Sweet Adobe Home
This sweet adobe home from the 1950s is nestled in a garden of fruit trees and succulents. A private patio has a ramada (covered patio) and is perfect for outdoor dining, BBQ and stargazing. The home was lovingly renovated and maintained by my parents for 25 years. Beautiful tiled floors, furniture and outdoor touches reflect their love of Mexico. Marathon is an eclectic, rural town in the heart of the Marathon Basin and a great place to explore the region, be it Big Bend, Ft. Davis or Marfa.

The Blas Payne is a historically significant true mexican adobe. It has been lovingly renovated with handmade cupboards from Mexico and a wonderful patio where you can watch the sunsets. Easy walking distance to downtown and the Post Park. Blas Payne was named "the best cowboy in west Texas" by the Houston Chronicle. His great grandfather was a medal of honor winner as a trumpeter for the Army. His family were part of a group of black seminole Indians who did scouting for the Army.

This artistic structure, once called 'Hostel' and now called 'the goat shed', is made from papercrete and other recycled materials . It is quite comfortable and suitable for up to 3 guests(6 if pairs). If you are looking for a new experience very far from suburbia and get the joke,this is it! Come stay and enjoy the great 'via lactea' from the attached sunset deck. Shared bathroom( only with another single person if it's rented).Don't be afraid to stretch your consciousness here.

Small stand alone unit with vistas of the desert.
This small studio size unit is just a stones through down the road from 385 going in Big Bend Park. You will be able to access all of the neat places that are of interest in this area as we are right on Hwy 90. The unit is just been remodeled with all new and I'm sure you will find this small space to be comfortable.
