bathroom supplies and linens, and the queen room was warm and cozy. I slept well and woke to the sounds of the rooster, perfect!

Charming primitive cabin in the woods, on 35 acres, bordering 5000 acres of Maine State Preserve Land. Enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, and Nature. There is a brook on the property. Ducktail Pond is approximately a 1 mile hike away.
Amenities include outhouse, picnic table, fire pit and gas grill with burner and cooking utensils. A coffee/tea pot, cast iron fry pan, and reflector oven. Cabin sleeps 4, 2 queen-size beds, but there is room for additional tents and even campers. There is no electricity or water on the property. We have gas lights and a wall mounted propane heater. I will provide firewood.
Although there is cell phone service, it is very quiet and peaceful. Aside from the hiking trails close by, the Union River is a great place to swim or float. The Amherst General store has ice, groceries, gas and a breakfast/lunch counter. The Airline Brewery is a great place to get a bite, a beer, and meet the locals.
  • Great place for the price!

    Shawna2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is located high in the mountains, trees around it and lots of nature. It is small but very cozy. We spent a good 2 adventurous nights and enjoyed the fire outside and admire the stars.

    Ayelen2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Holly was wonderful with me. She allowed my dogs which is always hard, but the real glowing review is in how generous and delivery Holly, the host, was for me. I had to cancel as minute and she waived her policy and took the time to make sure I got my money back. Clearly the camp is gorgeous and I hope to stay soon. Absolutely recommend this Airbnb site unseen as Holly is awesome so the place must be!!! Soon!

    Ingrid2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very clean and on an amazing property. A nice set up for camping including a very nice fireplace and grill. Rustic as advertised but very charming. Outhouse also very clean.

    Colin2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This space was exactly what I was looking for to take some time out of the city. Holly was a wonderful host and I would go back in a heartbeat!

    Jennifer2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Total surprise! Perfectly sized cabin with a lot of fresh air and sunlight. Gas lights and gas grill worked perfectly, no hassle. LOTS of space. Bring some comfy chairs, firewood and snacks and you won't want to set foot off the property! Thank you so much!

    Jacob2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! Can't wait to go back again soon. It's so peaceful there. I love the chest of helpful camping gear that Holly had provided too. This place is worth it for the outhouse alone. It is by far the most spacious and nicest outhouse I've ever seen.

This is a great central location for many of Maine's greatest attractions and places to visit as well as events to attend. We are only 21 miles from the University of Maine, Orono (UMO) and 7 miles from Interstate 95.
It is music friendly with piano, guitar, and available speaker/amp. You are welcome to use staples in kitchen and bathroom which is equipped with a washing machine and dryer. It may be good for other furry friends. Large flat screen smart tv mounted on wall in living area plus lg flat screen mounted in bedroom, small flat screen in loft bedroom. Very easy climate control. House is fairly new with everything in good working, effective functioning. I'd like to add a special note that my cat has taken up residence with my grandchildren so their are no pets on location : ( unless you consider moose, dear, rabbits, and an occasional squirrel scrounging for another nut that may cross your path out back.
Our House sits on 6 Acres of partially wooded land with a grass lawn during the spring/summer and shaded with many large sugar maple trees. It is approximately 100 ft off the road. During the winter snow it is a wonderful site to behold with glittering snow and stars in the evening.

  • An amazing stay, the hosts include every little touch imaginable and are very warm and welcoming. Would strongly recommend for anyone needing a stay in the area.

  • Unfortunately, due to a sudden and extended power outtage in the city just hours before my arrival, I wasn't able to stay at this wonderful location. However, Dwayne and Pati messaged me in advance to let me know of the power loss and provided numerous suggestions and options to rectify it. They were so open and accomadating to come up with a solution. Fantastic folks! :)

    Kelly2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! We were touched by the hospitality and attention to detail. The place was clean, the amenities above adequate and we loved playing the piano and guitar. Our dogs enjoyed their getaway too, with plenty of beautiful scenery to hike in! We look forward to staying here again next time we are in the area.

