Places to stay in Cleone
We'd like to invite you to stay at our piece of heaven here on the coast! Enjoy a newly built, furnished & decorated cottage located 3 miles north of FB, 1/2 mile from the ocean on 15 beautiful acres in the sunbelt. Relax in the peaceful redwoods while enjoying your own private deck with a firepit for nightime bonfires, and a hot tub for luxuriating in warm water while you view the stars in the clear sky. There's a fully appointed kitchen with all the amenities, so stay as long as you like.
The cottage is wheelchair accessible, with wide doorways and roll in shower, not necessarily ADA compliant. The cottage is very roomy, almost 900 sq ft. There's a large outdoor living area with barbecue, hot tub, fire pit, and lots of space for relaxing.
It's quiet and rural here, with space for hiking through the redwoods or walking through the apple orchard.
  • The Cottage is the perfect secluded getaway while visiting Fort Bragg. The house is well appointed and situated beautifully amongst the trees. Mary and Royce were excellent hosts!

  • Mary's place is fantastic. Very peaceful in the woods, not far from a walk on the beach. Very unique touches in each room. We had a great time. Very worth the trip.

  • Amazing stay - perfect getaway!

  • I stayed with my father and partner for two days to walk MacKerrick park. It was the wonderfully unpretentious retreat we needed coupled with amazing privacy. Truly perfect.

    John2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great girls trip getaway here. The hot tub, spacious cottage, tv/DVD and comfy beds were highlights. Close enough to restaurants and sights, but feels more private and cozy being a bit more north. Hosts were so great!

  • Expect a wonderful, cozy, comfortable cottage in the woods above Fort Bragg. Prepare to relax and enjoy your vacation...however long it might be.

    Greg2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is located close to town yet in a quiet place that feels secluded. We started and ended our evening in the hot tub, which is on the side of the cottage away from the main house. We enjoyed the local suggestions. The personal bed warmers were a nice touch. We would stay here again.

    Hannah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding location and customer service. I would recommend to family and friends.

  • Alan’s a great host and wonderful resource for the area. The room was nice and comfortable and I enjoyed the view of the beautiful backyard.

  • Accomodating host and a well maintained place with good proximity to the coast.

    Ishminder2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay here! Easy check in and communication, Alan and his wife were very friendly and sweet-wish we could’ve chatted more! The house is large and very beautiful in a pretty neighborhood. It was a quick drive to local bars and restaurants (probably could’ve walked too). Bed was super comfy. The dog was gorgeous but that cat!!! OREO! What a cat. You’ll see.

    Lizi2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Alan’s place was a wonderful stay. I was in a rush to book a place in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area and ended booking Alan’s listing. The room was very clean and had a very whimsical nature to it. Alan was a great host providing lots of suggestions for places to eat and to see in the area. I ended up using some of the food suggestions and all were great. I wasn’t staying for very long, but for the short time I was staying, I was very comfortable. It’s is also a great value for the wonderful home you get to stay, with the added bonus of a very cute dog. If I ever am back in Fort Bragg, I would choose to come back to Alan’s place again.

    Sierra2020-02-13T00:00:00Z

    Julia2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely home, and the room was warm with a comfy cozy bed and excellent pillows. Alan was a great host and when I asked for a sunset spot suggestion I was sent to the perfect location (Glass Beach). I definitely recommend, the accommodations and the beach!

  • The Inn has wonderful character and was very comfortable and warm. I was there during a blackout due to the fires in California and my hosts were very helpful and did everything possible to make my stay safe. I would definitely stay again on my nest trip to Fort Bragg or the area.

  • The Sand Dollar room is quirky but totally worth it. The Redwood Coast Inn was amazing - awesome old building, walking distance to all the fun shops in the historic district of Fort Bragg, super clean, and down the block from the ocean. We had a great time! Jameson was nothing but helpful and had some great restaurant recommendations.

    Hillary2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Redwood Coast Inn is a very cool historic building! We were actually upgraded to one of the larger rooms due to a cancellation, which we really enjoyed! Very comfortable lodging.

  • Had such a pleasant stay. I was surprised by how nice the room is since it's hard to judge from the blurry photos. Definitely more old school but everything works. The bed was sooo soft and the room aas very clean with thoughtful touches. Jessica was helpful in providing local tips and she was so nice. Definitely would stay here again.

This beautiful, comfortable home just north of Fort Bragg offers a variety of outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed any time of year, no matter the weather. A private and quiet space just minutes to Glass Beach and downtown Fort Bragg. The home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, full kitchen, laundry room, covered hot tub, private yard, and more.
Step just outside the living room door to find a beautiful, one of a kind, garden atrium complete with year round flowers and greenery, waterfall Koi pond, warm lighting, and dining space. Even on the coldest, foggiest coastal days, the atrium is warm, dry, and comfortable. Rainy days are a treat in this amazing space. Just past the atrium is a private yard with flowers beds and benches to enjoy on warmer days. This is a perfect place for families to enjoy time outdoors while maintaining privacy and comfort. In another section of the private yard, you'll find the hot tub located in a comfortable gazebo overlooking the small, seasonal creek that runs through the yard. This protected space is particularly enjoyable on rainy evenings when waves can be heard crashing in the distance. *Update* As of February 2020, the double bed in the second bedroom has been upgraded to a queen
Quiet and private neighborhood only 5 minutes to Glass Beach and town, even less to beautiful tide pools and beaches at MacKerricher State Park.
  • This place is pure magic. We greatly enjoyed the gorgeous atrium and the yard in both rainy and sunny weather. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax. Indoors, the art and decor is colorful and varied, creating a cheerful and soothing atmosphere. We played games, watched movies, and slept like logs. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the place is spacious and well-appointed. You can spread out and fully enjoy the peace and comfort of some time away from home. The location is also perfect, as it is very close to MacKerricher State Park, and just north of town. Superb place to stay, in every way! We are so grateful.

