Takehara / One group per day only, Edo period kominka-style accommodation

Takehara City is located along the sea between Kure and Onomichi. The inn is a two-story, detached house with a courtyard built in the Edo period, located in the center of the Takehara Townscape Preservation District (a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings), a 13-minute walk from JR Takehara Station and a 20-minute drive from Hiroshima Airport. There are almost no people in the morning and evening, and you can spend a quiet time as if you have traveled back in time to an Edo period town. The spacious free space on the second floor is a large space with luxurious ceiling beams and a view of the streets of the town from the windows. From the room facing the courtyard on the second floor, you can see Fumeyakaku, a landmark of Takehara. In a space that has been artistically renovated with organic materials, you can enjoy unique art in various places. The bath is particularly special, with a hand-made ceramic bathtub by a craftsman from Yamagata prefecture, painted by the artist owner. The walls are plastered with a round finish and have art by Horro. The floor is covered with vibrant blue tiles from Awaji Island. The walls are plastered with Hiroshima oyster shells. Different walls in each room. The floorboards are made of 100% hinoki cypress from Tamba Sasayama. The tamped earth floor, earthen walls, plastering, and floorboards are all finished in a warm, DIY space.

Omisima is in the middle of the Shimamami Kaido. A room with a stunning view of the sea and the bridge.

A perfect stay at the midpoint of the Shimamami Kaido, at the foot of the Tamora Bridge, while watching the sparkling sea and the bridge up close. Originally a construction company office, this renovated building has an impressive, rugged, and modern design with a "factory" theme. The steel lines and concrete textures create a calm and warmth that soothes the fatigue of travel. It can accommodate up to 4 guests, and is perfect for a bike trip with friends or family island time. The illuminated view of the Tamadare Bridge from the window is a beautiful view that symbolizes the beauty of the night. There is a craft ice cream shop on site, and a coffee and donut shop will also open in December.A sweet bite to taste after running through gently refreshes the memories of your trip. There is also a quiet beach within walking distance, where the morning sea breeze and the evening light will give you a memorable time. The convenience store is also a short walk away, and it is a few minutes' drive from Omishima IC. It is a hideaway in Setouchi that makes you want to stop by during your trip. There is also a locked warehouse for cyclists, so you can store your bicycle with peace of mind.

A traditional Japanese house hotel by the sea where the sun sets. The entire building is for rent. You can also BBQ on the deck. Walking distance to Sunset Beach.

This is an old house-style villa on Ikushima, known as the citrus island, originally used as a barn, designed by a first-class architect and renovated by a craftsman. In the morning, enjoy a refreshing time on the balcony while looking out at the calm Seto Inland Sea in the clear air. In the evening, the sunset that colors the sea, sky, and island spreads out in front of you without being blocked by the building. The charm of Ikushima's sunset is that you can enjoy a different expression every day, such as a bright red one day and a romantic pastel pink another. Why not meditate in an elegant and somewhat ephemeral space, feel the power, and spend a luxurious time? The barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere is also exceptional. Enjoy the view outside from the bathroom, and on clear nights, you can also enjoy bathing while watching the starry sky. During the day, you can relax on the fluffy sofa in the building, enjoy fishing, or hop around the island. In summer, you can also enjoy swimming at Sunset Beach. Setoda Sunset Beach also has rental bicycles, so cycling is also recommended in spring and autumn. ※ Setoda Sunset Beach is a 15-minute walk.
