Kayaking around Departure Bay is easy as the kayaks are kept just above the high tide mark, grab life jackets and paddles from the yoga room and you’re good to go. Later you can relax in the hot tub , or send the kids down to play on the trampoline. All this 10 minutes from the shops and cafes of Nanaimo.

Swim, Paddle board, Kayak, Beach comb, Picnic or just relax - beside the salt water and a patch of old forest. Nanaimo is centrally located, permitting day trips to Vancover, Victoria and even Tofino. Luke (myself) reside in the suite.

Spacious, peaceful 1250 sq ft. upper totally self contained suite. The crystal clear Nanaimo river at your doorstep. Spacious kitchen is ready for the family chef but if you don’t feel like cooking the neighborhood offers a variety of pubs and restaurants. Many trails close by for walking or jogging. West coast rugged beachfront cabin with easy beach access. 45 minutes from the city. Plenty of kitesurfing, mountain biking, close excellent surfing (Jordon River) and hiking areas. ( west coast trail, Juan de fuca marine trail). Local whale watching area. Winter storm watching or simply reading a book by the fire. A lovely spot for two after a long day of activities. You’ll enjoy quiet sunsets, perhaps the odd storm, relax and recharge.
