This charming tiny house is situated 5 minutes from downtown Ashland, in a quiet part of town. It is simple, clean and bright. There are ranches across the street, the bear creek flows nearby and grizzly peak is visible. It is parked between the garage and the hedge and close to a shared "luxurious" outdoor restroom. ( it is a small space, only meant for one person)
Guests will be staying close to two other small trailers that are also rented by airbnb guests. The restrooms are around the corner, about 20 steps away, and also shared with 1 to 3 other airbnb guests. Note: There is a reggae band that plays in the garage beside the tiny house a couple of days a week for a few hours. They stop playing at 8pm.
This tiny house is 5 minutes away from downtown Ashland. It is parked on a beautiful land with a creek running by, the mountains in view, and a ranch on the other side of the street. Downtown Ashland has a lot to offer: amazing bakeries, such as Mix, great breweries, such as Standing stone. The Oregon Shakespeare festival is taking place from March till October and there are many beautiful mountains to go explore on bike or foot. Lithia park is definitely worth the visit, with it's lush plant life, beautiful creek and gentle walking paths.
  • Wonderful stay at this beautiful tiny home. It was perfect for my stay while I looked for a home in Ashland. I called it my sleeping pod. It was a comfortable place to rest - all I needed! Thanks again!! 5 stars

Beautiful hand built rustic log house nestled in the Cascade mountains of Southern Oregon. 15 minutes to downtown Ashland, 20 minutes to Mt. Ashland Ski Resort, and a five minute walk to Pacific Crest Trail. This home is the perfect quiet, serene getaway: close enough to Ashland to be convenient, yet completely secluded and private. Features include private covered parking, fully equipped kitchen, private deck overlooking the forest, seasonal sauna, and walking trails.
The house is located on the Siskiyou Summit just south of Ashland. If you are looking to ski/snowboard at Mt Ashland, they have kindly given me full-day lift ticket vouchers which you can purchase from me for $36.00. Exchange the voucher for your lift ticket at the lodge. Let me know if this is of interest to you. The forty acres of forest (unlogged) are the site of the historic old wagon (and early automobile) road, now our driveway, crossing the summit from Oregon to California. This has been our family home since 1982, and we've been caring for this peaceful land ever since. We are part of the bird flyway and our forest is home to thousands of birds. Animals are primarily deer and fox. On the property there are three houses (the log house, the main house, and the pond house), all far enough away from one another to be private and secluded. I live permanently on the property with my dog, Kellen, in the Pond House. I enjoy meeting people and will be available if you need anything during your stay, but other than that, you will have complete privacy. The Forest House will also be rented at times, but has a separate driveway, parking and entrance, forest in between, and won't affect any aspect of your stay in the Log House. The house has a key pad entrance so you can check in even if I'm not home when you arrive. The central heating is adjustable to your comfort. Many guests like to enjoy a fire in the wood stove mornings and evenings. All details for getting to the house, getting into the house, using the wifi, house rules, and everything else will be available to you upon booking in a detailed itinerary section.
The Log House is situated far from any neighbors, making this the perfect quiet retreat. On the 40 acres of forested private land, there are two ponds, some walking trails, a seasonal sauna that can be used upon request, a gazebo great for hosting family dinners, and great view points of Mt. Ashland, Mt. Shasta, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Within five minute walking distance is a Pacific Crest Trail trailhead for hiking, or endless trail running. Great bike rides take you up to Mt. Ashland or down to Emigrant Lake on beautiful roads with few cars. From about Christmas through at least the end of February, one can usually play in the snow. Build sled runs and snowmen, snowshoe or cross-country ski from the house (I have many snowshoes and x-country skis are rented in town). Mt. Ashland Ski Area of course has rentals for all levels. As I mentioned before, I have vouchers for full-day lift tickets for $36.00 a day. Exchange the voucher at the lodge for the lift ticket.
  • Great location and beautiful space!

    Libby2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy and cute! Great for a quiet getaway and super close to Mt Ashland.

    Michele2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t pass this opportunity to stay at a truly magical home during your stay in Ashland. The pictures are completely accurate the sauna is wonderful the kitchen is well stocked, with the best stocked coffee and tea selection I have ever come across, the beds and bedding are very comfortable and cozy. The wood stove is easy to operate with plenty of dry kindling to keep your fire. Well stoked. The location is beautiful and peaceful and adjacent to the Pacific Crest Trail. The host is very friendly, accommodating and easy to communicate any needs with followed up by quick responses by the host. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Ashland.

    Elizabeth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully quaint place. Greatly enjoyed the deep tub with plenty of hot water and the solarium where we stargazed. Thank you!

    Kevin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed a week in Micheline's cabin for our honeymoon. It was very cozy and private, and I was surprised at how warm it stayed, even in February without using the wood stove. We loved being able to go adventuring in the woods and on the nearby Pacific crest trail, and also how close it was to both Ashland and Medford for eating out and shopping. Everything was very clean and comfortable, I would definitely recommend

    Kathleen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful, little log home! Micheline is an absolutely amazing host and a joy to talk to. Communication is clear and prompt. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances including an espresso machine and delicious local coffee. A wood stove makes the living room a cozy place to watch the snow fall. This is the ideal space for relaxation if you're looking for some peace and quiet.

    Kris2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mich and Nico were wonderful hosts and their place is a beautiful collection of houses in magical woods. They were really helpful in their suggestions of where to explore. It was a privilege to stay in such a lovingly hand-crafted home. It has such a characterful and cosy feel, especially with the wood-burning stove roaring away in the middle of the living space. We had a fantastic time.

    Benjamin2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Staying at Micheline’s cabin was a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend opting to use the sauna. This is one of the better Abnbs I’ve stayed at and am coming back for sure. Was here for a work trip but can see how this would be a great place for Skiing at My. Ashland.

  • Charming and thoughtfully run..... we are repeat visitors!

    Alison2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • All the reviews for Kym and Keith are spot on; the place is a lovely small farm and the two of them were as welcoming as could be. We (unexpectedly) ended up staying in both the Cottage AND the Cabin and it could not have worked out any better. From the farm tour to the small design touches that are everywhere, we were over-the-top happy with our stay.

