“This was our second stay at Amanda’s, and it will not be our last. Location is perfect, check in easy and communication is excellent. This stay we made use of the beach amenities (since our own chairs broke), the small cooler, and even the first aid kit. Amanda thinks of it all! Amanda was especially great helping us with spaces for both of our vehicles and with a late night issue with the wifi. We didn’t want to leave!”
Look no further for a gorgeous sound front view, a kiteboarder's dream, or a quiet oasis get-a-way. This Sound front home rents it's lower level of 3 separate ensuite bedrooms and has proven to be a wonderful retreat for renters by its reviews.
“Pat and Donna have a beautiful place on the sound. The bedroom was plenty big with a plush king sized bed and private bathroom. The common areas were well equipped, clean, and thought out. The deck is an amazing place to have a drink and watch the sunset. The yard and dock is all set up to self launch/land kites, which is a very easy process. Pat gave my girlfriend kite lessons, she got excellent instruction and made significant progress on the trip. I had no complaints and hope to return again in the future.”

“This space is exactly what it says: A secluded, quiet location for those looking to get away from some of the more crowded areas in the Outer Banks. This was our first vacation since the Before Times and it was exactly what we needed. The bedroom/bathroom space is spacious, clean, and comfortable, with windows facing the sound allowing a perfect sunset view. Jared is as present or not present as you need him to be: there to offer a quick overview on check-in and incredibly responsive if you have any issues, but otherwise content to leave you to your vacation. The amenities really are great -- we didn't utilize any of the communal amenities such as the outdoor kitchen or kitchenette, pool table, or hot tub because of COVID-19, but it's a great set up. The mini fridge in the room itself was so welcomed, we brought a lot of our own food to avoid eating out (again, COVID) so it was wonderful to have that option to store everything. There is a gas station/convenience store shortly south down the road for easy ice purchasing for your beach cooler (and mask-wearing compliance in the store was good!). Similarly. the array of outdoor water sports equipment is great as well....we originally had ambitions to try them, but were content to sit on the beach once the weekend started. I was initially a little concerned about the people renting the other bedrooms (COVID and all) but we barely ever saw or heard them, so if that is a concern of yours, know that it really is easy to keep to your own space. The Atlantic side and the beach is an easy five walk minute walk away, and it is easy to keep walking north up the beach to escape the families and to find a totally empty patch of sand. And the dock behind the house also offers a great perch to watch the sunset or just chill with a cold drink. Note that the bridge construction is definitely THERE. We only heard it on the Monday morning as we were packing up to leave. Not really a nuisance just a fact of the house right now, and certainly nothing that Jared or the other residents of the community can control, but be aware that there is an interruption to the sightline on that side of the house now, and you will probably hear construction on weekdays if you are in the house. But don't let that stop you from booking. This is a great option for anyone looking to get away for a few days and avoid the crowds. Will absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an OBX escape!”
