Places to stay in Goonhavern
Our attractive, modern, ground floor coastal apartment, with its own decking, for one or two guests, enjoys magnificent sea views, is a stone's throw from Perranporth's wide, golden, sandy surfing beach and is very close to village amenities. It contains everything you will need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi throughout. Central heating. No cleaning fees. Parking to rear. The coastal footpath is just outside our front gate. You will never tire of the view; it will keep you spellbound.
If there is a one night vacancy showing on the calendar, between other bookings, please message to enquire about availability. The whole apartment is centrally heated, double glazed and has Wi-Fi throughout. I don't charge a cleaning fee and we also don't charge extra for electricity or for the central heating. Located here in glorious Perranporth, Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible far reaching views, with a landscape which is constantly changing, yet we are only a stone's throw away from the beach and everything which the village has to offer - eateries, shops, bars, pubs etc. You can walk everywhere. We have provided rattan chairs, a table, and full length loungers on the apartment's decking, where you can dine alfresco, all the while drinking in the amazing view laid out before you. Early risers can experience a Perranporth sunrise from a decking viewpoint. We even provide throws and a hot water bottle to keep you warm and toasty should you wish to sit outside when the weather turns chillier. There are windbreaks, seating and mats for the beach located in the main hall. From the decking, step through the French doors into the main living area. Here we have a large flat screen smart television with NETFLIX for our guests, DVD player with dvds, dining table and two chairs, a very comfortable leather two seater recliner sofa, coffee tables and a fully equipped kitchen area. There are ample cupboards and worktop surfaces with fridge (including a small freezer compartment), microwave, electric oven, ceramic hob, toaster and kettle. The apartment is equipped with stainless steel saucepans, Pyrex dishes, white tableware, a selection of various glasses (wine/champagne/tumblers), cutlery, place-mats, tea towels and many other sundries. We have provisioned it with fresh milk, tea, instant coffee, cafetière with ground coffee, drinking chocolate, biscuits and condiments. Dish washing, cleaning items, bin liners, J-cloths etc are kept beneath the sink. Additionally, there is an iron, ironing board, and portable clothes dryer. We have also put out binoculars, board games and playing cards and a selection of relevant books about Cornwall and paperbacks to keep you entertained. There are lots of leaflets in the apartment detailing Cornish attractions, including discount vouchers too, along with a set of tide tables so you can keep an eye on what the sea is doing. I am more than happy to drop off a daily newspaper for you as I always nip down to the village to get my own first thing in the morning. The apartment's main front door is located within this area. Walking through to the bedroom there is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, lots of drawer space, bedside cabinets with matching lamps and a king size bed made up with a king size duvet and attractive bed linen. In addition there is a wall mounted Smart TV with DVD player (there are some DVDs in the apartment should you wish to watch them) on which the internet can also be accessed and NETFLIX for our guests. Additionally, there is a hairdryer and bedside clock radio. The fully tiled en-suite shower room, with heated towel rail, has an excellent power shower and towels (one bath and one hand towel per person) provided, along with various toiletries eg shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. We have our own private car park to the rear of the main property. Check out is at 11am but we are more than happy for guests to leave their car for a few extra hours after this time so that they can eke out their break just a little longer before their return journey. Just ask. From our apartment you can look across to the exact spot on the cliffs opposite where Winston Graham wrote the novels Ross Poldark and Demelza in the 1940's. Of course, most of the filming for the television series Poldark takes place around Cornwall, and hereabouts. The beach is famed for its wide expanse of golden sand, which is cleaned regularly throughout most of the year. It's a tremendous walk to the other end of the beach (just watch out for the incoming tide!) or to meander along the sandy dunes. It's great for surfing, with a surf school practically on the doorstep (closed during the winter months, although there are others in the village open all year round). Lifeguards patrol the beach for your safety during the busier months. Storm watching can be wild and exciting in the winter months, especially if the tides are exceptionally high, when the beach takes on a very different character. Watch all the excitement from inside without getting cold and wet outside! Access to the coastal footpath is practically on our doorstep and it's a glorious walk to St Agnes, which is about four miles away across the cliffs. Or to Holywell Bay in the other direction. The Watering Hole, located on the beach itself, is a very popular bar/restaurant to view some of our amazing sunsets over the ocean. Perranporth Golf Club, enjoying breathtaking views up and down the coast, is one of Cornwall's finest links courses and is only a 1.4 mile drive away. Perranporth Tennis Club has six grass courts and three newly resurfaced floodlit hard courts. It is open to visitors and is only a 0.5 mile walk away from us. The nearest riding stables are just under two miles from us by road. The local doctors' surgery and Boots the Chemist are extremely close, should you require their services during your stay. The bustling cathedral city of Truro is only nine miles away (try The Heron Inn overlooking the Truro River at Malpas, which is just a couple of miles drive/walk from the City centre); the famous Eden Project 26 miles and St Ives 24 miles distant (hint: drive to Lelant Saltings or St Erth then take the train right into St Ives, a very memorable scenic railway journey, albeit quite short, as driving around St Ives can be quite challenging). If you're a Doc Martin fan then why not go to Port Isaac which doubles as Portwenn in the series. We love having lunch at The Budock Vean Hotel (TR11 5LG) at Mawnan Smith, 21 miles away, followed by a walk through the beautiful grounds down to The Helford River (think Daphne du Maurier's Frenchman's Creek). Their Cornish cream afternoon teas are such a treat too: large, homemade scones, with lashings of Cornish cream and Boddington's strawberry jam, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Travelling widely over the years has given us an insight into what travellers like and expect. We have, therefore, used this knowledge when setting up the apartment for our guests. However I am always very open to any suggestions to make your stay with us special and memorable. If you think we've forgotten something, therefore, please don't hesitate to let us know. We don't charge a cleaning fee either. So come and share our view with us. We guarantee you won't be disappointed. Please also see our other Airbnb listing for four people: www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19563456. This apartment is located on the opposite side of Bay Court's main hallway
We have travelled fairly extensively over the years and we both think that the beach here at Perranporth has got to be one of the very best beaches in the world. Come and experience it for yourself.

  • Our stays at Beth's apartment was lovely, the view was amazing. The apartment was clean and tidy. Beth was welcoming and on the phone if needed. Will definitely return one day.

    Alice2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the deck are spectacular. Even in wintery blustery weather it was a stunning place to be. Everything we needed had been thought of. It was great.

  • We had such a wonderful time. Beth had thought of everything we needed and more.