    Scott2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kym’s place was AWESOME! Prime location for our 4 day stay in Ashland. Adorable kitchen, lovely bathroom - 2 shower heads!! The bed was very comfy too. Coffee was lovely every morning too! We played Yahtzee each night in the living area. The way the space is set up is perfect :) great way to make the most of the studio layout. The donkeys—Sophie, Haley, and Diego were the cherry on top of the experience! With the help of Keith, we fed them carrots. We greeted them every morning with pets and love. They also gave us a little show with playful antics each evening out our kitchen window. :) We loved our stay! We look forward to being back. Thanks again!

    Taylor2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kym’s place is fantastic. I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and our 1-year-old daughter. Kym’s responses were quick, clear, and informative. We briefly met Keith in person during our stay, and he was lovely too. With a baby who doesn’t quite sleep through the night, we were grateful for the distance between the cabin and the main house— I would have felt self-conscious that she might be keeping other people awake if we were in closer proximity. The farm is peaceful and beautiful— the cabin is super clean and nicely laid out with a clear living room, dining room and bedroom area (even though it is a studio style room) with cute, personal touches throughout. The space was still comfortable with 2 adults, a pack-n-play and a toddler. The 3 donkeys outside were an added bonus for a family of animal lovers. Once we arrived, we wished we had planned to stay at this leg of our trip longer. This is definitely somewhere I’d like to stay again if I were in the area and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay!

    Najwa2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was, in a word, perfect. It was the right size for the two of us. The cabin was cozy and contained everything we needed for our romantic getaway. The bathroom was stocked with the necessities. The kitchen/dining area was huge. The pictures don't do the cabin justice. You have to see it to believe it. There is a bit of road noise coming off the interstate but, after a short while, it became faint and unnoticeable. We had no trouble sleeping in the comfy queen-sized bed. Kym and her husband, Keith, are the most gracious of hosts. They were so incredibly accommodating and friendly. We whole-heartedly recommend the cabin. On a side note, they also have a cottage on their property to rent which was gorgeous inside.

    Tricia2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this beautiful farm house was amazing. We enjoyed everything about it from the donkeys to the comfy bed, to the little touches that made it extremely homey. Fantastic views all around. I will certainly rent again when I come to town, as well as refer to my friends and family.

  • Jodie's place is really tastefully decorated and clean. It's easy to find in the daylight hours, but in the dark might be tough to see the address and where to turn and park. Also, I didn't realize Pacific Highway is the same as Highway 99, but quickly figured that out. My stay was a perfect stop over to rest and recover from the long drive between Sacramento and Portland. I was traveling with my dog so it was nice to be able to let him sniff around the grounds, and hike a short walk from the property. It's a lovely spot and a cute cabin. There's no stove, but there's a hotplate that I used to cook some gluten free pasta. I would recommend this beautiful spot by the creek.

    Melanie2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The creek is everything- It is like living in a fairie kingdom as soon as you arrive. A great place to be cozy and reflect with your loved ones!

  • A wonderful idealic retreat in the forest next to a creek. We so wanted to stay longer.

    Mary2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Jodie’s cabin! What a beautiful, pristine setting and cute and cozy cabin. All of the woodwork in the cabin was beautiful and the artwork was so fun and unique. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully have more time to explore the gorgeous property.

  • Amazing setting and such a cute and comfortable cabin! The woodwork was beautiful! We absolutely loved staying here and will hopefully be able to visit again with warmer weather so we can explore the beautiful property!

  • Very cute cabin in a beautiful setting! Loved it and will stay again!

    Erynn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is heavenly, sitting on the porch listening to the creek. A little paradise in the woods. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a retreat in a pretty quiet part of the state. My only regret is that the shower is kind of short, but then again I’m 6’4”. Otherwise I loved it and wish I could rent it!

  • It was a pleasure to stay here. The studio was near restaurants and supermarkets, as well as the bus stops. The studio itself is really well-equipped and ready for a long term stay. I had a lovely time there and really enjoyed it. Also, the communication with the hosts was brilliant, straightforward and with quick responses. • My first experience with an Airbnb. I got injured the first day there and couldn't walk or drive. Couldn't have gotten through it all without Bert and his lovely wife. Kind and caring doesn't begin to describe how absolutely wonderful they were!

    Ellen2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space for the price. I had more than enough room as a solo traveler. I enjoyed the 1.1 mile walk to downtown. It's possible to go entirely on side streets and avoid Main street if you'd rather have a quieter walk in a residential neighborhood. Bert and Nancy are very nice. Please note that sound does travel in the house but Bert and Nancy were very responsive when I contacted them about it. I would stay here again.

Hosts are great and the place is a very good deal, but honestly my favorite things going are the space is that it just feels very good to sleep and wake up in, which is rare to find anywhere.

  • Leslie's suite is unbelievably cute, stylish, and the perfect home for a visit to Ashland. It's largely spread out, between the bathroom, living area with bed, and giant kitchen. Such cute decor on the walls and a feel sense of comfort. The space heater was an added bonus on a cold, Oregon evening. I am grateful that I got to sleep here during my long roadtrip. I would absolutely go back for a longer Ashland visit. Leslie thought of so many things to make a stay in this Airbnb memorable!

This space is full of natural light and perfect for a quick overnight stay or longer Ashland visit. The home is located on the edge of town with horses and pasture across the street and stunning mountain views. We are close to I-5 and to downtown making us an ideal stop for travelers. We have abundant extra linens and a window AC unit to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable and an extra twin mattress for a third guest if necessary.
The house has an open floor plan making it easy to share the space. There are front and back porches to add to the open shared space giving relief from the rain or sun depending on the season.
Although we are located just 1.5 miles from downtown Ashland, our property feels rural. There are horses, mules, and cows in the pastures across the street. Guests enjoy the view of Grizzly Peak, rising above the valley to the North. Neighborhood grocery stores, local movie theatre, and a variety of shops are a short five-minute drive.
  • Joe’s place was a great Ashland Oregon place. Great hospitality and wonderful bedroom and bath.

    Debbie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joe was very welcoming to my two cats. He even let me introduce them to his dog, Lucy. However Lucy was fearful towards them. Joe was extremely friendly, he even let me use his rags to take care of my trouble-making cats.

