  • Had a very relaxing few days at Diana's place: such a charming accommodation in a beautiful garden. Private, convenient, and the Talbot Inn pub nearby makes a delicious burger!

  • Diana is a great host. Staying there on my own it was just right. Restful, comfortable and beautiful surroundings... Pheasants, woodpeckers, wrens, jays....:)

  • A really get property with everything we needed in a lovely rural location. Diana is a really welcoming host and was very helpful. We are keen to stay again when it’s warmer as we want to see the garden in bloom.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Diana’s cottage. Diana and her family were so welcoming and friendly. She said we were the first to bring a baby to the cottage (15 months old at the time) and I would recommend this cottage to anyone taking a little one away with them.

    John2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Diana was a great host and the cottage was beautiful. She welcomed us on arrival and was always close by if we needed her. She was happy for us to have our dog with us as well. Situated in a very quiet part of Eastham close to a lot of nature places that we found easy to get to with stunning views. The peacock inn 10mins down the road was fantastic with great food is a must for anyone to try. We had a lovely few days away and it was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Thank you Diana your home is stunning and we hope to return in the summer months.

    Paula2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful and stylish place to stay. Very comfortable and cosy.

    Suzanne2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Diana's place. I would recommend researching places to go beforehand as the internet is very few and far between! However Diana has a book of local walks that can be done, which we found very useful. The flat had all the kitchen equipment we needed as well as enough room for the two of us. Thanks for having us!!

    Richard2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent Host. Cosy flat with everything you would need for a relaxing get away. Nice thoughtful touches even down to Diana leaving a fresh pint of milk and chocolate biscuits. Beautiful property and location. Driveway could be a bit challenging if you have a low car .

With fantastic views across South Shropshire as far as the eye can see, the location of our cottage is perfect for walkers and people looking to escape. The cottage is perched on top of Cleehill Common.
Whatsill Cottage is an old miners cottage based on the top of Clee Hill. Views (when we're not in the clouds) are simply amazing! Perfect for a rural break and located on some great walks around Clee Hill. The Shropshire Way isn't too far away either. You will have access to the entire house which included a large dog friendly conservatory, kitchen, large living room, downstairs bathroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
    Fantastic views.
  • Cosy cottage with a superb view on the valley below. Quiet, equipped with everything you need for a few days away from it all. Particularly loved the giant window in the lounge bringing in lots of light and making you feel at one with the surrounding countryside. Thanks Rhian & Alex for the thoughtful touches and generous provision of bread, milk, tea, coffee, fruit. We'll defo advertise the place to all our friends!

    Val2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely en cosy cottage with the most amazing view. Perfect for a family of four. We felt so welcome. We were provided with lots of extra’s (for example fresh eggs from te chickens in the garden). Lovely walks right from the house, to explore the hill, experience the view and meet some sheep :). Most remembered by our daughters: we turned the lights off after dinner and looked at the thousands of lights in the distance!

    Geers2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for a lovely stay and a wonderful time. We especially loved the welcome and complimentary eggs from the chickens in the garden. The fire was awesome too. The place is well equipped and has a real slow pace of life about it. I can’t wait to come and experience the walks and views in summer!

    Paresh2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Super place and hosts. Spot on!!

    Alison2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and Rhian are really welcoming hosts, and did all they could to make sure we had what we needed, particularly during the stormy weather this week. The cottage is warm and welcoming and really well-equipped. The views from the cottage are truly stunning and there are plenty of walks you can do right from the doorstep. A really enjoyable and restful week!

    Sarah2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. Within about 10 minutes we'd all agreed that this was a competitor for nicest airbnb we've stayed in. Rhian and Alex thought of everything! There were so many lovely little touches that made us feel very cosy and welcome. We felt very spoilt! The cottage is beautiful and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and the thoughtful little extras Rhian and Alex left were just lovely. The view is just beautiful and we went on a lovely long walk straight from our doorstep. We'd recommend a visit to the gorgeous little church at Cleeton St Mary where you make yourself a cup of tea or coffee while you look around. The log burning fire in the living room kept us warm and snug and the whole cottage was wonderfully warm and snug. We will definite be returning and we thoroughly recommend a stay at Rhian an Alex's lovely cottage!

