Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the tranquility, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or to relax in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, it cools down more and it is nice to sleep. We don't need an air conditioner. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months, there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rent.

Welcome to our stylish townhouse situated in the heart of Quillan. Located just away from the square next to the stunning Eglise de Quillan - Notre Dame de l'Assomption. Plenty of cafes and bars can be found in the square and there is a twice weekly market on a Wednesday and Saturday where you can buy fresh produce. Quillan is a great base to explore the mystery and legend of Aude Cathar Country, with its hillside vineyards and Pyrenean peaks the perfect backdrop.

To make the most of your stay, here is a list of must-see places to visit near the gîte: Rennes le Château, Rennes les Bains, Pic de Bugarach, Vulture Observatory, Gorges de Galamus, the medieval city of Carcassonne. 1h30 from the beaches and 3/4h from the ski slopes in the Pyrenees. Lakes and swimming in the villages of Puivert and Quillan. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts, lots of marked trails.

Located 2 km above the village of Chalabre where you can find all the amenities of a village of 1000 inhabitants, you will stay in the middle of a property of 75 hectares facing the Pyrenees chain. The estate also welcomes mountain bikers as well as riders and their mounts.