  • Amazing place to stay! Warm welcome and a lovely view. Would recommend to anyone, even in January 😊

  • We stayed at Beth's place for one night for my boyfriends birthday, on arrival their were thoughtful touches of confetti and napkins saying happy birthday and even a card. The apartment was very clean and homely it felt like we had been there forever! Lovely area and lovely hosts, we plan to go back in the future probably in the summer for a few days as it was so nice this time.

    Jemma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Easy communication, thoughtful touches such as flowers, birthday confetti and biscuits to enjoy. Well stocked cupboards, ideal for self catering. Within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants and beach. Perhaps the best feature is the view. Endless hours could be lost gazing out to sea.

Secluded, self contained, 1 bedroom apartment in our home by the sea. Bedroom, bathroom (shower), living area with kitchen. Living room with TV (Netflix, iPlayer ...) sofa, dinning table & chairs, kitchen (hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge & freezer.). Bathroom with shower, sink & loo. Bedroom with king size bed, wardrobes. WiFi, USB ports, Bluetooth speaker. The flat has private parking by it's own entrance (key code access). Not suitable for babies or children and we are keeping it pet free.
It's a cliff top house, overlooking the sea and beach, on the edge of the village we love, Perranporth. To get the great sea views in the photos you do need to step outside the flat and go up the stairs to the top deck, that you can use anytime. From the flat you do have a limited narrow view of the sea down the side of the house (see current photo 13), but it's worth going up the outside stairs ! From the property, walk down to the beach and Perranporth village with plenty of shops, surf schools, restaurants, pubs and cafes. OR turn left onto the coastal path. St Agnes is a bit under a 90 minute cliff top walk. Dinner and a taxi back is a great evening. The house, including the flat was completed in late 2017. We tried to take on a lot of current "eco" build ideas in that the house is well insulated (triple glazed windows, sheeps wool in the walls), and has most of the internal air continually refreshed, not from vents and gaps, but a ventilation system that gives more filtered and dehumidified fresh air into the building than a traditional property. There is some more obvious tech in that the light switches give multiple scenes, the bathroom lights are PIR sensor triggered and the blinds are on remote controls.
Droskyn headland is at the south end of Perranporth beach, at the edge of the village.
  • Rory is a lovely host! The cabin is attached to his house, a very modern ecological beauty, that has his own entrance and is connected to the main balcony showing you one of the best view in Cornwall! He made us feel at home, leaving us fresh local butter in the fridge and delivering local milk every two days in lovely little glass milk bottles. You could really taste the Cornish milk. In the house there were already coffee, tea and shortbread to start our lovely stay. The house is fully equipped with modern and new facilities and he has everything settled if you need to go around Cornwall, maps, books and himself advising you on nice spots where to go! The house has everything a couple should need for a lovely staying in Cornwall! I highly recommend Rory! Thank you!!

  • A fantastic Airbnb space. Really well thought through layout which is very practical and clean. The space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Rory is a great host. He was easy to communicate with before we arrived and had provided some nice personal touches to the space. There are sea views from the lounge down the side of the main house and we wrapped up warm to enjoy local Rattler Cyder on the beautiful balcony overlooking the sea, beach and town. We visited Perranporth when it was stormy with sunny spells and still found plenty to do locally! A really lovely place to visit.

    Mary2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little flat in perfect surroundings. The perfect get away. Rory was super helpful with tips and made us feel at home. We will 100% be back again. Thanks again!

    Samantha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, only a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful space with everything you need for a get away. The shower is ten out of ten! Rory and Sarah both very welcoming and accommodating. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

    Dominic2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very well equipped, elegantly designed comfortable modern flat. Immaculately presented with many additional features such, streaming TV (Netflix, iPlayer etc) Bluetooth speaker, an exceptional shower, high tech insulation & ventilation that keeps one cosy in winter. (we stayed in Feb 2020 during storm Dennis!) and pleasant in summer. Beautiful view from the shared balcony a short walk outside from the flat entrance door down the side of the house & up some stairs. We were sad to leave.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can not fault Rory’s place, it’s beautiful, clean, open, and comfortable! Great value for price, and Rory was so lovely and helpful to us! Location was great too, with amazing views.

    Megan2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cool and clean, and the area was much better than we expected with plenty to do. The pub tips were brilliant and we enjoyed the food. When the storm hit we had an amazing night in with plenty of entertainment. We’ll definitely be back!

    Mike2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

    Marc2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Perfect location. Jill has done a great job at the flat, it is cosy and very clean. I would very much stay there again. Highly recommended!!

    Beatriz2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for having us Jill and all the lovely little touches you left for us to ensure we had a fabulous new year! We loved the apartment! The shower pressure was great, and the shower took no time to warm up! This is a small apartment with a kitchen, oven and hobs, a microwave and kettle and toaster! More than enough for the 4 days whilst we were there. I loved the fact we could also recycle! We had to buy a tin opener whilst in Newquay but that was no problem! One thing I'd have appreciated was a hook on the back of the door just to hang a coat up but we just placed them over the dining chairs! In summer this wouldn't really be an issue. We would 100% return. It was a 20 ish minute walk into Newquay, lovely views of fistral beach and very quiet! Thanks so much!

  • A lovely cottage with beautiful features inside and out! The place was lovely and clean and there were small things such as teabags, coffee and sugar provided which I was very grateful for as I forgot my own teabags. Highly recommend for people wanting to shut out the world and have a cosy, relaxing stay.

  • Great cottage, renovated really well. Lovely village and pub. The host was great and we saw him on arrival. The hot tub is a lovely touch. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Harry2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this quaint cottage with our two young children. We stayed during the winter and it was very cosy and warm. We didn’t make use of the hot tub but hope to return soon without our children where we will. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. There is a local pub and corner shop but also a Morrison’s not too far away either. We would recommend this beautiful cottage for a little get away!

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, welcoming and clean cottage. Everything is as described and the instructions are clear and simple. Quick and helpful responses from Shaun. Thank you :) Highly recommend.