    Eleanor2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough. It was very well equipped with nice touches like cereals, milk, honey, jam, eggs (from their hens! ), flowers and more. Very comfy beds and furniture. Great location with superb views and a real chance to get away from it all. Rhian could not have been more helpful and we're really looking forward to going back.

  • Had a lovely solo stay at the Annex! I came for a weekend yoga retreat just down the road and the accommodation was perfect. The Annex is entirely private, peaceful and quiet and has everything you need apart from full cooking facilities (but there’s a kettle, fridge-freezer and microwave). There were lovely toiletries provided as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and milk. The upstairs living area is bigger and brighter than it looks in the photos and it was cosy and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again. Erica

  • Fantastic space, very luxurious with everything you need and more! The weather was horrific, however it meant that we didn’t feel guilty staying in and getting cosy in front of the fire and the electric blanket, hot water bottles and robes were very much appreciated! Can’t wait to visit in better weather so we can make full use of the outdoor facilities!

    Hannah2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and secluded getaway, the perfect option if you love being out in nature but still want creature comforts. Very cosy and full of thoughtful little touches like hot water bottles, dressing gowns, DVDs and board games. We didn't venture out much during our 2 night stay due to bad weather but were perfectly happy reading next to the log burner. Have recommended staying at the Tree Dome to so many people already and we're definitely planning on coming back in the summer to make the most of the beautiful outdoor space.

  • We stayed at Penny's Star Dome as as a extension to our Honeymoon. One with our Labrador in tow this time! Despite it being a heatwave Penny did the best she could to cool the dome for us in preparation and left us with a fan. We We mostly spent the evenings in and around the Dome due to the heat in the day! Beautiful setting so quiet and peaceful nicely situated. Our dog especially loved laying on the balcony and watching the birds. All the amenities you need are there. We were advised the best walks and given some tips on check in. We enjoyed a thunder & lightning storm from the dome in the early hours which was beautiful. To be honest we only wished we had booked to stay longer. Thank you

    Laura2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Star Dome and it was just lovely! Comfortable bed and amazing to hear the animals all day and night too. We were able to chill outside for the first night which was great with the gas fire pit and the BBQ worked a treat! It does get cold during the night when the fire goes out so the electric blanket was amazing! We made use of the games and played Monopoly and got fish and chips in nearby Clee Hill which were excellent. We didn’t use the hot tub (bring sandals if you do though as the path is made of small stones) All in all, a really relaxing stay which we both LOVED but if you’re scared of the dark and being very remote, it’s maybe not for you!

    Yvonne2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous place, in the middle of the woods, with great views. If the weather is good you have a lovely balcony to sit on, have a drink and admire the scenery, if the weather isn't so good ( it decided to snow the day after i got there, in April!) then you have a great big window to look out of. Light the fire early though, if your there when its chilly, and put the electric blanket on at night. I loved waking up to hear all the birds, you are right in the middle of nature, and there are some lovely walks in the woods right on your doorstep. Penny gets back to you right away if you have any questions, its a lot easier to find than i thought but you are no where near a main road, which is fab. Hope to stay again next year.

  • 5* amenities, every home comfort has been taken into account. Glamping at it's finest!

    Galia2019-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The dome is such a cool place to stay, very clean and with great amenities. We stayed for two nights between Xmas and New Year and weren’t cold at all. We had the fire roaring throughout and the heated blanket on the bed was great too. The hot tub is a really nice touch, and I can only imagine how nice it would be to use the bbq and rattan furniture during the summer months. We felt very relaxed during our time in the dome. Fern recommended that we spent a day in Ludlow which was really nice, and visited Titterstone Clee Hill on the way back. Such beautiful views just 5 mins from the dome. We also had dinner one night at the Hopton Crown pub, which was also nice and only 10 mins away. Overall, a brilliant stay. Thanks.

    Elizabeth And Lee2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely dome with beautiful views. The decor in the dome is really nice and everything you need is there! The fire was nice and relaxing and the hot tub was a nice touch. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. It was rather cold at times so would suggest going in the warmer months if that would be an issue for you. Our dog was welcomed and she loved it there!

