Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

The apartment is accessible down a flight of stairs with a separate entrance and private garden/patio. The 1 bedroom apartment with a sofabed in the lounge is suitable for 2 adults & 2 young children or 3 adults. There are spectacular views of the Alps (Churfirsten) from all windows. Pleasant newly renovated 3 room apartment with new kitchen, bathroom, large living room with a great view. Private seating with fire bowl. Parking. Wifi is available and the surrounding area is child-friendly. The Obertoggenburg region is excellent for hiking holidays with Klangweg, various cable cars (e.g. Säntis / Chäserugg). In the winter, various ski resorts entice, some of which have family-friendly offers. The upper apartment is occupied by our junior.

In just 13 minutes, you can take the PostBus to the nearest ski resort. Beautiful hikes can be made from the front door. Starting from a booking of one night, you will receive the Toggenburger guest card with which you can benefit from many discounts. You can travel for free in Obertoggenburg by public transport.

The Wolzenalp has plenty to offer in summer and winter. Various lifts take you to the ski slopes in winter. The chairlift gives you convenient access to our sports and recreation area – especially in summer. The popular hiking trail "Thurweg" runs right behind the chalet.

Time out at the Churfirsten

Our cozy studio is located in Walenstadtberg at 850 m directly below the Churfirsten, which makes it an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, etc. Lake Walen, which is a ten-minute drive away at the foot of the mountain, offers cool refreshment. You can end the day comfortably by the fire pit and enjoy the stunning views of the valley. There is a regular bus service to Walenstadtberg.