Saint Newlyn East, Cornwall, United Kingdom

The Studio is situated close to Holywell bay, near Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall with its lovely beaches, the area is great for walking, cycling or just chilling. It is self contained with a comfortable double bed & a bed settee, which is suitable for children, it has its own kitchenette & ensuite bathroom. WE ARE HAPPY TO TAKE DOGS, SUBJECT TO A £5 PER NIGHTCHARGE PER DOG. Please note that although the listing is for 4 people that the studio is only suitable for a maximum 3 adults.
The studio is a completely self contained loft with a small decking area where you may sit & enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the sunshine, it is unfortunately not suitable for disabled or infirm guests, being accessed via an external staircase. It is about 1 mile from Holywell bay & Polly joke cove, both of which you can walk to via National trust footpaths. Newquay & Perranporth are about 5 miles away, whilst Truro is around 10 miles away, Newquay airport has regular flights from many parts of the UK & is about 7 miles away. The studio is very comfortable (we lived in it for 2 years whilst rebuilding our house) although the surrounding grounds are a work in progress, so please don't expect manicured gardens. The studio is an ideal base for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, wildlife watching & general coastal living. We have bikes for hire at discounted rates for guests of the studio. We have a surf school at Holywell bay for those that wish to learn, Lee the owner has been head lifeguard for over 25 years. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Tumble Dryer * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. We will provide a welcome pack for our guests, to include a few essentials for your arrival. We only ask that you accept that we can be extremely busy at times due to having a business to run, we in return will respect your privacy & if you do not wish to interact with us that is perfectly fine. We live in a very wild & beautiful part of Cornwall, the area can be both hot & sunny & also wild & stormy, both beautiful in their own way. Holywell bay has been used as a setting for many films & TV dramas including Die another day (James Bond), Summer in February, Poldark & the recent Jamaica inn tv drama, it is characterised by the twin peaks of Gull (or Carter) rocks & has beautiful golden sands. Polly joke ( or Porth joke) is a beautiful little hidden cove. There are several great pubs & restaurants within walking distance if you should wish to eat out or go for a quiet drink. Buses run on a regular basis from the village which is 10 minutes walk away, there is also a local taxi service.
Although we are only 4 miles from the surf capital of the UK, Newquay, we are in a quiet idyllic area surrounded by nature, you are guaranteed a wonderful nights sleep only to be awoken with bird song. We have footpaths starting almost outside our gate, taking you to our local beaches via the local common, a 350 acre National Trust wildlife haven.
  • Great place would highly recommend

    Richard2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Gail and Pete for being great hosts. The studio was exactly as described and a brilliant base to explore the Newquay area of Cornwall with its fantastic beaches. The studio was clean, welcoming and had some lovely touches, we loved their honey from their own bees! The recommendation for The Smuggler’s Rest was spot on, the best fish and chips I can remember eating in years. Thanks for some wonderful Cornwall memories 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place this is! Ideal for a relaxing retreat with lovely amenities and excellent easy walking in a very scenic part of Cornwall. Pete and Gail were perfect hosts. We'd love to visit again one day!

    Harry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice affordable loft close to Newquay and beaches. Fresh eggs and bread left by the host were fantastic.

    David2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit to "The Loft" and we loved it just as much as the first time. We visited for new year this time (29th Dec to the 5th of January) and Pete and Gail went to the effort of decorating the studio with a tree and lights etc. making it even cosier! Pete and Gail are incredibly welcoming and always close by if you need anything but also are happy to leave you to it, giving you your own space. We love the fact that this place is far enough out that it is quiet and homely while also being close enough to Newquay (about a 10 minute drive) and walking distance from the beach. We would recommend this stay to anyone.. and bring your dog's, they'll love it too!

The house is tucked in a little complex overlooking the sea a short walk from Newquay town. The properties around the house are either let out during the summer or lived in all year round. You will find it well kept and quiet. Plenty of space for children to run about and make friends.
  • Lovely place, right by Fistral beach. I feel it is a little more than a 5 minute walk (more like 10) but it was great. Had plenty of amenities, and really felt like home from home. Host was amazing; got in touch immediately after we sent a message and was so lovely to chat to. I would stay here again for sure! x

  • Fabulous little house which is so convenient for beaches and dog walks. Stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. There are lovely little things in the cupboards to supplement anything you need for cooking and a fully equipped kitchen. Have been twice and will be booking again.

  • Perfect location for exploring Newquay from. Lots of beautiful beaches in easy walking distance or a short drive. Could walk into Newquay town in around 15minutes with good places to eat and pubs to explore! Lots of useful local tourist information in the house too, which we had a read of when we first arrived to help us plan. Would definitely stay again!

  • Michelle's cottage provided the perfect bolt hole for myself and my wife with everything considered, characterful and of the best quality. The bed and be linen were second to none and the quality of the kitchen equipment simply made me jealous. Michelle obviously cares about her guests as much as she obviously adores the cottage, with thoughtful touches and splashes of luxury and oodles of style. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep and you do need to use the rope hand rail but we soon got used to it and the extra care needed. The bathroom agin is uber stylish and the highest quality and the outdoor area, even though the weather didn't really lend itself to making full use of it, was charming. Mithian itself is lovely small hamlet with a decent country pub less than a minutes walk and St Agnes, just 2 miles away, is full of Cornish charm with easy access to the South West Coastal Path - just exceptional walking. Overall? And exceptional place to stay and well worthy of the accolades its reviews bestow.

  • My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful few days in Cornwall staying in this beautiful cottage. I couldn't recommend it more - wonderful relaxing break!

    Daniel2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time in a beautiful home and every detail was just so thought out. Really nice touches in terms of decorations and also a great use of such a small space too made our stay really comfortable. We had an awful weekend in terms of weather but the cottage was very cosy and we managed to spark up the fire and chilled out with Netflix on the smart tv which was a nice touch! Bed was super comfy and the robe and slippers again another nice touch! The host made us feel at home and was on hand at all times, making sure we had everything we needed. Garden was so pretty and quaint, would love to go back in summer when we could enjoy it! Will certainly be taking some of the ideas for design features back into my own home, and may even buy some knitting needles after being inspired by the ones in the cottage! Thank you, we had a lovely stay!

    Louise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Cottage. Warm and cosy and so easy to spend time in. Michelle goes the extra mile with the little details. Special section for our pooch with treats and welcome furry toy was a special touch. This is one Airbnb host who goes the extra mile. The village is very picturesque and the local (Miners arms) is what you would imagine a pub should be.

    Tim2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay in this little cottage :) the stairs are very steep just as a warning. Loved all the thoughtful touches!

    Sarah2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best time in this fantastic thatched cottage. The location is great, the property is beautiful and Michelle was all that we could have asked for as a host. If we get the chance, we will definitely be coming back!

  • If you’re looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay, then look no further! Porch Cottage is cosy yet spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. Suitable for young and old, I was blown away by it. Five star hospitality is matched with a great location, and comfortable beds and sofas make for real relaxation. I cannot rate my stay here highly enough.