  • Such a great spot! The backyard was by far my favorite, but the inside is immaculate and very spacious.

    Travis2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Kellie has created a really lovely place to stay, it was perfect for our young family. We appreciated all the minor touches, she's thought of everything you might need. The space is newly done and very comfortable. ! The atrium and yard were so tranquil. The house it well situated and so close to everything you will want to see. We'd certainly come back on a future trip!

    Azriel2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! Absolutely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at through Airbnb! Great location, lovely, well-appointed interior, and a really awesome gazebo covered hot tub, complete with a croaking frog singing from the creek running through the beautiful garden. It’s clear the host put a lot of passion and work into her hospitality. I hilly recommend this place!

Retreat from the demands of daily life beneath majestic redwoods, among healing gardens and surrounding rustic area, with its tranquil atmosphere of silence, relaxation, and comfort, and be filled with peace.
WINTER SPECIAL: January and February - Book three nights, fourth night free. (request discount when booking) The Cottage at Milagro Grande IS: The joy of simple pleasures The casual comfort of feet on the coffee table Coffee in bed while you read one more chapter Scones and orange juice on the deck warmed by morning sun Being startled when a tree frog jumps as you move an outdoor pillow Watching hummingbirds bathe in the fountain and feeling their delight Looking up into the branches of a giant redwood and being awed Strolling through gardens of dazzling color and fragrance Looking into an evening circle fire and feeling its timeless connection Taking home the rejuvenation and healing that comes from slowing down and appreciating the joy of small things Our garden themed cottage offers just the right amount of rustic comfort. There is a queen-size bed fit for a king with a pampered feeling from organic bamboo sheets and pillows. There is a small galley kitchen with microwave, gas stove, small refrigerator, and basic equipment for light food preparation (after all, you didn’t come to the magnificent north coast to spend time in the kitchen cooking). There is a gas barbeque on your deck for your personal use. There is a full bath. The living area has a full-sized couch which makes into a bed, and a window seat suitable for a child (or an adult who wants to feel like a child). A propane fireplace provides heat and plenty of cozy without tending a fire. Internet is available and reliable. Everything you need for your "simple pleasures” getaway is provided or can be requested. We are conveniently situated a short distance from the seashore just beyond the usual fog line. The property is forest and open ranch land on two sides. We are two miles inland from the ocean where Airport Road (there is no airport, which is a long story) meets the surf. We are minutes to our famous Glass Beach, the trestle bridge where Pudding Creek meets the sea, and the miles-long Haul Road, a paved mixed recreation trail along the bluffs with outrageous views of white water surf and sightings of passing whales. We connect with the newly opened section of the Coastal Trail. Bring your bikes, kayaks, and walking shoes. There's nearby surfing. fishing and state park events.

  • A charming B&B, great value, and close to Ocean. Delicious breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns, fresh salsa, granola and Apple turnovers! Hot shower. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Ft. Bragg.

    Sara2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great find! Very cute room in a victorian house. Breakfast was delicious and it was fun chatting with the host and some guests. Be prepared to see some furry friends at breakfast! Walking distance to downtown. Would highly recommend!!

    Anna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The room is cozy and has it's own private bathroom, which is nice if you're not into sharing those spaces with other guests. A full hot breakfast is provided too with lots of tasty homemade dishes. Would definitely stay again - hopefully it's not so foggy next time!

    Jeff2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky to stumble upon this BnB. They are dog friendly, you can walk to glass beach in just a few minutes, and the breakfast that is included is amazing. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality to both humans and pups!

    Roc2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Inn is a cute, cozy place with a warm atmosphere. If ever passing through Fort Bragg in the future we would definitely love to stay here again. Beth’s breakfast was amazing - she really pulls out all the stops! Her adorable little dogs and the house cat are lovely little greeters too. Thanks, Beth!

    Elissa2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Interlude room (soon the name is changing to Sea Breeze), and it was incredible. I have to say it was one of the best stays I've ever had anywhere. The cute animals, cozy atmosphere, and Beth's amazing breakfast made for a really great stay. We were initially booked to stay in the Buttercup room, but after seeing the other rooms in person, we opted to pay a little extra for an upgrade to Interlude. It was well worth the extra money and I would recommend paying a little extra to stay in your favorite room.

    Nate2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The atrium is a darling and lovingly curated space to stay in. Even if you're just there for 1 night and you are the only guests you will get spectacular service. Late check in is easy, and check out was easy as well. Breakfast is amazing and Beth has a passion for the area. Highly recommend checking out this space. If you're on the fence don't be. Seriously great place to stay.

