  • Great location and a really lovely place. Tip: take your time coming down the stairs.

  • Lovely little flat right off the main area of Whitby. If you have more luggage than an overnight bag the staircase into the flat and the staircase to the bedrooms are quite difficult to maneuver. The lack of close by parking and the dropping off and picking up on a very narrow street is quite tedious. The flat is very nicely supplied and furnished. We enjoyed our stay.

We have 2 young children and they loved being so close to the beach. Dave and Katie were really helpful and prompt at responding to questions. We will be booking this cottage again!

  • This place is on ideal location to explore Whitby. The town is practically outside your door. The 199 steps just a minutes from the door. The bedrooms and bathroom were excellent. We park on paid parking space nearby after offloading our bags.

  • Absolutely beautiful holiday home in a perfect location in the old town side of Whitby. We booked for a full week however a few weeks before our booking Dave contacted us to let us know the final night had been double booked. Hosts were extremely apologetic and offered to refund the whole week or just the one night with some goodwill on top. We took the offer to just refund the one night as it wasn’t really a problem for us and when refunded Dave and Katie had refunded us the night and also a lovely goodwill gesture which allowed us to have a lovely meal out as a family. We arrived at midday and spent the afternoon in Whitby before checking in at 3, the house was beautifully clean, fridge included. The house is located a stones throw away from the bottom of the 199 steps and we found it easy to get to. My father in law did struggle with the hills however that’s to be expected in Whitby. Parking in Whitby in general was difficult however we bought a permit from Scarborough council which allowed us to park in any Scarborough council car park for the duration of our stay, this meant we could return and leave as much as we liked and also park in any car park in Scarborough (as long as it was a council one). The easiest car park which always had spaces was at the Abbey, the other car parks were always full no matter what time we tried to find a space however we quite enjoyed our walks up the steps to get the car. We have two 4 year olds who loved the variety of toys that were provided and enjoyed the books that were different to the ones we have at home. The stairs are very steep so for very young children I’d recommend asking for a stair gate which we were offered however I thought with the kids being we’d be okay but I’d definitely get one next time. Another thing we found extremely useful is the washer dryer! A simple yet amazing addition which meant no washing when I got home! Overall the house was brilliant, Dave and Katie very easy to get hold of and will definitely be looking to book again for next year!

  • Stylishly decorated little cottage in a narrow cobbled street tucked under the cliffs, close to beach and harbour. Loved the kippers that were smoked just up the road. Didn't need to use the car during our stay, lovely!

  • Great location, right in the heart of Whitby. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and thought the place offered good value. Clear communication from the host and check-in was very easy.

  • Great place to stay in the Olde Worlde part of Whitby. Perfect location just off the beautiful Church Street with its cobbles and quaint shops and pubs.

    Chris2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • A brilliant little cottage in a a great location. Literally on the Abbey steps, this is about 10 mins walk past all the harbour to the main beach but 2 mins from a smaller beach area great for crabbing. The correspondence from the host and local tips are brilliant too. Have stayed twice now and would definitely stay again!

    Jessica2019-09-04T00:00:00Z

  • The cottage is antique with many modern updates (kitchen, bathroom with delightful shower, wood stove) and very near to the most interesting sites, pubs, and harbor view. We were able to walk everywhere on cobblestone streets to explore the abbey ruins, enjoy pints, photograph and shop. The cottage itself is so charming, quiet and private. Look forward to future visits!

  • Truly wonderful. The house itself is lovely, well kept and very clean. All of our family commented that their individual rooms were great and to have everyone in a double bed meant little quarrels were had. Very close to the town centre, just a few mins down the hill to the station. Parking outside always available. Tracy is a fantastic host, always replied to our questions. Was kind enough to let us check in a little early and even found a missing item for us that was left behind. Having stayed in Whitby many times, we will always book this house in future should it be available. Many thanks.

  • A roomy terraced house in the Centre of Whitby. Once we arrived we had no need to use our cars again as town was only a short walk away. The house is clean and tidy and benefits from a ground floor shower room. Good place to stay to get out and about in Whitby. The steam trains and bus station are only about a hundred yards away.

Beautiful, S/C apartment annexed to main house with private entrance. Adjacent to Pannett Park & 2 minutes from shops, pubs, restaurants, bus/train stations and 5 minutes walk to the beach, yet in a very peaceful location. Consisting of en-suite bedroom, lovely glass-roofed breakfast room (we provide local bread, tea, coffee, milk, juice, toaster -though NO COOKER). The bedroom leads onto a superb patio area within our tranquil Georgian garden......Perfect for a relaxing drink after a busy day!
An additional bedroom with a double & a single bed may be available on request.
We are situated in the centre of town, on the West Cliff at the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac, adjacent to the beautiful Pannett Park with it's children's play area and town museum. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within 2 minutes walk. The beach is also a mere 5 minutes walk away. The close proximity of all local amenities allows you to abandon you car in the private garage and enjoy a completely stress free vacation! Please note - Should you rather park on the road rather than in the garage, we can arrange that at a fee of £5 per day, payable in cash on arrival....but of course the garage is safer AND free!
  • This Garden Apartment is amazing. So relaxing, sunny and cosy. Marie Louise's information prior to arrival was really useful and made finding it so much easier. The photos look great but the reality is even better. We didn't sit outside but I hope to return in the summer to make the most of the wonderful setting. The apartment is very comfortable and we spent longer in it having coffee and reading that we thought. A very relaxing, beautifully designed space. We were pleasantly surprised to find biscuits, bread jam, butter and fruit juice in the kitchen. We went out for breakfast but it was a very welcome thought. I come to Whitby a couple of times a year, usually with friends so we need a larger space but it has made me think about coming just as a couple more now, so we can stay here!

    Pam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning, cosy apartment that was perfect for us. Very comfortable, quiet, and well situated for wandering around Whitby. And Marie-Louise had kindly stocked up with a few provisions for our arrival, which made us feel at home right away. Just wish the weather had been warm enough to fully enjoy the garden a bit more!

    Chris2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous place and with its own private garage (which is a rarity in Whitby). Everything you want and more for a relaxing couple of nights away. Great location, too. We will definitely be returning later in the year.

