Our cottage is located at the banks of the Yuhara River, at the banks of the Uenbara River. Speaking of Gifu, Shirakawa-go and Hida Takayama are famous, but Enhara is also an inconvenient place in the mountains, but it is nice. The landscape of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a natural place where monkeys and deer appear. The Enhara River is a landmark of Japan's most beautiful underwater water and light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of underwater, so the transparency of the water is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On a summer morning, you can see a magical view of sunlight from among the trees due to weather conditions. The water in the Enhara River is cold, but in the summer, the children are playing in the river energetically. Temperatures drop a lot in the river, so even those who escape the heat and cool off. A little further downstream, there are a few spots to play in the river, and the water is clear and beautiful everywhere, making it pleasant to swim. The water in the river shines a little deep in emerald green, and the rock and moss landscape is fantastic, making it a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can barbecue while looking at the river, swing in a hammock while listening to the river's murmur, refresh yourself in the tent sauna, and relax and forget your daily life.

We renovated a two-story storehouse built in the Edo period and made it into a guest house. Although it is not spacious, a kitchen with an IH cooking heater is installed on the first floor, while maintaining the atmosphere of a storehouse with its earthen walls and thick beams. The first and second floors are equipped with air conditioning for a comfortable stay. You can experience the sound insulation, summer coolness, and winter warmth unique to a storehouse. If you like, you can enjoy coffee made with freshly ground beans. Sister-gawa Onsen and Ibuki Yakuza-Yu are about 15 minutes away by car. We can provide you with a ticket for Sankawa Onsen (cheaper than the regular price). Please contact us about pick-up and drop-off. There are many tourist spots unique to Nagahama, which has often been the stage of history. Hikone Castle, a National Treasure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Nagahama Castle, the birthplace of Ishida Mitsunari, one of Japan's leading mountain castles, Otaki, the site of the battle, and others. It is also less than 20 minutes by car to the Sekigahara Battlefield. In addition to the area around Lake Biwa, there are plenty of non-historical attractions such as Japan's oldest railway station building, Nagahama Railway Square, the Yanmar Museum where children can play, and Kurobane Square. You can also enjoy gourmet food such as Omi beef, duck cuisine, grilled mackerel somen, noodles, salad bread, duck, and small ayu.

Inuyama Castle is the oldest castle in Japan and is very popular. In addition, the castle town is full of delicious things, so it is crowded with many people. There is a convenience store within walking distance. There are also many chain restaurants such as yakiniku and conveyor belt sushi, as well as eel shops and delicious restaurants that can be lined up. We have free rental bicycles, so you can go to many shops. Sorry, there are no children's bikes for children 9 years old and younger. This is a condominium-type accommodation that can accommodate up to 4 people. The first floor is exclusively for guests. The quaint and retro atmosphere unique to the old house is arranged in a living room. Nearby, you can enjoy a walk in the Kawaramachi area, which is lined with renovated machiya cafes and bakeries, and the Nagara River, which is famous for Ukai (Ukai is from May to October). It is a charming area with lots of nature and fields. Experience the nostalgic life of real Japan, not Japan that was made. We will rent one building, so please have a relaxing time with your family, partners, and groups. The convenience store is about a 4-minute drive away. The supermarket is about an 8-minute drive away. I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!
