“Staying at Susan's place was an island of serenity in the midst of my daughter's wedding. It also turned out to be right across the street to the venue, Pelican Beach. Did not know that until after we booked. How perfect! Everything we may have needed was there, even a band aid for my husband's blister from his new shoes! The front porch was our oasis at night where we looked at the stars. We even walked over to the beach to see the moon rise. If we return for a visit, we would love to stay there again. Thank you Susan and Kent!”
Welcome to the heart of the Eau Gallie Art district--pubs, restaurants, boutiques, museums and galleries. Our little neighborhood is a hidden gem full of ancient oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss and Southern charm. Take a stroll down to the marina or Rosetter or Houston park and read about the historic homes along the way. Or skip the gym for a 3-mile walk instead, over the Eau Gallie bridge to Canova Beach.
“Fantastic stay. We had a really fun time walking around downtown. The location really made it. The inside was quaint and artsy and it had everything you might need! We would stay again.”
Our bungalow is located on 2 acres of historic land. Originally known as the Kentucky Military Institute the buildings are over 100 years old, built in the late 1900s. The property overlooks the Eau Gallie River and we can accommodate kayaking, fishing, & boat dockage. We are 3 miles from the beach and 2 miles from the Melbourne Airport. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is the place for you. You can watch the local wildlife all day and enjoy the serenity.
“Looking for a relaxing and cozy place to stay? The bungalow is THE place. Brenda and her family were so hospitable and friendly to us. I loved the majestic oak trees and the waterfront property. I had fun on the tree swing, had dinner outside and even did some yoga on the boat dock. The bungalow feels like home away from home. The kitchenette is well stocked with dishes, utensils, mugs and wine glasses. The couch and bed were comfortable with soft bedding. The bathroom is also well stocked with toiletries, towels, toilet paper, and beach towels. I loved the rain shower head in the bathroom. The bungalow is a few minutes drive from the beach and grocery stores. It’s in an established neighborhood that feels like Florida. Pros: location, waterfront property, and shower. Brenda is an excellent communicator and is very responsive to our needs. Cons: near railroad tracks (but bring ear plugs). I would love to stay at this place again.”