  • Porth cottage is a beautiful place to stay. We didn’t make the most of the amenities but there’s enough to keep the family busy if you wanted a more restful day. Kids play area, swimming pool and hot tub all on site. The cottage is great and well presented. We are a family of 4 and it accommodated us easily, the rooms are large. There are 2 steps leading to/from the hallway, my 20 month old navigated these easily but it’s something to be aware of if you have a child just learning to walk or if you have a disability. The kitchen is well laid out and the appliances work great, everything is easy to operate. Overall a great place to stay, I would definitely like to visit again!

    Carl2020-02-28T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely time. Hot tub was lush.

  • A good stay. The place was clean and tidy with everything as it should be. Parking was good, it would have been better with a bigger sign as we kept missing the turning on the busy road! Apart from that, well situated - but you cannot really walk anywhere from the cottage as the road has no footpath. Car essential! A pleasant stay - thank you.

  • Beautiful cottage for a family holiday. Emily was quick with replies if we needed anything as well! Not that far of a drive from Newquay and Perranporth. Definitely will be returning to use the pool!

  • Katie’s place is clean and spacious. There are lots of extra touches like blankets and additional heaters for cold days and she put out some cake and fresh flowers for our arrival which was lovely! We enjoyed being walking distance from Holywell Bay and would highly recommend a trip to Healey’s Cider Farm which is a short drive away. Would definitely recommend!

  • It was our second time we have stayed at The Pottery. This time it was with a new host, Katie. She is very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The communication was fast. Katie lives in the house in front of The Pottery so she was on hand if/when we needed her. The location is superb, a quiet hamlet next to costal paths and beautiful beaches, lovely walks. But to not too far to drive to Perranporth or Newquay. There is a shop, a bakery, a pub and a fish & chip shop nearby. When the weather is warm there is the opportunity to buy freshly grown veg and eggs from houses nearby. The Pottery is compact but has everything that is needed to have a relaxing and cosy stay. The kitchen is well equipped. There are books, dvds and board games to play. Two tv's. There isn't any wifi but 4g works no problem and making calls on a mobile is possible with a good reception. The shower room is clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty of space to put clothing and belongings. The out door space is great to sit in the sun. I would highly recommend a stay here. It is good value and in a beautiful part of Cornwall. We really enjoyed our stay x

  • Adore this lovely cottage and its beautiful location with beautiful walks across some of national trust best countryside. Fantastic welcome to a cottage with everything I could want. It could have been a summers day on Holywell Beach. The cottage was snug and warm during the winter chilly evenings. The cottage has been tastefully decorated since my last stay and was spotlessly clean. Can’t wait for my next visit.

    Liz2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely place to stay. Katie and her partner made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of good tips about things to do nearby. It was a gorgeous short walk to Hollywell the most beautiful beach and very close to the village with such a sweet bakery and great pub. The BNB itself was very clean and the had a well equipped kitchen as well as a great BBQ area. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come again!

A detached characterful cottage in a tranquil location but only a short walk from a good pub and village shop. Centrally located in Cornwall, it has lovely country views and is on a footpath leading to Perranporth & its famous beach 2 miles away.
Ramblers' Cottage was updated in 2015 with all new oak furniture and appliances. It has since been freshly re-decorated and has a comfortable, modern but country décor. It has one large double bedroom with a double bed, making it ideal for couples. There is an upstairs shower room with heated towel rail and a sizeable lounge and well equipped kitchen/diner downstairs. There is also a store room attached to the cottage that can be used to store bicycles and surf gear. The cottage retains its rustic origins with beams and posts throughout, carpeted upstairs and with a slate floor in the lounge. All of the windows are double glazed. Entertainment equipment includes a Bluetooth sound system, 32" TV, a Blu-ray player and fibre-optic broadband suitable for video calls and movie downloads. For those who prefer lower-tech entertainment, a selection of books, board games and puzzles are provided. The cottage has it's own fenced patio and garden with far-reaching views over the Cornish countryside. Teak garden furniture, two sunloungers and a Weber BBQ (with firelighters and charcoal) are provided.
The Cottage is wonderfully located in a beautiful rural setting, but easily accessible to all that Cornwall has to offer. It is a few hundred metres from the centre of Goonhavern, which has a good pub, convenience store, café, vegetable and pet shop and a hair salon. The coastal resort of Perranporth, with its wonderful 3 mile long sandy beach, famous for its surf, is only 2 miles away, and if desired can be accessed directly from the cottage via a public footpath. Perranporth has multiple shops, pubs, restaurants, pharmacy and doctors surgery and a lovely traditional family seaside feel. The South West Coastal Path can be accessed from Perranporth giving walkers access to miles of wonderful coastal views, secluded bays and small coastal towns. Horse riding, golf, surfing, and fishing are all available locally and there are many local pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Further afield, the cathedral city of Truro is 10 miles away, the famous Eden Project is 20 miles away and Lands End is 36 miles away. There are hundreds of beaches, fishing villages, coves and tin mines each reflecting the uniqueness of Cornwall. You can even visit the film locations for the recent BBC Poldark series ( the author of which lived in Perranporth).

  • A fantastic place to stay and get around the best beaches Cornwall has to offer . The hosts are so helpful and thoughtful and made sure we had a great time . On arrival we were greeted with a very friendly welcome and were very touched by the gift of eggs and milk , tea and coffee , treats for our dog and a big bowl of fresh water for him too . There were flowers in our bedroom, which was so stylish and clean . We were given suggestions of places to eat and they were all spot on . The walk along the footpath to Perranporth was a good way to stretch our legs and the dog loved it . The views are to die for which can be enjoyed from the garden which gets the sun all afternoon . We fully recommend Deb and Colin’s cottage we don’t think you can beat it . We hope to be back again next summer , if we are lucky to get a booking

Basic, clean, spacious, self-contained, practical single level accommodation just outside a small village with countryside views. Private garden space and off-road parking. Central location with quick access to surfing beaches and the rest of Cornwall.
It is very private with neighbouring farm fields and a woodland over the road. There is only one neighbouring house which means it is quiet.
  • Perfect location if you’re here for a wedding/event at nancarrow, a ten minute drive from lovely sandy beaches too. Unbeatable value for money, would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