  • This was my third time staying at Joe’s place. The rate is so reasonable and the home, bedroom and bathroom are spotless. The room is perfect for a solo traveler like me. It’s truly my favorite Airbnb rental because of its creature comforts, cleanliness, surrounding beauty and super chill vibe.

  • Everything is perfect about this place. Lovely host and a beautiful house.

    Kartik2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Joe's place was wonderful. Very clean, lovely design touches, nice view from the room, comfortable bed, and a very sweet dog, Lucy which was like frosting on the cake. He was very easy to talk to, and I felt very comfortable.

    Rita2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My second time staying at Joe’s. This time with my dog! We had a comfortable and nice stay! Warm and cozy in the house :)

  • This may be the best Air BnB I have experienced! My partner and I often choose private rooms in homes when we use Air BnB. If that's what you're looking for, Joe's place is a very high value with a low cost. Excellent location on Main Street but just outside of town, easy checkin, comfortable, clean and tidy, great amenities. If you cook during your stay, the kitchen is great for that much needed at- home cooking experience, and it is fully outfitted with clean, quality supplies. We really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches in the room, like water and glasses, extra blankets, dark window drapes, house and room keys. Joe and his partner were wonderful and very nice to talk to, but also gave us plenty of space to do our own thing. Overall, fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it!

    Madeline2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a great host. Very quick to respond to messages. His large house has great amenities: washer/dryer, kitchen, off-street parking, beautiful views and a yard. Very affordable in a great location in Ashland. Our bedroom had a beautiful view of the foothills to the east. I highly recommend.

  • This place is a real gem in so many ways. Not only is it walking distance to so many great places within Ashland but it is also very cosy. The whole cottage is nice and cosy, the bedroom has a beautiful view to the mountains. Everything was super clean and equipped with all you need for the stay from hairdryer to kitchen equipment. The host is super friendly and made sure I felt taken care of. I would recommend anyone to stay here and would definitely come back. Thanks again.

  • We had a wonderful time at the cottage. This is a lovely, light filled, warm and cozy place in the heart of Ashland. One can easily walk in a few minutes to the Shakespeare Festival and all the restaurants and shops near Lithia Park. Margaret is a wonderful host, very responsive and she made sure everything was as comfortable as possible. We wholeheartedly recommend her place.

    Susi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is a gem. One of our favorite Airbnb stays. Very clean and comfy stand alone cottage in a terrific spot just above downtown. Lovely sunny spot, quick walk to downtown or hike through Lithia Park. Cottage has absolutely all you could need and Margaret does a terrific and very complete job as a host. Highly recommend.

    Holly2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret's place was everything we'd hoped for. It was quiet, the view was incredible and it had everything we needed. It was so well designed. Communicating with Margaret was really easy and she was understanding when our check-in time kept moving later and later. We've been visiting Ashland for years and usually stay at another bnb but Margaret's place is our new spot. I recommend you book here while you can. We loved it.

  • Second stay here and it was fantastic both times!

    Curtis2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Easiest place to love. Super clean. Warmed by thermostat controlled gas stove. Awesome interior wood paneling with cozy loft. Perfect for one to four guests. Many amenities provided. If you’re anywhere in the area, don’t miss this perfect place to stay.

  • Modern, lively, amazing setting and views of mountains. Totally secluded. Great kitchen and amenities.

    Karen2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to! This is a unique, high quality and comfortable home. Sitting outside in the hot bubbly spa, on a crisp February day was divine. The bed is cozy, kitchen fully stocked (I really love the refrigerator too), and a Huge TV with all the steaming options. This place has everything, even a sauna, deep soaking tub, and an outdoor bbq. Plus it was ALL spotless! We’ve already booked our next stay :)

  • Beautiful beautiful beautiful view!!! We loved every single thing! Loved it!!!

    Celeste2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was my girlfriend and my all time favorite Airbnb. It was a beautiful little house on a lovely hill overlooking Ashland and the surrounding mountains. We were there for three nights and ended up cooking dinner 'at home' on all three because we enjoyed our time there so much. The one thing I would say is that it is not really walking distance to downtown (probably a steep 35 minute climb), which didn't bother us at all. There is a pool, sauna, hot tub, large TV and an interesting collection of books to read. It was a great time, and I hope return for another stay soon.

    Andrew2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful space, very stylish, amazing outside space. We would love to come back. We really appreciated the privacy of the house and yard, yet it was also so close to town. We look forward to staying again.

    Kate2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The home has an unbelievable view, everything was great! It is in an amazing location just outside of town. It had everything we needed for a great weekend away. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful 4500 sq ft home nestled in the Cascade mountain forest of Southern Oregon. 15 minutes to downtown Ashland, 20 minutes to Mt. Ashland Ski Area, 5 minute walk to Pacific Crest Trail. The Forest House is the perfect quiet, serene getaway: close enough to Ashland to be convenient, yet completely secluded and private. Features include garage, fully equipped kitchen and dining, two living rooms, three bedrooms, large sunroom w/ofuro overlooking forest, seasonal sauna, and walking trails.
The homestead is located on the Siskiyou Summit just south of Ashland. For skiers/snowboarders, it is a short drive up to Mt Ashland Ski Area. They have kindly given me vouchers for full-day lift tickets which you can purchase from me for $36.00 (!!). Exchange the voucher for your lift ticket at the ski lodge. Let me know if this is of interest to you during your stay here. On the property there are three houses (the Log House, the Forest House, and the Pond House), all far enough away from one another to be private and secluded, surrounded by forest and meadows. We live permanently on the property with our dogs, Kellen and Wilfred, in the Pond House. We enjoy meeting people and will be available if you need anything during your stay, but other than that, you will have complete privacy. The Log House will also be rented at times, but has a separate driveway and parking area, forest in between, and won't affect any aspect of your stay in the Forest House. Families and friends often rent both houses together, hiking on the PCT, taking in a town event or a play at the Shakespeare Festival, doing picnics in the gazebo, saunas and campfires in the evenings. The house has a key pad entrance so you can check in even if I'm not home when you arrive. Also a keypad at the automated garage door. The central heating and air conditioning is adjustable to your comfort. Many guests like to enjoy a fire in the wood stove mornings and evenings. All details for getting to the house, getting into the house, using the wifi, house rules, and everything else will be available to you upon booking in a detailed itinerary section.
The Forest House is situated far from any neighbors, making this the perfect quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Or if you are gathering for a get together of family and friends, you can have fun surrounded by miles of beautiful forest and mountains. On the 40 acres of forested private land, there are two ponds, some walking trails, a seasonal sauna that can be used upon request, a gazebo great for family picnics and celebrations, and great view points of Mt. From about Christmas through the end of February, one can usually play in the snow. Build sled runs and snowmen, snowshoe or cross-country ski from the door (I have many snowshoes and x-country skis can be rented in town). Mt. Ashland Ski Area of course has rentals for all levels and slopes for experts and beginners alike (and access to off-trail). And as I mentioned before, Mt Ashland has kindly given me full-day lift ticket vouchers to pass on to you. You buy the voucher from me for $36.00 and exchange it at the ski lodge for your lift ticket.
  • Micheline allowed us to use her place for our wedding day. She went above and beyond to provide linens and more for us. The space was absolutely beautiful and her communication throughout the whole process was excellent.

