“What a place! The service is amazingly good, staff is so kind and peaceful. You definitely feel that they care. Definitely recommand the Ryokan. Location is perfect, calm and beautiful, by the rice fields. Bonus, they come at the station to pick you up as we were traveling by train. Onsen are quite amazing and you can definitely enjoy all of them on a private way. One outdoor Onsen, one indoor and a last one entilery made out of rocks and kind of a sauna experience. Three ways to enjoy yourself. The place is tattoo friendly which is amazing for foreigners as you tend to have trouble to find the perfect spot if you are inked. Bedroom are spacious and there are a lot of attention waiting for you there. We took the all in experience with diner and breakfast and it was quite unbelievable. You should definitely go for it as you will experience local food with seasonal ingredients. Some of the staff speaks English and even those who don't you make your way as everybody is so patient. We definitely will come back in the winter season to enjoy it under the snow. Thank you so much again.”
A picturesque log cabin backed by forest, looking over meadows. The perfect setting for one or two families or groups to launch their mountain adventures. Now open for green season. Barbeque package and long-stay discounts available!
“This place is amazing! So spacious and well set up. They are not kidding about first run, it is right on the snowfield. The boarders in our party looooved it. Bruno (house minder and ski instructor) was very helpful and is a fabulous cook (if you ask nicely)! He also is happy to share his knowledge of the slopes. There are toboggans and snowshoes too, lessons can be arranged etc. A note of caution - you will have to carry your gear and supplies through Nozawa, onto the gondola and across said snowfield. It is a trek, especially with boardbags and the supplies! Also the last gondola up the mountain is at 3.30 and there is no other way to access the chalet, so don't miss it! This does mean that you are limited in day trips etc, but, you'll be on the slopes all day anyway. Highly recommended! We hope to be back next year :)”
We welcome you to the Discovery Cabin Thank you very much! It is a small country hotel run by a family, "To the country where you always have it" I would be glad if you could touch such a landscape. It is a really quiet village, but I hope the time you spend here will be an unforgettable memory with the gentle wind and clear air, and birds.
“Access is good. Close to the interchange. If you run a little, there are supermarkets, home improvement stores, family restaurants and convenience stores. The children were very happy. Since it was a season with little snow, I went to Nozawa Onsen. I will arrive in about 20 minutes. Ideal for winter sports.”
