The Shepherds hut is situated in its own woodland and is off grid. You will be able to take in the beautiful night sky and fall asleep to the tranquil sound of the stream trickling by and our owls twit twooing after a day of walking the coast line and visiting the RSPB at Arne . It has its own small log/coal burner to make it nice and cosy and there is a lovely comfy double bed to relax on. You will also hear the night time noises of our woodland friends -the foxes barking and the deer rutting

Our Guest Annex is a Studio with its own entrance, keysafe & parking infront. Upon entering the hall, there is a lounge with a sofa-daybed (with trundle), a smart TV, a kitchenette and a dining table. The kingsized zip-link bed is located at the back of the sunny room with large windows overlooking the back garden. Access to our washing machine, which is located in the main house, is available on request. Housekeeping is weekly, normally on Sundays, when your stay is 7days or longer.

Our home is in a typical Dorset village. It is one of the oldest properties in the village, but has been renovated to a really high standard. Everything is contemporary with a 'country' feel. Our converted coach house offers a cosy corner in the busy village of Downton from which to visit the historic cathedral city of Salisbury and the open spaces of the New Forest. Parts of the property date back to 1475 with links to the Bishops of Winchester. There is plenty on offer in and around the village, with local shops, gardens, pubs, walks and bicycle rides along the River Avon. Bournemouth beaches are not far away. We welcome dogs (please see info regarding fee).