    Moriah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The forest house is that rare combination of seclusion that is close to Ashland's many attractions. About five minutes from I 5 it is only 20 minutes from skiing at Mt. Ashland; 15 minutes from Ashland's shopping, restaurants and theatre; and walking distance to the Pacific Crest Trail. The house was spacious enough for all six of us comfortably in three bedrooms. It is insulated and has an efficient wood stove with a large stockpile of firewood and kindling in addition to central heat. The kitchen is well stocked with the cooking essentials. There is an indoor ofuro and an outdoor Swedish wood burning sauna. It is full of natural light from an abundance of windows onto the surrounding forest. Highly recommend this airbnb for hiking, skiing, Shakespeare or just relaxing with a good book in front of a fire. We hope to return in warmer weather to enjoy the barbecue on the deck.

    Mark2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • i LOVE, LOVE, LOVED my stay at Micheline’s place! The home itself is bright, open and clean, with many supplies and amenities. I stayed for a week as a meditative retreat, and grew more relaxed and rejuvenated each day. It’s in a forest setting, a mile and a half from Mt. Ashland. It was fun to hike the surrounding land, especially just after fresh fallen snow. Micheline is one of the most gracious and responsive hosts that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting over the years. She offered a tour of the land, let me borrow a coat, gave me special books to read, and yet was also very sensitive to my privacy and alone time. What an absolutely wonderful getaway. The Forest Cabin will be my first choice when I return for future visits to Ashland. Thank you so much, Micheline! 💜

    Jaspen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Micheline‘s place was outstanding! The pictures don’t even show how beautiful her place is! She also is one of an amazing host!!! She respond fast and helps with whatever needs you have! She has helped me out more than once and she still managed to be the sweetest host I’ve ever met! I will definitely come back to enjoy her place, property and it’s surroundings more!!

    Pia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! From the beautiful snow to the quiet forest. This stay was warm, cozy, clean and in a beautiful location. The space hosted my team of eight perfectly. The beds were comfortable the rooms were spacious. The host thought of little things that made our stay perfect. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely be booking this place again!

    James2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Micheline’s place was so very great! We didn’t arrive till around 11pm which wasn’t a problem she even left the lights outside on for us . She was very helpful on tips about how everything worked and even offered to grab us things while she was at the grocery! (How kind) The place was very clean even the tub was immaculate. There was chopped wood stocked up and ready for us to use for our stay and if you run out she will supply more . All in all great place and will be returning !

    Lyssette2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay in Micheline’s house. We stayed there for 3 nights with our two little boys (3 & 2) and couldn’t wish for anything better. Everything is clean, very spacious, lot’s of room to play and chill. The beds are good (very important!) and there’s a sauna and a hottub with forest-view. Lovely! The location is great for snow and ski-lovers. Only 20 minutes drive to the ski area. We’ve been sledding every day in lots of snow! The house itself is located in a forest, very quiet and nice to stroll around with kids. Like I said, I couldn’t wish for anything better and might be back soon!

    Christien2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a secluded getaway with close proximity to Mt. Ashland ski resort (only 15 minutes away), this is the spot for you. The property itself is off the highway in its own private area that is only accessible via a secluded gate entrance. The grounds has three buildings; two of them are cabins Micheline rents out through AirBnB, and the third is where she and her son themselves reside. The homestead we stayed in was very clean and orderly when we arrived. The house has a fully loaded kitchen with almost every cooking utensil you could imagine (although there isn’t a microwave and dishwasher, but to be honest it goes with the aesthetic of the place). There is a sauna unit attached to the house via a wooden walkway, although it isn’t free for use and carries an extra $25 use fee and you have to inform Micheline in advance that you plan on using it, but in our experience it was totally worth it. The house is stocked with plenty of blankets, pillows, bath towels, sauna towels, and basically everything else you could need. There is a fire operated furnace in the living room with plenty of firewood already prepared for you to use (Micheline also leaves very clear and easy instructions on how to start and maintain the fire). To access the property itself you have to take a road off the highway (Micheline will give you clear instructions beforehand), go through a private gate, before driving to the house itself. It’s important to note here that the road was fairly icy when we went there, so you’d want to make sure you have a vehicle that will be able to handle the off-road element of it. Micheline herself is very nice and considerate when it comes to answering questions about the property or things to do in the area. I would recommend consulting with her about your plans for your trip in Southern Oregon as she has a wealth of knowledge regarding the location and things to do in the area. All in all, if you’re deciding between places in this area, stop deciding and book this, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Adorable, clean, and charming. I stayed in a room with a shared bath which was very clean and the complimentary soaps smelled amazing. When I woke up, the smell of fresh coffee from the lobby wafted into my room and pulled me out of my deep sleep which was induced by the extremely comfortable bed. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot for any future Ashland stays!

  • Marilyn is so kind! She definitely made me feel right at home as I approached the house. Very easy to get to wineries, and the downtown area. Ashland is such a cute town to visit and this home was the perfect place to stay, plus she even made cookies for me! :) I would definitely stay here again!