The rental space is the lower unit in a two story house. The studio is all on one level and does not require stairs to enter. The ocean can be seen and heard all day, and there is a private trail which leads to the beach in less than 5 minutes. Enjoy a breakfast in bed while watching the waves and spend as much time as you please being cozy inside or adventuring outside. With the full kitchen and dining table, cooks can enjoy using local farm fresh ingredients to make delicious meals.
One of your hosts is an ordained minister and upon request can officiate your nuptials on the cliffs of the pacific ocean. You may also have a chance to interact with the resident horses. We share 3 acres of property with neighbors who own two friendly horses that on some days will hang out on our side of the yard. They love treats like carrots, and apples; as well as some good head scratches. We wish they were ours, but they wander the property freely so we can't guarantee they'll be on our side when you visit.
Our house is located 5 minutes from Virgin Creek Beach. We live along a trail called the "Haul Road" as it used to be the primary roadway used to haul lumber between the forest and the saw mill in town. The saw mill is long gone, but the roadway remains giving runners, walkers, and bicyclists an excellent trail to use anytime of day. We are also a 5 minute drive from the center of historic Fort Bragg with beautiful shops and delicious restaurants.
  • Really wonderful location and lovely interior. If you like to walk through a field to the beach and keep walking along some beautiful coast to the Seal Observation Deck without getting in your car, this is the place. The place seems brand new, feels very private, and is bigger than some one-bedroom places. There are great view out three sides of the studio. The hosts are 11 on a scale of 10 nice. Bed was super comfortable, we want to buy the mattress. Nice big kitchen. Really everything seemed perfect. Thanks for making our trip a real joy.

  • Wonderful hosts and wonderful location!

  • We had a wonderful long weekend in Fort Bragg. Caitlin is very hospitable and left delicious treats for us and had fresh daffodils in vases. Home was very clean. The home's location is beautiful: 1. you can hear the ocean waves 24/7, 2. It is a short walk through a field to a private beach where we walked on "singing sand" and saw a cute sea otter walking on shore. Such a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

    Kristen2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place in a wonderful location adjacent to a state park. You can walk a few minutes to watch the sunset over the ocean, explore tide pools on the beach and walk or bike along a paved path that goes along the cliffs all the way to downtown Fort Bragg (about 1 mile). Caitlin and Bret were excellent hosts with fast, easy communication. Their place is very clean, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities that you made need and special touches like fresh flowers and plants, local coffee and tea and sweet snacks. And there are horses in the yard! I highly recommend it and hope to go back some day.

  • We loved our stay at this house! Very spacious with cozy nooks and a beautiful deck. A much needed getaway. Very easy to communicate with the host and check in/out was a breeze. Thanks again!

    Dara2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. The kitchen is nicely updated, and while the rest of the house is more mid-century, we were comfortable and had a great time.

    Janine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful weekend getaway for me and my family. Extremely spacious throughout the house. Close proximity to center of town. Quick communication with the host. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

    Christine2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This house is lovely. The deck is huge and since it backs up to a forest, it’s quiet and private. The home is beautifully restored with really nice touches. We loved the retro furniture. And especially loved all the windows. My wife loved the kitchen!

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Home was clean and comfortable. Good location. Would stay again.

    Michelle2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place in Fort Bragg! The kitchen and living room are very nicely remodeled, while keeping the original layout of the house. Too bad it was a bit cold for us to hang out on the huge deck (and the hot tub was locked up...). We had a great time at this house. Convenient to dive spots and several surprisingly good eats (eg Egghead for breakfast). It would be a great place to entertain a small party.

    Kevin2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb reservation. The home was clean and beautiful. This was our first family vacation since my girls were children. It's hard to get the family together once they grow up. A lot of extra touches every where you look. Why the Whale Knot--why not? We all agreed that we would like to make this a yearly vacation.

    Holly2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely mid century home in a great location. The shoreline is just a short drive away. Very spacious living area with separate game room and a huge deck. The house is filled with ample sunlight throughout the day. The bathrooms are a bit dated but kitchen area are newly renovated. Overall a fairly comfortable stay.

A beautiful home which has everything you could desire in a place for a relaxing getaway - fireplace, hottub facing the ocean, 180 degree ocean views, great kitchen, piano, and miles upon miles of beaches to stroll just outside the front door.
This listing is for renting the entire house, other listings here on airbnb, at certain times of the year are for renting individual rooms out while the owner is in the home. Please note that during the peak summer holiday months, I strive to rent for full weeks, Saturday to Saturday. If you are seeking something less than that, please simply send me a message with the dates you are interested in and we can discuss. This magnificent custom designed home - The Sea Sanctuary - is situated just a hundred yards from the sand with 180 degree whitewater views. A seal colony can be found 1/2 mile to the south and exceptional tidepooling can be found directly in front of the home. A bike/walking trail runs along the ocean as well. Enjoy a solitary walk along the beach - in fact you could walk for miles and miles in secluded exploration of beach and sandy dunes. Radiant floor heat and a wood-burning fireplace can make this rental extra cozy in the winter. Elevated decks both front and rear allow for enjoyable outdoor living as well. A Jacuzzi-brand hot tub sits on the front deck from which you can watch and listen to the ocean's roar, see the pelicans glide by, and at night watch thousands upon thousands of stars. To take advantage of the great view, the main living area in the house is on the 2nd floor, including the master bedroom, kitchen, living room and den, all with gorgeous bamboo floors. A 5x7' loft in the living room accessible from a built in ladder is a great place to play a game of cards, relax with a book or have a private conversation. Kids always want to sleep up there on the carpeted floor, and adults sometimes do too! Directly under the loft is the window seat - the most popular spot in the house. The 42' wall-mounted flat screen TV is in a smaller den attached to the living room. The double doors on the den close, keeping the viewing noise from infiltrating the peacefulness of the rest of the house. One or two people can sleep privately on the den's pull-out sofa sectional. A gourmet custom granite and bamboo kitchen with double oven, All-Clad Cookware, Dishwasher, Kitchen Aid Mixer, Vitamix, Rice Cooker and many other appliances and dishware make cooking or baking a joy for small or larger groups. Real wine and champagne glasses too! Downstairs, you enter through the slate entry area to find a photography gallery/carpeted open yoga/exercise area which includes two futons for yet further sleeping spots. it's also a great place for kids to play if you want them to have their space separate from the rest of the group. The downstairs bedroom has a wonderful view facing out to the ocean, and the Japanese-style tatami bedroom makes for another very comfortable sleeping space The Sea Sanctuary is truly a beautiful home which can help to make your vacation by the sea very relaxing and extra memorable. To sum up, there are many sleeping options: Upstairs - Bedroom - king bed - Den/TV room - Full-size pull-out sofa sleeper - purchased from Macy's but still not the most comfortable - Fireplace nook open area off the living room - queen platform futon with extra padding and regular couch Downstairs - Bedroom - queen bed - Tatami room - a private sleeping option with a queen mattress on a platform bed. Sliding shoji screens close the room off - Exercise/play area - queen futon + single futon If you are into cooking, the kitchen is fully stocked including Vitamix, KitchenAId Mixer, double oven, 5 burner cooktop, rice cooker, Cuisinart Food Processor, built-in mircowave, toaster, etc.
Proximity to the beautiful beach which is an easy 1 minute stroll directly in front of the front door. It's also on a relatively quiet loop road 1 mile off of Hwy 1 so it's very quiet. A short 8 minute drive gets you to the center of Fort Bragg so you're not far away from groceries and other essentials.
  • Excellent location, home, and host.

