This is a rental house surrounded by the rich nature of Iizuna Kogen.It was built in the year of the 1998 Nagano Olympics at an altitude of 1200 meters. The traditional wooden building, finished without a single nail, was completed by a famous architect and a master carpenter.It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of handiwork. Powerful and delicate wood, shoji natural light, shoji and shade of Isamu Noguchi's Akari lighting create a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity. Artisanal stucco walls are used in the room.You can stay comfortably in any season while being surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. There are 4 Japanese-style rooms of 8 tatami mats that can accommodate up to 10 people.It is the perfect place for those who want to taste the beauty and tranquility of Japan.Iizuna Kogen where you can enjoy seasonal nature.Beautiful summer with beautiful fresh greenery, brightly colored autumn leaves, and winter with snowy landscapes —— it has a different charm every time you visit. After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. There is no houses in neighbor and very quiet area so you can enjoy BBQ party or any group event. We also have fire pit place at our beautiful garden! Quiet time is after 10pm. Please not make loud noises or loud music. The villa can occupy 16 people so it's perfect for group traveler and several family with children. We have big bath tub so please relax!