  • What a wonderful apartment, would definitely recommend, so close to the beach and shops, the garage is a bonus, shame it wasnt warm enough to sit in the garden will come back in the summer for that. We had a lovely stay and couldn't fault it

    Suzanne2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable apartment with lots of nice extra touches such as the food and drink left for us. Easy check in and added bonus of the private garage. The apartment is so centrally located we didn't need to take the car out all weekend. We would definitely visit again.

The cottage is really thoughtfully decorated and equipped, well suited for the dogs and very cozy and comfy. Glenhowen (the Old Chapel is the area! ), a unique cottage in a magical place, was built in the mid 18th century, a vibrant period when the Bay was a busy smuggling community. Full of character and tucked away in a quiet street, Glenhowen is minutes from the beach and the facilities of the village: cafes, restaurants and shops. Cosy enough for a couple yet with beds for a small family or group, Glenhowen, is a space to make your own. And we are dog friendly too (£10 charge per dog).
A Grade 2 listed building, Glenhowen was brought tastefully into modern times, without losing its original features and charm by the artist Lynne Wixon (see www.wixon.co.uk), and her paintings, including several originals, adorn the walls. We bought the cottage from Lynne in 2017. We loved the coastal feel of the décor and her use of space and colour and have recently redecorated earlier this year in a similar style. I am a yoga and cooking teacher (see www.yogandspice.com), Mark is a mountain leader, and we are both keen walkers so Glenhowen provides us, and our two dogs Rosie and Buster, with both a peaceful bolt hole and a base for activities. You have the whole cottage - a true home from home. Glenhowen has a traditional feel but with lots of modern conveniences including a Smart TV. The wi-fi is excellent. The cottage is small and cosy enough for a couple to enjoy, yet with three bedrooms it also offers flexible accommodation for groups of friends or a family with older children wanting their own space. (Please note that, while we welcome children the stairs are steep so young people need to be supervised) Amenities: Cookware Kitchen Utensils, 2 x double beds, single bed, Smart TV, DVD player, second TV for DVDs in bedroom, gas oven, fridge, small freezer, washing machine, 2 x hairdryers, sofa, chair, dining table and chairs, separate entry, bathroom with shower and bath, Beds made, towels, ironing board, toilet paper, soap, small welcome pack of tea coffee milk butter bread and spreads.
Robin's Hoods Bay is magical and steeped in history. Glenhowen is right in the heart of the village near to a variety of pubs, tearooms and restaurants, but in a quiet pedestrian street.
  • Lovely accomodation. Very clean with nice personal touches. Well maintained. Bedroom space fine for 5 but small living/kitchen area for 5. Fine for 4 people and small dog.

  • Such a charming cottage in an ideal location at the bottom of Robin Hood’s Bay. I wanted to quit my job and move into that cottage forever.

    Melissa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place to stay, I want to book again! My children didn’t want to leave. Great host, cosy house with everything you could need. Brilliant!

  • Lorraine was really quick to respond to messages, the house is in a great spot and was really cosy.

    Laura2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a warm welcome from Lorraine online, followed by a lovely welcome pack at the cottage when you arrive. The cottage is beautiful, well designed, comfortable and immaculate throughout. It is a stone's throw from the beach which was great for my doggies, and you pass a pub to get there which was great for me!. There's a cosy wood burner, a smart tv with netflix, books, maps and amazingly comfortable beds. There's also a bath as well as shower to ease the aching muscles after walking up the hill out of the village!

    Ellen2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at the cottage. The extra touches were lovely and welcomed. Very fast communication and the cottage is beautiful. We stayed for three nights and were sad to leave. The property is tastefully decorated, the beds comfy and the log burner delightful. Location is fantastic and local information was available too.

    Sarah2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Glenhowen cottage was lovely, in an excellent location. Not far from the beach and bars, perfect for dogs. The cottage has everything you need. We would definitely return again.

    Lisa2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic little hideaway just off the sea wall, close enough to everything you could want but still private. We stayed over Christmas week and, even when the sea winds got chilly, the fire box meant we never needed the heating on - its a cosy place to retreat to after a beachside walk. Wander along the beach to Boggle Hole, then climb the cliffs to get back - it works off the mince pies. A great week and we'd love to come back an explore again in summer.

Built in the 1700's, Bramley Cottage in 'Old Bay' (Robin Hood's Bay) an unspoiled family cottage. ** BRING TOWELS unless coming from abroad. Info about parking charges in 'Getting Around' section below this box. DIRECTIONS to Bramley in 'Guest Resources' bottom of Listings page, visible once booked. Formerly the home of painter and illustrator, Albert Wainwright.
Bramley Cottage is a 4-storied cottage with a lovely feel to it. The cottage is located at the bottom of the very steep hill in the old village, and there are stairs in this cottage, so better suited to the more mobile. No dogs. Sorry. Kids are welcome, but there are no stair-gates and cottage has many stairs over the 4-floors. Big deep bath-tub with hand-held shower. There is a multi-fuel stove in the kitchen with 1 bucket of coal + kindling available. More available from village shop. Fireplace in the sitting room above. NOTE: Tea + coffee, (and cafetière), sugar, ketchup + vinegar, s+p, washing up liquid, paper towels are all in the cottage to make your holiday easier, and packing lighter. Linens provided. *** Please bring towels as they are not provided. Groceries NOT provided unless requested due to late arrival. Costs to be reimbursed.
The sound of seagulls and the amazing views out of every window are the best parts of being in Bramley Cottage. The neighborhood is filled pantiled cottages with ginnels (alleyways) between them, waiting to be explored. There are 3 pubs in Old Bay (Laurel, Bay Hotel + Dolphin), 2 at the top of the hill (Victoria Hotel + Grosvenor Hotel) and one more a 10-15 minute walk away (Fylingdales). The majority serve food till 9pm. The Bramblewick has fabulous food, as does Wayfarer (hill-top). Pizza (local), Indian + Thai food (Whitby) can be delivered. Phone numbers listed in House-book. The cottage itself was owned by the family of Albert Wainwright, a local painter + school-mate of Henry Moore. Some of Wainwright's prints can be seen in the cottage.
  • Cosy cottage which was the perfect escape.

