At Marmelal, you find our familiar village house, surrounded by the bucolic landscape of the Douro River and the vineyards. Visit the chapel classified as a Monument of public interest, then go to the discovery of the region. Two steps from Marmelal you can visit Porto wine farms or nearby cities. If you prefer, you can relax and forget about the stress of everyday life, resting looking in the area's vineyards or diving in the refreshing pool water overlooking the Douro.

Cascata Studio

This is a unique space, with stunning views of the waterfall and surrounding nature. Ideal for a weekend of adventure! Come prepared for poor cellular network and slow Wi-Fi, as the location is isolated. On the other hand, the sound of nature takes on a fantastic dimension, with the river water and birds surrounding us completely. Access is made (in the last 500 meters) by land and it is necessary to pay attention to the directions we provide so that you do not get lost.

Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro - Douro House

Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro is a family farm in the heart of the Douro, surrounded by vineyards and with a privileged view over the Douro River. With a winery that is over 150 years old, we preserve the tradition and family spirit of wine production. On the farm, you can enjoy visits to the winery, tastings of our wines, and organized half-day tours of farms in the Douro and Vinho Verde regions. An authentic experience to get to know the region, its wines and traditions.

Foal Retreat

Refúgio das Poldras is located in Vilar de Viando, right on the banks of the Cabril River, one of the cleanest rivers in the region. Excellent for bathing, swimming, or simply walking along more than 2 km of the Cabril River. It is located about 2 km from the center of the village if you want to walk along the Roman road. The bungalow features a double bed with a unique view of the river, a kitchenette for light meals, a bathroom with shower, and a suspended deck.

Casa dos Mochinhos

This family-owned house is located on a small farm overlooking the surrounding vineyards and the Serra do Marão and Serra das Meadas mountain ranges. The accommodation has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen. In winter, you can enjoy the fireplace. The house offers free Wi-Fi, a garden and outdoor space to relax and enjoy outdoor meals. The glazed balcony with stunning views of the Douro can be used for meals.

The Grandparents' House

With magnificent views over the Alvão mountain range, a uniquely designed infinity pool and a private Jacuzzi, Casa dos Avós will certainly provide a memorable experience for its guests. Originally built in the 1920s, The Grandparents´ House is located on a beautiful slope in Arnoia, having been the home of the Pereira family for many years. Completely rebuilt in 2021, this space is intended to continue to be a home for family and friends to gather.

Located in the heart of Ermelo and the Alvão Natural Park, Casa da Júlia is The place to recharge away from the confusion. Ideal for those who like nature, take walks in the waterfalls and enjoy good gastronomy. Ermelo has coffee and a restaurant about 500 meters from home. The Piocas de Baixo waterfalls are about 40 minutes away on foot, and if you prefer to take a dip in an easily accessible area, the Olo River Snack Park is 5 min by car.