    Michele2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, spacious and sparkling clean place, excellent location, exactly as described! Just a short walk to private beaches and miles of paved ocean trail. If your looking for a true ocean experience this will not disappoint. Will definitely stay at the Sea Sanctuary again when in the area!

  • This was one of two houses our families stayed at for our wedding weekend. This house was definitely a highlight of the trip. The wide open view of the ocean from the main room is amazing, the beach right outside is great for exploring, and the layout of the house is unique in the best way. Ted was super helpful, even letting us take a brief tour before booking the place. Highly recommended.

    Evan2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stunning place that is incredibly comfortable and spacious and easy to be in. The location is perfect. The ocean is right there. The views are incredible both east and west. There are deer near by. We hope to return. Very clear and responsive communication with Ted. A joy.

    Thomasin2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ted was great, the house was amazing, and a better location isn't possible!

    Leandra2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at The Sea Sanctuary was such a special experience. Comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful home. Loved being able to listen to music throughout the house using Sonos app. Generous living spaces throughout the house (including a cute loft) and two decks were an added bonus to this wonderful oceanfront home. Looking forward to staying again.

  • Ted's place is jaw dropping...extremely nice top end home in a great location. Fort Bragg can be a bit foggy but when the sun is out it is incredible.

  • Absolutely gem! My partner and I come up and stay at the Photographers Studio every year. The space is roomy and beautifully furnished. Every time we’ve stayed we fall more in love with the studio and with Fort Bragg. This time around we couldn’t help but notice how great we slept each night! The location is minutes away from the Headlands and less then 10 from Glass Beach. Anne has some great suggestions for local eats and trails. Zazi is the sweetest and a staple of our visit. Can’t wait to come back up!

  • Lovely place. Modern inside, rustic outside. Great courtyard to birdwatch.

  • What an incredible treat - the Photographer's Studio was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The studio itself is private with many personal touches. It is obvious Anne and Bill are very thoughtful about the space and their guests' experience. The bed is comfy and the studio includes plenty of amenities including coffee, tea and even cream in the fridge. Anne, Bill and Zazi were wonderful hosts and had excellent advice for our adventures in the area. I can't rave about this place enough!

    Kendall2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful scenery. There was pamphlets to tour around fort Bragg also a list of dining places . And a very friendly four legged furry friend !!

    Leslie2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t say enough good things about Anne and Bill’s hospitality and all the thoughtful touches in this cute studio. From the coffee maker to the nice shampoos to Bill’s photographs on the walls, this is a lovely, quiet spot. You’re a quick drive to the restaurants and coastal trail in Ft Bragg, and maybe a 10 minute drive to Mendocino itself. Quiet and private, but Anne was helpful at all times. And they have a friendly, sweet dog, too. Strong recommend.

  • This was such a fun little spot to stay! I haven't used Airbnb before, so I don't have anything to compare it too, but I still think it was really lovely. Marilyn is very responsive and it's a great location.

  • A beautiful home. Very impressed with all of the necessary amenities and more! We stay in air bnbs often and this one was by far the best.

  • Fish house was idyllic for a weekend of respite. It’s proximity to the beach allowed us to go down each morning, walk along the water, build sand castles with our little ones, and breathe in the fresh ocean air. The house was cozy and clean. We enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and playing games after cooking dinner. Marilyn was a thoughtful house and left us all sorts of tips to explore nearby Fort Bragg and Mendocino. The space was quite relaxing and met our needs for a long weekend away.

    Katja2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • Fish House is the perfect family spot. It is close to town, beautiful walks (seal viewing), the yard and deck are additional bonus spaces, and the home is very comfortable; the lay out is great for both privacy and shared space. • Cozy home in a secluded and quiet area north of Ft. Bragg. Quick drive to all the popular sites and hikes. Amazing hot tub with a wonderful view of the stars at night. Heating worked very well for our needs! Relatively well stocked for the size of the home. Access to a freezer space would make the unit just about perfect.

    Bhavna2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place! Should be noted this is essentially a studio.

    Anna2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Good spot, not far from the local town. With poor internet due to redwoods it would have been nice to know some local places to check out. There are sand dunes on sand dunes that are an amazing hike right at the end of the street.