    David2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars doesn't seem enough - this cottage is simply amazing. The minute you step inside you are captivated, taken into a dream world of the quintessential cottage just oozing with genuine vintage everything! Yet, it has all mod-cons too - incredible central heating, hot water on tap and a fully equipped kitchen and it does all of this without compromising an ounce of its charm and character. The icing on the cake, the jewel in this awesome crown was the view out of the top bedroom window. A uniquely shaped chair is placed facing the window and as you slip comfortable onto it an amazing view across the rooftops and down to the beach presents itself in all its magnificent splendour, the mesmerising tide ebbing and flowing as the rolling hills make for a mighty impressive background - truly inspirational!

  • Great Oldy worldy cottage , cosy and in a great location in the centre of the Bay. Claudia was a great host and was very quick to respond to any questions, even met up for a quick drink and a chat . Had a great time and will definitely be back soon.

    Simon2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia's place is a little slice of heaven. Less than 2 mins and you're at the beach, pub, or restaurants. But the cottage itself is absolutely wonderful- full to the brim with charm with a log burner in the kitchen, open fire in the living room, comfy sofas, extra blankets, beautiful bed linen, comfy beds, fairy lights, william morris wallpaper, and a sea view from the top bedroom. Everything has been thought of. The only thing I would suggest is bringing some bubble bath as the bath is massive and next time I come I will be relaxing in there with a good book! There is no wonder she gets so much repeat business. Thank you Claudia!

    Robin Hood's Bay, United Kingdom

The Chalet is a cosy little hideaway for 1 or 2 adults, on the edge of Robin Hood's Bay. It has secure, free parking and is near Whitby, the North Yorkshire Moors and surrounding beautiful areas. It is about 15 minutes walk from the beach, with views over the countryside and a glimpse of the beach. Easy walking distance to local pubs and some great restaurants, bistros and cafes. Nearest pub is about 5 minutes away, with live music most Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sorry no pets or children.
The Chalet is well equipped to self-cater with a 4 ring hob, microwave, kettle and toaster (no oven) and a range of pots and pans. It has an iron and ironing board. Plus if you find The Chalet needs something else, then just ask and I'll see if I can fulfil a request, within reason! All bedding, towels and hot drink supplies are provided - tea coffee, decaf coffee, selection of fruit teas, drinking chocolate, small UHT milks, salt, pepper, vinegar. We also provide some basic cereals and porridge. Plus a hairdrier, shower gel, shampoo, soap etc. There is a TV, DVD player, CD/tape player. The Chalet has a selection of DVDs, including some showing the local area. Plus some CDs, old tapes, books, Board games, playing cards and jigsaw if you fancy a night in.... Free wifi. There is plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the views.... with a glimpse of the sea and beach. As The Chalet is at the top of the hill, it enjoys having the evening sunshine for a longer time than lower down nearer the sea. The Grosvenor Hotel, just 5 minutes away, seems to capture even more evening sun! Interested in a longer stay at a special offer? If you are interested in booking more than 3 nights, then please contact me to see if we can organise a special offer. We often have space of 5 nights from Sunday to Friday or 4 nights midweek - or how about a longer weekend? N.B. The Chalet is in a large, open courtyard area. Our house is in the same courtyard, where we also park.
Robin Hood’s Bay is a delightful and unspoilt village on the North Yorkshire coast, just 6 miles south of Whitby, with pantiled cottages tumbling down the hillside towards the North Sea. The narrow winding streets and quaint cobbled pathways conceal many beautiful properties, some of which date back to the early 15th century. It is a perfect year round holiday location, ideal for long weekends, short breaks in all seasons, summer holidays – or to stay at the end of the ‘Coast to Coast’ walk / bike ride. Little has changed in ‘The Bay’ since the last century, with a history involving pirates, smugglers and press gangs. It is first mentioned in 1538 as a “fisher townlet of twenty boats” and fishing was the main livelihood here until the end of the 19th century. At its peak, Robin Hoods Bay's importance as a fishing centre surpassed that of Whitby! Despite the decline of the once thriving fishing industry you may still see local fishermen working on their nets and lobster pots before putting their boats out to sea. The village is one of the most picturesque and charming fishing villages on the North Yorkshire 'Heritage Coast'. Located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is the ideal place for just relaxing and also exploring this beautiful and historic area – a delightful mix of sand, sea, rockpools, coast, cliffs, moors, woodland and pretty villages. There are many things to see and do right in the village – as well as so much in the area. You could park your car (if you bring one) and just walk or cycle… or drive to the stunning North York Moors, visit Whitby or the many other beautiful coastal and inland villages, like Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick, Grosmont, Goathland, Rosedale, Danby, Lealholm and Egton – to name just a few…. There is a regular local bus service (Arriva X93), as well as the beautiful North York Moors Railway, which runs a mix of steam and diesel trains right into Whitby. Scarborough and Whitby are the nearest train stations. Both have a bus service to Robin Hood’s Bay. There is something to do in the area to suit all tastes and ages, including walking, rock pooling, fishing, horse riding, listening to live music, shopping, eating out and visiting ancient monuments like Whitby Abbey. Robin Hood's Bay has lots of great eating and drinking places, from pubs and cafes to bistros and 2 fish and chip shops, plus a range of gift shops. There are 3, licensed local stores selling all you'd need to cook a meal, one just about 8 minutes from The Chalet. If that sounds too busy – it isn’t…. The village has a brilliant website for information on events, things to do, photo gallery, attractions, shopping, eating etc… See www.robin-hoods-bay.co.uk You can also buy the local monthly ‘Bayfair’ magazine for local news and Tide Times www.bayfair.co.uk
  • Just returned from a three night stay in the chalet and already want to go back! Cosy is the definition if the chalet and it is equipped with everything you'd need. Jean is a fantastic host and has made the chalet a wonderful place to stay. We hope to come back and stay again in the future and would definitely recommend staying there if you want to visit Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby!

  • Great place to stay just outside the centre of Robin Hoods bay (5 min walk). The place is really warm, clean and a fun stay for up to two people. We ate at the Fylingdales inn which is about a 10 min walk away which offered good vegetarian and vegan options as well as the usual pub type food. Jean is a great host with superb communications and is very attentive and friendly. When finding the chalet watch carefully for the driveway entrance or you may miss it first time around.

