“Wow. What a great place. They actually have 5 rooms, so it’s almost like a hostel - except everyone has a private space, and company if they want it - we sat around outside on the deck and chatted, or ate, or whatever. It’s a short walk to restaurants and shops, and not much farther to the beach if that’s what you’re after. Then come back and get offered coffee or tea. Or chocolate. Or Raki. Or who knows what. Even my motorcycle was treated like royalty and housed inside, downstairs (where they moved a bunch of stay to make room). If I’m ever back in Himare, I’ll be staying there again if they’ll have me. P.S. The hosts don’t speak much English, but their daughter is available via email or even phone if needed. She’s studying in the UK, so her English is nothing to sneeze at!”

“Freddies bungalow is located at a very nice and semi quiet beach. You can access it easily by car or scooter. If arriving from bus you have to take a taxi for 600-1000 leke or walk 45minutes around the rocks from Himare as this is where all the buses will drop you. The bungalow is not located directly on the beach as expected. It does not have a direct sea view but is less than 2 minutes walk from the beach. There are plenty of resturants and beach bars and two small supermarkets within 5 minutes walk so once you are there you have no reason to leave. The area has an amazing beach which also offers sun shades and Bali beds for 500-1500 leke per day respectively. Behind the bungalow is a local campsite which is reasonably quiet. On the other side is a fancy 4* hotel. The hotels kitchen door is 10 metres from the bungalows windows and doors. So if your after a quiet morning breakfast or evening dinner maybe it's better to book elsewhere which will cost you extra Or eat in one of the Affordable resturants nearby. Our stay was nice and was probably the best value for money in the area if your not interested in sleeping in a tent. Plenty to do at the beach directly at the bungalow or within 20minutes drive so I would recommend staying 3-5 days.”

“Niko and his parents are very friendly and open people. In fact, I think they are the nicest people I've met through airbnb! :) We spent there a really great time, my family and I. Niko drove us home when we arrived quite late after a long trip by car. His parents received us like if we were their family. The flat was very clean, the rooms were big and comfortable. We felt like home. And of course - this huge terrace with a stunning view, the sunrises and the sunsets - we will never forget it and will surely come back!”
