You dont need to be artistic to make something amazing on the potter’s wheel! The throwing explanation and demonstrations will walk you through the process step by step in 3 phases: 1. Centering 2. Opening 3. Pulling We will go through the 3 stages discussing how to operate the wheel, hand positions, body mechanics, and watering. The design of this class is to develop the understanding you needed to make centered pots with even walls. Many students take this class because they have always wanted to try ceramics. I try to teach the fundamentals which make it easy to imagine taking more classes when they get home from their vacation. The feeling of turning spinning clay into something functional like a cup or bowl can be an almost magical and definitely therapeutic experience. It’s the kind of process that allows you to focus on being where you are without any other thoughts or distractions. Not everyone keeps the pots they make. But if students make something they really like, I can trim, add handles, and fire their pots. Firing fees range between five and twelve dollars and are based on the volume and quantity of pieces made in their group. Shipping is usually done via USPS but I can also ship to international locations as well. Our team of instructors are all certified lifeguards who have extensive experience working with people of all ages and skill levels. To start your incredible snorkeling journey, you'll meet up with my certified tour guides at the beach. At first, you'll be in the shallower waters, where you'll receive comprehensive instruction on the basics of snorkeling, such as how to use masks and fins, and you'll need to wear a life jacket. My team will be right by your side to offer personalized support and guidance so that you can feel comfortable and confident in the water. Once you've got the hang of breathing effectively with a snorkel and staying buoyant, we'll take you to the nearby reef where you can witness turtles and other fascinating marine animals. Local guided spearfishing - 2hr segment to gauge interest, water experience & determine how deep into the activity one can safely perform. From there we can further continue experience until guest is fully stoked or finish and have had enjoyed an incredible unique opportunity. This is a way in Hawaiian culture to sustainably harvest fresh fish, and other ocean delicacies! I have hosted numerous trips leading to satisfied and thankful guests to have done this experience. I have all the gear and safety knowledge to explain and safely watch my guest. We focus heavily on SAFETY and SUSTAINABILITY on our tours. You will learn safe freediving and spearfishing techniques/practices, learn about ocean health, ocean safety and how to be more vigilant and respectful in the ocean. Knowing marine animal species, legality, and which fish is something a guest will enjoy while not impacting the ocean/ reef health. We will do a "FISH ID" segment discussing targeted fish, and fish we are not going for. Maui Goat Yoga is much more than just a yoga class -- it's about removing yourself from day to day stress and anxiety and focusing on optimistic and happy thoughts and feelings. It's about health, wellness, smiles...and goats! Our miniature goats are very friendly and love to cuddle and play with guests both during and after class. . There is a 5 to 10 minute introduction of the goats and "goat etiquette (goat awareness / behavior)". Then 30 to 40 minutes of yoga class / therapy and the rest of the time is goat therapy / playtime.