A quite superb location close to the bustling cathedral city of Truro, yet also within a 15 minute drive of the spectacular coastline around Porthtowan & St Agnes. Dog friendly.
Situated 4 miles north of Truro, yet only 7 miles from the golden sands of Perranporth, the sleepy hamlet of Tregavethen is an enchanting rural retreat where you can find true peace and quiet, broken only by the sounds of local wildlife and the odd passing tractor. The Linhay was a traditional agricultural building that has been sympathetically refurbished into a quite superb two bedroom holiday home by its very caring owners, who live a short distance away. The accommodation benefits from a sizeable open plan kitchen / living space with dining table and sofas, and French windows opening onto a secluded patio area. There are two large en-suite bedrooms, one of which also has French windows to the garden so is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee. The Linhay is a particularly environmentally friendly place to stay with cutting edge energy saving technology including solar panels, an air source heat pump, LED or energy saving light fittings wherever possible, and a rain water harvesting and recycling system. There is also a cosy wood burning stove to keep things really warm on cooler evenings. One of our luxury, dog friendly holiday cottages in Cornwall. Accommodation Ground Floor Only: The open plan living room is bright and airy with a high ceiling and exposed beams, and incorporates a kitchen, dining area and living area with 2 large sofas. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with an over-bath shower. There is a further twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room and French windows opening onto a secluded garden. Both bedrooms are fitted with attractive, locally made pine furniture. Exterior: The private garden is on two levels, with both grassed and patio areas with unspoilt rural views, external furniture and barbeque facilities. Facilities & Services There is underfloor heating throughout, heated towel rails in both bathrooms and a wood burning stove (with an initial supply of wood provided - extra complimentary logs available on request in winter). The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, kettle, toaster, fridge / freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. In the living area there is a flatscreen digital TV and a DVD player. WiFi is available at the property. There is an iron and ironing board. A highchair and travel cot are provided (please bring bedding for travel cot). Accessibility information: There are no internal steps in the cottage, and small raised thresholds at the front and patio doors. The lower garden and patio are at the same level as the accommodation, and can be accessed from both inside the cottage and from the flat grassed track running beside the cottage. The upper garden has wide, shallow steps (approximately 4 inches high) to it. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen (apart from travel cot bedding) and towels are all included. Guests are to provide their own beach towels. There is off road parking for up to 2 vehicles. Up to 2 well behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog/per week (please bring towels for dogs and do not allow them on furniture). Regrettably no smoking is allowed. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £100 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
For those wishing to sample the enormous strength of the Atlantic Ocean will do well to bring their surf boards to the Atlantic Coast. From Chapel Porth above Porthtowan, passing Perranporth, along to Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay at Newquay, up to Trevose Head and Polzeath past Padstow you will find all the best surfing beaches in the South West, of not only Cornwall but also England. The cliffs surrounding these beaches are nothing short of dramatic. In contrast to the gently rolling shores of the south coast, the north have dark mysterious drops where land has been eaten by the atlantic ocean, hence why the waves are far better here. Inland you will find Wheal Coates Mine, now looked after by the National Trust, part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. St Agnes is part of only 12 sites in Cornwall awarded Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Newquay is not only famous for Fistral Beach, but Newquay Airport connects the county to places such as the Isles of Scilly, Edinburgh and Alicante. The Saints Way Trail is a 30 mile path from Padstow on the Atlantic Coast to Fowey on the South Coast. Padstow is more commonly known as Rick Stein country following the success of his numerous businesses in the town. Lucky really that the National Lobster Hatchery is just a stones throw away. Wadebridge, once a Market Town is now more widely known as being part of The Camel Trail, that takes the cyclist out to Padstow from the depths of Bodmin Moor. Occupying a dramatic valley location with one of the most spectacular and beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Coast, Porthtowan has been drawing visitors for years to take advantage of its natural sun trap. A superb location for a holiday to Cornwall with a fine beach and close to good main roads means that you can easily explore the surrounding area on days that are not conducive to sitting on the beach. Porthtowan has one of Cornwall's finest surfing waves. Producing good waves at all states of the tide, the wave is particularly good in an easterly or south easterly when it really pumps with some lovely hollow barrels. It is not for the faint hearted and beginners should be careful. An excellent surf school operates from the beach. At low tide the beach stretches down to St Agnes Head and Chapel Porth Beach where you will find a lovely National Trust Cafe full of warming hot chocolate and fabulous views. The city of Truro is 4 miles away and has a wide selection of good shopping including a Tescos, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer and many other high street outlets. There is also a cinema and a great selection of restaurants, pubs & cafes. The resort of Newquay is about 12 miles to the north with its spectacular surf beaches at Fistral & Watergate Bay. Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" restaurant is located here. Padstow, with its fine selection of restaurants influenced by Rick Stein is just over 20 miles. Harbourside towns & villages such as Fowey, Falmouth & St Mawes are all within easy reach. For those flying to Cornwall, the airport is within easy reach. The Cathedral City of Truro is in the heart of Cornwall and offers a wealth of facilities for the visitor. Dominated by the stunning cathedral, it is one of the south west's most attractive cities. Lemon Quay plays host to many events throughout the year including the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival in the Autumn and the famous Truro Fatstock Show just before Christmas. Regular farmers markets occur every Wednesdays & Saturday and there are also arts & craft markets on Saturdays. There is a wonderful range of shopping for the visitor including all the regular high street stores, but Truro also has a wide range of more specialist stores. It really is worth a wander through the back streets and alleys to find some fabulous little boutiques. Truro has a superb range of restaurants from Bustopher Jones & Mannings on Lemon Street to the always popular Pizza Express. There are lively bars, pubs & nightclubs including the superb Old Ale House, a busy Wetherspoons and the infamous L2 if you are so inclined! The Hall for Cornwall hosts everything from Shakespeare to rock concerts and the cinema on Lemon Street has all the latest releases.
  • This is a great place to stay, very well equipped, spotlessly clean. We had a warm welcome from our hosts. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. An excellent base for exploring Cornwall, be prepared for narrow lanes!

  • Beautiful well cared for cottage. We stayed with our two dogs. The gardens are enclosed so perfect for us. Quiet location but also close enough to towns and beaches by car. Would definitely recommend.

  • Epic little place to stay

    Aaron2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spot and close to key main routes with excellent facilities

    Diane2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location, very peaceful. The cottage is well-equipped with almost everything you could need during your stay. It was easy to prep our own meals as the kitchen was well equipped and there is even a washing machine and a dryer. Had a wonderful time and would book again.

