Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Morningside, is an exclusive area on the sunny southside of Edinburgh. Enjoy good transport options to the centre of town where many events are happpening throughout the summer. Public transport, a bicycle ride along the canal or a leisurely strole around 2.5 miles from the city centre can be a thoroughly enjoyable journey.

'The Snug' is a fully licensed, private apartment attached to our Bungalow with its own entrance & is ideal for couples. There are stairs to access the property. We live in a lovely residential area. 2 min walk away there is a direct bus route into Edinburgh City Centre. The bus takes approx 25 min & stops include Haymarket and Princes Street. It takes 15 min to drive to the City Centre & Edinburgh Airport, & a 12 min drive to Murrayfield stadium. Locally there’s 2 pubs, 2 restaurant & a Co-op.

The cottage is well situated for exploring the area, being just 5 minutes drive from Rosslyn chapel, (which you can also walk to from the cottage by following the path through the glen.)The Pentland hills are only 10 minutes drive, and it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to edinburgh city centre. It is a great place to come home to after a day of hillwalking ,working or sight seeing.