    Nicholas2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at The Chalet. It is in a great location, minutes away from robin hoods bay and all the local walks. Jean the host was more than happy to help with any questions we had. Whenever I messaged her privately before and during our stay she was quick to answer and very helpful. I would highly recommend staying at the chalet.

  • Such a lovely place with perfect access to Robin Hood’s Bay and the surrounding areas. Great amenities with thoughtful touches. A cosy, warm and romantic set up.

    Finlay2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This Chalet is a perfect and cost effective way to stay in luxury and style whilst visiting the wonderful seaside village of Robin Hood's Bay as well as iconic North York Moors. Jean provides a very clean, warm and stylish property, with plenty of useful amenities and thoughtful touches, a mire 10minute walk from the coast, shops and the village centre. There is also secure private parking if you fancy taking day trips to other places. Jean is also a very helpful host and provided me tons of local tips on everything from what to do in the bay, the best shops and pubs to visit and even the perfect spot to see some seals. I will definitely be staying there again on my next adventure to Robin Hood's Bay and the Moors.

  • We had a few very relaxing days in this beautiful cottage. The village is wonderfully authentic and absolutely lovely. In the evenings we especially enjoyed the fireside. The parking spot in front of the house is shared with one other cottage, so sometimes people pass by your window. Apart from that you only have sheep as your neighbours :)

The property is in the most idyllic location and is perfect to get away from it all, whilst only being a 10 minute walk into Robin Hood’s Bay. • Great flat with excellent decor. A lot of thought seems to have gone in to it. Well kitted out kitchen. A pint of milk being provided was also a nice touch! Very close-by to loads of things to do. A minor point was the single glazing (fab sash windows though!) meaning noise from it's central location was a slight issue but apart from that I'd highly recommend.

  • Myself and my partner were overjoyed with this flat. It was stunningly furnished, in an amazing location and Andrew was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The flat was located right in Whitby centre and was a short walk from lovely restaurants, bars, and about a 3/4 minute walk to the beach. The bed was super comfy and the bath was a lovely touch. We recommend this flat very highly, and will definitely be returning!

All the amenities in the apartment were spot on with everything there you would need. Highly recommended - we will be back again soon!

  • This is a lovely, comfortable stylish little cottage. Louise is a great host and couldn’t have done more for us. The cottage is a little way from Robin Hoods Bay, about 10 minutes from the top end, 20 - 25 minutes or so to get right down to the sea and beach, but there’s a short cut over fields right opposite the front door when the weather is fine . There’s also a useful local store and an amazing pub 5 minutes away in Fylingthorpe, the Fylingdales Inn, which is friendly and served truly excellent pub food- we went twice!

    Gary2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage, really great location, only 10 minutes walk if that from the bay! Lovely location, in a peaceful street. Perfect for a short or long stay. We had such a lovely time. • This was a great location to explore Robin Hood’s bay and the surrounding areas. If you have never been before it is a really beautiful place with old world charm and this property is ideally placed due to the ample parking and short stroll down into the village. It is also close to a reliable bus route which takes you into equally lovely Whitby where there is a wide choice of restaurants. The property was beautifully clean and the owner had left some thoughtful touches which were very welcome but unexpected. It is spotlessly clean and freshly decorated - very comfortable. Brilliantly equipped kitchen. Highly recommend

It has three bedrooms, 2 with double beds and the other with a 4 foot bunk on the bottom and a single on the top. BUNK ROOM SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN ONLY. A maximum of 4 adults, 6 people if the bunk room is occupied by 2 children only. Parking Permit provided for 1 car to use either of the two car parks. Further permits available from the post office. 1 well behaved dog.
This beautiful cottage is one of a kind. It was built in 1668 and so is now 350 years old! It stands as the first row of houses back from the cliff at Robin Hood's Bay and is one of the closest properties to the beach. On the top of the cliff is our new cliff top garden. It is one of only two gardens in the entire village which directly overlook the beach. In addition, there is also a smaller patio garden area ideal for BBQs. Most of the fisherman's cottages in Robin Hood's Bay are over three of four floors with only a room on each whereas Primrose is built so that the sitting room and kitchen and downstairs and the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs (on the first floor), as most people would find at home, this makes it far more practical. Please read House Rules before booking.
Robin Hood's Bay is a beautiful ancient fishing village dating back to medieval times. Located within the North York Moors National Park, the vast majoirty of houses are listed and the village has been protected from modern development thus preserving it's natural history. It has a beautiful long golden sandy beach and when the tide is out there are many large rocks pools left which create the perfect environment for crabbing! It is a great place to sun bath, walk your dogs, fly your kite and even play a game of beach cricket! There are a handful of shops as well as restaurants and pubs in the Bay. Please read House Rules before booking. Thank you.

A great village for pubs and exploring. The beach is one of the best beaches for kids, walking and seal watching
  • Burton House is a great place to stay. The location is very convenient for unloading (just park at the top of King St and then reverse down) and for exploring the area. The kitchen is well stocked (like being at home!) and the lounge is cosy. We'll be back!!

  • We had a wonderful time in the quirky cottage. It was very clean and well presented with lots of character. We loved the little hamper and the kids loved the ‘secret toy room’. Great location and stunning views.

  • This is a lovely place to stay in the heart of Robin Hoods bay. The host Clive responded quickly to our messages and the cottage had all of the modern amenities that we expected. We will definitely return, hopefully sometime soon. Ian & Judith

  • Loved our stay at Burton House. Lovely touches and very well equipped and clean house. Would definitely recommend Burton House to future visitors. Lots to do if there’s a rainy day, very thoughtfully filled with books, toys and games! Thanks Clive for a fabulous stay!

    Natacha2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • House was exactly as described, full of character and in a great location. My son loved sitting on the stairs watching the sea out of the window. We thought that the welcome pack was a nice little touch and we made full use of all the many beach things like buckets and spades. There were also some boogie boards but my children were a bit too young for those. The kitchen was also well equipped and had we known there was a bread maker we would have taken ingredients with us. Clive responded to the booking and subsequent messages almost immediately and was helpful in advising where we could eat locally. Unloading/ loading our car took a bit of planning, we knew there was no parking when we made the booking so that wasn’t an issue. The house is at the top of a steep road which is the width of only one car, on arrival it was raining so I drove up to the house and very slowly reversed down. When we departed I left my car at the bottom near the lifeboat centre and did a couple of trips with the bags on foot. We had a great time and would definitely book again!