  • Ground level, cozy, practical cottage. A converted agricultural building, in the middle of the countryside. From the window you can sometimes see horses, cows, sheep. Each of the 2 bedrooms has its own bathroom with toilet, once a bath, once a shower. The living room is comfortably furnished with 2 sofas and TV, dining table with armchairs and spacious, fully and richly equipped kitchen. Free Wi-Fi works throughout the house. In a folder you will find all important information on how everything works in the house. On arrival we were greeted with a fresh bunch of flowers, milk for the first breakfast, Cornish biscuits, even coffee, tea, sugar and salt were there! We were 3 adults, including an old lady, the ground floor cottage was ideal. But there is also a baby high chair and unbreakable crockery for babies. There is a small patio in front of the living room, with barbecue, which we did not use. A few steps lead to the second part of the garden that surrounds the house. Parking is possible in front of the house. As continental Europeans, one soon realizes that many roads in Cornwall are very narrow, including part of the road to Linhay. We liked it very much there!

    Marliese2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • A great retreat in the middle of nowhere! Very peaceful, secluded, dog friendly and well equipped. Fresh flowers on our arrival and a pint of milk in the fridge. The only thing that bothered us upon arrival was the noise of the heating system. After communicating it to the owner, she immediately proposed a great solution and fixed it. The setup in very dog friendly, so is the garden. We’ve seen pheasants every morning walking past our living room. Really cool.

  • Great location with fantastic views over the countryside. Quiet and private. Central to both the south and north of Cornwall.

Our newly refurbished boathouse sleeps 2 in a beautiful corner of our small holding overlooking the lake. There is a short walk across grass (please bring suitable footwear) from your car & many beautiful walks and footpaths on the doorstep. We have seen otters, deer, fish jumping, squirrels and other wildlife from your balcony. There is a comfortable double bed, small kitchenette, toasty shower room, gas central heating & gas fire. Free wifi & warm welcome awaits. Nancarrow Farm is nearby.
We are set down a beautiful half mile lane and, although it feels as though you are miles from anywhere, Truro and Perranporth are only a 10 minute drive away and we are literally 3 minutes off the A30 so great for access. We can therefore offer city shopping and endless beach options within a 10 minute drive. We are a 15 minute walk from Nancarrow Farm so a perfect complement to any function there.
Local village pub serving excellent food half an hour walk or 5 minute drive away. Excellent surfing beaches (Perranporth and Newquay) a 10 minute drive away. Although tranquility awaits, we are just 3 minutes from the A30 and a 15 minute walk from Nancarrow Farm function venue.
  • Katie and her family are welcoming and the grounds are idilic, we even got a couple of visits from the very friendly family dog! The boathouse was much bigger than I expected and has a sizeable balcony area with lovely view of the water and surrounding area. The property was plenty warm thanks to central heating and a gas fire. Running water and shower are also very hot. The stream running alongside was calming and we made use of the firepit which Katie kindly provided the wood for. She also let us stay on an extra night as my flight was cancelled. Many Thanks

  • Great stay, lovely views. Photos don’t do it justice! Would stay again :)

    Aimee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy little getaway- Lovely having a morning cup of tea and watching the moorhens on the pond! Thanks

    Mark2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a hidden gem and the pictures do not do it justice! The space is so cosy and beautiful. Me and my spaniel had the best time in Perranporth beach close by and cosy evenings with Netflix on my laptop and watching the birds on the lake in the morning. The veranda at the front of the boy house has a big reclining chair that you can doze away in or read and having the water just there is so wonderful and with a tiny stream running alongside from the back of the house. I can not recommend this place enough and it feels really private. Katie was so warm, relaxed and welcoming and her sweet friendly dog was a joy to meet also ! I will definitely be back in Spring !

    Michelle2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space and surrounding's. The boathouse has everything you need. It's warm, relaxing and beautiful. 5***** perfect little getaway. Will definitely recommend and be back later in the year

    Nicol2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the Boathouse. We didn’t want to leave after 4 nights. Clean, cosy place with a fantastic view. At night you here all kinds of sounds directly from nature. What a delight! Would love to come back.

  • Lovely little room with views onto the lake. It’s next to the main house but feels cosy and private. We were greeted and shown to the room and comms were great. Great location for local walks.

    Christoph2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little lodge by an idyllic lake with loads of wildlife to spot. A comfortable clean space, only 10 minutes from the centre of Truro. We felt a million miles from anywhere which was wonderful, but it’s so easy to get to main roads. Katie was a wonderful host and gave helpful tips on places to visit. Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely come back and recommend to others!

2 Private rooms 2 double beds Private bathroom with roll top bath and large separate shower. Private lounge.
We have 2 lovely double rooms in our quiet but friendly house. The first room has patio doors that open straight out to the garden. The second double room is available for bookings of 3 or 4 guests or if you require 2 rooms. PLEASE NOTE... If you are a party of 2 and you require both rooms, then you will need to make your booking for 3 people. If you make a booking for just one-bedroom then rest assured we do not rent the 2nd bedroom to anyone else. We only use the 2nd room for a larger family or friends. So you will never have to share the house/bathroom with strangers. Both rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and TV. As the bathroom is not en-suite, we provide robes should you require them. The garden is large, quiet and relaxing and is guarded over by a magnificent monkey-puzzle tree. We are ideally situated to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. We are just 2 miles off the main A30. 6 mins from Perranporth, 13 mins from Newquay & 15 mins from Truro.
We’re situated in the village of Goonhavern just 2 miles off the main A30. Goonhavern itself has a recently refurbished pub/restaurant, which is within easy walking distance (3-5mins). We also have a really good convenience/grocer shop in the village which also sells hot/cold snacks/coffee. There is a garden centre within walking distance and you'll also find here the 'Bay Tree' Cafe open 9-5pm Mon-Sat and 10-4.30pm Sun. Our house is a 6 minute drive from Perranporth with it’s enormous beach, golf course, shops, places to eat and drink and the famous Watering Hole bar. The Watering Hole is literally right on the beach. In fact it’s the only place of it’s kind in the whole of the UK. It's a fabulous location to enjoy your morning coffee, or in the evening to watch the sun go down, with a glass of wine or a pint of Rattler (Our local cider)!! Perranporth is a famous surf location and if you fancy giving it a go, then you can hire everything you need locally, surf boards, wet suits, gloves, shoes you can even organise some lessons to get you started. If you need beach towels, these can also be provided, just ask. Newquay is only 13 minutes away with everything it has to offer and Truro Cornwall’s one and only city, is about 15 minutes away (by car). It's a great place for shopping and eating, has a cinema and several music venues. It's also home to 'The Hall for Cornwall Theatre' which provides an eclectic mix of entertainment all year round. (The Hall for Cornwall is currently closed due to extensive renovations).
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Verenna and Phil and were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was excellent and the accommodation spotlessly clean. Lovely quite location. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

    Kathryn2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hospitality, at a difficult time for our family, Phil and Verenna have been fantastic hosts.

