The snow-covered mountains make Killington a popular spot for downhill skiing and snowboarding during the winter months, but as the snow melts, the mountains are transformed with green throughout the forests and mountainsides.

While hiking and biking are popular ways to explore the stunning mountain scenery, Killington also has a 4,800-foot rollercoaster that gives riders a unique way to experience the beauty of the mountains. Although the town is known for the numerous outdoor activities visitors can enjoy throughout the year, it is anything but a sleepy mountain town — Killington’s active nightlife draws people from all over the region. Lounges, taverns, and steakhouses come alive as the sun sets, allowing for some nighttime fun before the next day of exploration begins.