  • Wonderful house in a beautiful location and about an hour outside Acadia. Dwayne and Patti were very prompt responding to questions and comments and all-round perfect hosts. I look forward to staying with them again next year!

    Chris2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dwayne & Pati’s place is so peaceful and comfortable. The location is a bit remote but was the perfect retreat after spending all day at Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

    Barbara2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Its a great home, quite close to grocery store, gas station and not that remote. Extremely easy to find. Me and my family had a great time, it was very comfortable. The second bedroom is upstairs just in case you miss that detail in the actual post. Its a hour away from Acadia and not too far away from Bar Harbor.

  • Super hosts... great communicators. The two room suite has a comfortable bed and good heating... spotlessly clean... all sorts of shampoos and lotions and soaps in the tub/shower, not a full kitchen but a microwave and lots of plates and teacups and coffee, tea, sodas in the fridge. Lots of friendly touches, too like books and playing cards... it’s in a quiet residential neighborhood, a short drive from anywhere in Bangor, and a comfortable striking distance to the University of Maine (where I was headed to visit my son)... WIFI was solid, and I stayed up with a book rather than using the big flat screen TV that is in the bedroom, but it looked like it had a complete selection of cable including NetFlix, too. This is one of the nicest short visits I’ve had using Air BnB. I recommend CharmHouse highly.

  • This place is a gem- and so are the hosts! My partner and I stayed for a week in search of housing in the area, and this was a great home away from home. The place was great and had everything we needed. It's centrally located and within walking distance to downtown and some local eateries. Coleen and Michael were fantastic hosts who gave us suggestions of places to visit and eat and checked in with us throughout the visit. I cannot recommend them and their Airbnb enough. If we weren't moving to the area, we would definitely come back and stay with them!

    Kara2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t beat the value!! Fantastic spot not far from everything you need! Beautifully put together!!

  • Coleen and Michael’s place was so lovely! It is in a perfect location and just minutes away from restaurants & stores. We enjoyed the coziness & added touches that helped make our stay super relaxing. The snacks and bagels were greatly appreciated and very helpful for our early morning departure. • What better way to spend the Coronavirus apocalypse AND our sons 18th birthday than with a quiet weekend on lake. We ice fished and lounged around like it was our job. The house is clean and spacious with plenty of things to make your stay extra lovely. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Lake House.

  • This lake house was beyond gorgeous. My whole family fell in love with it. Had a blast walking on the lake and just hanging out in the jacuzzi in the middle of winter. Now to come back in the summer. Coleen was just a text away with any questions I had and made sure we got up there safely. Highly reccomend

  • The Charm House was an absolute perfect lake house! Coleen was such a great hostess and the entire house was clean, beautifully decorated, and made us feel at home! Everythimg you could have thought of was ready and waiting for us at the house. It was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Maine! What a view as well!

  • This place is amazing, affordable, and very accommodating for all group sizes. Our group of 15 came during the winter and during a small snow storm so although we couldn’t do much outside besides hit the slopes, there was plenty to do inside this cozy, homely house. Communication with the hosts was great and they gave several recommendations, which was appreciated. We want to come back in the summer!