    Megan2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and perfect. It was great to be able to bring our pups they enjoyed the stay just as much especially the the hike through the Dunes . Hot tub star gazing is the best, and being just miles from town was a bonus. All the amenities for the kitchen were just enough and the towels for the hot tub was appreciated. Thank you for hosting us!!!

Your own private retreat includes sauna, hot tub, breakfast, and massage (separate fee paid to masseur) by prior appointment. All just 5 minutes from town and Glass Beach.
The Mendocino Coast's most popular Airbnb destination now has over 900 five-star reviews. The Garden at Road’s End, located just two miles from the beach at Pudding Creek in Fort Bragg is a garden lover’s paradise. Set on 8 acres in the middle of a carefully tended lush landscape, the gardens are surrounded by fields, forest, and redwood groves. As my guests, you’ll have the sense you’ve stepped into another world- one that offers peace, tranquility, and the opportunity to recharge and find your own place of inspiration. You will be offered a private, self-contained architecturally designed studio adjacent to the main house. The 500 sq. ft. space features a comfy living area with a large sofa, table and chairs, a cozy window seat with views to the gardens, and photographs and original artwork by some of The Mendocino Coast's most renowned artists. The sleeping area includes TWO double beds, so the studio easily accommodates four, in one large, light-filled room. A queen-sized air mattress is also available for those of you wishing to add an extra person or two. The well-appointed kitchenette allows you to prepare simple meals with its refrigerator, countertop convection oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle and blender. A dining table and 4 chairs allow you to eat comfortably, and a beautiful bathroom of modest proportions with a glass block shower, plus large area for hanging and storing clothes complete your accommodations. A very efficient Monitor heater will keep your room at the temperature you prefer. A wet/dry cedar sauna, free weights, hot tub and deck, outdoor shower, comfy hammock, fire table (extra fee), free Wi-Fi, and plenty of places to sit throughout the gardens complement your studio space. A separate massage studio on the property offers massage and bodywork by prior appointment with an extremely talented local professional therapist, Paul, and he will help you to fully unwind and surrender into peace. Once you have a confirmed reservation you may message me for contact information for massage appointments. The gardens have played host to many garden tours, fund-raising events, an inspirational Houzz video, and more than a dozen couples have been married in the gardens over the past 20 years. Please note I no longer host weddings or events, however. I bring my talents as an architect, landscaper, lover of Spirit, and as an innkeeper for 13 years at a retreat center in Sonoma County into play here, where I have finally found a place to live out my passion, and share it with others. I am fully licensed to operate a B&B, and the rates include an 11% hotel tax which I pay to the county, so staying with here helps support the local economy here on the Mendocino Coast. The Garden at Road's End is just 5 minutes from downtown with its restaurants and shops, and from the famous Glass Beach, Skunk Train, and from miles of spectacular coastline with its many beaches and hiking trails. The property is a 20 minute drive along Highway One to the Victorian Village of Mendocino- a must see! I look forward to playing unobtrusive host to those of you who feel inspired to visit and will do my best to make your stay a memorable one.
The neighborhood is a great location, just 5 minutes from downtown Fort Bragg, Glass Beach, and the coastal bluffs, yet the property is at the very end of a quiet gravel road, and the only sounds you will hear are the garden's waterfalls, crows, wind in the redwoods, horses hooves and whinnies in the adjacent pasture, and when the conditions are right, the ocean surf. We are at the edge of the "banana belt": when Fort Bragg is socked in with summer fog, we are very often still in sunshine.
  • What can I say about this piece of Paradise that hasn't been said before? Well, I'll just say that from the moment John greeted us we were in awe of the surroundings. We loved exploring the grounds (and its hidden treasures) and relaxing in the sauna and hot tub. The beautiful studio apartment was the icing on the cake. All in all, this weekend excursion was a perfect 30th anniversary getaway!

  • Beautiful place!!!

  • John’s place was so spectacular and was very comfortable and clean! He put so much thought into everything about the space from the breakfast to the extra linens to the sauna and hot tub. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is staying in Fort Bragg. I wish I had stayed for longer than one night!

    Ann2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • John's garden paradise beats any other Airbnb experience I have had to date. The studio is so comfortable and well appointed, and the gardens are magical. Hot tub and sauna top it of.

  • Beautiful studio, garden, spa and more

    Elyssa2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • It gave us a big surprise and it was the perfect place to stay during our trip. The various plants in the large garden are very beautiful. We saw deer in the forest in the morning, and the children were very happy! The hot pool in the forest, the large brazier on the lawn, the independent hut gym and the sauna ... all enjoyed alone, this feeling is very comfortable. The room was comfortable and the lighting effects were very good, and I enjoyed staying here. We are fortunate to find such a house, which is inexpensive and a perfect experience.

    Dali2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful garden, just gorgeous and the hot tub was very nice and enjoyable! Great place to relax!

    Casey2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful! From the gardens to the unique finishes inside the house, this place was gorgeous. We love the garden, hot tub & sauna and appreciated the little details such as the local magazines and coffee. It was sparkling clean & beautifully furnished. We also loved being surrounded by trees and the serenity of the place.

  • This was honestly one of the most amazing Airbnb’s ever. The house is comfortable and has a home style touch to it. Breakfast was homemade and absolutely amazing. 10/10!

    Zack2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and filled with nice thoughtful touches. Great location was only like two blocks from glass beach. The breakfast! OMG the breakfast was so good everything made fresh, eggs, sausage, bacon, homemade granola and biscuits and vegetarian frittata! And homemade granola! Fruit salad! Fresh squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice. Just awesome great experience.