    Marina2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place is as advertised. I was attending a weekend of reunion events so was on the go most of my stay. There was one other guest - also on the go - and I never heard a peep. The guest rooms are upstairs and there is a shared room for guests with coffee, tea, breakfast items and a TV. The shared bath was very clean. My bed had a spectacular view of the hills across the valley and the chickens outside added a touch of country charm. The location, just outside Ashland city limits, was very convenient since I had a car. The room was a very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again under similar circumstances.

  • Clean and tidy tucked into the trees. Enjoyed the energy and the positive vibes from our hosts.

  • John is a wonderful host! He greeted us with a sweet gesture of a bow. He showed all the ropes of his Airbnb and made it clear to reach out to him if we had any questions (which we did!). He was prompt to help us. 🙂 We had to use the dinette for a bed and as John suggested, it’s meant for children. We found out that it’s not too comfortable for my almost 6 foot son. 😜 But he made it work and never complained.

    Debbie2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • I wish I could give John and Jeannie six stars, or maybe more. The camper is lovely. It's clean, quiet and in a great location very close to Ashland. I felt right at home pretty much instantly. John and Jeannie must be some of the kindest and most warmhearted people I have ever met and I feel blessed to have met them. I enjoyed my stay so much that I ended up staying two more days than planned! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ashland or the surrounding areas!

  • We had a fantastic stay at Katherine and Ted’s cottage. Beautiful location and exceptional hosts made our anniversary very memorable with extremely thoughtful touches. We will definitely be back!

    Jared2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine and Ted were very considerate and accommodating to ensuring the space would be safe for me with respect to my chemical sensitivities. We enjoyed mornings in the grass by the pond watching the ducks land but just missed getting to help Katherine and Ted make wine from their homegrown grapes!

  • Great stay, perfect weekend gateway!

  • Wonderful cottage, close to town but feels pastoral and idyllic. Loved the personal touches to welcome us to the space. Would def stay again!

    Charles2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful pastoral setting and just a few minutes away from the lovely town of Ashland. Waking up and looking out on that pond was just wonderful. And Ted And Katherine were so gracious as hosts. Forget hotels... this is our new Ashland home away from home

    Chris2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this spot. Very serene, with beautiful views. The cabin was comfortable and the hosts were very thoughtful, leaving snacks and coffee. The bed was comfy. We also appreciated all the non-toxic cleaning products. Our hosts were also very quick to respond to questions and were very flexible with our arrival time. We only hope we can stay longer next time!

Located above the boulevard between Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the University of Southern Oregon - family home, shared with retired couple. Two rooms available separately from airbnb. Double/Full sized bed, shared bath.
This house is located in the historic district within a 5-10 minute walk from OSF and 5 minutes to food market. Shared bath with the other airbnb room available. There is a full sized bed in both rooms so ok for two if you're ok with it. This is a room we rent to students during the school years, so it's NOT luxurious but clean and comfortable. No air conditioning (yet) in the house, so the room can be pretty toasty during the day - nights everything in Ashland cools off nicely. The house is on a quiet residential street, one block off the main drag - but very quiet and few cars during the day.
We're on a very quiet, residential street, broad front porch and shared living room/kitchen downstairs.
  • Great room in an amazing location. Easy walk to Lithia Park, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and SOU. Terry is a great host and very responsive. I felt at home and very comfortable.

    Steven2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • My extension with Terry went just as well as my first month! I would highly recommend 462 Allison for anyone who is looking to enjoy all of what downtown Ashland has to offer, with its prime location. The house is very charming, and the entire neighborhood is very friendly.

    Bryce2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Terry is a fantastic host. He is very cordial and prompt with his feedback. The house is very charming and filled with unique displays of art throughout the house. You would be hard pressed to find an Airbnb in Ashland with a more prime location, as you are a very short walk from downtown Ashland.

This private, comfortable, two story guest house is located one block from Downtown! With stylish furniture, a large furnished private deck, and a space that can comfortably sleep 4, it's sure to give you a great visit. Enjoy a short walk to Shakespeare (6-8 mins per iPhone map), great coffee shops, Lithia Park, amazing restaurants, or stay in and enjoy the view off the private second story deck. We feel fortunate to offer such a lovely space in such a great location. PA number on file.
Permitted by the City of Ashland, this charming guest house is nearly 700 sq. feet (not including the deck!) and offers a spacious DOWNSTAIRS bathroom (with tub and shower), living room, kitchen, loft bedroom, air conditioning, and a large private deck. We offer a king sized bed in the open UPSTAIRS loft and a full sized pull out sofa sleeper downstairs in the living room. There is a spiral staircase which connects the living room downstairs to the loft bedroom upstairs. One of our favorite parts is the large private deck which sits on the second floor. It has a rural feel but sits atop downtown! For those traveling with children, we offer baby gates, a high chair, outlet covers, and a pack-n-play (upon request.) We also have some children's dishes, books, toys, and DVD's (and DVD player). We also offer coffee/tea and Netflix and Hulu (no cable or antenna channels available) for you to enjoy! Please note - due to Ashland's strict zoning requirements, we are not able to offer a traditional cooking stove/oven. For those who wish to dine in, we provide high quality table top induction burners (the same that most stoves offer), a large toaster oven (which can fit a 16" pizza), coffee pot and electric tea kettle, and a microwave. While we were disappointed we were not able to provide a traditional stove, we were happy to discover such well designed and effective alternatives.
We are located in the beautiful historical Ashland district. We feel very fortunate to live in such a lovely neighborhood.
  • Unfortunatly, we had to do a last minute cancellation because of an impending snow storm and covid19. Scott handled it graciously. We hope to stay in their lovely guest house on our next visit to Ashland!

    Jeana2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Have experienced some tough times both at work and in my personal life. Needed a girls weekend away to recharge. This place was AMAZING! We had all the privacy we wanted, yet there were so many thoughtful touches we felt totally pampered & cared for. Loved that we could simply walk to downtown Ashland & explore. Can't wait for another visit!

    Sue2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have hoped for a better place to stay in Ashland. The attention to detail was amazing- everything from home baked cookies and fresh fruit to a generous supply of fresh towels. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants, the park, shopping or the theater. Becky and Scott were ideal hosts and we will definitely be back!

