A bright and tidy two-room apartment with a sauna on the shore of Lake Jyväsjärvi. The house, completed in 2019, is in the Rantaraita housing fair area. The spacious glazed balcony opens up to an unobstructed lake view towards the city center. Swimming beach. Private parking space next to the downstairs door. The area has beautiful and diverse hiking trails and a disc golf course. The apartment is fully equipped (extensive tableware, appliances, sleeping arrangements for four people, 65" smart TV with streaming services, air heat pump, hanging chair, etc.).

I live alone in this two-bedroom apartment and host on Airbnb thanks to the extra space. The property includes two bedrooms (I live in one of them), an office where I work on weekdays, a bathroom with a sauna, an additional toilet downstairs, a living room, kitchen, and a spacious back terrace where smoking is allowed (during wintertime). Sauna use is available for an extra fee. The nearest grocery store is 1.1 km away, and it's 5.3 km by car to the city center. A bus also runs past the street

b&b Villa Selkola

Villa Selkola has previously served as a forest school. It is located in the middle of nature and the distance to the shore of Lake Selkojärvi is about 150m. There is a sauna on the beach with a fireplace and a terrace, a dock and a rowboat. NOTE! The beach sauna is not in use from mid-August until the end of September. You can rent canoes from us for €30/day. There are currently two kayak units on site. It's a good idea to book a few days in advance. We serve breakfast to our guests.

There are 9 rental cabins and a big cottage, wood heated sauna, coffee shop, playfield and bonfire, grill shelters and rowing equipment rental on the territory of the village. Villa is only 2 hour drive from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Easy access by cars. Private yard and private river line with own small beach. Lovely forests from back yard with mushrooms and wild berries. Exellent area for canoeing. Hiring companies at Mäntyharju. At Mäntyharju you can find well equipped grocery stores, wine shop, bike and canoe rentals, cinema, bars, restaurants, vintage stores, market square with fresh fish and ice cream. Biking and sking tracks and lots more.
