Just outside the Lake District National Park but within a 30 minute drive of Keswick you get the best of both worlds of exploring the attractions of the Northen Lake District and the Solway Coast with its quaint seaside towns. Recently and stylishly renovated, this property used to be the communal wash house for the quiet tranquil village of Bolton Low Houses. It's location provides a relaxing getaway while being centrally based for exploring the Lake District, the Solway Coast, the border city of Carlisle, Hadrians wall and the Scottish border. A bus service runs through the village daily which will link you to Carlisle and West Cumbria including the Lakes. You'll find a shop 2.3 miles and a pub just 50 yards.

We would like to welcome you to our comfortable pet friendly accommodation in the heart of West Cumbria a short distance from Keswick , Penrith and Carlisle. We are situated on the edge of a small community village which boasts a local pub and only a 5 minute drive to the local town with amenities to include shops, cafes and take aways together with a train station. A perfect base for walkers and sightseeing. 2 or more by agreement off road parking spaces are readily available. .

Set within extensive gardens, in a tranquil rural hamlet, in the quieter NW corner of the Lake District National Park. Quiet, yet easily accessible by road and rail (9 miles) and within walking distance of the local pub. It is equidistant between the towns of Keswick, Cockermouth and Wigton. The nearest Wainwright (Binsey) is walkable from the front door. The house is 4/5 bedrooms, has a large family dining table, 3 lounges, each with stoves (one convertible to a bedroom).

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

Our beautiful camping pod sleeps 2 adults comfortably but could sleep 3 adults or 2 plus 1 young child. Pet friendly. There is a double bed in the pod. Based on our working farm with panoramic views of local fells and Skiddaw. We have 3 camping pods all sited for guest privacy but could all be hired by friends.