    Kari2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • You will love this place. Excellent, easy to find location. Super clean and inviting. Lots of extra perks (delicious cookies, coffee, and such). And, caring attentive hosts. We’ll be back for sure.

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Becky and Scott’s place could not have gone better. Exceptionally bright, clean and truly charming. You can’t beat the location, one block from downtown. We had extra towels, great coffee to brew, extra pillows for the oh-so-comfortable bed and my personal favorite —multiple tissue boxes at our disposal. We would happily stay there again. Thank you Becky and Scott!

    Patti2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Scott and Becky's place is a very charming and delightful place to stay and is convenient walking distance to everything. We never used our car during our stay. Becky graciously checked in with us to be sure everything was working out. You will love this place too, if you can get a reservation!

    Whit2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Ashland. Everyday we walked to shops downtown and up into Lithia. The house has great style and felt like home to us. Scott and Becky provided thoughtful extras like great coffee and a bowl of organic fruit. Becky was quick to respond to any questions we had. We kept joking that they should be putting on classes on how to be Airbnb hosts :) Would definitely recommend.

I am definitely going for a 5-Star Vacation for you! Accuracy: This apartment sleeps 4. It is a 480 sq' upstairs apartment over the garage, which is separate from the house Exterior Handicap lift works but the room is not fitted for wheelchairs Queen sofa sleeper in living room 4-poster queen bed in master Bathroom is off master bedroom (guests staying in living room on queen sofa sleeper must pass through master bedroom to access bathroom) New TV's in both in master and living room Large double door, closet in bathroom with hanging shelving unit and hangers Small dresser in master bedroom Luggage rack, side table and bedside tables in master bedroom OTHER AMENITIES: Linens, bath towels and pool towels (seasonally, pool is open June through Aug), shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, alarm clock, blow dryer, emergency kit with spare toiletries, dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, toilet paper, dish rack, full kitchen with dishes/glasses, wine glasses, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, pots, pans, kitchen utensils, dish towels, kitchen table, kitchen chairs and two extra kitchen chairs in pantry. NOTE: We have two large dogs who live on the property but we do not allow pets in the rentals due to guest allergies. They have their own pen and don't wander the yard. It nearly kills me when people ask to bring their pets, even after reading this. I know we like to travel with our dogs but this entire place is carpeted and I have to watch out for our hundreds of guests. Value: Part of the room rate come to me but Airbnb takes a large percentage, and charges you a larger percentage. When considering “Value”, please consider this! Communication of Host: Upon booking, you will receive a Welcome Email from me letting you know our address, where to park and how to enter the room which has 24 hour access. Communication beyond that is completely up to you! I do encourage guests to let me know if there is a need to meet upon arrival, via text message. Otherwise, you might not even see me during your stay! Arrival Ease: There is no “check-in” process involving me as your Host. Your room will be clean and ready whenever your party arrives, and you can arrive any time day or night. Please ask if you need an early check-in or check-out. I always accommodate whenever I can. Location: I answer this question EVERY YEAR! Does no one read this far? Just curious. We are IN the Historic Downtown District of Ashland on the corner of Siskiyou Blvd and Union Street. The address is 514 Siskiyou Blvd. Please MAPQUEST it to get specific distances from the starting location of 514 Siskiyou Blvd. The walk to OSF is roughly 5 minutes and is a very slight downhill, the walk home is very slight uphill. There are well lit sidewalks for walking home after shows. In the pictures, you can see a photo standing at Siskiyou and Union toward town/Ashland Springs Hotel to give you an idea of our location. Overall Experience: It is our intention to provide you with a wonderful home away from home, however, we realize this category is subjective. We hope you will communicate with us right away if something is amiss to give us the chance to give you a 5-Star vacation. We host over 200 parties all year in this room and I'm so proud of our ratings! NOTE: If you are a larger group, we also have another room in the MAIN HOUSE which is across the yard and is listed on Airbnb as ASHLAND CARTER HOUSE, GARDEN ROOM. Please inquire here for availability. FAQ: Yes, we are IN town. You can REALLY walk everywhere. Yes, you can use the pool from June through August - it's not heated but it's small so it stays a nice temperature. We provide pool towels. Yes, you can use the back yard and summer outdoor games. Yes, you can have parties here. It really only sleeps 4. There is no laundry. Yes, there is ample parking in addition to ample street parking. Yes, we have wine glasses. Yes, there is a full kitchen. Both bed and sofa-bed are QUEEN. The sofabed is nice, it has been positively reviewed by guests but at the end of the day, comfort is one of those personal things. Pillows are provided but if you REALLY love your own pillow, feel free to bring it. No smoking on the premises. Yes, there is AC in the master bedroom behind the headboard/curtain. Yes, there is heat that you control with your own thermostat. No pets, I’m so sorry! Cancellation policy is listed on this website, it's a pre-set AIRBNB policy - if you need to cancel or change, you initiate it by requesting it through this website.
We are in the center of it all. We just walk or bike wherever we need to go. The lighted walk home from the theatre gives us just enough time to discuss how much we loved the show, dinner, movie, ice cream, bars...whatever it is we did.
  • Great location! Close to everything but in back of property so very private and quiet. Great space everything as described or better. Excellent host.

  • Katy’s place was perfect for our ski weekend at Mt Ashland, which was about 40 min away. The house is walking distance to adorable downtown Ashland which my wife and I had a ball exploring at night after our days on the slopes. This space is full of natural light and perfect for a quick overnight stay or longer Ashland visit. The home is located on the edge of town with horses and pasture across the street and stunning mountain views. We are close to I-5 and to downtown making us an ideal stop for travelers. We have abundant extra linens and a window AC unit to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
The house has an open floor plan making it easy to share the space. There are front and back porches to add to the open shared space giving relief from the rain or sun depending on the season.
Although located just 1.5 miles from downtown Ashland, the property feels rural. There are horses, mules, and cows in the pastures across the street. Guests enjoy the view of Grizzly Peak, rising above the valley to the North. Neighborhood grocery stores, local movie theatre, and a variety of shops are a short five-minute drive.