    Aidan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z

Welcome to the Bangor, the gateway to Acadia/Bar Harbor. This 5-star host offers 2 bedrooms in a sparkling home with shared access to bathroom, kitchen, and living space. Park free in my spacious driveway. Neighborhood is quiet and quaint, home away from home. 10 minute walk to waterfront concerts, Shaw's grocery, Stephen King's house, and downtown Bangor. 15 minute walk to Cross Insurance Event Center and Hollywood Casino. 3 miles from the airport where you can take a quick Uber to my home.
When you stay with me, you'll be staying in a clean, quiet, and spacious home. Whether you want to sip coffee on the front porch as the sun goes down or jet in and out for a music festival at the Waterfront, my home is your home for your stay! I've hosted many traveling nurses, flight attendants, U of Maine students, and visitors to Acadia National park and Bar Harbor. The "Blue Room" features a brand new, comfortable queen size bed, a small expandable table, and a spacious closet for your items. The "Green Room" features a brand new, comfortable full size bed, a sitting space, and a large dresser and closet for your items. Both rooms are equipped with ceiling fans but I do not have air conditioning. Lastly, during the Summer, the front porch features a cozy bench and two chairs for enjoying the Summer breeze. I have extra pillows and blankets upon request. Many of my guests have been treated to my delicious banana bread, which I often bake for breakfast. You won't find any TVs on my property which provides for a calmer, quieter stay. That being said, you're welcome to bring your devices with you, I have free WiFi! Sign my guestbook before you leave and see notes from guests around the world.
Quiet, safe, beautiful scenery and architecture all around, very walkable, residential neighborhood. Very close to Stephen King's house, just a short 10 minute walk. Also 10 minute walk from waterfront concerts, grocery stores, and more. 15 minute walk to downtown Bangor, Cross Insurance Event Center, Hollywood Casino and more. Take an Uber for an even shorter ride! Just 3 miles from the airport.
  • I would highly recommend Reda’s place for your next business or pleasure trip to Bangor. The house was perfectly as described, in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close to downtown. The bedrooms were painted in cheerful colors, and the beds the most comfortable of any AirBNB I’ve stayed in. Communication was top notch. There was coffee available in the morning, as well as breakfast pastries & fruit. Looking forward to my next trip to Bangor to stay here again.

Hike-in to your fully outfitted Souix tipi and stay the night to sleep under the stars just as the people of the land did for centuries. Outhouse, solar shower, and furniture will make your mountain stay comfortable and memorable.
Please note Other things to note We are looking for help in making this tipi adventure a reality. We have all the parts, we just need the brawn and adventure to make it a reality. After it is set up and functioning, you can pay your $85 a night to enjoy it work-free. But until then... We are looking for a crew of 4 to help set the tipi and platform up in exchange for 7 nights stay at mountain cabin on property. The work would be hauling the building supplies up the mountain on a mountain trail and the tipi parts. Then erecting the platform and tipi. Hopefully, you can sleep in the tipi on night 7 if all goes well. The work hours would be 9:00-5:00 with lunch at 12-1:00. So if you’re up for a working, adventure vacation where you’d get your 7 nights free, please submit an inquiry of interest and tell us about yourself. After it’s set: Enjoy a unique experience and stay overnight in a tipi. This is not a tipi campground where you have other parties all around you either intruding on your peace and quiet or forcing you to stay quiet yourselves. This is a single tipi in a private wooded setting of 50 acres allowing you to get connected to nature, enjoy the serene setting, and have fun. The interior of the tipi – the tipi skeleton of fir poles hold up the canvass and vent flaps. The tipi is large -- 20 feet in diameter and 22 feet tall. It has a 3 sided chiminea in the center, of course, to create that wonderful ambiance of an open, crackling fire. The tipi is equipped with long-handled retractable forks for easy marshmallow toasting, a grate for cooking, candles, and everything you need for building a fire. The comfortable furnishings consist of four (plus two more outside) 5-foot-long futons. There are also several end tables. And we now have sleeping platforms so you can stretch out your legs when night falls: When you're not enjoying the tipi, you are welcome to explore the 50 acres of private land, as well as the 4000 acres of the very-close-by Great Pond Mountain Trust. You are unlikely to encounter any other humans while in the woods but be prepared to meet deer, turkey, partridge, and even moose! You may see signs of the large pileated woodpecker or hear its crazy-sounding cackling call. Near dusk, walk towards the west for spectacular sunsets. The fall of twilight delights all creatures. For those that are musically inclined, the tipi is a fun place to jam with acoustical instruments and have sing-alongs. In the evening as you're falling asleep to the glow of the fire, you are likely to hear the barred owl hooting. It is a wonderful experience to doze to the sounds of nature and a crackling fire.

