The hut is a truly romantic place to get away from the rigours of the world, escape and be close to nature, enjoy campfires, fantastic sunsets, visits from red squirrels and amazing starlit nights. Saturday arrival only. An attractive 2 bedroom barn conversion, mainly on one level, with views across the Northumberland National Park. Enjoying a tranquil, rural position, surrounded by stunning countryside, this is an idyllic spot to rest and refresh. Brilliant for walkers and cyclists (Sandstone Way cycle route) and a great base for exploring wonderful Northumberland. Located within the "International Dark Sky Park" it is a fantastic place to stargaze, with specialist equipment provided.

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. In the mornings you can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the formal dining room. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use.

South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.