  • Wanted somewhere to escape to after a hectic couple of months and Katie's place was ideal. What a beautiful cottage, literally in the middle of nowhere. Certainly off the beaten track but easy to find with great directions from Katie. Lovely cosy room, dark and quiet for a great sleep with a private bathroom just opposite. Great views to wake up to in the morning A shared space downstairs if you want it - we used the small dining room but retreated upstairs for some family games and films. Katie was kind to leave us some bread, butter and jam in the morning to get us started on our early morning departure. Would love to stay again if in the area - a lovely little find! Thank you X

  • My husband booked this lovely place up for my birthday. Katie is a great host she gave us full directions, although it seems to be off the beaten track and in the middle of nowhere we found it very easy , Katies home is very welcoming, characterful, cosy and very clean and comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful that even the birds had a lie-in , in the morning because there is no street lights or traffic! I will definitely be recommending it to family and friends ! Thanks again Katie . And James for the lovely food at the Colliers Lorna and Mark (Devon)

    Andrea2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • The communication was excellent from the beginning, Simon and Tamsin were quick to respond to questions. Both really helpful and on arrival we met two other family members who were so friendly and approachable. Clear directions, easy to find, although we did drive past it-but that was our fault! Outstanding hospitality. The Hayloft is situated above the garage and this attaches to one of two main buildings on the property; you are close but separate from the family who reside here. On arrival we were given keys and a fob to allow us access onto the property. You walk past one of the buildings which is the main family house and walk up some wooden stairs, to a small balcony and have your own private access. I didn't feel overlooked and we came and went as we pleased. We parked next to the garage and the family cars and didn't have a problem getting on and off the drive. As you walk into the Hayloft there is a well equipped kitchen, with breakfast bar and an open plan lounge which has television, sofa-bed and table and 4 chairs. There is a noticeboard on the right as you enter with a map and take-way menu's and in the lounge a bookcase with tourist information. The bathroom is an amazing shower, toilet and sink and they provided soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. At the other end of the lounge through a door is the bedroom with a comfortable mattress and beautiful wooden interior. There is a door at the other end of the Hayloft in the bedroom which opens out onto another balcony with a small metal table and two chairs which opens out to a stunning view of the countryside and is lovely to have a coffee in the morning. Thoughtful touches throughout, including a bottle of wine, coffee machine, with a variety of coffee/hot chocolate pods, and a lovely thick blanket in the chest in the bedroom. It is immaculately clean and very cosy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a somewhere to stay in the Wyre Forest, Kidderminster or Bewdley area or as a central point in the West Midlands. Stunning-thank you

There are countless routes on footpaths in all directions across the hills and forest, starting from the garden gate. Our detached 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 6 people in 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Beamed ceilings and wood burning fires add to the character of this 150 year old stone and brick cottage. But this also means we have steep stairs and low opening windows in the bedrooms. We have fire guards, if needed, for young children.
Our cottage is set in a quiet lane that leads out onto the side of a hill with open access land with loads of footpaths leading in all directions - right from the garden gate. Nearby is Ludlow 5 miles (8km) the most quintessentially English town, with castle, market square and narrow streets with typical black and white houses and speciality food shops. There are many great restaurants and pubs in the town.

The village is hundreds of feet above the surrounding valleys so on a clear day you can walk a few yards from the cottage in any direction and be rewarded with spectacular views. There is a very well stocked village shop half a mile up the road. The cottage itself is clean, cosy and well maintained with a nice large bathroom and well equipped kitchen.

    Richard2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. So sad to leave. We were given a warm welcome and by Di and her staff. The pub regulars were friendly and everywhere we went everyone was so nice. The evening food was wonderful and the breakfasts outstanding. Anyone looking for an extremely clean - yes basic - but comfortable place with beautiful views and an amazing pub would be well pleased to find this diamond. We will certainly return. So many places to visit nearby makes it a perfect base and if you’re too tired to cook or just want to spoil yourself then have a meal in the perfect local. We all said we’d love this to be our local. Roll on lottery lol. Thank you Di and hope to see you again Xxxxx