Plan a romantic getaway to this 1-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental cottage in Amherst, Maine. Nestled on 50 acres of beautiful farmland with 1,700 feet of frontage along the Union River, this charming cottage offers ultimate privacy, scenic hiking trails, and a prime location, just minutes from a community forest and the quaint town of Amherst.
Bedroom: Queen Bed Pure serenity greets you the moment you step foot on the peaceful 50-acre tree farm, nestled off the beaten path. The property overlooks part of the Union River Valley, and the view to the west is a beautiful, wooded ridgeline of mixed forest. Sit back and relax next to the river and enjoy the views while listening to the soothing sound of water tumbling over ‘Captains Rips.’ Relax with your loved one around the fire pit, and watch as the sun sets on the west-facing ridge, giving the farm its name, ‘Sundown Falls.’ Fire up the grill for a cookout under the sparkling stars, and take a seat at the picnic table beside the cottage for an al fresco dining experience. When the night gets chilly, wander inside the cozy cottage to be welcomed by inviting decor and calming colors. Cuddle up on the couch in the living area and warm up by the propane fireplace. Make your way to the fully equipped kitchenette to make a tasty dessert, and after, get ready for bed by tossing your clothes in the laundry machines and retreating to the bathroom with a walk-in shower. When you’re all cleaned up and ready for bed, rest your head in the queen-sized bed in the colorful bedroom.
This property is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream! Walk right out of the cottage’s front door to take scenic trail walks throughout the property. When you’re ready to pull yourself away from the privacy and solitude of the property, find even more beautiful wooded hikes in Amherst Mountains Community Forest, just a short drive away. The area also offers canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and miles of ATV/snowmobile trails. Golfers, be sure to bring your clubs, as this property is just down the road from the 9-hole golf course in Clifton, the next town over. Find the perfect souvenir in the town of Amherst, home to numerous stores, like the Peruvian Link, a boutique shop that specializes in alpaca fashions imported from South America. If you’re searching for good brews and food, check out Airline Brewing Company, which serves excellent eats and of course, its own craft beers. Additionally, this home is just 30 minutes east of Bangor, a city with numerous restaurants, concerts, and a casino. The cottage is also only 30 minutes south of Ellsworth, known as ‘The Gateway to Down East Maine,’ where there are many shops, pubs and an abundance of summer activities. Furthermore, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are east of Ellsworth, about an hour drive from the cottage.
  • This place was amazing! It was perfect for 2 and a dog! Stan was so nice and was great at communicating with us when our arrival time kept getting pushed back. The cabin was well equipped, secluded and clean! There were great suggestions for places to go nearby!

  • Exactly as described and probably even better - absolutely beautiful property and whole drive here. We were on our Honeymoon and the 1.25 hour drive to Acadia and back every day was actually pretty fun. We really enjoyed ourselves and I liked being able to stay deeper into the Maine woods. The host was extremely friendly upon arrival and gave some great local tips (go to Mace’s and get a burger!). Highly recommend!

  • Great place for a couple! Owners are very nice and helpful. Very secluded but quick access to highways. Get lots of groceries before visiting, the larger towns are close to 25 miles away. Union river in the backyard is very private and relaxing.

  • My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay here! This cozy cottage is beautiful and has a lot of nice touches that makes it homey and welcoming. It was very clean and we appreciated Stan’s warm hospitality. Everything we needed was there and made for a relaxing stay. Also a bonus was that we got to bring our little dog. We took a nice little walk with him in the morning to a nearby river. Would and have recommended this cottage to friends and would come back (would love to be there for the summer). Thank you again for our stay!

The place looks exactly the way I expected, it was sparkling clean when we came in, and all of the adorable touches made it feel like home for the few days we were there. The property somurroundig was amazing and Stan was so helpful, responsive and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. We are already planning our return trip!

  • We had a terrific late fall stay at Kristi’s place. Her home on Brewer Lake provides a beautiful view and is just as described on the website. Kristi was very responsive and available. We would rent at her place again.

