A Beach Getaway at Holden

This is just what you are looking for. An affordable place to relax. Holden is a quiet, friendly, family oriented beach. Our home is located on the third row with no one in front of you. From the new back porch, we are steps to the beach. We are a short walk or bike ride to a public park, restaurants & ice cream. ATTENTION RENTERS! The public beach access closest to us is closed. You will have to use the beach access to the left, about 200 steps. Renters must be a minimum of 25 years old

2 bdrm, 2 1/2 bth oceanfront duplex with 3 pools and tennis courts! Bed and Bath linens included! Private driveway for Golf cart rental permitted. Sorry, strict no pet policy. Sat -Sat weekly rentals in summer season. PLEASE NOTE: All three pools are for our guests to use and are maintained thru the HOA and we do not have any control over exactly when they open (Usually April 1st ) or if any of them closes for any reason. "Hooked on Holden" Beach House

Our family duplex has joined the Airbnb movement and is centrally located on the island, midway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway, often referred to as third row. The public assess walkway is only minutes away and was recently rebuilt. It is now handicap accessible and there are NO STEPS! This summer the check in and check out days are Sunday to Sunday. This is a change, but is needed to get the best cleaners to get everything ready for your week.

Home to fewer than 700 residents, it’s one of the mellower North Carolina beach towns of Brunswick County. For years, Holden Beach forbade the construction of buildings taller than 35 feet, so it retains a small-town feel and has long been a favorite choice for quiet family beach getaways in the summertime. With Shallotte Inlet to the west and Lockwoods Folly Inlet to the east, this barrier island is rife with coastal waterways just begging to be explored by boat or kayak: you may spot nesting sea turtles, shorebirds fishing for their lunch, and even the occasional dolphin. When you’ve had enough of the water and white-sand beaches, there are some 125 golf courses within an hour’s drive.