  • An amazing air bnb! The pub next door is evidently popular (and for good reason- the food is great, everyone is friendly and it was so quiet we even heard an owl at about 10pm!) and is a great option for food after a long drive/ a long day at the nearby safari park. The cottage itself is adorable, with plenty of room, it's own little garden and a lovely conservatory/living room! Di is an excellent host and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • If you are after a quiet get away from it all location, with a wonderful pub on your doorstep look no further. Friendly hosts, lovely welcoming country pub, with excellent food and ales await you, safe parking and no driving. Everything you could want. My hubby loved it and my father in law had a relaxed break in the tranquil countryside. Thank you Di and your great team. XXX

  • This is a great little space in a super part of England. The cottage is perfect for four people and great if you want to bring your dogs too as the garden is private and enclosed and there are lots of interesting places to sniff. The cottage is in the grounds of a great pub which serves good food and good beer! Di and Alan were lovely hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and they even gave us some mushrooms for the breakfast we cooked in the morning. I would thoroughly recommend the 'Live Shack' and we'll definitely be back soon.

  • Beautiful, tranquil cottage on a lovely farm with lots of things to do nearby (we went to the cinema and a climbing wall in Kidderminster, horse riding in the same village at the cottage and visited Wyre Forest). Owners were very kind and let my children stroke their dog. Well proportioned cottage which was to a high standard. My son wasn’t well and we had to be back early on the Sunday so we didn’t stay the third night but this is in no way a reflection on the property. It was a wonderful break for us, thank you

Carolyn was great to communicate with and late check in on arrival was no trouble. I can’t recommend this place more. If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely stay again. Thanks Carolyn!!

  • We had a lovely peaceful break at Fox Hollow Farm. The property is semi rural and with in easy reach of beautiful Bewdley. The downstairs space is spacious and open plan - a great place for families to be together although there were only two of us so we had the luxury of a sofa each! We didn't turn up until later than estimated however Carolyn came to greet us and kindly bought us some teabags and milk which we had forgotten to pick up at the shop. We enjoyed relaxing and looking out at the trees and greenery, meeting the horses in the fields next to us along with the turkeys, ducks, chickens, dogs and cat. All were friendly especially the lovely ducks who came to visit us, pecking at the door hoping for a morsel. This is a lovely place for families especially with the animals being around and is a great base from which to explore Worcestershire. Thank you Carolyn!