    Steve2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • With a family such as ours we're mindful of catering for each other and our children. Airbnb isn't just about us though as it is about our hosts too. Phil and Verenna do have pre-requisites, being very busy people, and we aimed to live up to them. None of which were difficult to follow and in fact helped them facilitate our stay all the more. We were provided with very comfortable beds which have shown we need to change our home ones!! Security of our property and the boys was never in doubt. We had our own TV room, and TVs in our own rooms which gave us space from each other, the boys benefiting the most. And breakfast included everything including gluten and dairy free options which was important as we'd had a sudden change in our dietary needs the week before so we were able to experiment. Not to mention fresh fruit berries. The house was immaculately clean and the joke of husband drops washing here and it reappears folded miraculously in the wardrobe wasn't quite a fact but it was the closest anyone will get to being fully catered for. For example, can't, was not a word, ever used. Both, made every effort to make things happen and they made our holiday a very pleasant memory. It was a great pleasure stopping here in Goonhavern. Thanks very much to Phil and Verenna.

    Richard2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely people to sleep with. The breakfast is delicious! Good location to discover the area such as Truro, Tintagel, Newquay, st. Ives and st. Michaels mountain.

  • Verena and Phil are very nice hosts. Nice and clean rooms and great breakfast. Many thanks.

    Annett2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for family wedding at Nancarrow farm. It was extremely convenient. Verenna and Phil were wonderful hosts, accommodating and friendly without being obtrusive. Enjoyed relaxing in the garden and the DIY breakfast. I have said it 'slightly' exceeded expectations only because I had read other reviews and my expectations were already very high.

  • Wonderful place, wonderful location. Ever bit as clean and nice as the pictures! Parking in front is very convenient. Just make sure you rent a small car because space is tight. The only negative would be that the place doesn’t come with essentials like paper towels, limited toilet paper, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, etc. it is probably one of the best equipped kitchens we have been too! Perfect location and place!

    Mike2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment at Fistral is fantastic. It has a second floor Juliette balcony from the main living space that looks out across the whole of the bay; stunning! The apartment has a really generous living, kitchen and dining space with all the amenities one could ask for. Whether you want to chill out and drink wine while cooking for friends, or just slob in front of the good size flatscreen TV, this is a fantastic space. The two bedrooms are generous in size, one with an en-suite shower room and one with access to the main bathroom. Both bathrooms are clean, modern and great. Stunning at any time of year, particularly when autumn tides bash in and out and excellent value for money, Phil’s apartment is superb! As point to note; I am a wheelchair user and this apartment has a lift and generous hallway and door width dimensions, so it is really easy to navigate stress free!

  • We have just had a great holiday staying at this wonderful apartment. The owners have thought of everything. It is equipped with everything you need plus those little extras. Also it was spotless. Tea, coffee and milk waiting after your journey down. It is in an ideal location with the most amazing views and right on the sea front. Fistral beach is a minutes walk away and the main town only 15-20 minutes walk, where there is access to other beaches. In the opposite direction you can walk to Pentire point which is worth seeing. We only used the car to buy groceries, Morrison’s & Salisbury,s are minutes away in the car. There are plenty of eating places to walk to. Whether you want a relaxing holiday, just admiring the views or a walking/exploring holiday, this apartment is the ideal choice. We (myself, and 17 year old son) have had a great holiday and would highly recommend this apartment. I Couldn’t fault this apartment, view is to die for, could look at it all day! Bathrooms in particular were immaculate. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a fabulous holiday in Cornwall! Can’t wait to go back and I wouldn’t hesitate staying at this property again.

  • This little gem is one of the best AirBnb's we have ever stayed in. The view is breathtaking, the location brilliant. The apartment is beautifully appointed and everything has been thought of and catered for. There was drinking ice in the freezer and L'Occitane soaps and lotions at every sink. Not one but two hair dryers, the list goes on.

The Garden Room is a lovely, simple, rustic one room wooden cabin in a meadow garden with country views. A super kingsize double bed with wardrobe, chest of drawers, table and 2 chairs, also a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Cooking is a single gas ring or BBQ outside the cabin under a gazebo. The private toilet and hot shower are in a separate hut adjoining the cabin, hand basin is drinking and cold water only. Fresh mains water is also accessible from the wash room. Free WiFi. Smart TV
The Garden Room is detached and is situated behind Bramble Cottage and has countryside and meadow views. It has a lovely rustic feel and simply decorated. The garden and meadow are natural with wild flowers and grasses, there is an abundance of wildlife. There are two small paddocks with two ponies which are directly opposite the cabin and there are chickens, a cockerel and ducks in a fenced pond area. The Garden Room at Bramble Cottage is in a pretty village Hamlet called Rose and is close to Perranporth and its 3 mile golden sandy beach. Perranporth is a few minute drive or a 20 to 30 minute walk which has a footpath alongside the main road. We are 5 minutes walk from the bus stops which run a regular and reliable service to any local destination. There are many places of local places of interest to visit and wonderful coastal and countryside walks. Rose Hamlet is almost in the middle of Cornwall, so most places throughout the county are easily accessible, the furthest point being no more than a 45 minute drive away.
The Garden Room is in a Hamlet. The nearest shop is in Goonhavern approx one mile away where there is also a pub, The New Inn which serves very good food. The surrounding areas are rural and very pretty and there are many beaches and coves to explore in our Poldark country. The West Coast has dramatic coastal views. Cornwall has a huge amount to offer for everyone of all ages and abilities and is a beautiful place to visit.
  • We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this destination to others. Exactly as promised according to the description so exactly what we were looking for. A perfect weekend stay.

  • A fantastic four night stay. Facilities were perfect for a glorious, sunny bank holiday weekend in August. The location is ideal and very relaxing. Rose and Peter were brilliant hosts, who couldn’t do enough for you. .

  • Rose’s Garden Room was a little treasure and Rose was an amazing host. There was everything you need in the Garden Room and the location was very peaceful, ideal for exploring other parts of Cornwall and only a very short car journey to Perranporth. Seasoned walkers could walk to the beach on readily accessible footpaths. Rose was a lovely host and was on hand for advice or just a friendly chat.

    Karen2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We would recommend this lovely cabin to anyone wanting a cosy and affordable stay in an amazing part of Cornwall. Rose is a wonderful host who is always willing to help you make the most of your stay, couldn't thank her more and would be looking to stay again in the future.

