Stylishly Refurbished Heritage House (Muda Blue)

Originally built in the early 1900's, the house was dilapidated and not fit for habitation. It was out of passion to restore the building that Muda Blue came about. As the house is protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription, its structure and facade had to be maintained, which we were happy to do. It is now a charming house to live in with modern amenities and an artistic touch. High-speed internet with Netflix available on a smart TV. Note: Potential noise from the street

Loft living in a heritage shophouse

An unusually awesome & modern duplex apartment in a shophouse for 1-4 persons. It's a rare unit, and the price actually reflects the high cost of electricity in Malaysia. IMPORTANT: 1. There are 2+1 flights of stairs to the Loft unit and loft inside. 2. This is a traditional house. Don't expect a modern hotel. You have to turn off a/c when going out, fiddle with padlocks, and practise recycling of cans, glass, plastic and paper, take out wet rubbish nightly.

A common area features a large green chalkboard mounted on a concrete wall. Circular, gray cushions are placed on the wooden floor, accompanied by a vintage trunk and decorative baskets. A vase with flowers sits next to a collection of books and games, providing a cozy atmosphere for group activities.

With a light refurbishment, we remained the most original structure of the house while mixing authentic style and urban style design to the house, in order to create a living experience which is nearest to the life style of a resident living in George Town heritage building.

Hundred Year Old Heritage Shophouse (Ground Floor)

A 100 year old shophouse in the heart of Georgetown. Meticulously renovated from an existing birdhouse to its former glory. All renovation was carried out using recycled hard wood and red bricks. The electrical work and water piping are all exposed. The ground floor is terracotta and furniture has been constructed using cut-offs from roofing beams, old railway sleepers and window frames.