  • Loved staying here and would definitely come back! Great breakfast :)

    Tamara2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem! We loved staying here! It was very conveniently located withing a short few blocks to glass beach, overtime brewing, north coast brewing, and the rest of downtown. The room was very cute and cozy and had a window that overlooked main st and had view of the ocean. The breakfast was great and the owner was very present and welcoming! Most importantly it was extremely dog friendly! My little family (myself, significant other, and 2 Pomeranians) enjoyed out stay. It was a delight and a pleasure to stay here and we will be back again!

    Micheal2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and cute little bed and breakfast. We got the room facing the street, and yes you can hear cars zoom by, but honestly didn’t bother us, we even still slept with the window open. The homemade breakfast was awesome! They had a cat and dog there which was a plus in my book. Our rooM was decorated tastefully and we knew it was an older house, so the smart tv was a surprise . The location is perfect for seeing tops spots in fort Bragg, literally 2/3 minutes from glass beach, skunk train, triangle tattoo museum, all the musts. Beth and Michael are awesome!!

    Tina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here on the way down the pacific coast. This was a great place to stay with wonderful hosts! We were kindly greeted upon check in and got the grand tour as well as plenty of recommendations for dinner. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful with a wide selection of food (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, fruit, yogurt, apple dumplings 😋, and probably more things I’m forgetting). I would very highly recommend staying here!

    Tony2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A really quaint old B&B that is tastefully upgraded and well run. Beth is a welcoming host with much knowledge on the area. The breakfast buffet is so amazing, all made from scratch with different desserts each day!

    Jed2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place right on highway 101. Room was nice with it’s own full bath. Beth was friendly and quick to respond which was nice as we were somewhat late in booking. Definitely would stay there again.

Located in a quiet, rural area and yet only a few minutes drive from downtown Fort Bragg and one mile from the beach, our beautiful private cozy cabin was completely remodeled in 2014.
Our secluded, cozy cabin is located just north of Fort Bragg near the end of a quiet gravel lane. The cabin is in a rural area and yet is just a few minutes drive from downtown and its numerous restaurants and galleries. Also just a few minutes drive are the Skunk Train, Glass Beach, the Noyo Headlands Park and Coastal Trail, MacKerricher State Park and Pudding Creek Beach. The cabin is close to the main house, but with a separate yard and entrance, so is very private. The accommodation consists of a large, light and airy sitting/dining room with vaulted pine ceiling. This room also has a kitchenette comprising of a sink, microwave, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, tea kettle and coffee maker (Note: there is no stove or cooktop). The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and en suite bathroom with shower. There is a small covered redwood deck with table and chairs. A very efficient gas monitor heater is located in the main room for those chilly evenings. Free WiFi access is available. Binoculars, beach towels, beach chairs and coolers are available to borrow on request. There are many activities available locally including whale watching, fishing, hiking, cycling, kayaking, horse riding, to name a few. Fort Bragg has many festivals throughout the year including the Whale Festival in March, the Mendocino Film Festival in May, the World's Largest Salmon Barbecue and Mendocino Music Festival in July and Paul Bunyan Days in September.
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Fiona's cabin this past weekend. Had all the amenities we needed and was very private. Fiona was nice enough to meet and greet us and provide some information about things in the area. Bed was very cozy! Recommended if you're looking for a nice place to stay in Fort Bragg.

    Anthony2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Fiona and Neil’s quaint cottage in Fort Bragg. Excellent proximity to various points of interest in Mendocino county. The place was very clean, and check-in was a breeze. Would come again!

  • Very cozy space. The perfect location to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Pretty close to the town and some amazing places and beaches. Would recommend to those looking to get away and chill out.

  • Such a nice little space. It was my first time doing airbnb so I didnt know what to expect. Fiona was wonderful, and gave great directions to her place, even though it was really easy to find anyways. The space is the perfect size for 2 people and is very clean. She showed us the space when we got there and I never saw her again the rest of the time, letting us enjoy our quiet and peaceful little spot. One nice thing about it is that she keeps brochures to food places and a list of other things to do in the area. I kind of got to fort bragg with only a couple of things on my agenda, so her lists really helped me expand on things to do. Thank you again fiona!

    Matt2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our cozy stay at Fiona’s cottage! Fiona greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. She even had a copy of a local newspaper so we could check the tide tables before visiting any of the nearby beaches - such an incredibly thoughtful touch! The space was beautiful, and we especially loved watching the hummingbirds on the porch in the morning. We were very glad for the tranquil escape for a weekend.

  • Megan and Rex have 5 ⭐️ and over 250 reviews for a reason. This place and their hospitality are bar none the best I’ve ever seen from an AirBnB host. Megan made sure to be home to greet us and even spent a few minutes talking to us. I could probably spend all day talking with her. This woman has some amazing stories! We instantly felt welcomed and at home for the weekend. Corkie is super friendly and the her chickens are also cute as well! The property is less than 5 minutes away from the downtown area and in close proximity to great amenities. Book now! Don’t pass up an amazing place with even better hosts!

  • A great home for a family holiday within walking distance to the beach. Home was clean and comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor area looks great for relaxing outside and eating outside however the weather wasn't cooperating when we were there!. Look forward to returning

  • Spent 6 nights here. Very comfortable - especially the beds. The terrace area is a real sun trap and the deer and hummingbirds in the garden are a bonus. The only very slight down side for our boys was the slowness of the wi-fi but this did not detract from this lovely house and it's location. It was great to walk to the beach and watch the sun set in the evening.