Glebe Barn is a peaceful rural retreat and has all you need for a home from home experience, including an oven/hob, micro-wave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and even a washer & dryer. Of course, there's also wifi. The living space is cosy with a new central heating system installed at the end of 2017 and features a log burner to snuggle up in front of, for which logs are provided free of charge. For those with children, there is a fire guard for safety. The bathroom has a bath with a shower and thanks to the state-of-the-art environmental heating system, there's always plenty of hot water. In summer 2018 we installed new windows and in the main living space French doors that lead out to a newly created terrace area. Great for outdoor dining or enjoying a glass of something chilled while watching the sun set over the Shropshire hills. New durable flooring was fitted in 2019 and in 2020 a new kitchen was installed. Glebe Barn has been run as a successful holiday let for some years and is ideal for a romantic break, a family holiday exploring the abundance of local attractions and pretty historic market towns, or the perfect place to base yourself for a walking or cycling holiday. There's a dedicated fenced front and rear garden areas, ideal if you need to contain children or dogs. At the rear forming part of the back garden is a raised terrace area accessed via French doors with patio furniture and a BBQ. If you bring bikes, they can be securely locked in one of the outbuildings. We travel & self cater a lot and find it's inconvenient to have to take items like washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, tea towels, dish cloths, pan scourers, salt, pepper, vinegar, cooking oil etc, so we provide those. We also supply you with enough tea, coffee, sugar & luxury fair trade organic toiletries to keep you going for the first few days too. Although we are in a rural area, Tesco & Asda will do home delivery and a number of the food take-aways in Cleobury Mortimer will deliver. Although Glebe Barn only sleeps 4 plus an infant, we can offer additional accommodation in the main farmhouse if you'd like family or friends to join you for a few days. 'The Bit On The Side (of our house) can accommodate 2 people, having double or twin beds, one bathroom and a living area along with a small garden. There isn't a full range of cooking facilities, just a micro-wave a toaster, a kettle and a fridge. Think of it as more a hotel suite rather than self catering. It is separated from our house by inter-connecting doors and it has it's own front door. The Bit On The Side is also on Airbnb, contact me for more info and nightly rates.
The sleepy hamlet of Farlow lies at the end of the Shropshire hills. Close by and tucked between The Clee Hills and the near-by Wyre Forest is the charming town of Cleobury Mortimer (approx 3 miles away), with Georgian and Tudor architecture, many individual shops, tea rooms and traditional pubs, and the renowned Church with a crooked spire. The medieval town Ludlow is about 8 miles away in the border Marches, with the cliff top town centre above the river and overlooked by the castle. The town is famous for stunning architecture, the bustling market, food heritage and the numerous events hosted there throughout the year. The village of Ironbridge in a gorge on the River Severn (well under an hour away) is at the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrating the birth of the industrial revolution. The heart of the site is the world-famous bridge (the first major bridge in the world to be made of cast iron) and no less than ten museums celebrating the heritage of the area. The picturesque tourist towns of Stourport and Bewdley, well known for their attractive riversides, bridges and festivals are nearby, as is Bridgnorth, two towns in one connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. A little further afield you’ll find Shrewsbury, Hereford and Worcester, and we’re not far from the Welsh Borders and the spectacular Elan Valley and its seven massive dams. Birmingham is an hour or so away and for anyone who’s not been there for some time, it’s undergone a huge programme of transformation with the redevelopment of the Bullring Shopping Centre and regeneration of old industrial areas. Kidderminster is closer, with the standard mix of high street shops, retail parks and supermarkets. Just before Kidderminster is the West Midlands Safari & Leisure Park. We are ideally positions for hiking, cycling and pony trekking, with Country Treks Equestrian Centre just 3 miles away. We are also well placed for pubs that welcome dogs. Tesco & Asda Supermarkets also offer a delivery service to our postcode.
  • A great place to stay, in the countryside, very peaceful. Local pub very friendly, fun to walk there and back through the fields. Loads of great places to visit within a short drive. Some great touches in the barn, most things you'll need, and more, are covered.

  • We had a great relaxing weekend away with our puppy - walks, countryside, fresh air and lovely local and dog friendly pubs. The cottage was more than perfect for us and had everything, and more, you could ask for from a self-catering accommodation. Jan is lovely and so accommodating and couldn’t do more for you- all her instructions and tips were so useful and all the little personal touches made the place and stay so homely and relaxing. Our 9 month old puppy, Ruby, loved it and it was great to be able to let her off knowing that all was safe and secured and she had freedom to explore!

  • Lovely spacious bedrooms and very welcoming hosts. Jan is the perfect combination of friendly helpfulness without being intrusive. The fields for the dog walks are amazing!

  • We were able to get away from everything and relax in such a peaceful location - there can't be many places still as quiet as this in the UK! The view from the balcony door was idyllic and perfect with the fairy lights whilst sitting in front of the log burner at night. Loved the local cider and the fluffy bath robes, the fresh eggs from the farm were absolutely delicious, and wonderful to have such comfy beds, sofas and such good washer, dryer and lovely rain shower. We could let our dog out in the enclosed garden and she loved the treats drawer! It's clear Jan knows what self caterers need - I have never stayed anywhere where literally everything was provided. Jan was really friendly, provided a thorough tour of the place on arrival and gave us tips on things to do. We were able to exercise our dog across their fields and woodland with wonderful views across to Titterstone Clee. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the fort and village of Clee St Margaret, and Jan's tips for free parking in Ludlow with the most perfect castle view were spot on. Glebe Barn is top of our list to return to when we next need a recharge.

Everything we needed for our stay and first night was available along with several touches above and beyond what we expected. Jan and Steve were very friendly and on hand to answer questions and give great local knowledge. A perfect relaxing Xmas break. Thanks!

