The house is surrounded by a large terrace made out of hardwood, which is located 80 centimeters above the ground level so you have a beautiful view over the lake and there is always a windless place to enjoy the sun. There is also a boat available and a private pier with a matching table and sofa where one can relax and enjoy a sunset or try to catch fish.

Home on a lake near Amsterdam - sleeps up to 11

Our home is idyllically located on a small lake, 30 minutes from Amsterdam and walking /cycling distance from the beautiful city of Haarlem. 5 minute walk to all amenities. The beach is a 30 minute cycle from the house and we have body boards you can borrow. Some bikes are also available for use. On the lake you can swim, kayak and paddle board. We have a rabbit that roams freely in the garden. This is where we live so there are family photos in various rooms. No parties please.

Our recently renovated family house (160m2) is within cycling distance (5 min) from the center of Haarlem (also called the small Amsterdam). Our neighborhood is a quiet and leafy area near a beautiful park. Haarlem is known for its shops, nice restaurants and museums. Amsterdam (15 km) and other cities can be reached by car/bus/train. The beaches and the circuit of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort by bus/bike/car (6 km). We are a 10-minute walk from the train and bus station.

You have your own bathroom and kitchen. Breakfast is purchased but must be prepared by yourself. You enter the house through a common entrance and then go up two stairs to the apartment in the attic.