    Marion2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place on the north side of Ft. Bragg. It's practically next-door to MacKerricher State Park which is OUTSTANDING for a sunset picnic/walk. A great Mexican restaurant is also within a stone's throw. It has lots of room, a nice deck for morning coffee, and two full bathrooms! We took advantage of the beach within walking distance (nice walk!) and the wifi :-)

    Sally2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great! We had 3 couples at the house. House was very clean, rooms were good size and a 5 minute walk down to the beach.

  • What a fantastic house, even better than expected. It looks really cute and special in the photos, but I was surprised by how private it was, at the end of a long driveway with open space all around, and right on the coast with intimate access to coves/beaches! And so cute with the seaside theme! Also cozier than it looks in the photos, very comfy beds, well stocked towels, great hot tub! A real gem.

    Katie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for some magic, this place certainly has it! I felt like I was inside of a Mary Poppins film spending some time in a painting. There are little trails along the ocean and through out the property that truly transfer you into a place of imagination!

The 1,700 square-foot home is bright and cheery offering an open-concept living room with a sofa and dining table for six. Bring your favorite DVDs or catch the latest flick on cable. Family board games, an Xbox, and a game room with a Ping-Pong table mean you'll never get cabin fever, and wireless Internet access allows you to stay plugged in when needed! A full, well-stocked kitchen and oversized island makes it easy to prepare meals for a large group. There are three bedrooms and two full baths in this single-level home: the master bedroom has a king bed, flat-screen TV, and work desk, a second has a queen, and an additional bedroom has two twin-sized beds for little guests. There's even an inflatable queen air mattress to accommodate extra travelers. Outside, you'll count shooting stars around the ornate iron bonfire pit, lounge in Adirondack patio furniture, or serve up a mean game of badminton. And with handicap and elder access, and private washer and dryers, this home is the perfect getaway for long days at the beach, and cozy late nights in good company. For a day out and about, visit Mendocino Botanical Gardens, watch the seals at MacKerricher State Park or make the trip into town for fine sea food, and quaint antique shops. This cheery Fort Bragg vacation rental is the perfect place to kick off your shoes, wiggle your toes in the sand, and enjoy the California coast in your home away from home! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.
  • This place had everything we needed for a friend's weekend on the coast. There were PLENTY of dishes, silverware, mixing bowls, pots/pans, etc. which really went a long way when trying to cook meals for 8 people! The open kitchen really allows everyone to still be engaged even if their in the kitchen, dining area, and living room. The dining table was large enough for all of us to eat and then play numerous board games. Beds and couches were comfy and linens were spotless and neat. Overall felt like being at one of our homes; we felt comfortable the whole time and couldn't really think of anything negative.

  • This is the second time we have stayed at this place and have enjoyed both times. My family loves the open space that allows for better interaction with one another. It is a quiet place and we got the treat of seeing some wild creatures (deers and a fox!). Our favorite part of this home is the bonfire spot in the backyard. The house is fully stocked with many amenities. We will definitely rebook at this place and we love how Vacasa takes care of us every time!

Breakfast was delicious and fresh— chickens and a beautiful garden are just in the backyard. The bnb is in a great location for exploring the coastline between Fort Bragg and Mendocino, which can take all day. Walking down to glass beach is a must. Definitely recommend!

You can't be more downtown than this and still be in a garden. The cherry trees are an exceptional treasure. They date back to the original fort. If you can be here when they blossom it is memorable. City codes allows for 2 adults and one vehicle per unit. There are a variety of free public parking options.
Headlands coffee house is just down the street and there are many fine restaurants within a short distance. Restaurants: Eggheads (breakfast) North coast brewery Overtime Brewery Cowlicks Ice cream Markets: Harvest Market (similar to Whole Foods) Safeway
  • Great place. Nice space, comfortable bed, right downtown but very quiet.

    Stephanie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at the Cherry Tree House. The space was as charming, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed being able to walk to local shops and restaurants as everything was walkably close. We also spent time by the fireplace as a nice refuge from a cold and windy day outside. We will definitely return again.

    Ryan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable place to stay just a short walk to everything in downtown Ft. Bragg. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and pots if you want to feed yourself without going out. Would definitely stay here again if I visit town again.

    Thomas2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment could not have been better, a perfect mix of cozy and stylish. We really appreciated the homely touches (like the teapots and the fireplace!), the super comfy bed and the prime location in downtown Fort Bragg. Can't wait for our next visit!

    Alison2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's place exceeded our expectations. The decor is extremely thoughtful and provides a wonderful chic, coastal cottage feel. The decor was very thoughtfully put together - I loved the coordinated red throughout the kitchen, with touches of cherry decor throughout to reflect the tree outside. The space is large enough for two people to feel comfortable yet cozy, with tons of beautiful natural light as there were windows everywhere! The fireplace has two comfortable arm chairs in front to relax in, and there is a small balcony as well overlooking the cherry tree. The bedroom and bathroom is seperated via glass french doors (which are sooo cute), with a very comfortable bed. There are plenty of extra blankets if needed. I loved how many windows there were in the bathroom, and the white cloth drapes really added a nice touch. The bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom, and features a large soaking tub surrounded by turquoise tiles. There is also a showerhead above, though be careful if you are tall to not hit your head. The bathroom is stocked with towels and the basics (body wash, shampoo, etc.) The kitchen is well stocked with the necessities for homecooked meals, and a Keurig with pods and creamer is provided. There was also oil and some basic seasoning available for use. There is a coil stove, oven, microwave, and fridge w/ freezer. The location is steps away from downtown, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet. There is a church nearby so in the morning you can hear the church melody with birds chirping which was a treat. Highly recommend the place!