  • Burton House is a truly unique property a stone's throw from the beach. Full of character and set over 4 levels, the house offers lots of space for a family of 4. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities and is a great eating space to socialize together. The living room has 2 good size sofas and a good size tv, WiFi signal and a secret room to discover. The stairs to the toilet and 1st bedroom have lots of character and the "loo with a view" is fantastic. Bunk beds and a single bed are available and the main bedroom is up another flight of stairs to the loft space. Really lovely place and worth a visit. Robin Hoods Bay is located at the bottom of a rather steep hill which may put off some people, but for most it's a great base.

  • Had a fabulous time at Burton House. Stayed with my Dad, Step-Mum and my two kids aged 1 & 4. The house is so quirky and fabulous, lots of things to look at and wonderfully stocked with all the items you’d need...and more! We received a welcome hamper on arrival which was a lovely touch. The milk certainly came in handy for a nice cup of tea after a drizzly morning and the biscuits came in handy for a 10pm snack attack! The children’s toys and dvds were a welcome addition. I’d definitely stay here again as it was great value for money, fabulously quirky, had good access for unloading/loading and was in a great position within Robin Hoods Bay. Loved it!

Following the open staircase to upstairs their is a king size bed and a built in wardrobe. For anyone who loves a breakfast that sets you up for the day, look no further than the butchers next door, they offer hot sandwiches at a very reasonable price.
  • Christina was amazing and very communicative and very prompt. The Old Post Office was immaculate and super stylish. We felt at home and relaxed. Plenty to keep active here, our option was to have R & R. Christina went above and beyond than expected. A great find for us and we will return again. A bonus is the butchers shop next door. Such a friendly village.

With a commanding view over the historic cottages of Robin Hoods Bay, our cottage is perfectly situated in the lower village, yet offers a degree of privacy from its hillside location. • Great house in Robin Hood's Bay. Fantastic location close to the sea and we saw some amazing sunrises across the sea just by stepping out of the front door. Nice big house for a family get together too. I've been to Robin Hood's Bay many times before but never stayed down at the bottom of the village and it was a real treat.

The check in details was seamless and the car park space was a massive bonus. All communication with the hosts was quick and very informative. 5 min walk to the beach. We will definitely book again! Great to have games for the kids to play. Very well stocked with plates, etc.

  • Andy and Sue's place was perfect for a few days away in Robin Hood's Bay. Literally only a few steps from the lower town and all of the amenities we couldn't have asked for a better location and having an allocated parking spot was perfect as parking in the upper town necessitates a long walk up and down all with luggage. We were very happy to avoid that. The photos give a very accurate representation of the space and everything is as described. Check in was simple and flawless. We will definitely use this Andy and Sue's place next time we visit.

My house is a 1950’s semi on the outskirts of Whitby in a quiet cul-de-sac, with parking on the street. Half a mile from the cliff tops and Cleveland way. 15 minutes walk down hill in to Town (so uphill on the way back!!). I offer a simple help yourself breakfast of cereal, toast and hot drinks, which is included in the price. There's a chinese take away (5 mins walk) and the 'White House' with good pub grub (10 mins walk) I am close to a Lidl, and a Spar store with cash point and fuel.
I moved to Whitby in 2014 and I am gradually updating the house. The house has a good feel to it, quiet and relaxed. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home in the living room and the lounge where there’s a small TV. I also have free Wi Fi. I like to take care of the environment so don't use agressive cleaning materials, and I try and recycle as much as possible and avoid packaging if possible. I am an artist so you will see some of my work dotted around and. I have a studio in my garden you will be welcome to see more of my work. In the summer on warm days there is a pretty garden to sit in but I also have a good drying rack for wet walkers clothing!
I live in a quiet friendly neighbourhood. Its a short walk to get to the sea, or not far to the old railway line for interesting walks or cycling. There are many events in and around Whitby - historic and musical together with the 'pirate festival' or the famous 'goth week end' to name but a few.
  • Hillary's place is great. It felt like a home away from home, so warm and inviting. A 15 - 20 minute walk from Whitby -- you really can't go wrong. A sparkling clean twin room with really comfortable beds and plenty of storage, and you can come and go as you please. Hillary as well as being a very interesting person, is a very talented artist with plenty of amazing work on display. It was a perfect introduction to Airbnb for us. Thanks Hilary!

A 17th century cottage, updated without loosing its quaint character, set in the peaceful village of Fylingthorpe, a few minutes walk from picturesque Robin Hoods Bay on the North Yorkshire coast. Numerous walks, cycle paths and beaches, but peaceful. please note I accept bookings of a week only during June until September.
Due to its age the cottage has curved, steep staircases making it unsuitable for children under 6 or the infirm. It also has low ceilings on the top floors, and an "interesting" slope on the middle floor, it all adds to the charm of a 17th century cottage! The back door leads onto Thorpe Green, a lovely place to sit in warm weather, chairs can be found in the understairs cupboard. However this is a communal area so if you take your dog out here please keep them on a lead and clean up after them. Thank you.
The village is a short walk from Robin Hoods Bay, 5 miles from Whitby, close to the North York Moors, good for walking, cycling, horse riding, Steam trains and Goths! Folk music can always be found, good pubs, restaurants and theaters. Or you can just chill out on the beach!
  • Fantastic location, perfect for stroll into Robin Hood’s Bay or drive to other fantastic local places. Cosy cottage, small enclosed garden to the front ideal for dog owners.

  • Characterful cottage within walking distance of Robin Hood’s Bay. Impossible not to relax in this place!

  • Jane's cottage was great to stay at. Communication was quick and check-in was very easy. Everything was as described and seen in the photos. The tea, coffee, milk and cake provided were much appreciated and helped us to feel very welcome.

  • You couldn't ask for a more attentive host and the cottage was beautiful. Had a tiny hitch with the heating but Jane had that fixed with help from her hubby in a couple hours. Great location for getting around the area, and serious brownie points via the medium of muffins. Definitely recommend to friends and family.