    Carl And Pam2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kristi’s definition of their lake cottage as a “little slice of Heaven” is very fitting, and although I’ve never been to Heaven, if it is a cozy cottage on Brewer Lake, I’m in!! We were met by a smiling, waving couple when we pulled into the driveway, and knew immediately that we’d hit vacation pay dirt. My high school best friend and I have been getting away from wives, kids, and business for 20+ years, and have spent many of those years all over Maine. This was right at the top of our north woods experiences. Everything was as described, the home was perfect, we slept like babies, and Kristi was kind enough to come let us in back in when we locked ourselves out, with no judgment!! Warm, friendly people sharing a space that most might keep to themselves. Don’t hesitate to book a stay. Just sitting on that deck listening to the sweet sounds of nature is worth way more than you will pay!!!

    Phil2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • To describe about Kristi's place in one word- Outstanding!! Me and my friends planned for this Acadia National Park trip and decided to stay at Kristi's place which is an hour away from Acadia. We reached around 10 pm and was invited by Kristi, Jerry and the cute dog at that night, at first I was surprised by their warm welcome and straight away felt like home. Thank you Kristi! We were 5 friends and the stay was comfortable with three bedrooms and 4 beds, you need all you want, kitchen utensils, living area with TV and Roku and WiFi available too. The place was sparkling clean. We spent 3 nights and 4 days and the days are just gone like that. It is a private farm and there is a lake down by the cabin with two kayaks which are available to use and we had two kayak mornings and the view from the middle of the lake is stunning with all the fall foliage everywhere. We had two bonfire nights where we all switched off our gadgets and mobiles and just spent some quality time with few drinks and food, Kristi provided all we need for the bonfire she explicitly provided some cardboard's and paper on request. You will also have Walmart in 20-25 min away from the cabin and you'll find gas stations and groceries within 10 min drive. During the nights the view is simply superb with the lake down by the cabin, full moon, bonfire, drinks and friends. Amazing experience I would say. We drove to Bar Harbor which is an hour away through the beautiful US 1 road with all the colors everywhere and you wouldn't know you had to drive an hour too. We did beehive hill hiking, sand beach, Cadillac mountain drive, Park loop drive and Thunderhole in Acadia National Park. Maine is a must watch place and no wonder it is called as Vacation Land and Kristi's hospitality is just amazing and unbelievable. Me and my friends enjoyed it to the core and can't describe in words about Kristi's place. We will come back again and again. See you soon Kristi & Jerry!!

Little City is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Bangor, ME. Meet friends at the new tennis courts, play on the sought-after playground, or just take in the historic homes, we are only a couple of miles from Stephen King's famous home.
  • The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood which is located within walking distance to Hannafords (big grocery store) or to restaurants in Bangor proper. The rooms are spacious and clean. The arrangement is private even though you're within somoeone's home. The owner makes it very easy to enter the home (securely) and provides bottled water, coffee, glasses and utensils. If my son decides to attend UMaine, I will be looking to stay here again.

Even though only one of us is an ice skater, the fact that the owners utilized the frozen lake for a private ice rink was just downright cool. We will recommend this place to any travelers and hopefully we’ll return at some point, how could we not? 😊

  • Very accommodating hosts. Corey took great care of us and went above and beyond with communicating and catering to our wants. Corey cleaned off my truck when it was snowing, plowed an ice rink for us to skate on, and made the place romantic for me and my girlfriend. Definitely an amazing place to stay at and I would strongly recommend it to anyone searching for a place to stay!

    Trevor2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Corey and his wife Angie were so accommodating and amazing during our stay this weekend. We had such a great time and you barely notice that they live just above the air bnb! We are already hoping we’ll be able to come make another trip and stay again this summer. The air bnb itself is absolutely adorable and super clean! Corey really went above and beyond for us by not only cleaning off our car after it snowed but he also cleared off the ice for us to play on with our 10 month old yellow lab Nellie! She had an absolute blast playing in the snow. I would definitely recommend!!

    Katrina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Corey was such a great host! He was very quick to respond to my questions. The space was very clean, and updated. They are dog friendly which was great since we were traveling with our dog. They supplied dog bowls, leashes and treated which our dog greatly enjoyed. This stay was one of the best we’ve had.

  • Excellent stay in a beautiful space. Unbeatable view.