Our cottage is comfortably and tastefully furnished. There is a wood burning stove for coziness in the living room and added Heat Pump/AC. A wide screen TV with Wifi, Netflix and HBO. The kitchen is well appointed for longer stays as are the bedroom and bath linens . The back patio has a bistro table and chairs. The cottage is off by itself; privacy and comfort are our main prerequisites.
Our luxuriously appointed private one bedroom cottage is approximately 1000 sq ft and consists of full kitchen with food basics supplied, dining room, living room with large flat screened TV and internet / wifi. The bathroom has a sink and toilet and a spacious shower. Oriental carpets are placed in three of the rooms. A heat pump for heating and air-conditioning is in the living room as is a wood burning stove. The kitchen stove is gas as is the barbecue for outdoor cooking. The back patio is located off the dining room with tasteful outdoor furniture and barbecue. We have beautiful vistas, privacy and a year round creek.
Open meadows, wildflowers, pines and deciduous trees; a year round creek. Good clean air and no noise other than bird song and the sound of running water and an occasional "Moo" in the distance!
  • We keep coming back here because the cottage is so great. Stephanie and John are gracious and generous. By far the best Airbnb anywhere.

    Cliff & Amy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • FULL DISCLOSURE - I’m writing this with a blatant conflict of interest. This experience was so unique and special, I caught myself selfishly trying to keep this a secret by not writing this review. Let me put it this way- the wisdom, beauty, and respect that Stephanie and John wield, have placed a new spirit of kindness and humanity that gives me faith to face the new year with confidence. In my work, I have the liberty of traveling, so I am very well versed in staying in airbnbs and hotels. For the holidays, my husband and I were eagerly planning a trip to NYC or SF, but opted out after I realized I had a lot of work to complete. In blind trust and a sprinkle of fear, we found this cottage listing and after thoroughly reading the reviews and being under pressure, pulled the trigger and went off to the Colestin Valley the very next day. On arrival, we quickly noticed there was nothing contrived, fake, or staged about this cottage. Stephanie has created a spotless mini home that we wish we could have designed ourselves. The amenities were flawless and so well thought out, that anything we needed was within arms reach, all the way until the last hour of our stay. Extremely rare experience. The hosts live in the main house, but it was so private, we felt like we were in the middle of the woods by ourselves the whole time. This has, hands down, been the best lodging experience we’ve ever had, and we are already planning our next extended stay here. In the rush of life to succeed in this world, this was a shot of medicine that we direly needed, prioritizing what’s really important. LOVE. I could say, we were really lucky to have witnessed an older couple who loves so beautifully, they taught us how to love each other better. But this was no accident.

    Annie2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I were looking for a private getaway and we found this lovely little gem! Steph greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and made sure we had everything to settle in. The cottage was lovely and absolutely perfect for a couple. It was well equipped and extremely clean! Steph had thoughtful little touches all around the house. Everything was in tip-top shape. We could not have found a more perfect place. The views were breath taking!!!! Steph was the most wonderful hostess and went out of her way to make sure we had the most pleasant weekend. I do not have a single complaint about our stay! 5 stars, 100%, A+! We will most certainly be back!

    Paige2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place is awesome! It's only a few miles off the highway but you'd never know it once you get back there. Quiet, secluded, private, beautiful. We were there during the fall season and the colors of the trees were just magnificent! If you are looking for a private getaway, this is your place. Stephanie was very friendly and helpful when we first arrived, even bringing me coffee from her house because I forgot my own! The kitchen has everything you'd need, the house is warm, the bed is comfortable, and everything looks clean and nice. 10/10 would go back.

    Julie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we arrived we knew that we were in for a serene treat. We planned a peaceful six week stay and were never disappointed. The wild turkeys and deer were a pleasure and a joy and we even saw a bobcat cross the road one evening coming back from Ashland. A wonderfully beautiful spot with just the amount of serenity that we were looking for. The drive into Ashland is an easy, scenic, 20 minute drive where we found excellent produce and groceries at Shop n Kart and a multitude of wonderful restaraunts. (Don't miss having breakfast at The Morning Glory. Yum!) Our hosts, Stephanie and John are the sweetest, kindest people on the planet. We look forward to a lifetime if sharing good food, wine and friendship. We have grown to love them dearly. Overall excellent retreat, lovely hosts and highly recommend that you stay. • You will stay in a remote location with every comfort, in a beautifully appointed space. You will not want to leave.

    Jim2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the quietest, tranquil, and beautiful places anywhere. No traffic or planes, only deer, turkey, jackrabbits and lizards. Stephanie and John were extremely generous sharing their amazing organic vegetable garden with us. In addition, they were very friendly. They were happy to talk to us, yet also left us alone to relax. Fantastic hosts. We also appreciated that the cottage has a full kitchen, so we could prepare meals. Despite the tranquility, Ashland is nearby if you feel a need to shop, or go to a restaurant. Highly, highly recommended.

  • We ended up at Stephanie’s place after looking for a last-minute reservation near Ashland. Since it was a holiday weekend, we were worried we wouldn’t be able to find a decent place on such short notice. But we just kept coming back to this listing, pulled by the gorgeous views and lovely bedroom. We were so glad we did. The cottage is very comfortable, and the bed was heavenly. We visited Ashland and area every day and happily cooked every night. We enjoyed coffee outside in the morning, watching the lizards in the woodpile. Stephanie is a cook, so the kitchen is well-stocked. While The hosts live next door, we had plenty of privacy and amazing views. It is a drive into Ashland, but it’s beautiful—so even that was not a drawback. I highly recommend this wonderful spot in the world.

  • Awesome little historic hotel right in main town ashland. Very pleased.

  • Had a wonderful one night stay at David’s place. We loved the historic building! The room was cozy and comfortable. Having a sink in the room was a nice convenience. The hotel is centrally located and in walking distance of all downtown Ashland has to offer. Can’t beat the price! The best part of our stay was the lovely and helpful staff. The two people we had the pleasure of meeting were so welcoming. They both also gave us some wonderful restaurant suggestions. Highly recommend staying at the Columbia! We will definitely stay here again!

  • Somewhat felt like time travel to the past. I liked it. Though next time I will book through hotel’s own website, not airbnb.