  • I really enjoyed my stay in Marilyn’s place. It has a perfect location near by the sea. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. She asked if i have an intolerance. And they offer me to pick up from middlesbrough for fair price. Everything was outstanding. Thank you.

    Oğuzhan2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • A friendly couple who made me very welcome. Unexpected upgrade to a double room on arrival was a nice surprise. They'd even gone out to more than 1 supermarket to find the goats milk I required, as I have a mild dairy intolerance and don't like soya milk, which I think is a bit over and above so much appreciated. Good shower. Parking pass to use in town if needed. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

    Johanna2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn and Keith were great hosts and couldn't have done more for me during my short stay in Whitby. I tucked into a hearty breakfast in the lounge/dinner while watching the dog walkers out on the green and the boats out on the ocean. A great view that would be hard to beat anywhere along the coast.

    Peter2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place truly is a home from home. From the second you walk in the door you feel at home, both Marilyn and her husband are so accommodating. To start, the view from their house is incredible, looking straight out to sea. You instantly feel relaxed. The seaside theme runs throughout the house, even the bathroom sink is a shell! I just loved the attention to detail and their hospitality surpasses the majority of airbnbs I've stayed in over the years. Marilyn noted my vegan diet when it came to the breakfast and It didn't phase her one bit! I could have stayed all week! I literally can't think of any way they could improve and that's quite a compliment! P.S What other airbnb gives you complimentary slippers to take home? Also a chocolate on your pillow!? (My Mum will love that once I'm back!) I recommend to anyone looking for some me time! Special place!

    Justyn2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hospitality and attention to detail was the best I’ve experience with AirB&B. Couldn’t recommend highly enough

    Graeme2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn's place is a home from home. Both her and Keith cannot do enough for their guests. Their hospitality and special touches are astounding. This was my second visit and I will definitely be back.

    Patricia2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn and Keith are perfect hosts, who go out of their way to make guests welcome. Their place is a huge me from home. X

    Patricia2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • B&Beside the Seaside is much more than your run-of-the-mill guesthouse. Apart from the warm welcome and thoughtful personal touches. Both Marilyn and Keith extend a warm welcome – the likes which I have not experienced anywhere else in the UK. The comfortable room and bed, generous levels of facilities and a lavish full English breakfast, and in my case – more than adequate packed lunch every day – make this B&B experience amazing value for money. They are interesting, educated couple with a genuine interest in serving people. I will return here for certain.

Located in the town centre and very close to the harbour and abbey, Bumble Bee Studio is warm, comfortable and cosy. There is a kitchenette (with kettle, toaster, grill, microwave, sink and small fridge) and an en suite shower room. I can almost always offer a parking place directly outside the property or close by (the town's big events may be the exception). The studio is a perfect base for singles or couples who wish to explore this beautiful coastline. Limited head height (6' 4'').
Whitby is a unique and immensely popular seaside town, famed for its sea-faring heritage, Whitby jet, Dracula, the Goth movement and, of course, its spectacular coastline. Just 5 miles south is the famed village of Robin Hood's Bay and the austere beauty of the North York Moors is just 3 miles to the west. The town itself is home to some excellent restaurants and cafes. Seafood is, of course, a speciality.
  • Excellent location right in the centre of Whitby - the apartment was cosy, clean and had a great level of privacy. Will certainly be back again!

  • Perfect place in Whitby. This was our second stay at Julie's apartment and we hope to be back again soon. 2 minutes walk to the centre of town, yet really quiet. A super comfy bed with lovely bedding. Kitchen - and a free parking space - what more could you need!

    Lindsay2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely few days at Bumble Bee studio. Sorry we had to cut short our stay due to bad weather. The studio was spotlessly clean warm and comfortable with extra touches such as DVD’s books and games. Parking outside of the property was an added bonus which can be difficult in Whitby. Thank you Julie for a lovely stay. Will certainly stay again and recommend you to friends.

I live in the heart of Whitby Town in a 3 storey Victorian terrace house. The newly refurbished cosy room is on the top floor with a wonderful abbey view. The neighbourhood is really friendly and only a few minutes walk to all amenities, the railway station, marina, harbour, restaurants, shopping, bars etc.
You will get complete privacy accessing your room through the front door and stairs. The bright double room (including continental breakfast) with digital TV and free WIFI is located on a quiet street just minutes walk from the marina, beach, close to shops, bars and restaurants.
  • I would recommend Joanne to anyone she’s a great lady, get personality. Rooms are nice and cosy, showers are amazing and the location is great.

    Scott2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne was a very helpful and communicative host- arranging the check-in was easy, as was collecting the keys when I actually arrived. The room is cosy and has all the amenities you would want; tea and coffee, en-suite bathroom, comfy bed. Only note is that the ceilings are pretty low- so if you're a tall person like me then watch your head! The location is great, less than ten minute walk from Whitby train station and from there you're right in the town centre. Lovely views from the bedroom window!

    Ed2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, loft-space bedroom and en-suite. Joanne was a lovely host, and everything was great! Would definitely recommend.

  • The room was warm, inviting and sparkling clean with the bedding and towels smelling lovely. The shower was so refreshing and invigorating after a full days walking and night of dancing. The breakfast was ideal and enough for what we needed and the coffee/tea making facilities with biscuits were a lovely touch. Would love to stay again when we return to Whitby Great view of the Abbey from the window.

Gilroyd House in Robin Hood's Bay is a stunning and spacious stone built Georgian house in the heart of this spectacular fishing village, just five miles distant from the bustling town of Whitby. The beautifully appointed 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house, which has separate kitchen, dining and sitting rooms, plus an additional well-equipped playroom for children, provides a level of living accommodation which is unusual in the Lower Bay, most houses having only a single kitchen/living/dining space.
Our property offers more space than is usual in the Lower Bay, most properties having only a single living/kitchen/dining space. We are lucky to have separate living, kitchen and dining rooms; plus a fabulous playroom on the top floor - the perfect getaway for the kids!
The Bay itself is bursting with things to do, and the local area won't leave you disappointed either. Once you've finished exploring the myriad of tiny cobbled streets that form this idyllic smuggler's cove, try a walk along the beach to Boggle Hole at low tide, a visit to the Coastguard Station to have a look at their open rock pool tanks (and some nice National Trust Giftware - entry is free). The Ghost walk in the evening is ace, too. Whitby and the Abbey are of course a must, but try travelling in the other direction towards Scarborough, too.
  • The location of this house is outstanding, slap bang in the heart of RHB. Everything else about the cottage is perfect also; plenty of space, sparkling clean, all the kitchen supplies you need, and faultless communication from Jonathan throughout our stay. Don’t often say I’d stay in the same place more than once, but wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

    Alex2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • You won’t find a better place to stay in Robin Hood’s Bay! Gilroyd House is in the very heart of the lower bay, nothing is more than a couple of minutes walk away. The house is not only beautiful but also incredibly comfortable. Having three bathrooms is a real bonus as well. The owners are very fast to respond to messages if you have any questions during your stay but you’ll find the house has everything you need. We visit the bay almost every year and this is the best place we’ve stayed so far, a real gem.

