Swimming area in Skarvann with swimming jetty is also within walking distance. Otherwise, Øisangferga goes to Risør city center (and back) several times a day. Nice hiking terrain and short drive to the Svabergene on Stangnes and Portør.

Bjønnepodden is placed on a fantastic view plot on the Bjønnåsen cabin. Panoramic views in quiet surroundings with nature right outside. The pod is small but you have access to most of the amenities as well as a separate toilet and outdoor shower with hot water. Note: when the frost comes, the outdoor shower is closed, but there is still hot water inside. A short drive inside the field and you will get to the swimming area and jetty in Røsvika. There are nice hiking areas right outside and an active wildlife.

Short walk (1.7km) to Wrightegaarden where concerts are held throughout the summer. Nice for fishing from or along the mountain beyond in the fjord. Paddling, SUP, and bike rides are fine in the area.