The Bit On The Side (of our house) is similar to a hotel suite, although not quite as grand - more quaint cosy cottage - and comprises of a living room with log burner and a first floor bedroom with adjacent bathroom. The living area is equipped for very basic food preparation. It has it's own entrance and a small garden area. We provide a DIY breakfast basket with cereals, fresh fruit, bread & jam along with tea & coffee so you can make your own.
If you want sleek and modern with an active nightlife, this isn't the place for you. If you love old quirky character properties, oak beams, log burners, peace & quiet, gorgeous scenery, dark skies and a 'get away from it all experience, look no further. We have sub-divided our old farm house to offer a DIY B&B option. We started calling it The Bit On The Side (as it’s on the side of our farmhouse) and the name’s stuck! It's not what you'd consider it as being full self catering, think of it as similar to a hotel suite. It's in the older part of our farmhouse and comprises of a living room with log burner and a first floor bedroom with adjacent newly fitted bathroom with rain fall shower. Please note, a quirk of our old heating system means the boiler struggles to provide enough hot water for the bath, but the shower has plenty of hot water. We understand that not everyone want's to share a double bed and although there are 2 bedrooms in the Bit On The Side, we feel it is best suited to 2 people. That said, if you want separate bedrooms, that can be arranged but there will be an additional charge of £10 per stay for extra laundry and cleaning. The living room space is set out so basic food and snacks can be prepared using a micro-wave or toaster and there's a kettle and a fridge. Crockery & cutlery are provided, along with a folding table and chairs. There is no water plumbed down stairs, so as with a hotel, water can be obtained from the bathroom sink. We provide a simple DIY breakfast comprising of fresh fruit, cereal, bread, juice, milk, tea & coffee. There it a small patio area with garden furniture by the dedicated front door. It's an ideal space for couples or anyone working in the area intending to eat out most of the time, but with the added bonus of being able to make breakfast and snacks. The near-by village of Cleobury Mortimer has a number of take-away food establishments and some offer a delivery service. In the same way there can be noise transference between hotel rooms, there's also the potential for that to happen as it's separated from our living accommodation by a ground floor door and a first floor door (although there's a hallway on each floor separating the space) which although have been sound proofed, noise may still carry, which is why we don't accept pets or children. Want more space? The Bit On The Side can be booked together with our 2 bedroom self contained detached barn conversion Glebe Barn which is also listed on Airbnb. Message me for more information on the flexibility of the accommodation we can offer.
The pretty hamlet of Farlow, Shropshire, an AONB, close to great walking and a SSSI Nature Reserve. We're in the heart of great walking country with plenty of pretty historic market towns to explore. Guests are also free to wander around our 30 acres of pasture & woodland. Our closest towns are Cleobury Mortimer & Ludlow.
  • Jan’s place is gorgeous! Very cosy and comfortable!

    Claire2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful little hide away! Very cosey retreat on the side of a farm house, very rural, quiet and peaceful. Huge fireplace and log burner which jan had already got going for us, when we arrived she came over to introduce herself and show us around. Wooden beams, huge comfy sofa, and home from home comforts... after a lovely day spent in nearby Ludlow we arrived to a warm house, a bottle of local cider and we snuggled up on sofa and watched a film. What could be better ? Highly recommended. We will definitely go back.

    Louise2019-10-13T00:00:00Z

My place is close to family-friendly activities, Go Ape in the Wyre Forest, visit Ludlow Castle and Farmers market, explore the abandoned quarry on Clee Hill and dig into English Heritage at Witley Court and Gardens or sit and enjoy the tranquilty of the farm. You’ll love my place because of the warm cosy wigwams, the surrounding views and the tranquility. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
Wooden wigwam huts, well insulated for all year use. Situated on a small holding with 3 other wigwams all with allocated private shower room complete with basin, toilet and shower cubicle.
Churchbridge is a very quiet and peaceful place, with the only traffic being local tractors. We are surrounded by large open fields interspersed with public footpaths and bridle ways.
  • Nice pods with good facilities. Lovely and warm, would be fine any time of the year. It was lovely to see the animals and enjoy the natural setting. We made use of the well appointed kitchen and quiet room with the TV and sofas. Quite handy as we didn't have to miss strictly and match of the day! Thanks.