    Sarah2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, right in the heart of a beautiful village, and a minute from the sea.

    Kate2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location in the heart of the lower bay. 2 mins from all amenities - pubs, cafe, restaurant, shops, beach, amazing coastal walks. Great space for a family of four with grandparents.

    Louise2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Emma’s and the house is right down in the bay. As a family group it suits us as we all have our own bedroom and bathroom. There was plenty of space for 5 adults, 1 toddler and 6 week old baby, which is unusual for RHB. Highly recommended.

    Natalie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable time here ,the house is beautiful .it is perfect for three couples having 3 bathrooms which is very rare in the bay. Cute little children's playroom on the top floor with a good supply of dvds , books and games .The host Emma is very helpful ,all communication was answered very quickly. It was a 'significant' birthday celebration for me and Emma had left a card and a bottle of prosecco which was such a thoughtful touch .I would have no hesitation in recommending this property ,I think it would be difficult not to enjoy a stay here!

    Sharon2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this cottage. The position is amazing. Very close to all amenities. We especially enjoyed watching the village waking up every morning and early morning walks along the beach before the crowds begin to flock in. The cottage is lovely. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. Communication is first class. We had some very nice meals at the Bay Hotel and loved the Coffee Shack just a few yards away. Look forward to a return trip.

Robin Hood's Bay, England, United Kingdom

FABULOUS SEA-VIEWS, plenty of space & an open fire if you want to stay in. Great kitchen for home-cooking. Beckstein piano, games, loads of books, 49" 4K streaming TV with Netflix & many DVD's - all to keep you entertained. Small front garden looking out to sea. The space & THE VIEWS!!! are what this is about.
On the cliff-top, 5 minutes' walk down the "old village" to the sea, a minute to the bus-stop to Scarborough/Whitby, a minute from the post-office/shop/newsagent; also minutes from the cliff-path and the Cinder Track cycle/walkway. Not a big hike to get anywhere. Unusually for Bay there's parking in the rear driveway - for two cars. The tall entrance-porch leads through to a grand tiled hallway with an avenue of brass coathooks, shoe-space and a pew to change your footwear. The lounge opens off this, looking across the front garden out to sea through a large bay window. Three sofas, a high ceiling and large coffee-table make this a comfy hang-out (maybe even with the open fire lit & twinkling?) There's a large modern TV with Netflix & streaming apps, blue-ray/DVD/CD player plus a selection of DVD's. The back room is a rich Snug - loads of books, a piano, games - a retreat. Through the rear entrance-hall/cloakroom, the newly-fitted kitchen/diner has a gas range-cooker / belfast sink / microwave / toaster/ dishwasher (inc tablets). An original tiled floor and 3-stage period lighting complete the mood. It is well-stocked with cooking utensils / baking dishes / pans. I also provide olive oil, a few herbs, salt/pepper, tea, coffee, sugar & a pint of milk. Outside, the utility has a washing-machine (inc detergent), sink & is a great place to store wellies/ muddy boots / buckets / fishnets & even bicycles (though it doesn't lock). Unusually, I provide hand & bath towels for each guest - STRICTLY for use within the property only. The three bedrooms at the front of the house have great views across the Bay, while the rear bedroom looks back up the village through trees. One of the front doubles is compact but has a lovely view. The other rooms are very generous. The top bedroom runs the width of the house with a double, single & a sofa. A REAL PAD! Shower & bathroom are both a good size, fitted to period. Plus there's an additional toilet.
Bay is AMAZING!!! The end of the famous Coast-to-coast walk, steeped in fishing & smuggling history, a beautiful wide curving bay, skars (flat rock piers) that stretch out to sea or curve around the coast. The rocks & stones are full of fossils, & you can find the coveted Victorian Jet (hard black fossilised monkey-puzzle tree) that became fashionable through Mourning Jewellery - if you know where to look! At the far end Ravenscar's strange abandoned plan to be the next Scarborough hosts 200+ seals at the foot of its cliffs, & its grand lonely hotel provides an excellent Bay > Beach > Ravenscar > Clifftop > Beach back to Bay pitstop on a lovely circular walk. The cliff path here is part of the Cleveland Way stretching along the NE Coast, & Whitby > Scarborough can be reached alternatively via the disused Old Railway Track - great for easy walking & cyclists. Bay itself has a great family beach. It's huge, so there's always a quiet bit if you want it. The moors are minutes away, Whitby & Scarborough a short busride (1/2-hourly in summer). But more than anything, it's a lovely friendly place to get away totally & leave the grind behind.
  • Sean was a great host-communicating well for our stay. We had a great stay at Sean's place which has amazing views over Robin Hoods Bay and is a really lovely, beautiful home to stay in. As a group of 7 Sean's place felt really spacious with a good kitchen/dining space and living room. Its a good location for exploring Robin Hoods Bay as well as the wider area.

    Emma2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • House is great plenty of room for large parties, everything you need to enjoy your stay. Perfect location for walking down to the bay or grabbing a meal next door. The bus stop to Whitby is only across the road as well!!

    Amanda2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house, stunning location and a top host. The house is located with stunning views out to sea and over the village. It is finished beautifully with chatacter, period details and interesting artwork / photos. It feels like a lived in home but without the clutter. Done perfectly. The host Sean is friendly, helpful and quick with comms. There is a nice welcome with tea, coffee and wine. The kitchen has all the basics you would need with a nice addition of condiments, herbs, oils etc. Really can't fault it and likely to return.