  • We were two couples travelling from NB and NS to do some hiking and shopping over Thanksgiving weekend. We were very happy with everything at the cottage! It was just very comfortable and great to make our own meals. I would highly recommend the cottage and the area, it was great!

    Amanda2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The description is spot on. Heidi’s house was clean as a whistle. Everything felt new, albeit rustic. Nice! I really appreciate nice bed linens and extra soft towels. The location was ideal for exploring the coast some of the time and the highlands some of the time. Thank you, Heidi!

  • I had an amazing time at Nadene's place and would love to visit again in the future. Nadene was super accommodating and kind host and I had everything I could’ve possibly needed. Thank you for everything!!!

    Chiara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I've been traveling extensively for months, but my two nights at Nadene's place may have been my best nights' sleep! A comfortable bed, a wonderful host, and an affordable price - great experience, highly recommend!

    Jeffrey2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nadene is the hostess with the mostest!

    Laura2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed here several times and as always everything was perfect.

    Christine2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough positive things about Nadene and her place. This was my best airbnb experience to date. Nadene was quick to respond to messages and provided clear instructions for parking, entering the house, etc. Nadene was friendly and welcoming, and she made my stay feel like home. My room was stylishly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless and both had amenities that made my stay easy and enjoyable. Nadene even provided breakfast each morning: bagels, freshly cut fruit, and coffee -- both hot and iced! Prior to my checkout, Nadene left a travel mug so that I could take my coffee on the road. The rate is super affordable and, given how wonderful Nadene and her place are, it could easily be much higher. I highly recommend Nadene's place!

    Erin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely would stay again. Nadene's place is very clean and homey. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the tea, coffee, and light breakfast since we got up really early to head straight to Acadia. The location is quiet and just a short ride to downtown Bangor and an hour to Acadia.

    Dalia2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nadene is a very friendly host, wanting to go out of her way to help. Very laid back and flexible. The breakfast was definitely a nice touch!

    Angela2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check-in. Nadene is a very good communicator. Was saying for a few nights en-route to hiking Mt. Katahdin so just needed a place to sleep. Nice, clean and cozy room. Cold A/C, good shower pressure, good wifi, and free off-street parking was a plus. Would stay again if in the area.

  • Dan is a great person. His home is cozy and warm. The twin beds were much more comfortable abd suprising as I expected college form style i was wrong. I also the the property layout. His helpful little cheat sheet of the area is perfect. If you've never been and you like seafood try anglers get the pie its worth it. The chickens were a nice touch and it was absolutely beautiful there. No complaints was a great place to visit.

    Kristen2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Dan is an excellent host! Went above and beyond in accommodations, especially considering the cost! Beautiful cabin on a gorgeous property. The chickens were fun too!

    Jen2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is a cute log cabin in a nicely wooded area. It was close to Bangor and we used it as a central hub to explore Maine. Dan was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was nice having a vacation so we didn't have to eat out every meal. Enjoyed our stay and the peace and quite of the cabin.

    Melissa2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A great, quiet place to stay. Dan is a fantastic and an accommodative host. My wife and I enjoyed our stay greatly.

    Thomas2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great value! This little homestead is very remote but closer to Bangor. You can sit on the front porch and feed the chickens. Out just admire the nature.

    Kimberly2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing log cabin with a private garden filled with vegetables, animals and surrounded by woods. A true get a way in the woods of Maine.

    Maddy2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant time staying with Dan! The log cabin is beautiful, well equipped, cosy, and so, so welcoming. Dan is a true gentleman, very laid back, and so gracious and considerate. The guest experience has been so throughly thought about - everything was labelled for the convenience of the guests, from kitchen cupboards, to light switches, to shelves in the linen closets where fresh, clean towels were provided on a help-yourself basis. The beds were cosy and clean, the living space snug and friendly. The garden is incredable! If you are an animal lover, then there are chickens that roam free, who will run up to you if you shake the jar of cracked corn that lives on the porch. It was a brilliant, brilliant stay! Highly recommended!

    Teresa2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the cabin in the woods, and both host and guests were very hospitable.