    Martyn2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay in this cozy little place. There was everything needed in the cottage (including an umbrella and a torch) and it is decorated in a very loving way. It is really peaceful and quiet and Rose is an outstanding host. She was very welcoming and kind. Thank you again! The surrounding area is great for hiking and there´s a beutiful beach for swimming in Perranporth. I´m really glad I spend a week in this lovely place.

I appreciated the small touches, like the nightlight and the scones and clotted cream waiting on arrival. Emma and Tim are very helpful and responsive. • Great little place. Perfect for the 3 of us. Clean, homely, comfortable. Everything we needed. A home from home. Even toys for my 5yr old to play with! The kitchen was so well equipped with the addition of kids crockery and cutlery. The only thing we couldn’t find were egg cups! Great location too, we were about 40-70 mins from wherever we wanted to visit. Obviously much closer places nearby. Thanks for a great first holiday experience in Cornwall, we will definitely be back. My little boy cried leaving his favourite holiday home!

  • Very convenient as it is on the street corner of Perranporth Town centre. It is on a busy road out of the town but the double glazing means the traffic is barely noticeable. The bed is a combo of bed and sofa that is already pulled out when you arrive. I left it made up as a bed and it was comfortable to lay on and watch Sky TV which was a real Bonus! This is a great base for Newquay, St. Austell and the A30.

  • Cannot rate this accomadation highly enough. First time we have used any airbnb so we were a bit apprehensive. Needn't of worried the accomadation and location were perfect. Spotlessly clean, cosy with a modern decor and lots of personal touches to make you feel at home. A very short walk to the stunning beach and restaurants and shops. A perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend.

  • Jo and David's place was fantastic to stay for a couple of days! The location is fantastic right next to a supermarket car park or just 5 mins down the road. The high street is literally just round the corner so it is a fantastic place to stay for those who want to be centrally located in Perranporth. With an on-suite bathroom, big double bed and little kitchenette; the place is perfectly equipped and would definitely return to stay if I drop by Perranporth again! Thank you Jo & David!

Linden Lea is pretty, self contained cottage style annex attached to my lovely home in a quiet Hamlet with country views. It has a private entrance from a shared path. The double bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, TV and a no step ensuite shower room and toilet. The living space is large and airy with a sofa bed, TV and a well equipped kitchen and dining area. The small double sofa bed can sleep two children or one adult. A travel cot and high chair are available. Free parking and WiFi
Linden Lea is well equipped and is ideal for self catering. It is homely and comfortable. There are age appropriate toys for toddlers and also child friendly crockery. The Hamlet of Rose is a very friendly village and the area is charming and peaceful and is just over one mile from Perranporth with its superb beach and wonderful countryside. There are lovely country or coastal walks. There is good public transport links to all places in Cornwall and many places of interest and adventure to visit. The location is central in Cornwall and the Eden Project, like many large attractions, are approximately only 30 minutes drive away.
Rose is a small friendly hamlet, the local shop is in Goonhavern about a mile away where there is also a pub which offers very good food. The Garden Centre also has a excellent cafe which is open 9am til 4pm every day. Perranporth is just over a mile and a 5 minute drive and offers many local tourist and gift shops. The beach is famous for its three miles of soft golden sand and coastal walks. There is a Boots chemist, two Co-ops, a doctors surgery and dentist.
  • What a wonderful place to stay, small & cosy, met with a gorgeous little flat lit with fairy lights, enough blankets and bean bags to snuggle up or build a fort, surprised with a bottle of Prosecco & chocolates and Rose is lovely, met with a smile, fresh eggs and a delight to talk to. Can not recommend this little bubble of bliss enough. We ended up staying in instead of the obligatory ‘we must go out for dinner in velntines day’ because we were so cosy and felt at home. Thanks Rose, you made our valentines night very special. We look forward to seeing you again

  • We had a lovely time with our little break away in Perranporth and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.. Rose was a very welcoming host and made our time away very enjoyable.

  • Me and wife and two young girls enjoyed our week at Rose's place. After a day at the noisy beach it was lovely to be somewhere nice and peaceful and quiet. My children enjoyed the pony's which they have there and there new puppy. Just a few minds from Perranporth which was great too.

    Michael2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and 1 year old stayed at Rose's lovely annex as our major holiday for this year. On arrival Rose was a welcoming host and gave lots of pointers for the surrounding area. She also had tried to baby proof the house (our little one is very much into crawling at the speed of light at present). She had also changed the batteries in all the toys much to my sons delight! The room was a nice size even with a cot inside, the shower/wet room was clean and sufficient for our needs on our stay. The kitchen diner was a good size and perfect for cooking breakfasts/dinner whilst letting our smallest play on the carpet. Rose has made it feel very cosy and we felt very relaxed at the accomodation. The car parking was also quite a good size. I'd recommend reversing up the drive if you can. Rose also gave good directions and good advice. My family and I would 100% stay again given the chance. A lovely treat in the heart of cornwall.

    Sean2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect for our needs - we felt at home straight away. It was spotlessly clean and only 5 mins drive from Perranporth beach. Rose was there to welcome us and was very friendly.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Linden Lea. Wish we could have stayed longer! Linden Lea has a beautiful country farm setting, cozy and nicely decorated, but still very close to Cornwall's spectacular beaches. Rose was very prompt in providing us directions to the property, and she and Peter greeted us warmly when we arrived. The fresh eggs in the morning were a treat!

  • Such a cozy little cottage with all the comforts of home. The heating is very efficient and we were toasty there during the cold weather. The kids play area is great and we loved the hot tub. Emily is very responsive and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and to answer any queries you have. We're hoping to stay again soon!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Fistral Cottage. It was a spacious 2 bed, with plenty of room for everyone. We arrived to milk in the fridge and the heating on which made a very warm welcome. We met Andy on site, who was very helpful. We would definitely book again, perfect location and great facilities

  • Very clean and cosy cottage with warm pool and hot tub. Ideal garden and field for the dogs and even 2 teenagers enjoyed their stay. The on site manager Andy was available every morning and the 1 small problem we had was sorted within 10 mins of a phone call. Beautiful beach within a short drive . Couldn't have asked for a better holiday and hopefully we will return next year

  • Great yurt on an immaculate site with just 4 others and shared shower and toilet facilities. The children - aged 1 & 3 - loved the safe space to run around and games at hand. Fabulous beaches were within a short drive. Check-in etc couldn't be easier. Would definitely return
