Raices hostel is located in the heart of Mompiche, in the old neighborhood. Surrounded by birds, mangroves and tropical forest, Mompiche is a small fishing village, where the jungle falls into the sea, with several surf spots, surf schools and a varied gastronomic offer. We offer simple and comfortable rooms, built with local materials such as wood, bamboo and toquilla. The services are shared (bathroom, kitchen, patio). There is Wi-Fi throughout the hostel. We offer breakfast for an extra price.

Casa Banana - 2 floor Beachfront Cabin

Cabin accommodates up to 6 guests on two floors with and private bathroom. Right on the beach, the cabin offers stunning views of Mompiche's bay and point break. Access to a communal kitchen, dining area and thatched roof hammock area. Parking space is provided. May arrange, jungle tours, mangrove tours, visit to chocolatier and biodiverse cacao farm. The Madre Selva Restaurant is part of the Casa Banana complex and our guests may receive a discount provided arrangements are made before hand.

CasaToquilla is located on the island of Portete in Esmeraldas, 5 min from Mompiche. The passage is only by boat and this makes it an adventure. You have protected mangroves and neighboring islands that you can visit. An amazing and quiet place. Casa Toquilla is part of an investigation by our architecture studio RAMA Estudio, in which it is proposed to work with endemic materials and construction systems of the region. The idea was always to have our refuge in direct connection with the sea.

In our cabin in the palm grove by the sea you will feel the cozy aesthetics of bamboo, wood and toquilla. The carefully designed architecture is in direct contact with nature. Enjoy the transparent sea and the clear sand of the wide beach lined with palm trees. The Island is a natural sanctuary where turtles nest and whales arrive. Disconnect from the routine in the tranquility of the island, paddle through the mangroves, fish or make boat trips to the nearby islands or go whale watching.

Casatenorio a cozy place to stay in Bolivar

Casatenorio is a very cozy wooden house built in the local style and allows views of the Bolivar estuary. The house has 3 bedrooms, a large comfortable kitchen and two dining areas surrounded by mango and other fruit trees within the Casatenorio property. Bolivar is a small island community of Black Clam harvestors and fishermen. There are two grocery stores and fresh seafood is available all year. Visits to beaches, like Jupiter Island, Portete and Cojimies can be easily arranged.