  • A cozy place just a 4 minute walk from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! Definitely worth staying in if you’re looking for a place in close proximity to the theatres. If you stay here, know that bathrooms and showers are shared (I didn’t personally know this), but they’re pretty clean. Some rooms will have private bathrooms. All and all, I’d come stay here again when I’m next in Ashland!

  • Really loved staying here. The place was super quaint, we had everything we needed in the kitchenette, walking distance from a Safeway and Downtown Ashland/Lithia Park (which we did every day!) I will definitely stay here again for future visits.

  • The Maple house was very nice!! Even though there was no official kitchen everything we needed to cook with was available. The bedrooms were larger than we expected and allowed for all of us to have our own space and the beds were quite comfortable. Having two bathrooms was amazing and the Master Tub/shower was to die for. It was so nice to have lots of towels available. We loved the yard and had it not been so cold would have enjoyed sitting outside. Of course Yoshi was a pleasant plus and we all enjoyed seeing him and giving him some human loves. We will definitely return to this home away from home. Thank you Raleigh for a wonderful stay.

  • Comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms upstairs. My two sisters and I were very comfortable and had plenty of space for quiet reading and private time. Wonderful location, walking distance from downtown and shopping.

  • Maple Suite was the perfect place for our annual "girls' weekend" in Ashland. We loved being close enough to town to walk and being far enough into a residential neighborhood for privacy and peace and quiet. The accommodation was unbeatable for three people who love being together, but also appreciate a little privacy. The beds are comfortable, and we loved the special touches of beautiful quilts and good lighting, and a well-stocked book of menus for local restaurants. We absolutely plan on returning.

    Katherine2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We would stay again. A group of 4 friends stayed here so we would be within walking distance to OSF & the downtown area. We enjoyed our stay. Photos were accurate depictions of the unit. The one thing was the temperature gradient in the unit. It was relatively cold downstairs (we kept our jackets on downstairs) and quite warm upstairs (we stripped down to shorts and a t-shirt). We never heard an HVAC system turn on, but the thermostat was set to 65 degF while the upstairs floor was 72-74 degF. We're not sure why there was such a huge difference in temperature. At least it was a cozy temperature while sleeping! =)

  • This is an excellent apartment for two couples, and will sleep more if needed. I have stayed here for many years and knew what to expect, and that is why I marked that it is what I expected. Please do not consider it a negative that it was not more than I expected. Raliegh is an experienced innkeeper and the unit is clean and well stocked with towels and disposables. Raliegh is a chef and the smallish kitchen has all the utensils and pots and pans one would need to turnout a gourmet meal if one tires of all the restaurants within walking distance. While there is no stove-top one can microwave, bake and broil. A bathroom with shower and smallish living/dining room complete the downstairs. Upstairs consists of two large bedrooms and a very large full bathroom with a big sink top with drawers below and a shower over tub. The bedrooms both have skylights and are large, bright, and airy. They are nicely furnished. The closets border on gigantic and hiding suitcases is no problem. The architecture is interesting in a positive way; these are not modern box bedrooms. The stairs between floors are steep, and those with mobility issues might want to think twice. Parking is in back and entry to the property is through a gate that reveals a welcoming private garden with a lawn and table and chairs. Most welcoming of all is Yoshi, a fluffy waggy-tailed little white dog who was sooooo glad to see us! There is a tree-shaded park less than a block away and a large grocery store two blocks away. Theaters are a 15 minute walk. I've stayed at many AirB&Bs and in my opinion this is one of the best.

Charming garden view studio one block above the University. Kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, hotplate, toaster oven, and coffee maker, all pots and pans. Queen bed, cable TV and WiFi. Bathroom with shower. Sleeps 2, with futon for 3rd guest.
This guest cottage is in the back of our home, with separate entrance. We're away from the bustle of downtown, in a quiet neighborhood above the university. Easy access to hiking trails. 1 and 1/4 mile to Shakespeare and Lithia Park.
Since we're above the Boulevard we have great views of the mountains. Hiking and biking trails are close by.

  • Nadine place was great and everything was as advertised. Best of all walking distance to downtown. Nadine was EXTREMELY accommodating and her place was great. Highly recommend you considering this place to stay if in Ashland and wanting to enjoy everything this town has to offer. I asked her a couple questions during my stay and she went out of her way to advise and make my stay memorable.

    Juan Carlos2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nadine is the kind of host you dream of. Present, but not overly, a kind of presence you want. Every question and request met in record response, w morning ideas (in accordance w the weather, how thoughtful). It's obvious the host of the Mexico Room travels the globe and loves art because there is a real beautiful collection of Mexican (South America) art, plus the furniture is quality. Real good wooden chairs, embroidered pillows, thick carpet, choreographed lighting, cast iron bed frame w an excellent mattress and real wool blankets. Unexpected plus was the bath tub, it's a tub meant for soaking (mind you I'm 5'4") w the lean back slant so you can comfortably bathe for a while. So smart to put the fridge in the armoire, because it quiets the sound. The location is great in that it's near downtown. Plus there's a lovely communally shared garden space w multiple seating areas, pool/pond, even a swing hanging from a tree. Of course I didn't spend much time out there being that it was middle of winter. But cultivated nature spaces in residential neighborhoods is a joy, I had a place if I wanted, to enjoy my morning tea in quiet right out my front porch. This carriage house has three other rooms for rent, mostly had it to ourselves, till the last couple nights but barely could hear them. Only their leaving the room sounds, which meant I could turn up my music ;). Perfect place for a couple. Say Yes, Nadine will meet your every need. Applause.

  • Terrific spot! Great deal! Surprisingly quiet for being on the main road and near other dwellings. Very comfy! Love the decor! Can't wait to come back to see the yard in full glory when it's not winter. It's a mini (but not small by any means) paradise behind the fence. We stayed off the main road - never drove once in the three days we were there - and enjoyed walking to and from downtown Ashland through the neighborhoods. Nadine was amazing from the 1st contact helping me choose which of her rooms to stay in to giving me check in info and keeping me up to date that the room was ready early if we wanted to come by to giving us great pointers on where to eat especially. Spectacular host and facility!
