Step outside and enjoy stunning walks, superb bike rides or peaceful fishing directly from this lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in the beautiful Rhondda Valley, without even getting in the car. Bike Park Wales and the Brecon Beacons are also just a short drive away making the house an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore all that the area has to offer. Bike storage and bike washing facilities available. Parking for 3 cars. Up to 2 dogs are welcome for an additional £20 pet fee per dog.

Yr Hen Stabl is a dog friendly, converted farm stable full of character and charm. It is simply furnished with antique Welsh furniture and textiles. The cosy interior with wood burning stove offers a comfortable space in which to relax after long walks in the Brecon Beacons or from which to work remotely. Based near to the waterfalls, the cottage provides easy access to outdoor activities such as wild swimming, gorge walking and hiking. It is also conveniently situated for the Gower coast.

7 Arches holiday accommodation was completely refurbished in July 2019. Benefits from stunning views over the Afan Valley and located on the Afan Forest Park's low level cycle route 'Y Rheilffordd' (railway in welsh) which runs along the base of the valley. This is a great trail for families with picnic and refreshment stops along the 36km trail. 'Y Rheilffordd' gives easy access to 6 world class trails as well as Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre, Glyncorrwg Visitor Centre and Afan Bike Park.

Our cosy cottage on the edge of Blaengarw village, in a valley surrounded by mountains, and small lakes. Amazing walking country on the doorstep with dramatic views, and we are dog-friendly (but sorry, no cats). Real fire, Netflix, DVDs & books for huddled nights in. Great cycling with riverside rides and mountain trails. Shop, pub & takeaway in the village. Designer outlet, Odeon cinema, nature reserves and castles all a short drive. And we live round the corner for any advice or help!

Welsh Miners Cottage

Our cottage is situated in its original surroundings; the old mining village of Cwmparc. Now reclaimed by nature and with the Bwlch Mountain towering above the area it is a walker's paradise. Walks start straight out of the garden, leading in all directions. With sheep in the fields as companions and strolling along the rambling brook, it is easy to forget that one is actually only a few minutes away from all modern conveniences in Treorchy with shops, bars and restaurants.

A serene bedroom space is highlighted by a spacious bed and a small table with a vase and a cup. Natural light flows through large windows, offering views of distant mountains and greenery. A comfortable chair is positioned nearby, adding to the warm atmosphere.

A cosy and homely tour base in the heart of the South Wales Valleys with excellent road links for the myriad tourist attractions: Brecon Beacons, Zip World Tower, Pen y Fan, Waterfall Walks, Show Caves, Bike Park Wales, Castles, beaches and plenty more. We have a friendly local pub, post office, shop, and takeaways all within a couple of minutes walk, and there are country walks from the door should you not wish to drive. Please ask for details.