  • A family friendly glamping experience! Kerry sent very clear and thorough messages about the wigwams which meant are stay was easy. The farm is about 10 minutes from Tenbury Wells but feels like an escape from hectic everyday life. The communal kitchen is well equipped and the TV room is a lovely extra space. My six year old son absolutely loved our stay and quickly made friends with the other children on site. He found everything about our stay a great adventure. Kerry was friendly, helpful and welcoming.

  • We were met by our hosts with a chilled bottle of wine and cake (which we consumed that evening). After quickly loading our baggage into their buggy, they transported us through fields to our yurt. It is a truly peaceful spot. We set about making a fire outside and lit the stove inside so it was lovely and cosy. The yurt is very homely and the bed extremely comfy. The kitchen had all that was needed for our short stay. A flushing loo and hot shower was an added bonus. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for our stay. Oh and saw lots of wildlife too!. Would love to come again in the Spring to see the bluebells.

    George2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at the farm was a nice memory for my friends and I. We took some time out for our graduation pictures and the scenic view of the farm made for great pictures. The Yurt itself has cute personal touch to it. Everything is well prepared for and communication with Jan and David was never a problem.

    Lily2018-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place to come if you want to reintroduce the art of conversation. We haven't chatted (to each other) so much in ages due to no screens, radio etc! Tranquil setting just what we were after, nearest campers acres away and such a charming yurt with lovely individual touches everywhere. Would definitely recommend to our family and friends

    Carol2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is quite honestly a little slice of heaven. Waking up to the sound of just tweeting birds is good for the soul. Jan and David’s hospitality from the minute we stepped into the farm to the day we left was exceptional, and we didn’t want for anything because of the yurt being so well-equipped. If you’re after a peaceful break then this is the place to go. Utterly stunning! We’ll be back x

    Ellie2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place.

    Claire2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Both Jan and David were so helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The yurts are set apart from each other in complete tranquility and had everything that we needed for a perfect escape from it all. The yurt was spotlessly clean and it was so lovely be away from electricity and the cooking facilities were great. Because there is no light pollution the stars looked amazing, especially sitting around the campfire. We spotted lots of wildlife including deer in the morning sunlight. The yurt is close to pubs and go ape which was a great day out. The woodland is spectacular and we didn’t want to leave! Trust us, you will love your stay at Silligrove!

    Just2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The yurts are fab! We stayed in the bluebell yurt and loved it, everything you could want was provided, we were going to eat out but when we got there decided we didn't want to be away from it and eating there! It was a cool weekend but that made it all the cosier, having a fire outside and using the log burner inside. The hosts are very good, full of information and helpful when we were unable to get there for check in at 7. We were greeted with homemade cakes and a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. It's so secluded you feel nice and isolated with nature and all the wildlife. We also loved the dog :)

    Carrie2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Bluebell Yurt was absolutely brilliant. My two friends and I stayed for 2 nights and we had the best time. David was an incredible host and was so helpful to us wannabe glampers! The Yurt has everything you could need in your stay and the kitchen area and bathroom and a lovely addition. The views onto the forest are just gorgeous and sitting around the camp fire after the BBQ was such a lovely way to end our trip. We will definitely be booking again in the future, couldn't recommend the Yurt or the hosts more highly. Thank you for having us!

Characterful but modern (2017) cottage, sleeps up to 6/7 guests in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms; there is also a 4th bedroom (camp bed available). The Hoot House is located in the pretty village of Neen Sollars, within 12 miles of Ludlow . Welsh Marches, Ironbridge and Shropshire Hills are all easily accessible. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs. Outside, guests have their own patio and large grassed area as well as access to our croquet lawn, tennis court and boating lake.
This is a family friendly but quiet place to stay. We have installed only a small TV but there are lots of games for inside and lots of space and activities outside. There is no night life for miles other than good village pubs ( nearest 10 mins walk)
Our village is very quiet and beautiful with lots of walks along the river, the old railway line, to the pub or to the C13th church.
  • Place was so much better than we all expected. Spacious for 6 adults and a small dog, lovely fire and grounds to walk in. We managed to take advantage of the walks surrounding the house, croquet on the lawn in the sun and also took the boats on the lake!

