The house’s architecture is characteristic of Hydra, dating from the C18th and renovated according to local traditional techniques. The two-storey detached house covers a total area of 180 sq. m., composed of a kitchen, dining room, spacious living room, 2 bedrooms with A/C, WC, and bathroom. It also includes a private yard and a terrace with wonderful island views. It is conveniently located on Miaouli street-one of the few public streets WITHOUT stairs-just a 5-minute walk from the port.

The house is detached, quiet, a bit high up on the hillside in an authentic and preserved environment. You will be dazzled by the extraordinary view of the sea. It is surrounded by olive trees, two lemon trees and a fig tree. Its two terraces, each with its own shaded pergola, offer a beautiful 180° view of the sea and the neighbouring hills.

Vlichos is an oasis for those who want to escape the vibrant yet busy atmosphere of Hydra town. It is only 5 mins by sea taxi from Hydra's harbor or 30 mins walk (which we thoroughly recommend you take at sunset).

The House at the Centre

The "House in the center of Hydra" is a two floor apartment, located less than a minute away from the port. Built during the 19th century but recently renovated and redecorated, it is the first year that it is available for rent. The house's original style was maintained and enhanced with contemporary decorative ideas, resulting in a simple and comfortable yet luxurious outcome.

Antonia's Guest House - Sea View Room

This room is located in Kamini area. It is part of a bigger building right by the sea, which used to be a tannery (tampakiko) -back to the 1840s. It's been renovated recently and provides you a private balcony with splendid views of the ocean. You will enjoy peaceful moments hearing and gazing the sea, while only a few steps keep you away.

My ancestors' stone house will immerse you in the authentic Hydra living. Thick stone walls, anchors and family memorabilia are coupled with all modern comforts. A five-minutes' walk from the port and a minimal amount of stairs, in the house you will experience the true atmosphere of the island.