Some local favorites are the Purple Rose Mexican restaurant right around the corner, Beach horse rides at Ricochet Ranch across the street from the Purple Rose, The Seal watching station just west on Mill Creek Rd, a walk along the old Haul Road, a road once used as a private road built by the saw mill, now re-purposed as a paved walking/biking trail. There are Kayak rentals, and bike rentals. Or just relax and listen to the ocean.
  • Another great stay. House is comfortable with plenty of amenities and space. The hot tub and sauna were amazing during the cold rainy weather that we had. The lay out of the house was perfect for early mornings with the 2 yo. He could run and play while everyone else slept a little longer. He loved exploring the back yard too. Definitely reccomend staying here. This was our second stay and there will for sure be more.

  • A well stocked kitchen, a very comfortable bed, an easy walk to downtown. You do have to pay local tax, due to it being a motel, so add ~20$ to the tab. The WiFi is weak, so if that’s vital, probably not a good choice for you. It is a motel, and looks like an old fashioned one on the outside, but it is very nice on the inside. I would definitely stay again.

Renovated with care by owner. He added some uniqueness with colors, hammered copper accents and his own artwork. Some enameled light switch covers, one print, one paintings and a few more minature sculptures by Toru, contemporary Japanese artist. 2 Ceramic plates can be found by Kostas Lekakis from Greece. The porch posts are from locally collected driftwood. 1/2 of this 1acre property is a mini forest preserve with old growth redwood grove. The neighboring redwoods are also old and tall.
Renovated old private redwood cabin on peaceful 1 acre of redwoods with old growth trees. Near the Fort Bragg harbour and the Noyo river, 1.7 mile from the ocean. The harbour sounds near. Nights are very quiet.
Quiet neighborhood on dead end traveled lane.
  • Enjoyed my stay. Zsolt greeted me warmly, even gave me his own coffee when I mentioned I hadn’t brought any. Nice quiet space with beautiful driftwood and copper plate accents

Emmanuel If you love the outdoors, love the ocean, being close to the water, watching and enjoying wildlife then the Emmanuel is the house for you. This unit sits right on the dock on the historic Noyo Harbor
Harbor-front tiny home in the historic Noyo Harbor Were really sorry but this unit is not pet friendly! If you love the outdoors and the ocean, being close to the water, and watching and enjoying wildlife, then the “Emmanuel” is the house for you. Right on the water, this brand-new “Large-scale Tiny Home,” located on one of the harbor’s original docks, will be right up your alley. The unit is 20 feet from the harbor, so you can sit on the deck and watch the seals play, as well as see the endless parade of fishing vessels coming and going from sunrise to sunset. This is an amazing and unique vacation rental experience. Since this is a working harbor, the sounds of wildlife, foghorns, and harbor life might not suit light sleepers, but if you like unusual environments and new experiences, then you are in for a treat! Let the sounds of the barking seals, the harbor foghorn, the boats coming and going, and the tide lull you into a blissful and calm state..ALSO - The Emmanuel is one of two units on the dock and the units are very close to each other. This does not bother me but it might bother some so if you are wanting more open space this might not be the rental for you . The home feels larger than its ~650 square feet (400 square feet downstairs and 250 square feet upstairs in the loft). The maximum capacity for Emmanuel is 4 people, with a queen bed in the downstairs master bedroom and another queen bed in the small bedroom in the loft. The home is newly furnished with clean, modern furnishings and accessories, while the loft TV room has a “groovy vibe” and cool retro bean bag chairs. Note: The loft in this unit has a bedroom and TV area but the ceilings are low - About 3 to 4 feet high but it is a fun place to be with the beanbags and second bedroom. " Sitting on the dock of the bay" -- Otis Redding (1968) Sittin` in the mornin` sun I`ll be sittin` when the evenin` comes Watching the ships roll in Then I watch `em roll away again, yeah I`m sittin` on the dock of the bay Now’s your chance: You too can be sitting on the dock of the bay...
Noyo Harbor - Where the unit is located Noyo Harbor was first established as a port for logging and fishing back in the late 1800s. The Noyo Harbor is an active, fully operational harbor, and is the first such harbor north of San Francisco Bay. The harbor is reminiscent of the famous Cannery Row in Monterey, which includes fisheries and a full marina with classic and vintage fishing vessels of all types. The harbor is a wonderful place for seal-watching, kayaking, or just sitting back and enjoying the foghorn and the coming and going of boats. There have been many classic movies and T.V Shows filmed here through the years, including The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming! (1966), Humanoids from the Deep (1980), Overboard with Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn (1987) the T.V series Murder, She Wrote (1980s). Note about the name: “Emmanuel” is the name of the owner’s son, who is currently serving on a Coast Guard vessel, the “Dauntless.
  • We love this Airbnb! Last we we stayed at the sister rental next door and loved it so we knew we would enjoy this one. The location is great, you cannot beat the view from the deck and pier. The place itself is clean and has everything you would need. We cooked while we were there and did not need anything extra other than the food itself. We are also big fans of the board games provided. Carlon was also very responsive and kind when helping us. We cannot wait to come back next year! :)

    Olivia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really interesting location (great), right on the harbor. It was a bit too chilly for us to enjoy the front deck or dock, but I can see how this would have made the stay even better. An excellent place.

  • Great place! Location was wonderful! House was clean!! Although the loft space adult have to stand hunched over or on knees, it is perfect and spacious for children! My daughter thought it was a house just for her. The house feels bigger than it is and has wonderful views. All and all we wish we would have had more time to stay and enjoy it. Thank you so much. We will be back!