  • The Hoot House is an exceptional home that caters for many needs. Its spacious, yet cosy & feels like a home from home. You can hear the owls as soon as the night draws in, which is refreshing. Thank you for the stay and see you again soon

  • What a great location. Tucked away in a sleepy village but with open access to great grounds and good access to local walks and nearby facilities. A terrific pub up the road “Live and let live” that served some of the best homemade value for money food we have had in a while. So good we went 2 nights in succession! Very comfy accommodation, with great facilities, nice modern bathrooms and a good selection of family games to play in front of the roaring wood burner in the evenings. Charlie was most attentive and helpful but did not intrude at all on our stay. Would certainly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful location and a restful break. We even managed to hear a “t’wit t’woo” but no sighting of owls unfortunately. Maybe next time we stay?!

  • The Cottage was the perfect place to spend a couple days over Christmas. The kitchen is nicely equipped and the fire is lovely to spend a few hours reading next too. Unfortunately, we were quite lazy and didn’t explore the local area, we did go into Brummy for a spot of Boxing Day shopping though. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

  • We stayed here over a freezing wet weekend in November and had a great time. The barn is spacious, beautifully designed and a home from home. We particularly loved the super king bed, the log burner and the amazing views. We used it as a base to explore Ludlow and Shrewsbury and can highly recommend it. In summer it must be simply stunning!

    Clare2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need and all high spec and high quality. Lovely tranquil spot, ideal for a weekend get away, we only stayed two nights but immediately felt relaxed and could have stayed the week!

    Sarah2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great cottage in a stunning location. So peaceful. Exceptionally clean and it had everything you could need. Victoria was so helpful and we really appreciated the maps and local walks. Made to feel very welcome!

  • I booked a weekend stay at Milson cottage with the intention of escaping city life and having a truly relaxing weekend with my partner and this place ticked all of the boxes. Well what can I say, this place is just wonderful. Nestled in the Shropshire countryside, with three beautiful horses to greet you as you wake up in the morning, you forget all about your regular routine and worries. The house itself was such a treasure and I’ve never stayed somewhere so clean! It’s not very often a place looks even better and bigger in real life than in the photos but this really exceeded all expectations. And the bed is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. I would definitely book again, only next time for longer. Thank you so much!

  • We had the most fabulous stay at Victoria's place, which was situated in the blissful peace and quiet of the countryside. The property is finished to a very high standard and is very clean. We stayed in the cottage with our 9-week old daughter and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We would definitely return! Can highly recommend a trip to Ludlow and the nearby National Trust properties!

  • Had a lovely stay in Phils home. He wasn't there to meet us but he did phone me to apologise and give me the key safe number. We were left milk and bread and felt at home. Ideally placed for West Midlands safari park and Go Ape in Wyre forest. Lovely big rooms and plenty of logs for the wood burning fires. Highly recommend.

    Sarah2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 3 night stay at Phil's place. Very comfortable, interesting house. Plenty of room for 7 of us.

    Sarah2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The property is a lovely farmhouse style family home that has all you could need for a weekend away. Spacious, cosy, comfortable and well equipped, there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't provided. The wood burners in the two living rooms were a real hit with our friends' eldest and made for a very homely feel. Plenty of firewood was provided so there was no need to go hunting for it. The one large bedroom with a double and single was great for us and our 2 and a half year old son, while the other double room and two twin rooms suited our friends and their two boys perfectly. The garden was big enough for the 3 kids to have a run around and would have been used a lot more if the weather had allowed. The property is really close to the Wyre Forest (10 minutes), West Midlands Safari Park (20 minutes), some great eateries (Colliers Farm Shop and Cafe) and quaint Worcestershire villages such as Bewdley (15 minutes) and Cleobury Mortimer (10 minutes). We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable, quiet getaway to relax with friends while having plenty on the doorstep to keep everyone entertained.

  • This place! I feel somewhat smug! as this was a fluke and very last minute find. Idyllic and peaceful, you have your very own surroundings. The yurt is wonderful and is like a home from home. We sat around the firepit toasting marshmallows, watching the sun go down. Allowing ourselves to just relax. David and Jan are the most welcoming hosts of an extremely unique property (Jealous much). The kids loved it and can’t wait to book to come back. See you guys soon.