    Mark2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely home, in a stunning location, a generously stocked kitchen, oil/herbs/tea/coffee/milk, bottle of wine! Also sticks and coal so we could have an open fire, which was wonderful. Stunning views from many windows. My children enjoyed Netflix’s and games. Just fabulous, thank you.

    Hayley2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house makes for an absolute gem of a stay. A wonderful home in an absolutely stunning location, with everything you need provided by a thoughtful host with attention to detail including tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets, fire wood etc and welcome milk and wine. The house is beautiful and so comfortable, a real home from home, with stunning views and lots of space for a family to spread out in. The village and shore are just a few minutes walk, both quaint and full of charm. We ate in the Bramblewick fish and grill in the centre and had a wonderful meal. Also the nearest fish and chip shop to the house was really good. You can walk the cinder trail and Cleveland Way from the front door. The cafe, Coast in Hawsker makes a good stop during the 6 mile circular northwards. Also theres a nice route South on the cinder track where you can divert to Boggle Hole for a shorter walk. Thoroughly recommend this Airbnb and hope to return.

  • Alpha Cottage is a fantastic place to stay with close proximity to Robin Hood's bay. Weather was abit hit and miss whilst we stayed but it was so nice just to relax in the cottage and walk down to the local pub. Lots of on street parking. The bedrooms were lovely especially the top floor with fantastic views out over the countryside. We will definitely be back

  • I do like this AirBnB and hope to return again when I next visit Robin Hoods Bay. The location suits me in that it is FylingThorpe about 20 minutes walk away from Robin hoods Bay - so you avoid the difficult parking and the crowds in Robin hoods Bay but its relatively easy to nip in. Fylingthorpe has a popular pub The busy " Fylingdales" (4 minute walk) which does a roaring trade in quality pub meals at good prices and also a corner shop supplying all essentials (2 minutes walk). Theres a bus service (Scarborough to Whitby) the stop is 3 minutes walk from the cottage. (its around every half hour) The cottage is totally self contained with its own external front door. Its attached to the owners house who are quiet and who never trouble you - but its good that they are there should you need them. Its a relatively compact property with an attic extension containing two single beds . The main bedroom with a double comfortable bed is on the first floor - this is a relatively small room but its functional and quiet . Bathroom and kitchen are very functional and theres a separate lounge which is cosy. Central heating is fine and you can override for a boost of hot water. Its not a cold house. Parking is free which is great (Parking in Robin Hoods Bay is very difficult as the expensive public car park gets full quickly and its tricky to manouvre in.) I thought the prices were competitive for this AirBnB. Very clean and no problems. Recommended.

  • Great little cottage, beautiful and peaceful setting and very comfortable.

    G C2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful, self contained cottage! The owners have carefully considered how to make the most of the space available, and clearly thought about what any visitors might require, be it a family or a group. There was lots of really useful information about the local area, and the house itself, which was really nice to read and helped us with ideas for what to do when the beach wasn’t an option. We had ages ranging from 12 years to 14 months and our hosts were able to provide high chair etc for our littlest one, whilst the older ones entertained with all the books and games available All in all, a great location for exploring the Yorkshire coast and moors area, and a perfect little safe haven to return to once you’re all tuckered out. A definite yes from all of us

    Ele2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was more spacious than it looked on the photos. It is lovely and homely, stylishly furnished and sparklingly clean! Fylingthorpe offered more than we expected, despite it being such a tiny village. The 2 local stores have everything you need and are just at the bottom of the street. The wander down into Robin’s Hood Bay is lovely, and takes only 10-15 mins. Robin Hood’s bay itself is beautiful and is the perfect place to spend the day. Whitby and Scarborough are also just a short drive away. A lovely part of the world and Alpha Cottage is the perfect base for exploring it.

Room 1 has a super-king size bed. The room is en-suite with a large shower. The decor is cream and lavender. Facilities: flat screen TV/DVD, tea/coffee making, toiletries, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi. Whitby is 5 miles and local walking is superb.
Room 1 has a super-king size bed, the en-suite has a large shower, wash-hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail. Colour scheme is cream and lavender and there are countryside views. There is a sitting area, flat screen TV/DVD, hospitality tray and hairdryer. A full English breakfast is included and I use locally sourced produce, other options are continental and vegetarian. The village bakery is just a few yards away but often make my own bread. The walled garden has been lovingly developed to attract wildlife, there are interesting combinations of wild/garden plants and a pond. The Fylingdales Inn is just a four minute walk and serves delicious food. Fylingthorpe is a charming village situated in The National Park and is within easy walking distance of Robin Hood's Bay where there are several pubs/restaurants, a few small shops, cafes and The National Trust Old Coastguard Station (next to the beach). This is an ideal base to explore the area on foot, bicycle or by car. Whitby is five miles away. Superb walking along the beach, cliffs (Cleveland Way) and moors. The Coast to Coast walk finishes at Robin Hood's Bay. Bring cycles with you, store them in our secure garage and access the old railway line two minutes away. The cinder track runs between Whitby and Scarborough. There is also cycle hire at the neighbouring village of Hawsker. A regular local bus service runs between Whitby and Scarborough.
Less busy than Robin Hood's Bay which is just a short walk away.

  • Janet and Steve are fantastic hosts and their BnB is exactly as described. The King size bed in room 1 is the biggest bed we've ever slept in and the breakfast is perfect. We're sure the views would be lovely if storm Ciara hadn't hit as well!!

  • Immaculate, superb hospitality, definitely the best Airbnb we have stayed in so far. The full English breakfast was spot on, took the hassle out of where to have breakfast. We will definitely stay here if we come back again in the future thank you very much.

  • A big thanks to Janet who made us feel right at home, not to mention a hearty breakfast served up in the morning, with plenty on offer. The location was spot on for us as although Robin Hood's Bay and Whity Centre were not too far away, we had the peace and quiet which, when you're seven months pregnant is the ideal! If you're thinking about booking a stay here, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

  • The best cottage we've ever stayed in by far, this is a perfect get away for 2 with everything you need. We very much enjoyed the tasteful coastal theme throughout, sparkly clean, a bedroom which we thought was generous for such a petite cottage and a well equipt kitchen. We will be back 🖤
